COVERT DRESS

As the name suggests, this dress was created exactly to blend in. Several designs are available. It would be impossible to recognize the someone's affiliation solely by these clothes. The dark pieces suggest nothing out of order, while some armor lies beneath it.

Duraplast plates cover several parts of the body, but it is far from being heavy. The head is not covered at all, but a rebreather is at arm's reach, should the user need it. The dress allows agents to move easily and conceal the equipment they need to complete their mission. An operator belt along with an inner belt keep the user's waistline intact. Rigid enough to support any and all gear, yet has enough flexibility for comfort and fluid movement. No itching, even after hours of motionless hanging from the roof.

The first versions were developed hundreds of years ago by Imperial scientists, heavily based on agents feedback to meet their needs.

LEGALITY

This set is legal anywhere. So long the functions remain hidden, thinking of military presence would not be reasonable. Some of the exposed black plates might be frowned upon where armor is an uncommon sight.

INTENT

Adds a medium armor without a helmet to the site.

Type and Coverage

Type: Medium

Coverage:
  • Torso: Duraplast plates from crotch to neck.
  • Back: Duraplast plates from top to bottom.
  • Upper Arms: Duraplast plates from elbows to shoulders.
  • Lower Arms: Duraplast forearm and hand protection.
  • Upper Legs: Duraplast plates around knees and thighs.

Functions

Function 1: Rebreather
  • Rebreathers allow for a person to survive underwater or in space for brief amounts of time by scrubbing CO2 from their exhaled breath. Generally this lasts for 3-4 posts, but heavy exertion can shorten that time.
    Force User Compatible?: Yes
Function 2: Scatterweave
  • An incredibly rare and expensive material. Scatterweave is a coating that reflects very little light, making it extremely useful for sneaking at night. It also "scatters" the wearer's heat signature, making it difficult for automated sensor systems or thermal visors to get a precise fix on the wearer's location without intense scans.
    Force User Compatible?: No
Function 3: Gauntlet Buckler
  • Liked by bounty hunters and mercenaries, this small deployable shield on one forearm that provides protection over the space of 40 cm diameter circle, which is enough to usually cover the distance of the arm from fist to elbow. It can protect the wearer from 1 medium damage attack or 2 light damage attacks before deactivating. Heavy damage attacks are partially reduced, and deal "bleed through" equivalent to light damage. Once used, the shield must recharge and cannot be used again for the duration of the thread. The buckler has to be manually activated and deactivated. No other gauntlet functions may be used while the shield is deployed.
    Force User Compatible?: No
Function 4: Jump Boots
  • This rare and expensive technology is able to propel a person up to 10 meters beyond what a normal person would normally be able to jump, especially when armored. It is not capable of sustained flight, and requires a brief engine cool-down before it can be used again (1 post cool-down).
    Force User Compatible?: No
