Senator Starros of Lothal spoke absent-mindedly as he rolled back and forth on the balls of his feet, wringing his hands behind his back as he did so "Historic if nothing else." he said, muted to himself as turned away from the mural on the wall, depicting scenes from galactic history.
"Certainly one for the historic books, Senator." Sanna said softly, as they walked down the corridor.
"More likely for the tabloids, Senator. Do you know how this could be seen by some of your detractors?" his protocol unit was practically in hysterics as the trio made their way toward the landing pads.
"I would imagine they would not like it? No? But then again, we mustn't linger to much on what the likes of the 'Hyperlane Herald' have to say I think." he chuckled to himself. The droid was good at statistics and translation, but the finer points of political strategy were not its strong point. Arriving at the landing pad he had booked for Darth Andruil, Senator Starros paused just shy of the doors.
He straightened his robe, and quickly ran a comb through his snow-white hair, and took a deep breath.
"Here goes nothing." he winced, opened the door, and stepped out into the daylight that drenched the landing pad.
When his guest arrived, he would walk forward, stopping a short but respectable distance from them, and ever-so-slightly incline his head. "Darth Andruil, today is a historic day - on behalf of the people of Lothal, and the Free Worlds Alliance, I thank you for making the journey here to Chandrila, and look forward to productive talks between our two Governments."
