Nalla a simple debate doesn't start by assaulting the opponent but stating your beliefs. A debate is a subject that only has two view points...the views on Mandalorians vary because their culture has changed wnd evolved so many times.

I'm not sure why a debate wouldn't open up with an assault on the other persons belief, but fair enough. And honestly, your latter point is exactly what I was saying. <.<

Their culture has changed, The clan system fell apart and never ending war has thin the mandos.

Their culture may not be what they once want. The clan system needs to be fix, By anyone can join a clan or make a clan. It needs to have a more like groups, but not group clans as I said earlier but something like that. The mando need a ally that will help them on friendship and military and they need land too.

Oh, and on a productive note, concerning Major/Minor clans...

I think that Bac is spot on with his 2+1=3 rule, where the Major clans should be made up of 2 sep clans and 1 loyalist clan. However, seeing as how Corden is likely about to become the Mand'alor, I think there should be some sort of balance of power type thing whereas the clan of the Mand'alor not be allowed as a Major clan during their reign. Otherwise Clan Vencu would become disproportionately strong, being a Major Clan and headed by the Mandalore.

Concerning the loyalist Major clan, I disagree with the trend that Lucius has somehow earned Major clan-ness by his challenge. In my opinion (and yes, I know opinions on this site are dangerous to have) his challenge threw a major monkey wrench into what could have been peaceable talks, and should not be glorified to such a degree. On an individual basis, yes, his challenge was honorable. In terms of the over-arching peace plans? I don't think he helped much.

But again, that's just my opinion. If we are to go with the feudal system idea I suggested earlier, then it all really falls to the King/Mandalore. He would have the power to raise someone to "Lord" status due to individual actions, thus making the new "Lord's" clan a Major clan as a result.

Anywho, I feel like I'm rambling now, so you guys mull that over (or as is more likely, ignore it entirely) and I'll check back in a few. Cheers!

EDIT: Perhaps we could do a 3+2 Major Clans set up? 3 Sep clans and 2 Loyalist clans? Just a thought.

I agree with your entire post, Ralif. I'm still stuck on what Loyalist clan should be a major one, however. If not Clan Skirata, what? As you mentioned yourself, Lucius' single action does not warrant a surge in adoption large enough where he could challenge the numbers of an already existing clan.

Although, as Lucius mentioned to me earlier Clan Skirata hasn't really been in the mix of things for several years IC wise. I still think that Clan Skirata considering the current Loyalist situation. We don't really have any other to pick from.

EDIT: A 3+2 set up would mean all the clans wouldn't get a sub-forum.

As I said earlier it won't really matter now, since the duel is gonna go on and I'm not even sure if Lucius is gonna survive, so yeah... Also I doubt my challenge was the only disruption of the Peace talks xD

If Corden (or whoever wins, now that the duel is back on) is for it, then I think the feudal/king system Raif mentioned could work in terms of deciding who the clans would be. That would allow the major clans to change based on IC happenings as well -- i.e. if one Clan leader fell out of favor with Mandalore, he could be brushed aside in favor of a different Clan.

@Lucius: Hypothetically speaking, if you hadn't spoken up, I am pretty damn positive SOMETHING else would have happened to disrupt everything. However, I'm pretty sure you were the first to step up and throw the proverbial gauntlet (did I mix up my analogies? eff it) so you kind of opened the flood gates for a lot of the hating/shit talking/pissing matches that erupted between PCs.

On a different note...

That list of clans you posted earlier, Lucius, is that all of the PC clans represented by the Seps/Loyalists right now? I would be interested (not necessarily for MC purposes [MS=Major Clan] but just in general) to know how many PCs are in each of those clans. Although I realize that's kind of difficult, since some players (like me) have characters that belong to a clan but don't have the Clan name. Viggo =/= Ordo, for example.

Perhaps Clan Viggo could be a minor clan, and their liege lord is Clan Ordo? I'm just making this shit up as I go

Ninja EDIT: Yes! Bac agrees, that means it's basically law on this website right? My dream of turning this RP into Game of Thrones is one step closer to reality! Muahahaha /endevillaughter

I love such an idea. Really allows for some cutthroat political backstabbing and whatnot. Not to a paper-pushing degree, as it's Mandalorians we're talking about here, but politics is politics whether you wield a pen or a sword.

I'm sure you're joking but, just to be clear, no. It's still up to this faction and its leadership.
