The shadow runner broke atmo over the city planet in the late hours of planetary time. Balal Ren, better known as Sin Windrider, piloted the craft down. Landing on a privet landing pad in the heart of the Upper level of the city. The level that could steel see open sky and space. The Knight of Ren had returned from a meeting in wild space. One that was intended to set the current course for the Sith Eternal. To Balal, it did just that. It set his rules of engagement until The Eternal demanded otherwise.

However the long ride to a known hyperspace lane from the hidden home of the cult, and the subsequent lightspeed jump back to the core would set him in a state of flux. The scouting and reconnaissance craft had managed to pickup the Holonet broadcasts. The first broadcast, was that of a slug. Durr the Hutt. A boss of Five Syndicates. The second broadcast, was of the closest thing the galactic wide law enforcement known. To top it off, they had been revealed in some way to members of the Jedi. Perhaps to soon for the liking of some. The Eternal for sure.

As his ship came to rest on the pad, Balal quickly powered down and exited the ship. Clad in his Ren armor. He made his way to the privet lift and into the high rise apartment that overlooked much of the city. There he expected to see his dark apprentice. A young and naive, but powerful dark sider. One he intended to hone into a weapon of the shadow as sharp as himself. As the doors of the lift opened to the entryway of the apartment, he called out to her.

"I have returned, puppet." he said. His voice still robotic and scrambled from the helmet.

These last two weeks have been both a blessing and a curse for the raven haired female. Jez Winters had been -essentially- taken from her old life and thrown into a new one. She was living now with an Echani named Sin Windrider, but she called him Master. Sin had taken on Jez has his apprentice to train and teach her in the ways of the Dark side of the Force. After some brutal sessions to ensure she could even survive the harshness of his training methods, Sin left her there to wait for his return. In the meantime, she handled the tedious aspects of old life. Sin would not permit her to leave his residence, so she instructed one of his droids to run errands for her. He'd bring her back the minimal things she'd left behind at her old apartment, as well as sent it on a run for some new clothes on Sin's tab. The man clearly had money, where she did not. At his request, she'd gotten for herself several black outfits with matching corset bodices to match. They'd be perfect for giving her the impression of the Sith, but not necessarily revealing her true self to the world.

The outfit she was wearing today was a slightly more gray version of the sets. Like all the others it was frilly but not overly distracting. The outfit hung gently over her chest without going over her shoulders. It came down to her hips where under them she wore tight leather slacks which could tuck into her boots when/ and if she went out. Her red blade snap saber rested gently on her hip from her belt tied over the corset. Sin wanted her to get more accustomed to wearing it; though, he did not approve of the design and choice of function. She insisted on proving him wrong that, that she could indeed handle such a difficult weapon.

Jez knew even before he'd reached the lift that Sin was coming home today. She'd prepared and cleaned the house in anticipation (she'd also done this in her spare time when Sin left those first few days). When she actually felt his cold aura coming closer she began to squeal with excitement. She knew she would have to contain herself in his presence because she didn't want to annoy him. So she had to get it all out now. When the door slid aside and he entered in fully garbed in armor, she was waiting for him in the kitchen. A bottle of his favorite beer in her hands.

"My lord! You've returned. How was your trip?"

It was a short ride from the pad to the entryway of the large apartment. Hardly a moment to leave to think. Not that he needed more time to do so, given the trip back from wild space. As the the lift opened the knight would lay the eyes of his cold helmet on the pale yet caramel skin toned female waiting for him from across the way. The cold silver of the expressionless helmet did well to hide the half smile that came to his face.

Stepping out of the lift, he waved his hand across the open air of the room dismissively. The shadow responded to his will, closing every blind and shade in the vast open space. Covering the apartment in near darkness. Balal would then removed his helmet. Shedding his mask, and his smile. Becoming Sin once again, then placed it on a nearby table as he continued to walk into the kitchen.

The black leather glove took hold of the ice cold beer as Jez held the bottle by the neck. Sin took a long drink. Draining half the bottle before taking the bottle from his lips to answer Jez's greeting and question. "Long, to long. The Eternal demands expansion from the shadows edge. While one of our own has open us to the law and the hunters. While he is not clearly a cultist on the holo vids, he is without a doubt one of our ilk."

Sin then turned to exit the kitchen and toward the bedroom. Finishing his beer as he did. Setting the bottle beside his helmet. He would then start to strip away his armor as he hit the door of the bedroom. Then step into the refresher to wash himself of his sweat and of the long space flight. He held his head under the water and continued the conversation, "For now, we will do as the Eternal commands. You and I will withdraw from the core for now. I have a planet in mind to rebuild. With luck, we will also achieve our current mission."

As the curtains and windows turned to darkness, Jez would turn her head toward them to watch the light go out. It took her a second for her eyes to adjust to the light, or rather dark, but she understood why her master wanted secrecy. Only, it was not the reason she would have assumed. He walked over to her -now without his helmet- and took the bottle from her hands. She backed up out of his way and put her hands behind her back patiently. She listened as he explained her trip and how the eternal cult would soon be expanding.

"You mean about Durr?" she confirmed his mentioning of one of their own on the slug's holovid.

They two walked to the bedroom where Sin would begin to undress; his servant came to assist without any needed direction or order. She then stepped away again so he could enter into the washroom to freshen up. Her eyes followed him until the corner of the room blocked her view. Jez then set about to put away his armor and toss away his clothes which needed washed into a bin in the corner. Her master continued keeping though after the water started so she moved into the refresher room herself to hear him better.

Jez had a said tone in her voice as she asked, "You mean we have to leave?" Then quieter to herself, "I was really getting used to living on Coruscant. Now I have to go back out there...?" Jez sighed and played with her hair absentmindedly. "So where's this planet then? Anywhere I've heard of? Hopefully not too close to Moraband. I'd rather not return home if I don't have to. I don't wish to be anywhere near that hell again."

Sin washed his hair as he listened to Jez. It should of come to. No surprise to him that she would also see her own discomfort. That leaving the core and the city was the worst thing in the galaxy to her. That and perhaps the misguided idea that she might return to her home world.

"Save the whining for someone who cares. The core is the heart of the alliance. Coruscant has eyes everywhere, and you still stick out like a fresh kill on snow covered hill top.

No I have a much more corrupt place in mind. One that that has played a key role in previously in history. The planet of Akiva."

He continued to wash as his words sunk in to Jez's like a speeder in the dune sea. If she didn't know of the world it would not surprise him. Truthfully he knew little of it as well. Only that it once held a meeting of the Empire remnant and at one time had droid manufacturing capabilities. The latter being of more importance to him.

With a hurt gasp, Jez turned away from the refresher. For a second she thought she was glad to see him back. But then she remembered how cold he could be. How cruel. It did another thing for her though: put her in her place. She remembered that he was her master; she, the apprentice. She wasn't dating Sin, or anything of the sort. Just because she lived with him now didn't mean there was anything more to it. She had to close off those feelings. And his apathetic view of her was reminder of that.

Sin explained what they were doing and that they were going to head to Akiva. Jez admitted she didn't know much about it. She'd read its name somewhere, for the name sounded familiar, but that was the extent of her knowledge. Still, he expected an answer so when he finished she'd reply, "Yes sir," followed by, "Anything else?"

If he had nothing, she'd leave without another word, shutting the door behind her. From there she'd leave back to his bedroom and stand at the bed's edge for a moment. Her eyes followed her memory of the two of them sleeping together. He'd been so kind to her that night, letting her sleep in his arms. Jez longed for that. But she knew it wasn't meant to be. Jez sulked there for another minute before sighing and heading for the kitchen to start dinner.

He didn't bother to apologize, though he could feel in her aura that he wounded her. For as much progress as they had made in the short time, she was still soft. A fact he would continue to work on. But that would be for later. For the moment, he needed to finish washing. So that's what he did. Face, chest, pits and arms. Then the lower half. Rise, and done. A process that would take the next twenty minutes.

In that amount of time Jez would console herself and regain her composure. When he entered the bedroom, she had already moved to the kitchen. He was not sure what she or the droid likely assisting her was making, but it did smell good. However, as good as the smell was starting to linger from the kitchen, they needed to get to work.

Sin dressed in something more fitting of a scoundrel of rim or hutt controlled space. His black saber hilt hidden under the jacket, a blaster pistol on his hip. Not that he expected to use either. But it fit the bill. He would then step out of the bedroom and return to the entryway of the apartment.

"Leave that to the server droid puppet. Go change, find something a little less elegant and a more lower level slums. We have much to do before we leave the planet."

As Jez focused her mind on the task of dinner, she left all of her other worries behind her. Like cleaning, she worked best just diving in and clearing her mind of anything else. It felt good to have a task for her to work on with her hands. However, her master had other tasks in mind for the girl. He returned to her after dressing in a highly unusual outfit (in her limited opinion of him) and told her to do the same.

Jez tried to protest but cut herself off, "I.....Yes sir."

Leaving the food to their protocol droid, Jez then left for the bedroom once more. She went into their shared closet -not that he'd given her as much space as she would have liked- and started picking through the handful of outfits she'd gotten. Everything she told the droid to pick out had that sort of elegant flair she liked. That was the problem. Jez grumbled as she switched back and forth from hangar to hangar trying to see which dress was the slummiest.

Sadly, she couldn't decide. Groaning loudly she looked around the rest of the closet. There had to be something she could wear. She started picking through Sin's clothes, just out of simple curiosity. Ideas began to form in her head as she looked them over and like a light bulb everything clicked into place. Jez took one of his gray shirts and tried it on after removing her own clothes. It was so much longer on her than it ever would have been on him, but it actually worked out in her favor. Keeping her tights on and an undershirt under his jacket shirt, she found some belts and pouches to complete the look. Naturally they were already filled with the essentials one might need on their travels, but she threw out the binoculars to make room for her saber.

Leaving the room she held her arms out in pose to him so he could look her over. Part of her wondered if he'd even realize she was wearing his shirt, or if he'd say anything about it.

"How is this, Sir?"

The Echani cultist waited, and waited.......and waited. Getting more and more irritated the longer the human woman took. He expected her to take a little time but this was taking well over an hour. To change into what was supposed to be a disguise, not a night out in the Canto Bight casino. He was to walk back to the bedroom when Jez finally returned.

As he looked her up and down, he would of been impressed. Well in truth he was still. But the longer he looked, the more he noticed that the bits and pieces of gear were pieces of his own gear. Not vital to any one set on their own but impressive when slapped together in such a way. And, was that one of his shirts. Did she managed to turn his shirt into a short dress ?

"Interesting, You were my stole equipment well puppet." he mused with the tiniest hint of a smile.

He would waste no time then. With Jez returned to his side they would head to the turbolift. Exiting the apartment to head for the landing pad where his ship resting. But they were not going to use it. Instead, to Jez's perhaps confusion. A speeder would emerge from the crowd of others, coming to land next to the old scout ship. Once it landed both cultist would enter the vehicle. The ship would take off, just as quickly as it landed.

Rejoining the river of other craft moving around the city, the speeder moved toward the one of the plummeting wells that led to the lower levels of the city planet. When it came to one of these vast gaps in the upper level, it suddenly and without warning plunged downward. Making for level 1313. The level where the two force users met. Where just two weeks ago Jez's entire life would change.

What might've felt like an hour to him, was realistically more like twenty minutes. Men were so impatient. She waited for Sin's opinion as he looked her over, getting more and more nervous the longer he took. Did he not like it? Would it not serve their needs? Was it too distracting or obvious that she didn't belong in those clothes? What!?

Finally he answered with some amusement and she would of course notice that tiny smile he tried to hide. Her heart lit up from his praise. She did good! His approval was all she needed for her to raise her spirits again. "Thank you, Sir. I hadn't exactly planned on needing a wider range of outfits. With your permission...maybe we could do some more shopping on our way back?"

It was a stretch to think he'd buy her any more clothes than he already had, but at the same time he had to see the tactical side of things. If he wanted to take her along for other stealth missions, or really just about any mission, she'd need a larger assortment of outfits to pick and choose from. When they returned to Sith space, it might not be as necessary. But wouldn't it be better to be prepared?

After doing one final check with the protocol droid to make sure it wasn't burning their dinner, Jez exited the apartment in tow of her master. Down in the landing pad she headed for his ship but stopped as she walked ahead of Sin who'd abruptly stayed where he was. She was about to ask him what was the matter when a speeder came down to land beside the ship. Jez wanted to ask what he had in mind, then figured she wouldn't get an answer anyways. Silently she joined him in the shuttle. She kept to herself, keeping her legs tightly together and her hands clasped in her lap.

While she dealt with the annoying flapping of her hair in her face, Jez looked out from the speeder to the sights of Coruscant. This city was so lovely. She knew she'd chosen well when she came here. And she knew she'd miss it terribly when they left. A stinging feeling of worry came over her though as they traveled over to one of the wells that led deeper into the planet. Jez knew where they were going; the Force told her as much. Her hands gripped to the seat's handle right before they began to plummet and she closed her eyes with worry. She always hated that dropping feeling in her gut.

The roller coaster ride came to a sudden stop. Landing on the street near the alley not far from where the two cultist first met. Sin gave the alien pilot a simple nod and departed the speeder. Standing in the street a moment, waiting for Jez to follow. The local time was something around late evening. But down here it was difficult to tell. As the lower levels only knew neon lights. To his understanding, it was not unusual for locals who called this place home to never see the sun or fresh air.

These people were already sheep to be lead to the slaughter or to the yoke of slavery. If not for factions like the Free World Alliance and the foolish Jedi, this planet would be simple to retake, and bring under the rule of the eternal. Luckily for those living on this sprawling dump, those factions had a strong hold on the core. But he could look at his apprentice and see she had a different feeling about this place.

"Tell me puppet, what are you thinking ?" he asked her honestly. "You seem to see thing place as some kind of utopia. But if you reach out with the shadow of the force, you can feel the suffering, the fear, the despair. It's palpable." Unlike usual, he was not being antagonistic. Rather he seemed to genuinely wanted to know her feelings on the matter.

While he heard her opinion he also lead them alone the street. As usual when it public, he concealed his aura within the force. Casting the tiniest of shadows the the vast light of the life of the planet. His doing so should be a hint to Jez to do the same. Allowing them to blend in. But if she did not, he would be a little less subtle about it.

"Let the auras around you swallow your shadow."

The entire reason for their being here was to see how far Jez had come. If she could truly plunge into the depths of the dark side and bend it to her will. If done right the prize of this little test could prove to be very beneficial. However if done wrong she could very well expose them to further danger and revelation.

Once more the two Eternals had found their way to level 1313, the dark and dingy streets where their paths first brought them. Sin actually brought them almost to that exact spot. Just as quickly as they'd gotten into the speeder they were out of it again and the vehicle sped off into the night. Jez looked around and brushed her hair aside to find her bearings. A few streets away and she would have been at that photographer's studio. How small things seemed to be that her life had changed so drastically, in such a tiny way.

Her master then asked her what she was thinking. Jez turned her attention back to him curiously. He continued and said she viewed Coruscant as a utopia in his words. But to him, he knew that there was suffering here. Despair. Jez thought about it for a second as Sin started to head for the side walks and not out in the middle street as they were.

"But Master, you're not seeing it for what it is either. Look around. Who are these people? Thiefs, smugglers, bounty hunters, criminals. These are all people who came to escape their old lives. They sought freedom. And while....while it might not have worked out for them, no one is holding onto their leash. That's why I left. Why I came down here. I wanted a chance to be who I wanted to be. To explore myself. And Coruscant could do that for me. No war. No rituals. No commitments. Just me, expressing myself and making a name for myself. That's all I ever wanted."

Continuing into the lesser lit areas she felt her master's presence diminish. Almost as if he literally walked into the shadow and vanished. Jez slowed her walk for a second to make sure her eyes weren't playing tricks on her. She then heard his voice instructing her on how to do as he did. "Swallow my aura," she repeated in her mind.

Thinking back to the days of her training she remembered the way she was taught to meditate. She remembered what it was like to let the darkness surround her and become one with it. But, this was different now. This time, she closed herself off from its energy and instead let it hide her. She gave her own will power and presence into the Force and as he asked, she let the shadow take her. It felt strange being almost invisible. Jez could feel where she was, but had an inlaying instinct not to look at herself. It was the same with her master. She knew he was there, but her mind wanted her to avoid looking in that direction.

"I'm not sure what the point of this is," she admitted to her master. "I thought the point of embracing our nature was not to hide it. Like, we fear detection from others. Hiding in the shadows seems cowardly. When you found me, I had no shame of being a Dark sider. I embrace the darkness. I understand it's influence on the world. Sneaking around like this...it feels like we're back home. I don't like it.[/black]"

They continued to walk. Cloaked by the overwhelming life of the planet. Blending the two dark siders in with the rest of the scum common among the rest living on 1313. While they remained in that cloak of the living shadow of the force, they continued their walk. Sin continued to keep his senses open, reaching outward to see and hear the world around him. All the while their conversation continued.

"These people you speak of. The criminals, the thieves, the slavers. They are not here for freedom. There is not freedom in a duracreet jungle. No puppet, like us they seek the darkness. They hunger for the prey of the oppressed and downtrodden. Look around you, even without the force. The streets are filled with cattle to be culled from the herd. Sidious was aware of this as well."

He tone was not dismissive to her, rather a continuation of his own opinion and observation. As a knight and truth believer in the dark power of the shadowy side of the force. He could also feel Jez drowned her aura in the lives of those around them, as Sin had. It was not without effort but it was well done just the same.

"The point ?" he interrupted, before letting her continue. "The point is that we follow our true nature. That we continue the continue the natural cycle of the galaxy. There can not be light without darkness, life without death, or peace without chaos. To be clear, we do not fear detection. It is not fear to hide in the shadow and wait for your enemy to pass so you may strike where they are weakest.

The Eternal demands restraint, for now. While I do not agree, I will do as our leader demands for the moment. And so will you my puppet. So we will continue."

Arguing her point, Sin brought out his own opinion of the masses down on level 1313. Predators. Those she thought had searched for freedom were merely looking to claim it at another's expense. Each and every one of them would stab their friend in the back for a price. Such a cynical way of thinking; yet, Jez couldn't argue back. They all lived to serve their own agenda and nothing more. And those with no plan, were the cattle as he'd called them.

Jez thought about his words while they continued. He then went on to answer her other question by explaining their purpose. Their true nature. They were not fearing the law, they were hunting their prey. They were the black cats in a dark jungle; silent, stealthy, and deadly. The wild panther could not change its fur color any more than Jez could change her inner nature. They used the darkness to seek, hunt, and capture their food. This is what they were doing now. But it did beg the question, what were they hunting now?

Not wanting to disobey him, the raven haired Sith replied, "
Yes Sir. I understand." She knew she had to obey his will because it was that of the Eternals'. And while Jez herself didn't trust a man in a mask, her master did. This man, this entity, who came out of the dark and claimed to be all powerful. Jez had a hard time believing in deities of any sort. At least she knew what her master looked like under his mask. She knew who he was and where he came from. That made him human(oid), and therefore real. Still, she had more questions that needed answering. Hopefully he'd indulge her curiosity a bit longer.

"If we're trying to stay out of sight, then what are we doing down here? What exactly is our mission?"

Their little journey was taking them right where he had expected. Crossing only a couple of blocks of the city, Sin had managed to taken them close enough to his intended destination. A small antiquities shop that sat atop a street food vendor. A small stair case led up the the shop above. The entryway was wide enough for just a two or three people, and the large Gamorrean guard. Past the burly pig man would be the shop. A simple room with three and a half walls full of goods and a tiny sitting area at the center.

The Echani stopped in front of the steps and looked to his apprentice. "We've come to continue your training, and to finish my intended task when we met. This info broker has a holo data disc, containing a map of old ruins on Akiva. Something very useful to my future plans."

Sin would then turn to the stairs and walk up, expecting Jez to follow behind. As they topped the stairs the greenish brown skinned pig wait waited before the doorway, sealed by a blue shield screen for a door. The gamorrean stepped forward as Sin approached him. He stood a head taller then the normally towering echani and twice as wide to boot. Oh his hip was a heavy blaster pistol, and on his back. The large hooked vibro axe commonly carried by the brutes.

Snorting, the large humanoid spoke. "State your business oomans. The boss not want visitors."

Sin gave a sly smile and glanced over his shoulder toward his apprentice. Speaking to her through the force without so much as a spoke word. "Let the training begin puppet. Gain us access, without using your blade."

Before them lie her next trial. A small hole in the wall antique shop with a certain mysterious prize for her master. Jez eyed the place, but to be honest she was more focused on the smell of that food. She hadn't eaten and her stomach was protesting that choice. She knew whatever she would make would taste far better than this fried sludge, but it was still appealing to the senses nonetheless. Sin explained their mission and the goal they needed to achieve; Jez nodded in understanding. Though, she wasn't sure how this had anything to do with training.

Moving up the stairs they approached the sealed door and the Gamorrean spoke to Sin in Basic, a feat she didn't know they were capable of. Ugly things. Her master would turn and give her a look that even she could see through his helmet. His voice in her head guided her to what she already knew was to be. Jez approached closer and waved her hand toward the pig. Using the Dark side, she infultrated his weak mind and pushed a thought into his consciousness.

"The boss is expecting us. You will let us pass.

While Sin might've expected her to be untrained, she was still highly schooled in the ways of the Force. Where she lacked in commitment and spine, she made up for in knowledge and intellect. The Gammorrean would hear her command and reply back in its ugly snorting voice.

"Boss expecting. I will let pass."

With a press of a button the sealed shield would evaporate and the door would slide open. Jez gave a proud smirk to her master and then ushered him toward the door as if presenting it to him like a present. "After you, my master."

The Knight of Ren was not at all surprised by the application of the force to dominate the pea brained fool. Rather he simply wanted to see her apply her abilities. To be comfortable with her connection and use it to her full advantage when the time called for it. Something that up until this moment she seemed to be incapable of achieving. He could not feel her use of the force, but he could see the glass eyed look in the alien's face. His mind was Jez's to play with.

Jez would present him the door as it came open. However before he stepped inside, he reached out with the shadow of the force. Feeling for the electrical signals. He could feel the holo-recorders. Scanning like eyes on either side of the room. Inside the main room but surprisingly not in this area. Reaching out with the the shadow, rapping the sensors in pitch black. Disabling the devices before retreating once again.

Their cover now secure, Sin stepped inside. The room looked not unlike a personal library. Like that of a record keeper or historian of galaxy. Pieces of fine art and priceless artifacts lined the shelves. Even a light saber crystal. At the center of the room, sitting in a bantha leather over stuffed reading chair and taking a pull from a tall gold and silver decorated hookah. Was a Koorivar, dressed in fine soft clothing. Decorated with fine metals and jewels, just like his prized hookah.

"Wah...what's the meaning of this? Who are you, how did you.." the alien kept blurting. He moved as if he intended to stand up and somehow bolt out of the room. The Echani lifted his hand and motioned as if he was brushing away the air. The Koorivar would suddenly be shoved back down into his chair.

"Please, no need to get up. Cardu is it?" The cultist asked as a took a seat in the chair across from the man. "Cardu you have something I require, so I'm told. And you're going to give them to me, or my little puppet here" he said waving over Jez before continuing, "Is going to pull your horn off slowly."

Jez would take a step forward only to stop and set her foot back down. She figured her master would have started walking, only he didn't for some reason. She gave him a curious look as he used the Force to investigate ahead of them. She wondered what he could be searching for. She herself didn't feel any threats. Was he more aware of something than she was? Her answer was given for her as the lights inside the establishment shut off. More darkness. Of course.

Now her master would move and Jez quietly followed behind. Although she felt no hostility ahead of them, she did feel a life force. Keeping her mind set on their goal, Jez ignored the other objects in the room. She could feel her curiosity wanting to explore everything else in the room, but her training told her to keep her mind on there here and now. That didn't stop her from wanting to grab her saber though. Her fingers brushed against the cold metal to reassure her that the weapon was still in her possession.

Their presence did not go unnoticed as the owner of the shop tried to get up from his chair; her master saw to it he stayed comfortable. Sin then came over to sit next to Cardu and started their negotiations with him. When he waved her over, Jez began to lift her saber from her belt only to pout and clip it back on. She came up behind the man and leaned over his chair. She reached her arms around him intimately and brought her nails to his flesh.

"I'll make sure to savor the-" she paused for a second to lean in close to his ear and whisper, "....experience."

The alien trembled as Jez seemed to circle him. He had no clue who the pair were before him, but knew enough about the force wielding cults of old to know he was now in a bad spot. From the corner of his eye he looked upward. Hoping the perhaps his recorders were tracking. That perhaps his hidden security would be on their way. To his disbelief however, they were disabled. "when the kark did that happen" he thought.

"Wa...what can I help you with....I have man..many fineee...wares. Please...take whatever you like." he stammered.

"I require any plans and maps you have for the Outer Rim world of Akiva." Sin relied with cold evenness.

"Is...Is that it." Cardu said more then a little surprised. "The safe...Behind your friend." he wanted to look up or around but quickly thought better of it. "Move the statue on the middle shelf, there's a switch. It leads to another room, and my safe."

It was in that very moment that Sin looked up at Jez and smile. His expression giving her all the orders she needed to check to see if the broker were telling the truth. When she did do, the moment would be interrupted. As the table between the two sitting men would suddenly project the blue-green image of a uniform dressed female, a banner below stating Special News Report.

Sin looked down, watching the entire thing. Then a second time as it repeated. Waiting for Jez to hopefully discover what he desired. Meanwhile the shadow would send a chill up his spine. A sense of danger was approaching. The Echani stood, looking back over his shoulder sensing the trouble soon to approach and then back over to Cardu. Giving the alien a smile, before reaching down to his belt to un-clip his lightsaber hit. Activating it with a snap hiss to extend the blood red beam.

As Cardu and Sin spoke, Jez would continue to flirt and stare at the Koorivar seductively. Almost as if she was teasing him and begging him to make a wrong move. The man gave up his safe and Sin looked to Jez expectingly. He'd not need explain his reasoning; they both knew she'd check out the safe. She made a kissy face at Cardu and smooched her lips as if blowing him a kiss then stood and went to the statue on the middle shelf. But as she started over the holonet broadcast began to play. That was enough to give pause to her.

The news speaker told her tale about how a Jedi had been arrested. While the premise of that was exciting to her, they also mentioned red lightsaber wielders. And more specifically, down in the lower Coruscant floors. Where they were. A chill fell over the room and Jez herself found she was unable to take a breath. Her master was...feeling fear? There was uncertainty in him, doubt, worry. And that was a hundred times worse in Jez seeing it from him.

With no warning then Sin stood and grabbed his saber. Jez turned and tried to stop him by saying, "Master wait!" But it was too late. Just like that the Koorivar was dead. Alarms were ringing in Jez's mind. Those rangers who were hunting saber users would surely find this body. And it could lead back to them. That was a reckless move.

With a scowl, Jez moved to the shelf now and pulled the switch behind the statue. A door would open and she'd walk in to find his safe. Her mind was distracted on the holonet broadcast so if there were any traps....she'd walk right into them.
