DESCRIPTION
Named so purely due to its shape, the Coeus-Class Utility Barge is a colossal, mobile, space station that can be found operating in all areas of the Galaxy. Designed and manufactured to serve ships of (almost) all shapes and sizes, the Coeus was designed to provide the three Rs that all ships need;

Repairs, Refuelling and Resupply.

As the 'hanger' of the Coeus is so incredibly large, the space contains no atmosphere at all as it proved to be inefficient in terms of power consumption during its initial development. This is used as something of a security feature against boarding attempts by ships landed within the hanger as any attempts to enter the interior of the Coeus requires access via secure docking tubes or movement through the void.

When ships are parked within the Coeus, they are connected via a series of refuelling and resupply probes; how much fuel, oxygen, water or other gasses are supplied to each ship depends on how much is agreed to be paid by the crew. Once payment is received, the refuelling and resupply begins.

Refuelling and resupply can be done in as little as an hour for even Destroyer-Class sized ships. Smaller ships can spend as little as five minutes, including landing and take-off, to fully refuel and resupply.

Repairs are conducted entirely by the droid workforce that typically comes with the Coeus as standard. A literal legion of astromechs and other utility and repair droids navigate the exterior of landed ships to diagnose technical issues first, then allow the owners and qualified technicians within the Coeus to provide a quote for the work. Once payment is received, repair work begins - timescales dependant on the extent of the damage and size of the ship.

Eventually, the Coeus can take a crippled Destroyer-Class ship and have it returned to full functionality - while it may take a comparable length of time as a typical shipyard to make the repairs, it will be significantly more expensive. The most common practise is the Coeus being used to repair a ship well enough for it to be able to safely reach a dedicated shipyard to affect more cost-effective ship repairs.

For length repair jobs or just for when pilots and crew wish to get out of their own ship to stretch their legs, docking tubes can connect ships to the interior of the Coeus proper and give access to a recreational area. Said recreational area is typically a rather depressingly stale waiting room with news holos playing constantly in different languages on dozens of screens, uninterrupted space views and entire rows of vending machines that, typically, never have what you want in stock.

LEGALITY
Legal. Coeus-Class Utility Barges are perfectly legal to own with the right permits.

INTENT
To flesh out the service industry for the site canon and for use as backdrop by players on personal levels, faction levels and everything in between.

RESTRICTIONS
Typically a faction asset or NPC-run business, although they could also serve as the focal point of a player run business venture. Keep in mind that they are incredibly expensive to purchase, staff and run - but also lucrative.
