Guys, this is not the place for debates about the Sith and what-not. Take it somewhere else please.

Another idea for a mission. A small fringe group of Mandalorians has taken refuge on Nar Shaddaa, and have announced their intention to detonate a bomb in a civilian sector and blame it on the Mandalorians and Sith, attempting to escalate the war. To preserve the Mandalorian people, a small strike team has been dispatched to neutralize the group, and if at all possible recover the explosives.

This sounds rather awesome.

Thanks. Sisk is pretty eager to prove his worth to his new people, and I'm hoping that for one of my ideas I can get the team lead spot. I've got a ton of them, because I've been a pen and paper rp-er in Star Wars for almost 9 years, 5 of those as a dungeon master. I can adopt any of the scenarios I've written for the game for this site. It'll be a whole new adventure for my guy.

I'm surprised no one has formed a Death Watch yet, from either side.

What about a strike at a vessel in dry dock at a Republic Shipyard, finished but with a skeleton crew. A surgical strike team could use faked transponder codes to get in, then move quickly to hit the bridge. From there, they can slice into the computer system, take control, and bug out on the closest outbound vector. Minimal casualties on both sides, and we end up with a brand new warship.

He's already been a secretive member of Death Watch the whole time. Note the secret part.

As Corden stared earlier: Any action against the GA will be seen as an act of war. Which is not up to us.

As Kiro said this will have to wait for a while until war is officially declared on the GA. Also could you post your mission ideas on the Missions thread since things here went loco:P

That's why you go in quiet. No armor, no identifying marks, nothing recognizable as Mando. Use a transponder code that's easily traceable to a pirate or mercenary group. Set someone else up to take the fall. No one has to know who did it. That's the beauty of a mission like this. With a few credits laid down to the right people you can make a trail disappear easily.

Mandalorians aren't terrorists. Mandalorians are warriors. As a people, they fight only those they deem to be strong. To be the enemy of the Mandalorians is a compliment, though perhaps not one you'd appreciate.

And as A'den says: It lacks honour. It's the act of a coward. And coward is the most insulting word in Mando'a. A warrior doesn't need to conceal his or her actions. They stand up proud, and proclaim to everyone that "Yes, it was I whom did this. Beware, or I will do this unto you as well." Terrorism is the tool of a coward.

Mandalorians aren't terrorists.

Terrorism is by its very definition an act to strike fear into another's heart to achieve a goal. This is not terrorism. Mandalorians fight smart. The perfect amount of pressure, applied in the right spot, can cripple a man. If you use superior tactics to win a fight, it is not cowardice, but the act of a better warrior. In ancient China, a single man turned aside an army of 50,000 because of his reputation for cunning. Considered one of the ultimate warriors of all time, his use of misdirection and strategy did not make him any less honorable.

This plan does not lack honor, it is a strategic strike to build our own strength. Liberation of an enemy asset is not cowardice, it's sound strategy. If you have the opportunity to remove a barrier to victory, you take it. No one even has to die. Quick, simple, no loss of life. Not going in with guns blazing doesn't make a warrior a coward. There is no shame to avoid a battle you can't win. A lesson the Mandalorians should have learned long ago.

All this is is a variation of Ba'slan shev'la. Mandalorians don't consider it cowardice to disappear and set an ambush to wipe out the enemy. Attacking from a superior position is what war is about. Those who go in guns blazing are quickly killed, and those who are killed are no use to anybody. This is an ambush, guerrilla warfare. Plain and simple. Striking from the shadows, weakening an enemy before the main fight. The greatest honor a Mando can gain is the preservation of Clan. What I propose allows us to build strength so that the greatest number of Vode can survive.

And don't call me hut'uun again. To insult ones brother is a grievous insult. Try to look at something from a broader viewpoint before throwing out insults.

We do not do that we are not in battle. This is an undeclared act of Terrorism. It does not befit us or our culture. This can be a good simulation but not as a mission. Like to practice Ambushes or something of the sort.

I really like the idea about a Death Watch element attempting to detonate a bomb on Nar Shaddaa and a Mandalorian strike team being sent in to eliminate the threat, defuse the bomb, and recover the explosives.
