It had taken a while to uncover but he found out where she lived. With the broadcast, the Knights of Ren had stirred the hornet's nest as Rangers and Jedi alike tried to regroup from it. That let things slip through the cracks and he had been there to pick up those pieces. It led him to her apartment and he remained crouch on the roof of the building opposite from it. Ender slipped out the mask from underneath his robes and stared at it for a moment. This is what he had become and there was no room for regret to attach along to for the journey. He slipped on the mask as it fitted his head perfectly and disguised his features as he backed away from the ledge.

Ender entered the apartment from the small porch and moved with a certain grace as his footsteps didn't make a sound. The home was empty of anyone as the only sound was the ticking of a clock on the wall. The only light came from the moon that hung above outside but lit it well enough. When his gaze turned toward the first door, he opened it to find a room that was clearly for a younger person. Trophies and other little items that showed off her child's personality but half of it was packed away as it looked like someone left in a hurry. One of the awards had his name on it, Crix. He ran his thumb over the name before picking up the medal and eventually tucking it underneath his robes.

When he was about to leave the room, he passed a nightstand with multiple picture frames on it by the bed. He didn't know why but it made him stop in his tracks to look at them. He picked one of the picture frames and saw Trys and Crix hugging each other tightly and smiling happily in it. New feelings exploded through him that he never felt before. It was as if tears wanted to form but nothing inside him was going to ignite it naturally. Jealously ripped through him powerful enough that it made him breathe heavily, the hand that held the picture starting to shake. He never got to meet his own mother and get to live inside the home of a loving family. Instead, he had been experimented on as a child and had pieces of him taken that he could never get back. The glass shattered unexpectantly and it brought him back to senses as he looked back down at the frame. He didn't know what had came over him but he gently placed the picture back down.

The other room didn't have anything of worth and he went into the living room instead. Ender sat down in one of the chairs and extended his arms out along the armrests as he faced toward the door and waited for her to arrive. He had nothing but time on his hands. His eyes drifted to a painting that was hung on the wall, it vibrant from the rest that littered the walls. It was of a woman and man dancing, the colors blending together but clashing together at the same time. It was a mesmerizing painting and even he appreciated the craftsmanship. The painting couldn't be admired for long though as the sound of footsteps echoed outside of the door before the doorknob began to jingle. He prepared for any reaction that was about to come and the force subtly built around himself as a defense. When the door opened and Trys stepped through, she would find Ender sitting down patiently like he lived there himself.
"Home at last."

Her son was away on Naboo, and that gave her a huge sense of relief. She had turned down a security detail, and she still felt sick to her stomach. The footage had played all over, and it was censored, but the live version replayed in her mind over and over again. Trys felt responsible for it all, and she was furious at herself. She hated that sick bastard responsible for it, and she hated that he almost succeeded in making her back down.

Trys had planned to finally move out of her apartment. She was mentally kicking herself for not heeding Talak’s original warning. A lot of her things were moved already, but she still had a few smaller personal items to move. Trys wanted nothing more than to go home and sit in the bath for a few hours and unplug from the world.

She had picked up a case of beer and made her way back, turning the key and entering. Trys spotted someone there almost at once, and at first she wondered if it was her son - but she didn’t see the horns. She heard the voice and made her blood run cold. Trys said nothing as she remained in the doorway for a moment. Seconds ticked by before she finally stepped in and shut the door behind her.

Trys walked around and could make out that it was the same man from the video. The man responsible for the deaths of her brethren. Trys felt weak, sick, angry, and everything in between. She wanted nothing more than to lash out at him and tear him apart. She wanted to beat him to a pulp and do so much more. However, Trys inhaled and exhaled slowly, standing across him with the beer still in her hand.

“What do you have to gain from this?”

Trys stood there and stared at him and he returned the courtesy by holding his gaze on hers. He assumed she was either about to shut the door or shoot him but instead she closed it behind her. He remained in his seat as he could sense the emotions that curled in her stomach at the sight of him. Disgust, anger, sadness, it was all there and he didn't hold it against her, he would have felt the same if he could but this was war as he stated in the broadcast. Casualties were going to rise from both sides.

After she asked her question, he held his gaze on her for a moment and went silent as he appeared to really think about the answer. "To be honest, I don't quite know but I have nothing else to lose." It was true and she would be able to hear it in his voice even with the helmet on. He didn't sound afraid of death or consequences that came because of his actions. Not because he thought he could outlast because he was that powerful but more as he was welcoming it, ready to accept the reprieve from himself. He was just living and waiting for his moment. The rage still flowed her, if subdued, and Ender lifted a finger to cause a chair from the nearby table to gently slide and stop until it was right behind Trys. "Please, have a seat."

If she chose not to, the chair would slam into the back of her legs while it would feel like someone shoved her from the front to force her to sit down even though Ender remained seated. "I assume you've received my message then. Unfortunately, it had to be quite graphic but that was only so I knew it would reach you." When he stood up from the seat, Trys would be able to see a small shaft a light hit his mask and reflect the golden eyes underneath before disappearing as he reached his full height. He walked around his chair before stopping behind it as he placed his hands along the spine and looked back at her, "I've been told to retrieve you."

Trys watched with a grimace as he slid the chair over. Displays of the Force always made her uneasy, and it was no different now. She didn’t sit down when he suggested for her to, but she abruptly felt the chair budge against her legs and force her to drop. Trys gritted her teeth, but she knew that lashing out would accomplish nothing. She exhaled slowly, setting the case of beer down by her side.

She didn’t want to hear anything he had to say, and her gaze was fixed ahead. She didn’t need to have his powers to feel the uneasy aura he had on him. Something about being in his presence made her feel sick. How could he be cut from the same cloth as Talak? Trys kept her cool resolve externally, finally glancing up at him when he ended with his last sentence.

“You could’ve sent me a postcard,” She muttered without humor, “That would’ve been one way to reach me,” Trys gave a hollow laugh, shaking her head. She thought about his words about retrieving her, and she couldn’t help but quirk an eyebrow, “You always do as you’re told? Going to bring me back to your overlord like a good little boy and get your little pat on the head? All because he's the big daddy and knows what's good for the galaxy?" She knew she was playing with fire, but she had already stepped into it now. There was no going back.

Talak had warned her that this would happen, and now she was facing the music. Trys wasn’t one to let fear govern her, and the man here would realize that soon enough. There were many emotions churning through her but crippling fear was not one of them.

"I don't think it would have had the same effect." He smirked underneath his helmet. Even outside her apartment, the billboards and TVs that were on display in shops or other places still replyed the news over and over, using a fuzzy image of his masked and hooded face with his gold eyes being the only defining feature. When she tried to get dig under his skin with petty insults, he chuckled loud enough for her to hear. "Spare your insults. The last time you poked at us I turned one of your stations into a cemetery. Let's not have you make that mistake again." He could throw back his own poison as well.

"Personally, I would have rather killed you quickly and made this painless for both of us. But I assume they have things planned for you to draw it out as long as possible." Ender walked back around the chair before taking a seat once more as he placed his arms on the armrests again and leaned back. There was a pause as he flipped over his thoughts before finally speaking, "I don't think anyone should have to experience that type of pain." Unfortunately, he did and the scar that started from the bottom of the spine and ended at the top of it was proof of that. There were just some things that took to much from a person and left it more broke then fixed.

Ender leaned forward slowly and reached into his robe as he dug around in it. He pulled out the sports medallion of Crix, the gold catching in the light as she would be able to see his name engraved into it. "What is he like?" There was genuine curiosity in his voice and it possibly surprised Trys but he couldn't help it. His thoughts had returned to the picture he almost accidentally destroyed, seeing the young child smiling with his younger mother. Even how angry she was at him, he still wondered about the picture and the room he saw.

Trys narrowed her eyes, “If you’d rather kill me quickly, then do it. At least then you do something by your own volition,” There was pity in her voice. For all the power he held, he was still imprisoned and a slave. She kept her gaze where the slits of his mask were, and she could barely make out the gold there. Talak’s eyes sometimes looked like that, but only when he truly tapped into whatever sickness he was born with.

When he held out the medallion, Trys’s heart skipped a bit. There was just the slightest twitch in her face and a crack in her resolve. Her fingers curled and dug into her thighs. She had to exhale slowly to keep her calm. He was crossing into dangerous territory, but she still had to keep from letting him get under her skin. Trys met his gaze for a very long time, carefully choosing her answer.

“He is loved,” She said after a long moment and in a soft voice. Her gaze moved to linger on the medallion, “And he knows I would go to the ends of the galaxy for him. And I know you know that,” Everyone knew about a mother’s love for their child, but did he know what it felt like? Was it a fairytale concept to him?

“I hope this path you’re on…” Trys said after a moment, “I hope it’s one you chose and not one that was chosen for you,” She knew that hadn’t been the case for Talak. Were others similar to him? Or did they simply wake up one day and decide they wanted to cause chaos and destruction across the galaxy?

"We're all controlled by strings." He simply responded to her telling him to kill her. While he did have his own Overlord, everyone was controlled by something in their own way. When the medallion was brought out and her face twitched slightly from the sight as Crix's name was shown, it seemed he had managed to find those strings and tug them. She didn't answer for a while and Ender simply stared back at her with the medallion still held up, sitting there patiently as he didn't rush her.

When she finally answered, he could hear it in her voice, the concern and care for her child that he had never heard from his own. Her words were filled with raw emotion and it was unique to actually hear. "I know of it." Ender flipped the medallion around so he could look at instead and held it in his open palm. He placed it down on the table before pulling out the picture of Trys and Crix hugging each other and smiling. "I do not know it." There was a difference and he wondered how it felt to be that connected to someone where they would even give their life away without thinking but just because their own blood was in harm. He placed the picture down beside the medallion.

Ender chuckled again at her comment but this time there was humor within it, not because she was wrong but the fact that she felt he had the capacity to choose. "This path is not someone would choose on their own." His gaze was on the assortment of items on the table in front of them but he brought his eyes back to her when he spoke again, "But I lost my sense of morality and choice too long ago now for it to return." He certainly wasn't born into what he was but he has transformed into something ugly right after. "Our paths will collide soon enough again but as of now Trys Aran, it seems you have caught me at a fortunate time." He should have been halfway to the Eternal by now with either her unconscious or bound together but he still remained there in his seat. The fact she had a son was new to him before he came here and surprisingly for himself, he wasn't prepared to see what he had missed for his whole life.

Trys said nothing as he spoke. She wasn’t going to feel sorry for him - he was a grown man and making his own choices. Did he get dealt a shitty hand? Absolutely, but so had she. She could have walked a path of spice and crime like her origins, but instead she chose to pull herself out of it. None of this showed externally, her face always blank and her mind always ticking.

His decision to not bring her in surprised her, but she said nothing on it. Trys had questions for him, but she felt that pang of disgust for what he had done to her brethren. She would say nothing, watching him get up and leave. He had arrived as a shadow, and he would leave as one.

Or so the bastard thought.

Trys had already dialed in for back up, and she had other Rangers ready for a drill like this. As soon as the man left the building, he would find himself surrounded and would need to find alternative routes to leave.

Trys didn’t waste any time, ducking into her room and pulling out her lethal blaster and slipping on her armor. She also grabbed her vibrosword, bolting out of her apartment. If the man thought he could simply waltz in and out without consequences, he didn’t know who she was.

Maybe he would regret it in the future but at that moment, he felt no pull to capture her and drag this out. Instead, he just wanted to leave and meditate by himself for a while to contemplate. Her words gave him a lot to think about but not in the way he or she thought it would be intended. Trys had said so confidently that she loved Crix and that he knew that but he didn't and it didn't make him angry but it made him feel something he had never felt before. When he went onto her porch, he simply dropped from the height and landed in a nearby alley and started to walk.

He was still walking through the alley until two police cars pulled into one end, both of them flicking on their lights as they zoomed forward and set up a barricade with their cars in front of him. Ender let out a quiet and inhuman sort of growl, realizing the mistake he had made. Giving a half step to his left, he turned his body to find two more police cars behind them in the same fashion, the doors opened with Rangers using them as cover as the alleyway flooded with red and blue light. "We got him." One of them shouted into the radio before aiming their blasters, "Hands up!" The Sith turned back to face the Rangers in front of him and listened, slowly raising his hands in the air.

They took one step closer to apprehend him but that's when Ender made his move. His opened hands snapped closed and the force wrapped around a pair of dumpsters in the ally, pulling them toward the Sith as sparks flew and rested on either side of them. He ducked at the same time and the Rangers fired their weapons but they were unable to penetrate through the metal of the dumpsters. Ender turned his head and found a nearby door and he dashed toward it, his foot going through first as it was kicked open. There was a woman on the side with trash bags in her hand and she got knocked down from the unexpected door as she fell into some pots and pans. The rest of the kitchen staff turned around, some of them screaming and others running away but he ignored them.

"He's in the noodle shop!" Ender cut through the kitchen quickly, slamming his hand against another door that opened into the actual restaurant section of the building. The patrons inside enjoying their meals got up at the sudden masked figure that entered and screamed. One of the Rangers from the alley managed to enter the shop from the front and his head snapped toward the officer. With the force, he launched the man through the front window of the shop as the glass shattered and knocked down the rest of the Rangers that were about to enter.

Ender's head snapped to the right and found another door beside the entrance and sprinted toward it. When he burst out the other side, he was in a different ally but instead of heading down it he looked up at the fire escape. He leaped up onto the railing and heaved himself over and dived through a window as he entered into another building. Trys would be able to hear the radio explode on her vest, "He's on the second floor in the apartment building next over." Another Ranger responded through the radio, "What do you mean? You just said the noodle shop." The original voice came back but in a heavy tone as he was clearly running, "He's climbing shit like you haven't seen before!"

Trys burst out of the apartment building, hearing all the comms as she pursued. She wasn’t surprised to hear the rapid update from one place to another - she had been around Talak enough to know exactly how these people moved. Trys didn’t bother going to where the Rangers located him, instead trying to anticipate where he would go next.

When they said noodle shop, she pivoted directions and began running through the alleys towards the other adjacent buildings. She could hear yelling and crashing coming through, and it made her wince from thinking about more lives potentially lost. When they said second floor of the apartment building, Trys doubled around that, circling towards the opposite side of the entryway.

“Cover the donut shop,” Trys commed in. She heard immediate protests on how the shop had nothing to do with the apartment building, “Just kriffing do it!” She kept her gaze ahead, ducking behind a wall as she watched a window from the opposite side of the apartment building. Trys was watching to see if he would burst out of the window there.

Regardless of if he used the window or roof, she leveled and fired a shot towards him, hoping to catch him mid jump. Trys knew it wouldn’t be enough to drop him, and she quickly ran towards the donut shop which was the last building cover on the street before he would be forced to change directions again.

“Call some kriffing air support!” Trys shouted into the comms as she ran, jumping over parked speeders and almost getting hit by a few that were driving. Horns blared behind her and she paid it no heed, her gaze trained forward as she kept chasing him.

Ender moved through the halls at a brisk pace, some of the residents opening their doors lightly to see him before shutting it quickly when they realized what was about to happen. He was about to cross the stairs when a Ranger stepped from them and into the hallway. When the officer turned to find him, he was already moving as his hand lashed out and struck the man in the nose. Before he could try to counter, another punch was thrown into his stomach before he lifted up and thrown over the railing. The Ranger's body hit multiple things on the way down, bones breaking every time until he reached the bottom.

Ender took a step down but that's when a door from below in the lower levels could be swinging open. He peered over the side to see a team of Rangers run up the stairs, at least six until one of them stopped to check on the dead one. "Move! Move!" Ender didn't say anything but he punched the nearby wall in frustration, a chunk of it coming out as he quickly turned and headed down the hall again. There was another window at the end of the hall and he sprinted towards it before leaping through it. There was another building there he intended to land on but instead, a bolt went through the air and hit him in the side as he lost balance and crashed into an air duct unit. It dented with his body before he rolled off and onto the ground. He shook his head before slamming a fist into the asphalt, the pain giving him a jumpstart to his system but it stung.

Ender stood up and spotted Trys, his golden eyes bright enough that even she would be able to see. He stepped towards her but that's when the sound of a speeder soared above, a massive spotlight shining down on him and bathing in white light. "This is Air - 1, we have him in our sights. Over." Ender gave one more look to Trys before doing as she predicted and changed directions. He continued to use the roofs, leaping from ones adjacent to each other and near the same level. The speeder above followed behind him, the spotlight on him constantly. He was heading for the spaceport but as he was about to leap from another building, he stopped right at the edge and stood there.

The air support almost past him but it flipped around in time so it wouldn't get lost. Ender stared ahead but he turned his gaze to the right and saw a construction site, it standing well above other buildings as it was meant to be the beginnings of a skyscraper or something of the sort. Without warning, he turned and sprinted towards it at full speed, the air support still on his tail. "He's changed course again. He's heading straight for the construction site. Over." One of the Rangers in the craft tried to peek out with a blaster and fire on him but he was too fast.

When he finally reached the construction site, he jumped from his building as he cleared the distance and landed somewhat roughly because of the shot he took to his side. Ender turned around to face the spotlight and he stared up at the aircraft before taking a couple of steps backward and disappearing under all the concrete and metal. The air support whipped the spotlight around different angles before lowering itself to the level that the Sith had disappeared in. There were open walls so it could shine the light through but they couldn't spot anything. The aircraft went back into the air afterward, hovering over the construction site as it reported in, "He's disappeared in the site. We can't see him from our view but if he leaves, he won't slip our view. Over."

Trys saw her shot hit its mark as the man plummeted to the ground. Unsurprisingly, he was back on his feet within moments. He turned to look at her and it made her stop dead in her tracks. The golden eyes, that piercing look, it chilled her to her bones. Trys felt rooted in place, and she felt as if her insides were being contorted and twisted.

She didn’t shake out of it till she heard a speeder blast its horn and the driver cursing at her. Trys growled in frustration and bolted towards the red saber again, though he was already on the move again. She could anticipate the direction he was going, but he was far ahead of her. Trys began to feel exhaustion kicking in - she didn’t have anywhere near the stamina or agility a Force user did.

Trys was thankful for the air support, though it didn’t sound like anyone could get a clear shot at him. She could see the construction site ahead and the air support commed in that they had lost visual. Trys cursed out loud, “Okay, I’ll pursue on foot. I need Rangers to surround the perimeters and prepare to enter the lower levels of the site!” She radioed the group as she charged ahead.

It took her longer as she had to go down several levels into a zone that was blocked off to public. Trys had to climb up a chain link fence and drop down on the other side. The site was dark and she had to rely on switching on her comlink flashlight to see.

“Kriff,” She muttered under her breath, beginning to think about how much more difficult this had just gotten. Trys couldn’t see anything immediately, but she had her gun drawn. She slowly began to proceed through the lower levels of the site, lowering the volume on her radio and switching to earpiece so she couldn’t be heard.

Outrunning the air support didn't work so instead it was removed from the equation altogether. It could only remain outside and Trys would still hear the engines rumbling as the spotlight would shift every once in a while in attempt to spot something. This was Ender's playground and he would use it to his full effect.

Trys walked forward, the only light coming from either the spotlight or the windows of nearby buildings but it was barely enough to constitute being able to see anything. There would be metal pipes embedded in the ground and stone pillars beside them, the sound of wind gushing through the open walls of the barely finished building. The entire building was lifeless.

When she moved forward, he finally saw her and he stopped breathing as his eyes slowly followed her. He crawled inch by inch and didn't even make a sound. The spotlight would sweep through Trys position and it would reveal Ender crawling on the ceiling above her before he was plunged into darkness again. There was an indent in the ceiling and he used to keep himself suspended. When he finally reached her, he pulled out his lightsaber slowly as his thumb slid to the button to activate it.

But then Trys earpiece buzzed as the teams she requested entered the building. "Ranger Team one and two entering premises." They whispered in hushed tones as well but Ender didn't have to hear them, he could sense them and they were heading straight for her. "Team two taking upper level." Each had four men and wore armor suited for the mission. They had seen the damage done at Corellia and the bodies there. If she looked up, she wouldn't anything there but concrete. Team one came to the floor Trys was on, the leader the first in the room as he offered a silent hand signal to ask if she was okay.

Team two's voice came into their radios again, "The second floor is -" All of sudden, shots would ring out and echo throughout the building before the screams would follow. Team one's leader immediately turned around as the rest did and went back to the stairs, "Team two! We're coming your way." As they would run up the stairs, Team two continued to speak into the radio and giving them a window to what was happening, "Contact! Contact!" There would be another volley of fire, "He's too fast!" Another round of fire and screams, "Over ther-" The third voice would cut off midway through this time as their radios went dead.

When they arrived to the second floor, they would find a body lying there, a hole where the man's heart was supposed to be until they would see it was actually laying a few feet away from him. Team one would take lead unless Trys offered to first and he stepped past the body and entered the room and finding the rest of Team two dead. Some were dismembered, others simply killed but there remained one alive as he rushed over to them covered in blood, "It's me!" Team one lead quickly put down his weapon but before he could ask, the Ranger pointed his rifle at a set of stairs that led down to the basement, a small trail of blood descending down the stairs as well. "He went that way."

Trys walked through the darkness, putting her comlink away to steady her gun. She had the occasional light from the air support beaming in and passing by. Trys felt a sense of unease as she walked deeper in, always feeling as if she were being watched. She thought she heard something above her and was about to look when her radio buzzed in. Trys sighed in relief, glancing up after she acknowledged. There was nothing there, though through the light passing she could see the lightest haze of dust swirling from it.

She saw Team One move in, and she silently gestured that she was okay, and they began to advance in together. Trys heard all the commotion about the second floor and she broke into a run, moving with Team One. Her heart pounded against her chest as she heard all the chaos coming in through the radio. She could barely see, but thankfully the other men were prepared and had head lamps that guided the way.

They all broke into the second floor and Trys skidded to a halt as she saw the gruesome display. The man had been mutilated, and Trys had to keep from any emotions displaying. She gingerly stepped over the body, whirling around to shoot until the man declared he was a survivor, “Get back to the station,” Trys commanded him. He had seen his entire squad murdered, and he didn’t need to be here.

Trys took the lead towards the path that led down the stairs but the Team one’s leader stopped her, “Wait, you should gear up,” She couldn’t find any reasons to protest. She nodded as they fit her with a helmet and better gear, along with some extra melee weapons.

“Follow my lead,” She said as she began to descend down the stairs. Trys used the HUD of her helmet to switch to night vision and look around for movement. As Team Two had been accounted for by the body count and survivor, it meant the blood likely belonged to the Force user. Trys hoped he would be moving slower.

For a long moment, there was nothing but the sounds of their soft advance. They used hand signals to mark areas that were clear, and they spread out to cover more ground. The basement layer was nothing but wide columns and the perp could be hiding behind any of them.

Trys pressed against one of the columns, scanning the area around her before she darted to the opposite column for cover. She worried about the men and them being spread out. Trys had a sick feeling the Force user was toying with her and would execute them one by one.

Ender held his side, breathing slightly heavy but quietly. Taking out the Ranger Team, it tore open his wound and it bled freshly into his clothes. Sweat beaded down his forehead as he closed his eyes and honed his mind. While it hurt, it fed him what he needed in order to get out of this alive and that's when he heard Ranger Team One finally come down the stairs and into the basement where he currently was. He peered around the pillar he was behind, his eyes locking onto Trys until the light would shine over where he should have been but nothing was there.

The team stayed compact as they first entered but as Trys feared, the further they went, the more they had to split apart to cover their ground and he just bid his time. They didn't completely abandon each other but they made it easier. As she went off, the team lead followed her two others formed in a group and took the other direction. The third one remained in between the two teams, as support in case either one of them was engaged but trailed closer to the Trys and the other. When he found his moment, he would strike. As she led the group and the others were behind her, they still continued not to look up and he used that to his advantage.

When they passed a certain pillar, a pair of golden eyes would open above them in the darkness as they didn't see him holding on. They would slowly levitate down without a sound before hovering in the air behind the group and following them. The one Ranger turned around as if he felt something right behind but there was nothing again as his NV didn't pick anything up. When he turned back around however, he was lifted up from the ground and flung into a nearby pillar, a loud grunt escaping from him once he collided with it. The Ranger lead with Trys turned around instantly to see Ender standing there, his eyes reflecting in his night vision.

Before they could fire, however, he would activate his lightsaber and with such short distance between them, the sudden light would practically be a flare for them. He sent a blast of force energy into Trys and if she was blinded from the sudden light, it would have her collide into another pillar as well with enough force to daze her. That left the team lead still standing and the Sith descended on him, his saber lashing out quickly and cutting the Ranger's blaster in half before following it up with a stab right through his heart. He kicked the body over but before he could retreat into the darkness, the Ranger that was first knocked down had managed to get up and simply tackled the Sith while holding on for dear life.

The wound was slowing down and the two of them went through a pillar made of plaster. They would get up as the Ranger drew out his sword and both of them engaged in combat. The other group's voice would pierce through the radio, "We hear the commotion! We're on our way!"

Trys brought out her comms and rapidly dialed for SWAT level support. With the full backing of Coruscant Security Force, the Rangers had significantly more resources. She knew with Team Two out of the picture, she would need all the help she could get. Trys felt terror at the pit of her stomach as she continued to make her way through the dark basement, trying to look in between the columns.

She heard some noise and whipped around, spotting the man the same time Team One’s leader did. Trys leveled her gun but felt herself sailing through the air. She fired off a shot regardless, not following where the bolt went. Trys painfully thudded against a column, feeling pain rattle through her body.

With a groan, she scrambled to get up, seeing the Team One captain lying dead on the ground. Within moments, another Ranger had tackled the Force user. He was a young and Trys would do her best to ensure he didn’t die. She charged in towards the two, aiming and firing a bolt at the Force user’s side while he would be distracted with the man he was engaging. Trys followed this up by hurling a throwing knife directly at his leg to continue barraging him with distractions. She knew it would take several of them to take him down.

By then, a group of about fifteen elite forces had entered the compound and were beginning to pour in from all sides. They were heavily armed and had guns ready to pepper the Force user. Trys would keep pressing and buying time for the support group to arrive, and she could already begin to hear rapid footsteps descending.

The two went through the plaster easily, dust and particles exploding into the air before Ender pushed the Ranger off of him. He instantly got onto his feet, his lightsaber activating once more as he lunged at the young man. He wasn't experienced but he could handle himself and their two weapons met in the air with sparks flying off from the contact. As they fought, he kicked the Ranger in the stomach to get some space between them when he sensed that Trys fired a bolt at him. Flicking his thumb, the second blade of his lightsaber erupted out from the initiator and went across his back, deflecting the bolt into a nearby pillar.

But before he could account for the knife, the young Ranger was relentless and charged again to take his attention. The knife sought its mark and made it as it sunk directly into his calf and make him let out a yell of pain. The young Ranger was about to do an overhead slash but Ender stepped to the side with his good foot enough to dodge it before swiping his saber across the young man's ribs. It wouldn't kill him but it would take him out the fight and leave him severely burned as the Legionnaire had to turn around to face Trys quick.

His reflective eyes would catch Trys' normal ones and he would suddenly fling his saber directly at her, the blades rotating like a helicopter as multiple pillars would be cut in half and directly headed for her. Ender's speed was his greatest ally but that had been severed at the moment by her move with the knife so instead, he used the force to close the distance between them. If she didn't want to be cleaved in two, she would need to duck or some other move to get out of the way. If she did, she would suddenly feel the force wrap around her immediately afterward and pull her harshly toward the Sith as his fingers would wrap around her throat and squeeze her tightly enough to bruise.

He would slap the blaster out of her hand before pulling out the blade that was embedded into his leg, letting out a growl as he was too clouded from anger and the thought of killing Trys to realize more and more reinforcements were flooding in. Ender's eyes burned with an intensity that it would feel like he was staring directly through her and into the essence of who she was, "You should have let me be." He held up the knife she threw in his other hand as it was covered in his blood and he arched it back to get ready to plunge it directly in her heart.

Trys saw her knife find purchase in his leg, and it immediately slowed him down. The man he was engaging was cast aside, and she thought he died at once. She leveled her gun to shoot him again, but he turned on her then and tossed his saber at her. Having watched him the entire time, she quickly jumped to the side, the whirling blades sailing a hair's breadth past her. The heat brushed close to her skin as it passed. Trys turned back to him in time for him to unleash a new attack. The Force coiled around her neck abruptly and it was pain beyond she could have ever fathomed. Her eyes bulged, and she couldn’t breath. The gun was out of her hands and she clutched at her throat, lifted off the ground.

Tears formed in her eyes from the strain, bruises appearing along her neck. She felt herself rapidly losing consciousness and there was nothing she could do about it. She saw the man moving in with the bloody knife, raising it to plunge it into her heart. Trys closed her eyes, not wanting to be witness to her own death on top of all the agony she felt. Her vision began to go completely black.

Meanwhile, the elite team had moved in by then. One of the men aimed and shot the knife out of Ender’s hand. They would all soon have him surrounded and be prepared to overwhelm him.

His blood dripped from the blade and onto his own shoulder as the pictures of her and Crix flashed through his head. The anger that she had tapped into without knowing it was one that hadn't been released ever before for Ender and it radiated off of him. The picture triggered something inside him that he couldn't control and it wasn't even for her, it was directed towards the invisible woman who could birth something like him and abandon him so he would fend for himself. Trys was just the one who unfortunely took the brunt of that rage and it would most likely take her life because of it.

The knife was about to soar forward but Ender was blinded by his hate and didn't even realize the SWAT that maneuvered through the pillars and closed in around the two. One of the marksmen fired a shot right into the flat side of the knife and knocked it out of his hand instantly. Before he could look at who joined the pair, a stun bolt came in next and struck him in the side as he felt the shock spread throughout his entire body. Ender was still fueled by a rage that ignited every fiber of him and it didn't take him down completely but it weakened him and his fingers around the unconscious Trys started to slip away ever so slowly. NO! He screamed through the force as he had been so close in ending her life right there and the one in charge of the Rangers.

Ender fell on the knee of his bad leg, unable to keep weight on it but he remained up, his gaze locked on Trys as it seemed they burned brightly like his saber. Multiple officers surrounded him, the butt of a rifle striking him right in the cheek of his mask and making his head turn with it for a moment. A couple more strikes from rifles came one into his injured side and the back of his head that was fully encased by his helmet. It made his head ring but that was the most it did. The entire time his eyes didn't leave Trys but when another strike came behind the knee of his good leg, he finally let out a groan of pain before collapsing onto the ground and flat on his stomach.

Multiple officers got on top of him immediately and held him down with their arms and legs. "Get the sedative now!" Hearing those words, Ender shifted tried to get up with a new surge of energy but they would quickly utilize a baton and slam it into his leg and stopped him there. The needle was quickly plunged into his neck before the sedative was injected into his bloodstream.

It would take a moment for it to have an effect and the Rangers and SWAT there decided to help, either giving him a few kicks, punches, and a healthy baton somewhere to his body. They were standing over the person that had killed their brothers and sisters in arms on live TV. There were no cameras in the basement and they wanted a little bit of revenge. Eventually, Ender's eyes would close as he couldn't remain awake and the last thing he saw was Trys on the ground with him.
