Hello Everyone,

We here in the Chiss Ascendency are doing a recruitment drive! We are currently in need of members for two of our sub factions The Chiss Expansionary Defense Force and the Chiss Immortal Order. Now we are recruiting for several different ranks inside of each of these subfactions, and each rank has a specific requirement (Word Count and Pre-approval.) NOTE: Indies can also apply to any of the following ranks, if they meet requirements.

Chiss Expansionary Defense Force

Legatus: (2 needed)
This rank is a high officer rank in the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force and thus will require not only a 3,000 word minimum (Roughly) on the backstory/history section of your character but pre-approval from Lupe, Veritas et Lux, Weiss, or Myself.

Centurion Prime: (2 needed)
As with the Legatus rank this is considered a high officer rank in the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force and thus will require a 2,500 word minimum (roughly) on the backstory/history section of your character and pre-approval from Lupe, Veritas et Lux, Weiss, or Myself.

Centurion Adjutant: (3 needed)
The Centurion Adjutant is a mid-level officer rank in the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force and thus will require a 1,500 word minimum (exactly) on the backstory/history section of your character and pre-approval from Lupe, Veritas et Lux, Weiss, or Myself.

Legionnaire: (4 needed)
The Legionnaire is a low level officer rank in the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force and thus will require a 1,000 word minimum (exactly) on the Backstory/History section of your character application and pre-approval from Lupe, Veritas et Lux, Weiss, or Myself.

(Exceptions to these guidelines may be made, please speak with Lupe or Veritas et Lux for any exceptions to these guidelines inside of the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force.)

Chiss Immortal Order

Roncimrcr (Undermaster): (Both slots)
The Roncimrcr position is a Councilor position this means that not only is there a 5,000 word minimum and pre-approval requirement on the character applications but the writer in question must be able to keep/get in contact with Myself and Lupe on a regular basis and they must be willing to work as a team! Pre-Approval is required from both Lupe and Myself.

Crahsystor (Commander):
The Crahsystor position is a position of authority inside of the Immortal Order and the Word Limit varies upon the Sigil rank that you are seeking inside of this rank.
First Sigil: Because this is the first step inside of the Crahsystor rank a 2,000 word minimum will be required as well as pre-approval from me.
Second Sigil: Because this is a mid-level Crahsystor a 2,500 word minimum will be required as well as pre-approval from me.
Third Sigil: This being the highest obtainable rank inside the Chiss Immortal Order (Aside from Roncimrcr) a 3,000 word minimum will be required as well as pre-approval from me.

Viziter (Knight):
The Viziter rank is the first official rank where a character is considered an actual Immortal, Because of this the word limit will be more lenient however pre-approval is still required.
Ronu (Leader’s) Stripe: Truly the first position of authority given inside the Immortal Order, because of this there will be a 1,500 word minimum will be required as well as pre-approval from me.
Base Knight: A base knight is a freshly minted Immortal Knight as such there is a 1,000 word minimum and pre-approval from myself.

Chiss Ascendancy Intelligence Network (CAIN)

For more information on CAIN's positions in relation to its branches, see here.

CAIN Vice Director: (1 needed)
This rank is the second highest rank in CAIN and thus will require not only a 3,000 word minimum (Roughly) on the backstory/history section of your character but pre-approval from Lupe, Veritas et Lux, Weiss, or Applejack, preferably Weiss.

Lord Ambassador: (1 needed)
The Lord Ambassador is in charge of the Diplomatic Bureau and thus will require a 2,000 word minimum (roughly) on the backstory/history section of your character and pre-approval from Lupe, Veritas et Lux, Weiss, or Myself. Duties may be less right now, but if a Chiss ends up establishing its congressional body, the Lord Ambassador would be in charge, making sure work is assigned and chairing meetings. The Lord Ambassador also is in charge of diplomats.

Planetary Governor: (Multiple needed)
Planetary Governors are basically Senators of certain planets or star systems; the name is currently being debated and may change. If enough Planetary Governors are devised, a Senate of sorts may be formed and given tasks, with hopes of trying to make them more active than the GA's. A 500 word minimum (roughly) on the backstory/history section of our character and pre-approval from Lupe, Veritas et Lux, Weiss, or Applejack are needed; please state why as well why your person should be Planetary Governor of Planet X. Planetary Governors are allowed dual positions (such as Arch's Planetary Governor is also CAIN's Director, Arch'elie'lia).

Head Researcher: (1 needed)
The Head Researcher is in charge of the Chiss Ascendancy Research Division, a CAIN division that keeps track over scientific progress and is a leading scientific research outlet. A 1,000 word minimum (roughly) on the backstory/history section of your character and pre-approval from Lupe, Veritas et Lux, or Applejack is needed.

Syndic of SIA: (1 needed)
This Syndic commands the Security of Internal Affairs, so a 1,500 word (roughly) on the backstory/history section of your character and pre-approval from Lupe, Veritas et Lux, Weiss, or Applejack is needed.

Lord Commander: (1 needed)
The Lord Commander leads CAIN's Force unit Chevaliers. A 1,500 word minimum (roughly) on the backstory/history section of your character and pre-approval from Lupe, Veritas et Lux, Weiss, or Applejack is needed.

(Exceptions to these guidelines may be made, please speak with Lupe, Weiss, or Veritas et Lux for any exceptions to these guidelines inside of the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force.)

Is the title of Roncimrcr required to be held by a Chiss? Or could another race become that rank? Could I possibly get a little more detail on what duties they perform/what would be required of me OOC'ly, the description in the Immortal Legions thread isn't very detailed.

The Roncimrcr is a "council" position inside the Chiss Immortal Order, one of the two is a Force Sensitive, the other is not. Race, Gender, Sexual Orientation, ect does not matter as The Chiss Immortals accept ALMOST anyone in their ranks and train them to become the best they can be. You duties icly would be to help make decisions with Cordia that could/will impact the entire Order; OOCly, I will be having you help me make story arcs, generating activity through missions/plots/ect (approved by both Lupe and Myself), basically it is a leadership role within the Order exclusively.

Would the Force Sensitive member be previously trained or would I have to go through it in RP? I've been looking for another faction to invest my time with other than the Sith and the recent resurgence of activity in the Chiss has piqued my interest. So sorry if these questions are stupid or anything. :p

All training would be stated in the backstory, I set a word count minimum of 5k words on history/backstory for that express reason. I want anyone who decides to take that post to write a strong character and have them well founded, if you are feeling up to that task go for it, if not try for a Commander slot or Knight :)

As long as I got Immortals I am happy :D

My writeup:

Geist Weiss is awesome, hence he should become Roncimrcr.

:CSly

On a side note, I've added CAIN slots on the list too.

May I take an Immortal Knight? Do they have Chiss families, or do they get rid of that part of their name?

Unless Applejack has changed that, Immortals do not get rid of that part of their name.

I'm guessing most of them are Mar, though. Seems appropriate.

Well, looking at it, I get the feeling that only the really strong survive. So most of them would be warriors, right? This translates to Mar to me.

You don't have to be Mar to be warriors and strongest to survive.

Good point. But you are kind of recommended on that path from birth and so can get through the training easier. I know that the one fifth getting killed before they actually finish becoming Immortals would dilute the numbers down, but the basic training is done when you are still physically normal. And considering that it seemsvery harsh, I wouldn't be surprised if Mar has the most candidates getting injected.

Cordia is the High Immortal and she is Arch, also you don't HAVE to be a Chiss race to be an Immortal, most aren't actually.

Eh. Just kind of seemed logical to me. But could I have the Knight?

The Knight ranking? Sure just meet the requirements! Also, think of the Immortals as the French Foreign Legion, they fight for a country they aren't necessarily a part of. Keep in mind that Immortals aren't necessarily all Force Sensitive either, they have those that aren't FS but those that are FS are niche fighters. They specialize in taking out Force Users, their Force Powers should reflect that.
