Chiss Ascendancy
Chiss Ascendancy Missions
Chiss Ascendancy Missions
The following is a list of missions available to Chiss or Sith/Imperial characters. For any missions involving an enemy faction, contact the leaders of that faction to get role players from their side involved.
To sign up for a mission, just post in this thread.
Missions marked in red are taken and closed.
Missions marked in Green are taken but still open.
When you have completed a mission, PM one of the Chiss Leaders and they will look over your mission for you.
You must PM a Chiss leader if you wish to receive credit for your mission.
You can request a specific format for how they look at it in your PM. Any of these three can offer writing assistance, help with more efficiently completing mission objectives, help with NPC/PC interaction, etc. Don't worry, the goal is to have fun, so take any and all of our suggestions with a grain of salt.
[ST]If your mission is given a letter grade (in decreasing order from best to worst: S, A, B, C, D, F), you are expected to place it next to a link to the mission in your character's profile. The "S" grade will only be awarded in missions of great importance and/or with secret objectives, and the "A" grade will be quite hard to achieve, so don't be discouraged if your first few missions get B or C grades while you are still figuring things out - it's par for the course and there's no reason to worry about it.
[/ST]
Through missions you can earn Chiss Medals.
Operation, Flush Out Fortress
Terrestrial
Summary:
The renowned gang leader and murderer Jervan Hashva has escaped from prison along with a couple of his gang members. They have holed up inside of an apartment build and turned the place into a fortress to last months. The Ascendancy, in order to keep the peace, does not have months to wait and starve him out. Thus the military has been requested to help eliminate this man.
Details:
NPCer:
Nitenovanavium
PCs:
Jax Solusar (Defiance)
Martel (Lupe)
Hashva is former military and leads fifteen men with him inside this 'fortress.' The building is laced with traps and guns making it highly dangerous to go in without a plan. Two squads of five men each will simultaneously hit the building from the front and back entrance to flush out Hashva. On a more, quiet, note, the military has been given the go-ahead to execute Hashva and his men on the spot. Do not take prisoners and come prepared.
Difficulty:
Medium, character death is possible and the NPCer can design the traps and layout to his liking. Take caution.
"Operation, Strategic Remodeling"
Terrestrial
Summary:
A certain section of the Red Light district on Nar Shaddaa has been supplying Anti-Chiss rebels with heavy arms. However, the weapons company is too legit to stop through legal methods. Their leader and men count is irrelevant for this mission as you are to not engage them at all. The mission is to infiltrate the Red Light district with new Ascendancy stealth field generators, plant bombs inside a few of the weapon's organization's building, explode these bombs, then escape without begin discovered.
Details:
1 NPCer, 2-3 PCs
You are NOT to engage anyone on this mission. This mission is designed to focus on stealth and co-operation. The bombs must be placed in the areas of the buildings where they will do the most damage and explode simultaneously. In addition, a coverup will be required. Thus you cannot leave anything behind linking this to the Ascendancy. If you are discovered, then your cover will be blown and you are to abandon the mission. Character rank up is highly possible.
Difficulty:
Hard. This mission will be extremely difficult, and if you fail then no one is coming to save you. Character death is highly possible if you're not careful.
"Operation, Execute Valkyrie."
Terrestrial
Summary:
Human Ascendancy Officer Yorrin Garot has been found guilty of being a traitor after attempting to assassinate Tactical Commander Derro'An'Nuruodo through means of hired mercenaries. Yorrin has knowledge that we know of his guilt and currently resides in his home office. He is 'guarded' by a very large and irrational crowd of citizens who firmly believe in his false innocence. Yorrin, being a proper Ascendancy officer, is willingly offering himself up to be taken in for execution, but the crowd is now holding him hostage till he 'comes to his senses.' You are to diffuse the crowd situation, get inside, and offer Yorrin his three choices.
Details:
(Note, can only take place AFTER Operation, Stop Valkyrie, has been completed successfully)
1 NPCer(Black Noise), 1-3 PCs
The crowd is violent and unarmed. If you are unable to properly diffuse their anger then they are likely to attack. Logic and common sense is useless as they have become completely irrational. The situation can easily turn messy from this. In addition, you will be armed with non-lethal crowd control weapons as well. Upon getting to Yorrin, you're to give him his three options. To come in for a military execution within the day, shoot himself, or to inject himself with the Pheonix Virus. The NPCer may decided which option to take, though the second two are preferable if the crowd was not successfully diffused.
Difficulty:
Easy-Medium, possible character death if not careful. If you anger the crowd, they will attack you.
"Operation, Stop Valkyrie"
Terrestrial
Summary:
Tactical Commander Derro'An'Nuruodo has reason to believe someone wishes to take his life. His fears are not misplaced. Intel has been intercepted that the Tactical Commander assassination attempt is to occur during an important meeting that he plans to attend. Rather than call off the meeting, the Tactical Commamder prefers that an elite team of Chiss stop the assassins before they get to him.
Details:
1 NPCer(Black Noise), 2-4 PCs
You must cover all of the entrances and exits. If the assassins still get in then it is your duty to elimate them. Failure is not an option in the least. The Assassins will include 10 untrained mercenaries and 2 highly trained assassins. Black Noise will decide the Interior of the meeting area and the specific strategies of the enemy in the opening post of the RP.
Difficulty:
Medium-very difficult, if you fail to stop the two assassins and mercenaries before they reach the commander then you risk failing the mission. Character death is unlikely.
"Operation, Interrogation Interrupted"
Terrestrial
Summary:
A young woman with very sensitive Ascendancy information has been captured by private Exchange businessmen on Nar Shaddaa. You must travel to the planet, fight off the Ascendancy, stop them from interrogating the information out of her, then get her to safety.
Details:
1 NPCer, 2-3 PCs
The young woman is, in fact, an 18 year old Chiss Immortal Initiate still in training. She accessed and stole highly classified information with the intent to blackmail an Immortal Veteran into giving her even more sensitive information. The Exchange was a part of her plan until they turned on her and captured her. The Chiss she was attempting to blackmail told superiors of her actions, thus mobilizing the team and discoving the kidnapping. She must be retrieved alive and before the Exachange can torture the information out of her. The interrogation torturing starts the moment the mission begins, you must fight through and get to her in under three rounds of posting, then escape with her.
Difficulty:
Easy, quick in, quick out. Death is highly unlikely but if the mission is botched then do not come back home.
"Operation, The Devil Plays Pazaak and He Cheats."
Terrestrial
Summary:
Garote Helvet is an intergalactic crime lord specializing in Spice dealing and illegal gambling. Although the Ascendancy has stayed out of matters that concentrate in Alliance space, this Rodian recently decided to move in the Expansion Region of the Ascendancy. Ascendancy Command is not pleased and will not tolerate open crime activity inside of our Space. Garote himself will not be coming to the Ascendancy to set up shop, so you must go after him. He resides in his hideout on Nal Hutta most days simply playing away hours at Pazaak. Garote is a phenominal Pazaak player, but is not above cheating. You must go to his fortress on Nal Hutta, challenge him to a private match of Pazaak, then eliminate him. After his death, you must get out of the fortress before they realize he is dead and you are to blame.
Details:
1 NPCer. 2 PCs
Once you have entered the Fortress, challenging Garote to a game will be easy. It will be convincing him that the game must be in his private chambers that will be difficult. Once there, you may either chose to shoot him after the game, or before. It is reccommended that you shoot him after because if you leave too soon suspicion will be very high and you are likely to be discovered. Once Garote is dead, it is simply a matter of convincing the guard outside that Garote wishes to be left alone, which should not be too difficult, then getting out of there without arousing suspicion. If you are trapped inside, you must fight your way out.
Difficulty:
Easy-Hard. This mission can be extremely easy if you are good at persuasion, if you are not then you may have a large fight on your hands. Character death is possible.
{WiP}
Operation, "Dog Fight"
Space.
Summary:
Doug Nielson was a mercenary pilot for the Chiss Ascendancy and a good one, but several infringements to the rules and regulations of the Ascendancy has put him on Dishonorable Discharge. Distressed due to no one willing to hire him because of his bad record, Doug gathered a few of his friends and turned to the life of a pirate. His main target, Chiss Ascendancy freighters. He has since caused the Chiss Ascendancy numerous ships and plenty of credits. It is time to put a stop to this, thus the Chiss Ascendancy gave a go to Operation: Dog Fight. You must escort one of the freighters that frequents Doug's raid zone and protect it from Doug. You must then eliminate Doug and squad.
Details:
1 NPCer, 2-4 PCs
Doug was one of the best fighter pilots the Ascendancy had and thus he has an entourage. He and six others make up the Bandit force, all using clawcraft they bought in the black market. Once you enter the raid zone, they can attack your freighter at any moment so be aware. There is an asteroid field near the end of route that can be used to ambush you. Remember even though protecting the freighter is one of the objectives, killing Doug is more important. Eliminate him at all costs.
Difficulty:
Medium. Killing Doug is your objective, if he dies the others may flee. Those others are none of our concern. Death is a possibility.
Operation, "Stranded Freighter"
Space
Summary:
A freighter has broken down in one of the pirate zones and has sent out a distress call. It won't be long till raiders begin attacking the vessel, get in there quick and protect them while they make necessary repairs.
Details:
1 NPCer, 2-6 PCs
Once you arrive at the freighter you must protect from the rag tag pirate force in the area. The freighter contains valuable trade resources belonging to the Ascendancy, those resources cannot be lost. The pirate force is unknown and repairs will take around ten minutes (two pages). Do not chase the pirates, stick to the freighter.
Difficulty:
Medium. Chasing after the attacking pirates could result in going into a hornet's nest of pirates and get you killed. Death is a possibility.
