(( ooc: I'll be using my imperial guard. Vera Demakis. We're fighting on manaan btw since i'm writing it up.))

The pristine sparkling cleanliness that was ahto city gleamed in the bright light from the sun. The ocean currents swayed back and forth as if reflecting the unruliness of the events to transpire. She was clad in her special operations assault armor, on her back was her Kx-80 Repeating Blaster Rifle, on her belt holster nestled the T-6 Heavy blaster, and in her hand straight in front of her was her Conscript Carbine. She carried three high-grade thermal detonators on her chest for the big bang that he deserved.

The arbiters dared not intervene, for they understood beforehand through holo-communications that this was not their jurisdiction. She was to apprehend the target, known as 'Sindri'. The arbiters began to clear the streets of civilians and bystanders. This battle was on, and he had nowhere else to lead her to through the galaxy...
She came to a halt- he was inside of the building and she knew it.
"Give it up, Sindri! You're done for!", she bellowed into the evacuated cantina's doorway. Her shoulder and side was pressed against the outer wall, gun pointed towards the ground.
She waited for a response, anything... A reason to take his ass in dead and not alive.

((I'll play the bad guy then :CHappy))

Sindri stared down at the strange blue liquid they claimed was alcohol on this planet. His mind had been rolling the things he had done in the past years. All the death he had caused.. but how could they understand? What he did, he did for the betterment of all.. People had to die, worlds had to burn, but it had to be done!

He had chosen this planet.. this planet would be the place he would meet his pursuers. He had slain 3 knights and an entire team of Imperial Guards over the last month. The local Arbiters had long since given up on this district merely blocking it off from traffic.

He had not taken off his armor in weeks as they attacked him whenever they could. His armor was scorched and had long scars in it from glancing lightsaber blows. It had seen better days, but it had been doing its job.

A loud yell came from outside. Give it up, He was done for? Perhaps. Perhaps he would die this day, perhaps.. this was his atonement? No. His eyes hardened on the bar in front of him. He could not die here. Death was an escape.. He had so much more to do. Laying the glass down, he slowly stood before leaving the Cantina to face his opponent.

He did not look at his opponent at first, instead looking at the sky.. the ocean. Looking at the beauty and tranquilly of the scene. He wondered if he should make a comment on it.. something witty like he so liked to do, but.. he found he could not. Over the last few years.. over what he had done.. how far he had fallen to achieve his goals.. the light that was once in his heart and long since dwindled to nothing.

Finally, he looked to his opponent. Another Imperial Guard, but this one seemed far more skilled then the ones that met their end to him before. He bowed his head to his opponent "A pleasure to meet you. It is.. a beautiful day. Forgive me, but I will not, what do they say?" He paused thinking about it before remembering "Aw yes. Go quietly."

He slowly drew his lightsabers to his hands. "Tell me. What is your name?" He asked her. He wanted to remember it. She was brave. When he asked the others before her, they had all either shot at him or told him to go.. well, get friendly with himself. Perhaps, they thought it made them look cool? He just wanted a name. A name to put to a face. A name so he could find her loved ones to apologize.. someday when his job was done.

((ooc: i dont want any confusions.. the weird plant thing im talking about is like how you see in video games. They're everywhere in video games, they places that you can't walk, are risen up slightly, and contain either fountains or plants or something inside of a city. I really have no good way to describe it as i don't know the name, so I'm just going to post a pic. xD
telos.jpg

it's like that, but it's risen higher and has a little grass on it with few shrubs."

Vera, after shouting for him to come out, held up the carbine and back-peddled to a high risen planter filled with grass and a few shrubs. There wasn't anything to hide her, that wasn't the point, the point was that he was a lightsaber user and a dangerous one at that. She was skilled in knife combat, and even against vibroswords she was good, but lightsabers were probably not something she'd want to attack head on.
As she propped the gun up on the edge of the planter, the knight strutted out. He was war-torn and his armor seemed to recollect months of running from the brotherhood without any chance or hope of repairs. His sarcastic walk, his gruff laugh, his apparently obvious lack of care whether or not he died today or not, he was one of those kinds...

"The name is Vera, Vera Demakis- Brigadier of the imperial guard. We don't have to do this, you can surrender now and live.", she said. She was hunkered down for a moment, but noticed already any places for cover and marked them in her head.
He reached for his lightsaber... Great, he wants to fight, well I'll just have to show him that I'm the best that the order can send, and he's no match for me. She rotated the timer on one of the thermal detonators in her bandoleer strap without removing it. Timer set for twenty second, than we'll see the look on his face while he's interrupted whilst monologuing. Heh.

"What do you have to say for your actions, Sindri? You are no better than the empire that we worked so hard to detach from!", she shouted back at him. He was an imperial knight, hell he came from the empire and if there was one thing that Vera had learned while in the presence of other knights, was that there was nothing worse than a non force user using dun moch, or whatever it was called, against a force user. They never expected it, and rarely ever noticed that it was dun moch...
Heh, they underestimate us non-force users so much...

"Vera" He repeated rolling the name around in his mouth. He would not bother replying to the surrender comment, they both knew this would end only with his death or her defeat. "Perhaps" He started shrugging "In a different universe, we could have been.. comrades." He would not say friends because he was not sure.

Say for his actions? Did he? Well, he supposed he did. Looking up at the Imperial Guard, he repeated her softly "All I have done?" He stopped before laughing "My sweet, sweet Vera. I've only just begun."

It was time. She put herself away from him, although as an Ataru user, there was nowhere she could hide that he could not get to. She was not the first imperial guard to try this tactic, but why should he have to come after her?

He stood their motionless gathering the force to his right hand.. building it and refining it, before suddenly raising his hand and drawing it back to himself calling upon the basic move of Force Pull. Sense it took her in the back, he was counting on the surprise factor to be what caused it. If it worked it would pull her towards him and off her high ground.

(ooc: i was behind it, kneeling down, basically taking a cover point. Ever play mass effect? like that.))

Vera anticipated a rough fight. This wasn't going to be fun, and definitely wouldn't be fair. He had his force powers and a lightsaber, but she had tricks up her sleeve as well along with her slippery mind. She didn't count on the force pull, not one bit, but it was an obvious attempt to pull her in fast to cut her up up close. If it weren't for the thermal detonator ticking on her chest, she most likely would have drawn a blank, but she needed to get rid of it quick so her instincts quickly kicked in.

Flying through the air with her carbine in hand, she removed the grenade from her bandoleer strap and lunged her left arm forward, emphasized by the force pull, to stick it to his armor. When the pull had subsided and the force was not gripping her anymore, she had fallen flat on her stomach in the fall. She quickly rolled to her right towards the entrance of the cantina to get away from he blast.

3.... 2.... 1....

Blam! A wave of heat and few shards of shrapnel scathed her amour before she lunged to her feet. The cloud of smoke lingered darkly from the blast.
Vera knelt onto her left knee and swung up the carbine, blasting a few rounds into the cloud.

"Don't underestimate me, bitch.", she yelled over her blaster. Her femininity almost never came through except when on the battlefield.
He had struck a nerve, it seemed he looked down onto her like she wasn't a threat.
"I'll show you who has just begun, Sindri."

((You said in the brush.. and that it was higher off the ground in the picture, so I assumed you meant it to be higher off the ground. My bad.. but it didnt change much, so its probably fine.))

In truth, he was going to slash her through when she got within range.. the plan worked perfectly truth be told, but he saw what was in her hands as she drew near. A grenade. He did not pause to see what kind of grenade as who truly cared? It was a grenade. He could have continued with his plan. Slice her in half.. but then the grenade would detonate.. and well, he did not want to die with her.

He abandoned his plan in favor of a new one. One that did not end with both of them dying. She was clever.. and he needed a way to win without more damage to himself, so he waited. Just as she stuck the grenade to her chest and fell down, he smacked it down and jumped.

15 feet in the air the grenade detonated. He was high enough that the flames and shrapnel did not get to him, but the concussion sent him spiraling. He momentarily lost concentration as to where he was, and barely managed to land on the ground on his feet.

He was several feet away from the smoke that still burned covering what he could see, but he did see a few blaster shots come through the smoke, but they were wild shots as if she hadnt aimed merely shot at the smoke. The shots were far from their target, but now he knew where she was and would not waste time.

Without pause, he Jumped once more over the smoke flipping in the air before igniting his lightsabers. From his high vantage point he could easily spot her, but if she noticed him.. he did not know and was not going to take chances. He flung his right lightsaber at her to force her to move as he held his left lightsaber in front of him as a shield against and shots she managed to get off as she avoided his other lightsaber. He would get close and end this.

The heat from Sindri's saber as it slashed inches from her nose emanated and burned. She moved backwards at his slash, and rolled to her left. Out of his range now, she lunged her carbine over her hip replacing it with her vibroknife and her t-6.
The lightsaber was just a damn advantage, something to hide behind, and he had two of them.
She wouldn't be able to disarm him with blasters like others, but he was an ataru specialist- that alone was good enough for her. He would drop that saber of his eventually, and when he did it was done for.

She reached into her belt and primed a few ionized grenades, nuclear radiation was always a great weapon with electronics... Krath, that upgrade of grenades she made awhile back seemed to prove useful more and more. The grenades in her belt wouldn't go off until thrown, some kind of advanced sensors- something like that.

"Come at me, Bro.", she mocked, and turned to run. There was more cover than the planter she had been behind earlier, another one about fifteen meters back.
Sprinting for cover, she had to make sure that he didn't see her move the grenade into the t-6's chamber. It would be better off that way-

"Come at me bro?" He repeated.. really? Out of all the things she could have said to be witty.. she said that. In the past, he was a master at being witty, but even know with his humor long since deserting him, he new that was just a bad one.

She most likely had more grenades as few people walk around with one. Perhaps she thought to lure him into a trap and then get another grenade off. Well, it did not matter. Instead of following her into the bush, he jumped once more soaring high into the sky and spotting her hiding behind soft cover.

He threw his lightsaber at her once again to force her to move out of the cover, he would not land and attack her this time instead landing a couple yards away to ensure she could not run again.

He knew she would dodge his thrown lightsaber, but when she did he would pull it back to himself and give her his real surprise as he gathered the force to the palm of his hand.

Lightsaber came jolting down to the ground, it wasn't exactly what she wanted- but it would suffice. She took aim, she took her time, and the lightsaber was hurdling too close to her. She shot the grenade onto the hilt before rolling away, it was a long shot but she'd had plenty of miracles. The grenade stuck as the saber crashed into the ground and ran back to Sindri. Whatever his plans for offense would be, would probably be blown to bits in about three seconds. Heh.

He was done for, she knew he was. He was no match for her as soon as he pulled her from behind her cover.

There was no time to reload the T-6, only to holster it and quickly grab the Kx-80 rifle. She ran for cover again, this time on the other side of the street she slid behind the planter. Krath, he would wear himself out at least with all of his jumping too and fro.
She loaded the gun and peaked over the planter to shoot a few blaster bolts at his hilted lightsaber. She didn't scope in, but she wouldn't have too- they were to keep him on his toes.

((The second lightsaber has been in his hand the entire time.. I never put it down. He drew both at once. He has been throwing one, but the other has always been in his left hand))

This was getting boring. He was not sure if she was trying to aim for this, or just indirectly aiming at boring him to death. The grenade to the lightsaber was clever, but it would not work. He was more surprise that somehow she was able to shoot a grenade which somehow managed to stick to the handle of a twirling object. It was.. a truly one in a million shot.

As the lightsaber came back, he moved to the left dodging the poorly aimed shots as he spun slicing through the grenade on the flying lightsabers hilt as it passed him. The grenade fell in two as whatever was in it was melted in mere moments. If she was smarter she would have timed the grenade to blow on impact. It would have destroyed one of his lightsabers and hampered his fighting style. He had been tempted to merely push the handle and grenade back at her and kill her, but she was not worth sacrificing one of his lightsabers.

Striking the grenade was a simple matter. Much like the strange game where someone hit a ball with a blunt object then ran in circles. Using the lightsaber he had sliced through the grenade to block what new blastershots she fired, he reached his hand out and caught the lightsaber he had thrown. With his fingers he flicked off the part of the grenade still stuck to the handle.

"You bore me. I thought you were here to kill me." He replied dully. He was an Ataru user, he could jump all day. The truly tiring times came during a lightsaber to lightsaber battle where he had to continually jump without rest, this.. this was child's play.

Turning on his heel, he kept his lightsabers activated encase she decided to shoot at him again. "I am getting a drink." He said as he made his way back to the Cantina. She was here to kill him not the other way around. He would not go chasing her around the city, if she wanted to fulfill her duty.. or whatever it was that she wanted, she could come do it.

His pride would be his downfall. The man could very well top candidates of Vera's most-sarcastic-bounties brought in. Yes, she had a list too.
As he turned back towards the cantina, she took that opprortunity to get the back of his head in her scopes. She pulled the trigger, three shots at his head, two at his chest.
"Coward.", she spat on the ground next to her.

Vera smiled in repose to him though, he showed great aesthetic charm in his fancy ataru bullshit. But in all honesty, he was a dousche-bag.
She reached down into her belt once more, this time she would prime two more grenades... One a gas and the other an adhesive- she was tired of fooling around.

If he wanted to run into the cantina after those shots, than so be it.

"Says the woman hiding in the bushes." Sindri replied lazily to Vera on her coward comment. Truly, if you run away from your opponent at every turn, you were not allowed to call your opponent a coward. He stepped into the cantina and let the blaster shots hit harmlessly against the metal walls.

He was no fool. He knew what she would do. It was a typical soldier tactic. She would toss in a few grenades and either enter or move further away depending on the grenades.. on that note, he wondered how many she carried with her. She already used 2.. did she have a grenade growing tree somewhere?

It did not matter. He moved and sat on top of the table facing the door way. The second the grenades came in he would push them out with the force. Since the walls were metal, and the alien architects had no since of style it had no windows.. it literately was a metal box.

If the grenades were thrown in, he would stop them before they hit the ground encase she got smarter and primed them for impact. Luckily enough as long as the impact wasnt hard it would not detonate, just a slight push would be all it took to send it the other direction. If rolled in, he would push it out.

If she found her courage and entered guns blazing then he would end it in the close quarters of the cantina... He supposed, if she made him wait long enough, he would simply leave. He had so much more to do.. this was meant to be merely a pit stop.

She had to think... She wasn't a match for lightsabers in her condition, and he was nothing more than reluctant to keep from getting blasted with a grenade.

She thought long and hard before relinquishing a sigh at her decision. She'd have to do it, despite what she stood for.

...................................... Moments later...........

She sighed, her carbine was jutting out in front of her with one hand, her other hand would be used to throw what she had towards his sabers at the moment of him coming towards her.
She turned around the corner, gun ablaze, the shots were accurate- hell, she was one of the best shooters on the base back at home.
Her other hand reached into her pouch and threw down the smoker at her feet, disappearing into the smog.
She than threw her selkath human shield out of the smoke towards him, adhesive greande strapped to him.

The loud bang went off, and there was no doubt in her mind that he was probably pretty pissed off right now, stuck to some fish in the smoke at the counter with nowhere to go.
She popped off her last grenade, the tear gas, before diving inside of the smoke behind the solid cube table up in the booth to her left.
She was on the opposite end of the room as him...
She reached over, taking cover behind the table, aiming down the irons of her carbine... She squeezed the trigger...
"Where's your pristine sass now, Sindri?"

He quietly waited for the woman to make her decision, and soon enough she came burst into the door firing shots at him. It was not that hard to block them, but it was strange.. he did not expect her to chose this path. She threw down another grenade like thing which exploded in smoke.

Fearing she would use the cover to throw another grenade, he jumped back throwing a lightsaber at the door as he flew behind the bar in the middle of the room and took cover. He heard his lightsaber slice through something.. but whatever it was made an almost gurgling like murmur before something exploded.

Sindri peaked out from behind his cover only to see a dead.. something that was in two pieces. It was not human as the head looked.. well, he guessed it was not human. He supposed it could have been.. the smoke was only know clearing. It was covered head to toe in strange purple goo.. adhesive from what he could guess. The door had a large gash from where his lightsaber had kept going.

Another grenade was thrown on top of the dead body, and Sindri rolled his eyes. How many of these did she have with her? Before ducking once more. This explosion.. was more of a hissing sound. Gas? Well, she was getting smarter that was for sure, before he heard "Where's your pristine sass now, Sindri?" wait.. was this woman stupid enough to put herself in a mostly enclosed room... that was filling with gas.. why hadnt she waited outside for him to leave then ambushed him?

He heard a blaster shot fired.. but it was not near him. He peaked out of cover once more to see her firing into the thinning smoke.. She thought he was there? Well, let her. He was not sure where the lightsaber he had thrown went to, but luckily there would be no escape for her. The adhesive covered the floor in front of the door. If she tried to escape she would get stuck to the floor... well, same went for him, but why would he leave? His target had effectively isolated herself inside a small cantina with a lightsaber user.

"You know." He said leaning against the bar "I thought I was evil, but sacrificing a innocent person like that? Its something a Sith would do." He taunted her. She wanted sass.. he would give her sass. The gas was slowly making its way to him, and from her shot he knew he was in the middle of the cantina.. and she was at the end, so she was not to far from him.

Lightsaber in hand, he hopped over the counter and made his way towards her, his lightsaber across his body in guard position. He would enjoy this.

((ooc: i did NOT throw the selkath at the door, but at the counter where you were propped. and as an explosive adhesive grenade it should have gotten you somewhat... and the grenade was thrown at the counter/table also. ))

((OCC: I did not say the Selkath. I said Sindri flew. He did not even know what came through the door until after the smoke was clearing, so to recap. Sindri is the one who flew (jumped if you prefer) behind the bar, so yes, he did avoid it because he was not near the entrance where the Selkath got covered with the purple goo. You can throw the grenade at the table, but he is not at the table.))

Vera than proceeded to be knocked out by her own gas, and her blaster jammed, exploding on her arm. The last single grenade she had than fell out of her bandoleer strap in a freakish accident, arming itself...
Your argument is invalid... :CIsee

Heh. i always intended for you to win though. youll have more fun than i later on in the tournament
