He comes from a small, no name clan that falls under House Solus. His family name was nothing to write home about, though he was still raised as a traditional Mandalorian. His clan was nomadic in nature, traveling from planet to planet in the outer rim to avoid persecution by the Sith for generations. Their numbers dwindled and the name faded into the sands, though the traditions were carried by parents passing down to the next generation.
Marek was raised to go through his verdgoten, though he knew even then that he had no desire to stick with the Mandalorian path. It wasn’t long after he crafted his beskar’gam that he discovered things came easy if he simply took things without asking. His honor code and traditional teachings had kept him away from easy credits while the life of crime had no ceilings for opportunity.
It began with petty theft, and soon he graduated to stir up enough trouble to get spotted by a member of the Crimson Dawn. He had been trained as a Mandalorian, and this meant his skills came in handy for tracking down artifacts guarded by those that wielded the Force. This was the stepping stone to get him into the group, and he never looked back.
Though he preferred to operate alone, he didn’t mind grouping up with others to take on complex heists and jobs. He had long since abandoned his family and old life, though he continued to wear his trademark armor.

No one knows Marek’s name, known to others as simply Cavalry, or much about him as he keeps entirely to himself. No one knows his history or any trials and tribulations he has been through, and he prefers to keep it that way. Only a handful of others have ever seen his face, and that had been when he was a child.
He prefers to operate alone, though he is willing to work with others to take on complex jobs.
