HUTT CARTEL
ASSETS

huttcartelkd6.png

Below is a list of all the assets and holding of the Hutt Cartel, many of which were acquired under the Ona'bak Retrade network. This information is to be used OOC as well as IC to those who have the knowledge of the Cartel's assets. It is impossible to know every aspect of the web of network that the Cartel has their hand in, though this is a close guide.

This is a list of planets that the Cartel has influence in, no matter the magnitude of such influence. Some planets may have only potential business ventures aligned for the future, and others are fully controlled planets of the Hutt Cartel. Not all assets are in Hutt Territory, those planets that are not are not controlled by the Cartel, but hold great interest.

Nar Shaddaa

Known as the Vertical City, the Smuggler's Moon, and Little Coruscant, Nar Shaddaa is the largest moon of Nal Hutta. It's entire surface flourishes with city-life and tall buildings, hover-cars and speeders lanes line through special highways created to get through the planet fastest. Although it many ways it is similar to what Coruscant used to be, it is also different. Most of it's streets and levels are over-run with pollution and infested with crime. There are few locations where it is highly regarded as fancy and expensive, and those locations are all owned by members of the Cartel.

The Smuggler's Moon is more importantly known for it's association of being the capitol for the infamous Hutt Cartel. Deep in the middle of Hutt Space, this moon is the home of most of the leading families and Agents of the Cartel. Despite it's robust magnitude of crime, nothing happens on this moon without a Hut knowing or being involved. Some of the key landmarks that the Cartel owns are:

casino.jpg

Calrissian Hall is the to-go place for gamblers all across the galaxy. Located in the heart of Nar Shadaa's bright-lights district, it is named after the legendary Lando Calrissian. The Hall is a 50-story tall skyscraper, casino, and luxury resort. It is a massive facility with the first ten stories dedicated to hangars for speeder and starship parking. The eleventh floor, at ground level, is the main entrance to the Hall and opens up directly into the massive casino. There are several more floors of the same - sabacc tables, podrace betting booths, full-service bars and the like on every level. Even Calrissian Hall's least expensive boarding option is very comfortable for those staying in it. Some of the more expensive suites include full-sized private pools aside from those open to everybody on the recreational levels. All halls, hangers, rooms, and seats are fitted as spacious as possible to accommodate most Hutt's massive size.

On each of the gambling and recreational floors, a squad of armed guards patrol the venues with ion pistols and rifles to make sure that there is nothing outside of the ordinary going on. Each room/suite is checked by a bomb/HAZMAT expert(s) after a guest leaves, and sweeps are often held at random even while guests are still checked in. At any high risk table, or those where Cartel Agents have chosen to play, a trained and specialized dealer is placed with an ion rifle of his own. All guards subservient and ready to protect the Cartel members that are regularly gambling and hosting events at the casino and resort.

Focused around the famous and magnificent casino Calrissian Hall, the Nar Shaddaa enclave is a product of the old Retrade-Hutt relationship. The enclave still deals primarily in the slave trade and narcotic game, but despite booming business, the majority of the still-young establishment's revenue comes from its casino.

The Nar Shaddaa enclave is meager in size beyond the casino grounds and is mostly limited to a collection of buildings in the middle-tier of the entertainment district considered aligned with Hutt territory. Although it is small and seemingly insignificant, it is staffed by the elite operators of the Hutt's security detail.

Security measures beyond the aforementioned personnel include automated turrets and alarms as well as motion sensors, that feature heat recognition. These measures are still being improved.

NarShadaaGunMarkets_zpsdbcc2a5a.jpg
An open market for the buying and selling of all types of guns, the Gun Market is a bustling hub to trade and network for the Hutt Cartel. Being open to the public, it's defense lies in its sheer size and nature. The market streets were always crowded with those buying the latest models, and fully willing to use them. It is because of this that it stays so well defended. One one dares fire a shot when they know that the return is going to be a barrage.

Sprawling through the back allies of Nar Shaddaa's capitol, and sheltered in the shadow of the Hutt Palaces, the Gun Markets appear to have no set order or layout. However, to the trained eye there are corridors of fire, murder zones, locations for escape. As well as being a market, its also a maze and a battle ground if needed. For the Local Crime Barons, under instructions from the Cartel's higher-ups, have ensured that the very center of the Market is almost impossible to reach without invitiation and guidance. It is here in the beating heart of the Markets that the Cartel exclusive can be found. Purchasable only by Cartel Agents, some of the most adaptable and sought after products in the galaxy can be purchased here.

Network Access was a vital hub of the HoloNet located on the planet of Nar Shaddaa by the time of the Cold War, which itself was considered the technological heart of the galaxy. It governed all HoloNet operations on Nar Shaddaa and much of Hutt Space with billions of transactions along with communications being processed each second by the computer systems. This ensured the proper functioning of communications throughout the sector and Network Access boasted the galaxy's most state-of-the-art security protocols which made it the ultimate challenge for any enterprising slicers.

Both the wealthy and powerful paid a good amount of credits for information pirates to break into Network Access in order to recover data, redirect communications or simply alter the truth. Thus, it was considered one of the most heavily-guarded locations on Nar Shaddaa with anyone managing to infiltrate its inner workings earning the status of a legend.

Nal Hutta

Glorious Jewel, or Nal Hutta in Huttese, is the capital of Hutt territory in the Y'Toub system. Also known as Hutta, this planet is home to the Hutt families, who also rule the moon, Nar Shaddaa. Having taken over the planet from the Evocii in 15,000 BBY, the planet formally known as Evocar, they had migrated from their original world of Varl with their forced servants, the t'landa Til.

Little entertainment could be found on the surface of Nal Hutta, aside from certain Hutt business ventures. The planet is mainly used as a meeting ground for the Hutt Cartel and it's higher ranking members. Deep in Hutt territory, it is well protected by the Cartel and nearly impossible to get to if you are wanted by the Hutts. Some of the key landmarks that the Cartel owns are:

U5OTKRJYFN.jpg

The main headquarters of the Hutt Cartel. This massive structure serves as a HUB of all pertinent intel that involves anything within, or regarding Hutt Cartel territory or business ventures. Also a meeting place set for any and all members or invited contacts of the Cartel. Centered in the middle of Nal Hutta's largest city, this construct was built with the security of the Cartel in mind. 24 hour surveillance and security/patrol detail, there is no entry point that is not covered. While millions of credits do go through this HUB each day, few of this money is actually stored here. Sentry turrets are located at key points throughout the building.

Because the headquarters serves as a target to the Cartel's enemies, the main meeting and storage facility is not located in this position. In the city, another building, connected to the HUB by an underground passage, is where the higher ranking Cartel agents, and leader himself, go to conduct the more important business of the Cartel. Though smaller, it is armed justas much as the HUB itself.

god_of_war_ascension__canyon_multi_player_arena_by_jungpark-d5zgj39.jpg

The Wasteland Colosseum is owned and run by Borga Vosadii Pronda. Used as a startup setting for Borga's interest in gladiatorial combat, the arena had generated great income and interest. Holding smaller events each week, and larger ones each month, Borga's gladiators fight to the death against other gladiators or fierce creatures for the amusement of the public. It's circular shape and heightened structure created for aesthetics and intimidation. Two gates located to the North, and to the South let people come and go as they please, though having to pay a fee for entering.

This arena is used for gladiatorial fights, sporting events, trial by combat, and ceremonies. Able to be rented out for a hefty price for any event that is needed. With seating for nearly ten thousand patrons, not including the special seats for the Cartel members and their guests. The arena holds many traps including electrified floor sections, spiked pits, spinning blades, flame jets, water pits and more.

While death fights and tournaments are commonly held here, there is also a setting for non-death matches that are open to the public.

Thyferra

[floatleft]http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20070621224837/starwars/images/2/28/Thyferra2.jpg[/floatleft]

Thyferra is a hot, humid planet located in the Polith system on the Rimma Trade Route, on which most of the galaxy's bacta is produced. It is also a major political power as bacta production is an essential commodity. Now controlled by the Hutt Cartel, along with the Bacta Cartel, Thyferra is well protected as is the bacta that is produced. Any threats to the planet, or to the Hutt Cartel, and the bacta production will be destroyed, this is the reason that the Csartel can hold such a planet so far from it's main territory.

Bacta Cartel:
The Bacta Cartel was a monopoly of the galaxy's two bacta-producing corporations, Zaltin and Xucphra.
The cartel arose when these corporations were given an exclusive contract by the Galactic Empire to produce and distribute bacta. The cartel was largely responsible for inflating bacta prices throughout the galaxy. Both had their headquarters and manufacturing facilities on Thyferra. Ten thousand Humans controlled the companies, but roughly 2.8 million Thyferran-native aliens known as Vratix produced the bacta.

Now the Bacta Cartel is owned and operated under the power of the Hutts, and directly under Vero the Hutt. Costs of bacta has remained high, and is regulated as to not run out so easily. Few buyers are able to keep up with the prices for long, which are few and far between, though what money that the Cartel has generated buys them more than enough time for new buyers to come around.

Tatooine

[floatleft]http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100402000050/swtor/images/b/b8/CA_20091218_Tatooine03_full.jpg[/floatleft]
Not officially in Hutt Cartel territory, Tattooine still has many influential figures and businesses that contribute to the Cartel's wealth. It's main influential clan and contributors come from clan VesaJilic, led by Nor'Baal VesaJilic Diori. Other ventures are still under supervision and have been put in progress.

Business assets under Nor'Baal VesaJilic Diori include:

  • Chain of cantinas
  • Numerous warehouses
  • Space Port: Gained during his time as a member of the retrade, the space port was 'liberated' from a rival (since passed away) Hutt Baron. It is through here that Nor'baal ships his ill gotten gains.
  • Smuggling operation: As the name suggests, these is the area of the Hutt's business that focuses on the shipping of Illegal goods. Ranging from fleets of independant smuggler ships, funded by the Hutt to the Hutts Twenty (and growing) fleet of Seey'bark modular ships, Nor'baal transports thousands of tonnes of goods every week.
  • Mining Company: Using slave labour to dig up ore and refine it for ship parts, the Hutt's mining venture is based in a heavily secure compound out in the desert.

TatooineEnclave_zps82c88938.jpg

Deep within the desert far beyond any land-travel capacity, is the large underground fortress referred to as Forsaken Sands. While the more menial Cartel business is conducted through its businesses in Mos Espa, Mos Eisley and Anchorhead, the Forsaken Sands enclave is reserved for much more significant criminal activity. The bulk of this location is used largely for fabrication, creating products for independently crafted vehicles, spacecrafts, arms and armor.

Inherited by the Ona'Bak Retrade, the enclave has since been a safe haven for Hutt affiliated criminals. A place to communicate and plan business meetings as well as establish connections that arent trustworthy enough to have them in a more comfortable setting. Available only to the Hutt Cartel, no other may enter unless specifically allowed by a Champion or higher.

The facility is built in small, square rooms, interconnected with the others. In times of emergency, thick blast doors slam shut separating each room from another. From here, more can be done, such as purging the facility with gas vents (as was done with the previous facility), spelling certain death for any unwanted company. The rooms can be purged individually or collectively. Traditional security measures, such as armed security personnel, scouts, alarm systems and automated turrets are also in place.

Its location was once a known krayt nest, but it has since been established in nearby proximity; the location uses the presence of krayt dragons as a natural camouflage and deterrent from unwanted visitors that, as unlikely as it may be, happen to be lurking in the area.

[thread=51324]Zonju V[/thread]

Another planet not in Hutt Cartel territory, Zonju V has serious business plans due to the work and initial planning of Enforcer Sonny Mills. Zonju V has been known to bare an underworld full of gangs and opposing thugs. A main goal for this planet is total control. Using the gangs to gain a strong foothold, and Cartel investment and backup to accomplish such a feat. From this came the Triumvirate, a formation of Sonny Mills, Nor'Baal the Hutt, and Borga the Hutt. The group each bringing their assets to bring forth Zonju V into their hands and the hands of the Cartel.

  • Sathad'ra Spaceport
  • Mallum Company
  • Spice mines

Etti IV

[floatleft]http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130828103627/es.starwars/images/2/21/Planete_etti4.jpg[/floatleft]
Etti IV is the capital of the Corporate Sector and a hot, stormy and dense world. The planet was settled by the Etti, a blue-skinned race of Near-Humans who left the Core Worlds circa 20,000 BBY to escape persecution. The world was a crossroads for several major trading routes, and was hospitable to most Human and humanoid races, making it a logical center for Authority administration.

EtiiIVEstarraPtyLtd_zps2402727b.jpg

Estarra Pty. Ltd. is an umbrella corporation that helps consolidate and organise the legal businesses of the Hutt Cartel, originally the Ona'bak Retrade. Founded by Jack Tamblyn in 1003ABY, four years after he completed his Masters of Business Management from the Coruscant University, the company was quickly snapped up, and Jack was recruited by the Retrade for his awe-inspiring business model and do-or-die business ethics. Before long, Estarra Pty. Ltd. began registering subsidiary companies, and to date, is the tip of an iceberg containing nearly twenty-five thousand other corporations ranging from public service, to casinos, hotels, and medical centres.

Estarra's main office is located in one of the planet's few seaside areas, and is of the latest technological design. Naturally, as the business headquarters of the Ona'bak Retrade, currently the Hutt Cartel, security is highly advanced, and nearly no non-Hutt people have seen the interior of the building. Predictably, no physical or digital documentation or data exists linking Estarra Pty. Ltd. or any of its affiliates or subsidiaries to any criminal activity of the Hutt Cartel.

EtiiIVEstarraStarMapping_zps00a353c8.jpg

Estarra Star Mapping is a legitimate business that explores various worlds, or sub-contracts to governments or other companies for detailed analysis, topographic and holographic mapping of various planets. Housed inside the Estarra building alongside its parent corporation, Estarra Pty. Ltd., ESM enjoys the technological advances made possible by EPL's financial backing. The company is often used as means of passing through inter-governmental borders, but rarely as a smuggling front.

Space Faring
Whilst the Ona'bak Retrade holds many planetary assets, it also holds a sizeable amount of resources in the way of space-faring vessels and establishments. These locations are often on the move, and are typically the only places where any documentation of the Retrade's operation actually exists. It is due to the sensitivity of these assets that they are often well guarded, or completely inconspicuous.

Because of the Retrades secrecy, all of it's space faring vessels have now become the possession of the Cartel. Now used as mobile bases, their defenses are still high and powerful, though it serves no purpose to hide the Cartel's documentation. Many of these vessels are used as public transportation for Cartel members only.

the_epic_rumor_by_lordhaseoanimevice-d34c8gb.jpg

[thread=43722]Gambler's[/thread] Utopia is a Cockaigne-class Dreadnought that serves as a mobile Deep Space Center of the Galactic Trader's Coalition that was funded by Addipos the Hutt. It serves as a trading hub and shadow port to numerous visitors. Some of its sectors are off-limits to the majority of visitors. The reason for this is because of illegal business that takes place on the dreadnought, specifically Cartel business. It includes quarters and training areas for members. It is guarded by a legion known as "Mastema".

Now that I had a chance to look this over I gotta say that I really like it. I can see where Cassa helped out, and that's a good thing obviously, so let me just ask this. You guys were thinking of adding this to the Database section?

Then do it. One more thing for the next newsletter, which is probably due by now.

We just need to create an arc to increase interest, and promote in the said newsletter. :P

One thing you'll want to do is explain how you still have influence on planets that are controlled by the Sith, such as Dantooine and (most recently, IC) Corellia. It's not really difficult to come up with an explanation, you'll just want to make sure you have one.

We will include that in the newsletter.

Unless there are any objections or anything at all, I'm going to stick this in the database thread.
