Kori was the last to jump aboard the escape pod. While Jago was dealing with the controls and Hannibal was securing the navicomp, the Zeltron had the chance to strap herself in, and grabbed for a handhold just in case. Hannibal's remark made her chuckle nervously, the remark muffled by the helmet somewhat: "You don't say!" And then the pod blasted off.

With the door still open, the Jedi would be treated to a quite a view: the Maw getting smaller and smaller, its tendrils holding on to a half-eaten corvette—almost like a baby holding a bottle—all amidst the explosive inferno and falling debris. The problem was that the Maw and the corvette were getting smaller too quickly. A ripple in the Force indicated that Hannibal was concerned too, and doing something about it. But with all the things he had to focus on, it might not be enough.

Closing her eyes to seal off the "unnecessary" senses, Kori had her consciousness zoom outside the pod. Just like Izel had done at Ryloth, and Talak had done on Coruscant, she would attempt to envelop the pod in a "bubble" of Force—following the pod's general momentum, but tugging against it at the front, slowly but surely...

And then the pod hit the ground; much sooner than it normally would, and much sooner than Kori would've preferred. The jolt was so hard that the Zeltron would've expected to fly out of the pod and hit the ground. The metallic safety harness averted that, but it did press on the duraplast of Kori's armor. For a moment, the Zeltron felt that she and her chestplate became one... And it was anything but a pleasant and painless experience.

Luckily, the worst of it would only last for a few moments. Compared to that, the pod rumbling across Bracca soil and shaking up everyone inside could be considered an amusement ride. Still, that wasn't what Nykoria had signed up for. Grabbing her head with both hands she pulled of the helmet; indigo hair clotted with sweat falling freely on her shoulders as the Zeltron exhaled: "Thank the Force my stomach is empty..."

Jago simply held on, his part for now finished as the pod rocketed away. He could feel his Jedi companions start to do their thing and did their best to slow the pod. The Matukai hated not being able to offer more aid to his allies, but things had rapidly spun out his area of expertise.

So when the pod...landed, Jago went to work to harden the muscles of his arms and legs to soften the impact on his body. He figured at the very least he wouldn't have to make his Jedi friends carry him back to the base camp. When the pod finally came to a rest Jago let himself drop and decided to be the first to extract himself from their escape. "Ugh and people wonder why I hate flying yeah?" He simply fell back on his back and chuckled softly, just happy they all made it out, with the objective no doubt. After a moment he'd stand and dust himself off and give a big smile to his jedi friends. Job well down.

/exit thread.
