Gender: Male
Species: Human
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 165 lbs
Faction: Freelance Smuggler
Homeworld: Onderon

Appearance:
Caleb has light, reddish hair that is usually buzzed close to his scalp on the sides, longer and swept back on the top of his head. A shadow of a beard is usually kept on his chin, with sideburns kept longer. His skin is light and pale, slight brown freckles littering his upper cheeks and nose. His eyes are an olive green. Scars from deep gashes could be seen on his left brow, his ear on the same side missing, replaced with a cybernetic listening box. His chest and arms riddled with various burns. His right hand, lost from a light saber, replaced with a mechanical appendage, covered by a leather brown glove.

His usual attire consists of a brown leather jacket with fortified pauldrons, sleeves pushed up to his elbows. Under his coat he wears a regular black shirt. His pants are a typical grey pant that hugs the legs, the knees seemingly a bit more padded than the rest of the pants. The belt around his waist with a holster on his right, ammo and detonator pouches on the left side. On his feet, he wears a pair of brown leather boots, covered with black spats with accents going up the side of the leg. Covering his right hand, he wears a brown leather glove with a holo-communicator around his wrist on the same hand.

Attributes:
When Caleb picks up a job, he makes sure to get it done to the best of his abilities. Even if that means blasting his way through security droids.
Caleb will remain loyal to his contract, but more so to his friends. Whenever Caleb makes a new friend who trusts him, he will return that trust and always be there for them when they need it. This is especially so after losing his last crew in an accident that he caused. Any friends he makes after that he makes sure to keep around. Despite liking his job, and being good at it, Caleb has always had this feeling deep down that he was eventually meant to be part of something bigger.

Biography:
Caleb grew up in the city of Iziz on the planet Onderon. His father was a member of Onderon's police force, while his mother treated the ill at the medical clinic on the Northern side of the city. Because of his parents higher status in the city, he grew up living quite a fair life. Though, to be fair, he never saw or experienced what the slums of the city looked like. Once he grew old enough, Caleb started to work at the docks with shipping and receiving, eventually moving onto the freighters to help with deliveries.

After a long trip to Naboo to drop off some droid parts, Caleb returned home late to see his mother in tears. After responding to a brawl at the local Cantina, Caleb's father had been killed. What shocked them the most was that it was not a blaster that killed him, but a lightsaber. Witnesses on the scene do not remember much from all the commotion, but merely recall a bright red light piercing through the officer. This lead everyone to believe that it was an undercover Sith that had killed his father. Feeling a deep anger rising in himself, Caleb swore he would do all he could to aid the dying Republic to stop the Sith Empire.

As years went by, Caleb's job went less from transporting usual goods, to smuggling arms and medical supplies to the Jedi and any other Republic Forces still fighting. When running jobs for Sith, he would find ways to steal some of their arms to give to the Republic, or even sabotage. Of course, the crew had ways to cover their tracks so the Sith would not know of their actions. This risky business soon bit them in the ass.

A simple operation to the planet Mustafar, far away from Onderon. The Sith ordered to have a battalion of Assault Droids delivered to them. Caleb and his crew took upon the job. Their droid expert, Sycarion, re-coded all of the droids to attack the Sith upon activation. As the crew landed on Mustafar, they were greeted by a Zabrak Sith, who called himself Darth Mordem. The captain of their crew, Synd, made the quick exchange of credits while the rest of them pushed the large crates filled with the droids off the ship. To their dismay, Darth Mordem was smarter than that, for he wished to have the droids tested before they left. As his troops released a droid from the container and activated it, the metal sentient came to life, turning its blaster on the two troops and shooting them dead. The Sith lord activated his lightsaber, and removed the droids head. He then ordered Caleb and his crew to be imprisoned, and to await there for questioning.

Caleb had been sitting in his cell for hours, just waiting for something to happen. Soon enough, two Imperial troops in their black armor shut down the cage, and took Caleb outside, where Darth Mordem was waiting for them. Immediately, the Zabrak reached out his hand, and Caleb found his body flying towards the Sith, the hand wrapped around his neck. He held the man's head over the boiling lava around them, demanding to know where he got the droids, and why they were programmed to attack them. Caleb refused to answer at first, though his head was being pushed closer and closer to the lava. "Last. Chance." Were the only words he heard before his head was jerked closer, his ear dipping into the molten rock. Immediately, Caleb yelled out "1138! That's the code that will override their programming."
He could not hear much after his left ear had been scorched off, but the Sith pulled his head away from the lava and threw him to the ground. He then gave his troops an order, and the men hurried off.

Caleb stood there, looking at the four other members of his crew standing across from him. Two Imperial troops were doing a reset of the droids, and altering their parameters to fight for them once again. "Activate the droids." he heard Mordem say, "We need to.. test their capabilities." With Mordem's order, six droids came to life and stepped forward, blasters at the ready. Caleb stared into the courageous eyes of his crew as they were shot down in front of him. The Sith laughed before turning to Caleb, "For giving us the code, I will spare your life and let you free.. Only that you swear to never double cross us again. Others.. won't be so merciful." Caleb nodded his head frantically. "Good." The Sith said, reaching out a gloved hand with long fingers to shake Caleb's hand. Hesitantly, Caleb took the hand, to which Mordem responded with activating his lightsaber, severing Caleb's hand. "I couldn't let you get away without some form of punishment."

Escaping back to his ship, Caleb took off for the nearest medical station, where he had his wounds tended too. They covered his scorched ear with a listening box, and his hand with a mechanical one.

Years later, Caleb has continued to work as a freighter pilot, sometimes smuggling goods for the right price. Messing with the Sith was not on his agenda anymore, at least until it was the right time.

Description:

"This here's a SoroSuub SSK Heavy Blaster. It's cut for a quick draw and got a hair-trigger. I call it "Flashy". Flashy can bulls-eye a savrip between the eyes five times before the critter even knows it's dead." ~ Corso Riggs
  • Scope
  • Removable barrel
  • Blue blaster bolts

Intent:
(Flashy is a blaster I incorporated from the blaster of the same name in The Old Republic MMO.) The SoroSuub SKK Heavy Blaster pistol was created as a side arm that could be used to get out of any situation when need be. Small enough to be concealed, especially with a removable barrel, 'Flashy' is the perfect blaster for any smuggler who usually runs into trouble on the job.

Nice character you've got here! Mind if I give a few suggestions?

First, you mention that an Imperial base on Mustafar sent a squadron of fighters to take down Caleb's ship, but that his ship crashed on Hoth. Not only are those not the same planet, but the chances of surviving long on Hoth, passed out, are very low.

Second, if the Sith have experience with Caleb giving them faulty goods, why would he take more jobs from them? Earlier you state that since the Republic fell, he has been taking more jobs from the Sith. Not only is that unlikely because of what you mentioned in his bio, you also said that he's promised to aid in the Sith's downfall. It's a bit confusing why he would take jobs with people who hate him and who he hates, when factions like the Mandalorians and Insurgency would fit his goals much better.

Last, I'm not sure if your SoroSuub SKK Heavy blaster pistol is generic tech or would require a write up, so I'm going to tag @Loco for that.

Anyways, the rest of the character looks great! If you feel like RPing, send me a PM and I could probably do a thread with my Mando, Ji'Kel if you wanted. Welcome to the site!

@Caleb Del'Fin Welcome! Nice character too

As for the pistol, due to tech rules, they can hold 20 shots max. 70 shots is more shots than most blaster rifles on here. I think.

Yeah, i see where I went wrong. I have a small change that'll fix all of that, which i will edit tomorrow. Thanks for the input!

As for the blaster, I missed that part in the tech rules for Ammo caps. I was just going by what it said for some
canon blaster pistols on wookiepedia. Will fix it tomorrow as well as add in an Intent if needed

It's no problem. We are set 1000 years before the events of Episode 1. So weaponry is a lot less advanced than what it is 1000 years in the future.
