There was no mistaking the storm that hung over the blackened skies of Bal’demnic - sending down sheets of rain and bolts of lightning with equal intensity, crackling across the surface of raging seas. It was a dark and unnatural thing. A consequence of the corrupted Nexus that was nestled deep within the subterranean caverns of the otherwise modest, Mid-Rim planet.

Whatever it had become over millennia, the world had once been a site of ancient Sith knowledge and power - and with Ziost and Korriban inaccessible, it was the most suitable alternative for Darth Tempest’s objective.

Having left her ship several meters behind, the Dark Lord slowly made her way across a natural stone bridge - winding across the tempestial ocean on either side of her. Her features were concealed behind the signature armor that she had adopted since claiming her title, while a ornate lightsaber hilt hung from her belt. It was not one that the half-Annfyn had designed or shaped for herself, but rather the very same that had been peeled from the corpse of Indyana Sati. (@Killa Ree)

For months, the weapon of the Jedi Master had remained a trophy within the Dark Lord’s ship - decorating a wall with other artifacts. After their ‘walk of shame’ from Junction, only now did Tempest find a real use for the blade. It was worthless to her in its current state - but that would soon change.

As the rain poured and battered against her cloak, Tempest couldn’t help but consider everything that had occurred over the past few months. Her escape from ISC custody had lingered at the forefront of her mind for a myriad of reasons - and yet the answers she needed remained just out of reach. What real reason did the President have for allowing her escape? It would never be stated and were was nothing to suggest such.. But the half-Annfyn knew if Emryc had wanted to keep her a prisoner, he would have. It was a chilling thought to consider - especially with the knowledge of who the man truly was.

Her thoughts turned to Altair (@Sreeya) - lingering on the Warmaster as they so often did. Despite the falling out between them, his presence at the prison had ignited a spark of something deep within the half-Annfyn. A hope that perhaps they could put the worst of things behind them, and the relationship they had could be mended. A hope that had only turned to ashes with his decision to kill both Trelain and the Empress, expelling the Sith from Imperial territory. It was a point of no return, and it closed the door on anything that could have been. Both of them had chosen their sides - and there was no turning back from it.

As abruptly as they arrived, the Dark Lord pushed all of those thoughts to the back of her mind - her attention fixing back to the path ahead. Wordlessly, she stood at the edge of a jagged rock riding up from the seabed - standing defiantly against the waves that threatened to swallow it. Just across the water, she could clearly see the dark cliffs that rose up like a wall of obsidian. After every bit of research and scouring, there was no question the entrance to the temple was nestled there.

Slowly but surely, Tempest allowed her gaze to flick downward - settling upon the raging depths below her feet. Just as her hand extended towards the ground, the Dark Lord reaching out into the Force - seizing and bending the Dark Side to her will. It manifested as tendrils of energy that spread across the surface and pierced down all the way to the seabed - forcing the water to split in opposite directions with a flex of her hand.

As if suspended by twin walls of transparisteel, Tempest held the ocean back - just enough to form a narrow channel across the seabed and towards the temple in the distance. At her feet, the clear etching of stairs was visible carved into the rock and ocean floor - clear indicators of those who had walked the path before.

Once more her gaze settled upon the temple in the distance, just as she began to take those first steps down the stairs.
