Alyse rubbed her bloodshot eyes as she looked up from her work, her tired gaze shifting over towards the wall mounted chronometer, barely being able to read it's face with the flickering of the amber burning flame of the kerosene lamp, reflecting off of the glass front. The blonde haired Sith set down her feather quill and rubbed life back into each of her cramping wrists and aching hands. Before, leaning down and blowing gently onto the parchment before her, attempting to speed up the drying out of the ink. The heavy paper ruffled and drifted, carried by the currents of air being propelled by her breath, with a light groan, the young female swung a hand out to slam down on the stack of parchment before it blew off the side of the table. Once the stack had been secured, Alyse placed the recently completed sheet to the top of a stack of papers that had built up on the edge of her desk. A light sigh escaping her lips as she grabbed a clean sheet to continue with her research, before leaning back in her chair to stretch out her tightening back. With a sigh of completion she glanced around the room, taking in the sight of the small but growing library of scriptures that she had collected over the past year.

Within the secluded study of her modest accommodation, the blonde haired Sith had spent the best part of her time hidden away in the dimly lit chamber, surrounded by the company of her collected books, tomes and scriptures and the ever present amber flickering of the kerosene lamps dotted around the desk and main thoroughfare out of the study. Whilst her current guest had previously voiced her growing concern over how the Sith Guardian appeared to spend most of her waking hours within the study, to Alyse in her eyes she had put the time to good use. Being born into a family that was on the outer fringes of political influence within the Governance that rulled over Bakura, Alyse was raised to be a prolific reader, at first it was everything from fictional novels to school books, but as she grew older her interests moved towards politics and galactic history. Now however her attention and focus was centred around the various galactic myths and fables, that stemmed from the Galaxy's ancient history. Many of which was often jotted down word for word in her own personal journal, finding that where she had transcribed everything into paper, it made life infinitely easier whenever she wanted to revisit and annotate the ever growing compilation of Galactic lore.

Her current project was more ambitious. In the wake of bringing down the temple of the cult that had grown misguided by the deceit of the self Proclaimed Prophet of the Sith, s he had stolen for herself all the witten knowledge and sacred tomes of the Sith cult that she could. Even before she brought the temple crumbling down in her fiery wrath, she had previously ransacked the library for everything she could carry so she could absorb all the knowledge of the Darkside that she could, most of which was held within her room what amounted the sum of all her available knowledge of the Sith ancient and current. Alyse's intent was to pour over all the contents, reading between the lines looking for the slightest clue that might give her lead to the location of where some of the knowledge thought lost to the Sith could be recovered.

She glanced at a stack of papers, each one with a picture, painstakingly drawn with quill and ink, showing an archaic looking solar constellation or an obsqure system, that for all she knew lay hidden out in unknown regions, then again some could point towards the core worlds that had since been irreparably changed due to one of many galactic shifting events that took place over the millennia of recorded time. It had taken her weeks, but she had finally broken the back of capturing every obscure looking foot note she had encountered. Sat next to the stack of parchment sat various holopads and data chips, containing various star charts, one of which was stat slowly orbiting within a lightly shimmering blue projected orb that sat off to the side. The thought crossed Alyse's mind that it would have been much quicker to have a droid transpose them to a computer bank, but it somehow seemed likely that the droid be too literal in it's analysis. A risk that the subtle meanings would be over looked by the droid, which to her would be sacrilege to have the keys to such ancient and important knowledge overlooked by the cold processors of the encumbant protocol droid. .And so she kept reading, reading and writing, reading, writing, and meditating over what she read, trying to understand the hidden meanings to the words her Sith Ancestors had written.

Then again despite the countless hours whiled away within the flickering shadows, there was the hope that she could venture out of the confines of her secluded lodgings, and follow on some of the potential leads she had scribbled away within her journal. Even an exchange with the Sith Legionaire who had taken up residence with her would be welcomed, despite their stark differences.

Light, padded footsteps pitter-pattered across the hallway of the ancient household. The soft creaking of wooden flooring echoed through the silence of the Bakuran night. The flickering light of a single lamp beat back against the prevailing shadows. It wasn't unusal for Trinity forgo sleep in light of exploration, especially in a place as foreign and unusual as this. It wasn't that she felt in any way threatened by her surroundings, rather she was interested in finding who it was exactly that had harboured her. In many ways the house reminded her of her old home back on Naboo yet there were some clear differences. For one, it was better furnished and through the Force she could sense the connections that it had fostered. Soft thuds resounded as her sock-clad feet descended the staircase, her one hand rested gently on the railing and the other tracing the frames of all the pictures that hung across the wall. Her amber eyes scanned each of them, soaking in every face, every expression. Immediately she recognised one of the figures, young, blonde. She raised her index finger from the frames, a thin layer of dust had gathered atop. Clearly very little attention was paid to keep the place clean. Trinity wondered if anyone else still lived here alongside the strange woman.

It had been almost a week since she had received word from the Sith Eternal, their last message was to seek out this place and lay low until further notice. Since becoming an assassin for the dark order, Trinity had lost her taste for the sedentary life, never staying in one place for too long. It was only natural that she keep moving both to sate her impatient mind and to further her journey towards finding what was taken from her. Nevertheless she would obey. As she reached the foot of the staircase her eyes snapped to another source of light that flickered from across the corridor. A door stood slightly ajar and from within, a faint light escaped.

Silent as a stalking loth-cat she approached, dimming her own lamp. The rough scratching sounds of pen to paper catching her ears. Trinity peered into the small sliver of space that the open door allowed. Through the small gap she saw glimpses of paper strewn across tables, a lone lamp was placed amongst piles of books. A slight push of the door revealed the woman sitting at a table in the center of the room, engrossed in her writing. Strange, Trinity thought. At first she considered knocking on the door to alert the woman of her presence yet decided against it. Instead she slunk through the door, making sure not to give off a creak or groan from the delapidated hinges. Her feet glided over the carpetted flooring, maneuvering around the papers as if it were a minefield and one wrong step spelled the end. Quietly she poked her head over the shoulder of the blonde girl, her eyes trying to make sense of what it was she was so focused on. "What are you doing?" Trinity's voice was jarring against the ambient setting. Her stone-faced expression was distorted by a single raised eyebrow.

Slowly, looking up from the book that her attention had been pouring over, the blonde Sith raised an inquisitive eyebrow, as she looked over the dark haired girl through the corner of her eye, before turning her head round to make a clean visual connenction with the recently acquainted Legionnaire. Setting the worn down, blue spin
ned book face down onto the old dark wood surface of her desk, so to prevent the pages flipping back to thier natural position, so that she lost the page she was reading. A stoic expression lingering over the blonde Sith's features for a moment, before a light smile curled at the edges of her lips. "Research mostly" Alyse responded initially, before letting out a light yawn as she briefly stretched out her arms to the side, in a vain attempt to work out the ever growing knots in her muscles.

"Pouring through myths and fables" The blonde Sith continued before nodding her head in gesture to the collection of books that looked to be for the best part a collection of children's stories that had been collected from across the galaxy "There are some parallels to the Sith noted within these cautionary stories intended for children" Alyse added with a brief flicker of enthusiasmn, creating into her dead pan expression. "stories like the Dark Wraith, with a dark black skull, flowing cloaks of the darkest night and Fiery red sword of light that would come and take away children who misbehaved" the Guardian continued as a wry emile curled at the edge of her lips, her mind recalling the countless times her parents had cited the Wraiths wrath whenever she had stepped out of line, before pausing slightly in though and stretching a hand out to summon over a stray book sitting atop a pile of parchment. And, flicking through the pages at a practiced speed, before she offered the opened book to her guest.

"The story of the crying statue of Moraband" Alyse spoke, as a slender finger drew the attention of the dark haired lass to an aged picture of a life like looking stone effigy of a robed Twi'lek, eternally trapped in a position of terror and fear. "I suspect that it's not some devine statue, but a result of an ancient Sith Achlemy technique, that could turn flesh into stone" she explained as a light glimmer of excitement flashed in her eyes, the thought at the prospect of potentially uncovering

The brief spark of excitement, faded as Alyse cast an inquisitive glance towards the chronometer, before returning her attention to Trinity. "You're up late? Is your accommodation is suitable for your needs?" she inquired, casting the dark haired woman a curious look. Admittedly she was caught off guard when word had gotten to her from the enigmatic defacto leader of the Sith, telling her to expect and prepare for the arrival of another of the Cults members. Yet for what purpose and the nature of the guests arrival, was stept in mystery - just the words to the effect of expect the arrival of her peer and accommodate her.

As the blonde guardian went on to speak about the research she was conducting, Trinity started to page through a few of the parchments that adorned the desk. Inane writings and diagrams were scribbled over them and it didn’t take long to realise that there was no way she could even hope to interpret them. Alyse carried on, describing the parallels between children’s stories and ancient Sith History. Trinity didn’t care much for fictional tales in honesty, from them she derived no purpose nor satisfaction. If she were to sit down to read it would most likely have pertained to school work from her childhood. Since her life as an assassin started, now all she would read is a report or a new set of instructions.

0f7WEh7.jpg
Trinity sauntered over to the bookshelves lining the wall, her hands flicking between dusty tomes whose titles all sounded as ridiculous as the stories they portrayed. “I believe I’ve met one of those ’dark wraiths’ before.” She commented nonchalantly, “I must have done something truly terrible.” She turned over her shoulder and shot Alyse a malicious smile. A bit of humor to relax tensions between the two she reasoned. Trinity was intrigued to find out more about this woman, she would surely be more receptive when relaxed.

The hand of the raven haired assassin paused on a singular tome, bound in aged black leather, the title was half worn away but a few broken words could be made out. D rk Tid n s of Dath m r. Trinity’s fingers pried the book from its resting place and she began flicking through its yellowed pages. Alyse probed her in regards to the living conditions. Having lived on a few hundred credits at a time for the past few years, this would probably amount to the best accommodation she‘d received in years. Despite that she’s never sought luxury, “it’s... quaint.” she replied warmly. Pictures of rituals and other forms of dark imagery filled the pages of the book she had chosen, her hands clamped the book shut, a subsequent dust cloud erupted into Trinity’s face. “Very *cough* homely.”

A soft smile subtly crossed the blond female's features, as she listened to Trinity remark about meeting her own 'dark wraith'. A light chortle passing her lips at the thought, seemed she wasn't the only one to have encountered another of the Force sensitive members of the Sith cult, wielding a lightsaber. The light expression softening into a pensive look as her mind traced back to the self proclaimed Gotal Sith Prophet, her mentor Locura. The lies and deception that he had wrought into the Sith cult that she had been brought up within, the intent to have her trained and exploited as part of his ill fated plan to stake a claim to ruling the Sith - a plan that like the rest of the cult was reduced to ashes in the wake of Alyse's revenge.

Her musing was pulled away as she watched the dark haired female, wander over towards the various bookshelves that lined the walls of her study, retrieve a book and thumb through the pages stained yellow with age. A curious eyebrow arching up as she observed Trinity leaf through the various pages, wondering what had peaked her interest, before she shook her head slightly as the dark haired lass commented on her home. A light nod in acknowledgement came, before a slight smile curled at the edge of her lips as she watched a cloud of dust wash over the Legionaire's features.

"Thats good" Alyse commented, as she offered a piece of cloth to the dark haired woman to wipe away the dust if she needed. "Though I must admit I was surprised to have received word from The Eternal, to expect your arrival" she continued as a pensive expression crossed her features. She couldn't deny the fact that the circumstances behind Trinity's relocation to the relatively backwater planet of Bakura, was unexpected to say the least. Part of her wondered whether it was as consequence of her razing the deluded temple to the ground, that somewhere in the ever watching eyes of the upper echelons of the Eternal Cult she had garnered their attention, for better or worse - time would tell. "Had they given any indication as to why you were to come to Bakura?" she inquired, curious to hear what details if any Trinity had been given.

An overwhelming sensation spread across Trinity's face causing her to squint her eyes and wrinkle her nose, she quickly accepted the offered handkerchief and unleashed the daintiest sneeze into it. As she opened her mouth to thank Alyse for the gesture it was interrupted by yet another sneeze, this time she failed to block her nose with the cloth and the particles shot forth towards the blonde guardian. Trinity's hand quickly extended, the minute droplets of liquid hung mid air, then moving slowly into the cloth where they belonged. "How... Uncouth of me." She said apologetically. In truth it was Alyse's fault entirely, if the place hadn't been so dusty Trinity would not be suffering such a major reaction. She offered the mucous-filled cloth back to Alyse with a smile and a nod of thanks.

Alyse went on to ask about Trinity's arrival and what it was she was tasked to do. The amber-eyed assassin paused for a second, trying to recall exactly what her orders had been. Travel to Bakura, they had sent, there you will find Alyse Ti'Varnus. You are to remain under her care there until further orders are given, report back regularly on your status. That was all they had provided her, and while she had been sending in reports, she had received little to no confirmation in return. Trinity looked back towards the bookshelves, her hands riding up and down the leather cover of the book she had taken, she raised her shoulders slightly in the form of a shrug. "No indication that I can think of. Usually they keep me moving around the core worlds but for some reason they wanted me here." She turned back to Alyse, walking up to her table, placing the book down and leaning both hands against it. "That being said I'm sure there's a good reason," she said with fierce determination, "and I know better than to disobey orders."

Trinity dropped down to her haunches until their eyes were level. Amber locking with amber. She would begin an analysis of her features as she asked the next question. Making sure to take in every minute detail. "Why do you think they sent me here?" Her voice was warm and curious, "Surely there isn't too much excitement in a place like this."

Gingerly taking the returned used swatch of cloth that her guest had handed back to her, her eyebrow arching up slightly in bemusement. Before lightly shrugging it off, her gaze turning to the mucus laden cloth as she turned her hand around, using the Force to levitate the rag slightly above her hand. Her amber gaze locking with Trinity's as she explained the reasoning behind her being dispatched to Bakura, there was no known reason as to why Trinity had been sent, though the later part of her response and her turning the discussion round onto whether Alyse knew anything, did get the young cultist to sigh a little. "Perhaps we best adjourn to somewhere more comfortable" Aylse spoke out, as she raised up from her seat, shortly before her hand erupted in a bright blue flame, that engulfed the used tissue, seering it into Ash in a bright blue light - before reaching her hand off the the side and sprinkled the Ash particles onto the potted soil of a wilting plant.

Leading the dark haired female out of the study and through a winding corridor, the sounds of footsteps periodically being Interrupted by the creaking of an aged wooden floor board. The blonde haired cultist made her way in silence towards the living room of the aged and dust Manor. "Take a seat" Alyse spoke as she, gestured towards a group sofas arranged in a horseshoe around a large open fire place. Before tentatively stepping aside a burnt out cleaning droid, it's lifeless casing marked and pitted with scaring distinctive to that of an electrical shock.

Leaving Trinity to make herself comfortable, Alyse opened up an ornate looking glass fronted cabinet, retrieving two high stem fluted glasses, and a bottle of crimson liquid, before making her way towards the arangment of sofas. A squeeky sounding pop echoed throughout the room, as the blonde haired female removed the Cork from the neck of the bottle, before pouring out two glasses of the fermented Crimson grape juice. Handing one over to Trinity before taking her seat oppoosite from her guest.

Her attention shifted away from the dark haired guest and towards the dormant fire, which in response to a slight flick of the blondes wrist erupted into a homely crackling fire. "You are right, there isn't much excitement here on Bakura, we're so far out on the fringes most turn a blind eye to this world" Alyse spoke as she swirled her wine around the glass, airating it artificially before raising it up to her face, before taking a sniff of the wine and then continued to swirl the liquid further. "Compared to the core. We're a back water world with little much in term of trade beyond the repulsor lift factories" She continued, resting back fully against the padding of the sofa, her free arm draping itself along the top of the headboard.

"Alot can take place here before any one would care to take notice, I was raised pretty much from birth to live and breath the teachings of the Sith, even my education was focused around the absolute rule of authoritative law" the blonde continued before pausing for a moment to take a sip from her wine. "Many of those who hold positions of influence here come from the same back ground as they had for generations, at first I thought it was nothing more than pure nepotism, family members inheriting job positions from thier parents. Family members giving favours to relatives lobbying for power. Even some wedding into a family of higher standing so to advance thier fathers position within the governance" she added with a sigh, followed up with another mouthful of wine.

"Well that was what I thought, until I was sixteen. It turned out that most of those who advanced within the world's society, all came from a certain temple. One that perhaps was derived from the Sith Eternal of old, but nether the less they were darkside cultists. Lead by a Gotal, who fancied himself as the true Prophet of the Sith" Alyse resumed, despite her features being deadpan serious, there was an underlying bitterness to her tone, that intensified at the mention of the Gotal. "He called himself Locura, and he had paid particular interest in myself, seeing a potential in me that would him unrivaled" she continued, before her lips curled into a discusted snear. "He trained me in the ways of the Force and the power of the darkside for three years, seeking to pull out the fullest of my destructive potential" the blonde cultist continued, before falling silent fir a moment, to take another mouthful of wine. "but that power he was coveting, imploring me to harness, was not for myself but for him. He had plans, misguided ones. of using my gifts as a means for him to proclaim himself the true ruler of the Sith. When I refused he attempted to force choke the life out of me and left me for dead" she added, before a light smirk crossed the edges of her features, as she leant forwards.

Her amber gaze looking directly into Trinity, as a candid smile crossed her features. "Lucura had forgotten the basic fundaments of the Sith code , especially if he sought to proclaim himself the next dark Lord. He had forgotten that unless the victory is achieved by demonstrating that your own power is superior, then that victory is only an illusion." Alyse spoke, giving a knowing look to Trinity. Before resting back against her seat. "In the two years that followed, I remained in the shadows, harnessing my anger, perfecting it like an aged delectable wine. Then I returned to the temple, offering the followers the opportunity for them to see through the deceit that Locura had poisoned thier minds with. But they stood by the false claims of the so called darklord. Lost to his lies, Locura, his blinded followers and his temple were razed to the ground, where only Ash would be the traces that remained." Alyse concluded, before she reached over to top up her wine.

While Trinity did not understand the purpose of changing scenery, she didn't detest and followed Alyse into the next room. Her eyes doing one last sweep of the papers and books that covered all surfaces. Her passion was undeniable, Trin pondered at what such passion, such drive must feel like. Perhaps she would one day... Perhaps not. She followed the gestured instructions of the blonde cultist and seated herself down on one of the assorted sofas that circled the fireplace. Her backside sank into the upholstery to a point bordering on discomfort. After a small session of awkward shifting around in her chair she finally gave in to its hold. Her nose caught the musty smell of the fabrics as well as the oxidised metallic smell emanating from the broken droid that lay dysfunctional on the carpet. The unnatural blackened marks strewn across its casing signifying something more powerful than a simple converter short. Trinity paid it no mind.

Amber eyes tracked the guardian as she moved across the living room, still trying to determine her nature and intention. She watched as she filled the two glasses, her actions were smooth and showed signs of a grace groomed from a young age. She was familiar with this air of aristocracy all too well. Accepting the outstretched glass of wine with a thankful nod and a wry smile, she proceeded to raise the glass to her mouth and tipped it just far enough for the liquid to meet her lips, leaving them a slightly darker shade of pink. The taste was mildly bitter yet it still retained some of its fruity flavour. Trinity knew not why she bothered to hold on to arbitrary traditions such as wine tasting. To her any type of alcohol was just a means to dull the mind and relieve pain. What it tasted like was irrelevant. "It's lovely," she exclaimed with a raise of the glass.

Once both women had settled down, Alyse began to speak. She would go on to recount her life. She started with her early life and education, leading into her induction into the Sith Eternal cult, her manhandled power and finally, the destruction of the sect here on Bakura. Trinity's eyes narrowed and shot up and down Alyse's figure, inspecting every fibre of her. This woman single-handedly wiped out the Sith Eternal presence here? She thought in disbelief. She shook away the doubt, if what the blonde guardian said was true, then Trin would commend her on her actions. Treason against the Eternal is punishable by a swift end. "Well that is quite the revenge arc," she said in jest. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't impressed... And slightly jealous." She retorted with a smirk. Trin took another sip from her glass before placing it down on the table. "Perhaps then I'm here to watch over you, should 'Locura's' ghost come haunting'." In honesty, Trinity had a newfound respect for Alyse, more than a bookworm, less than a bird, she decided. Trinity would be sure to log this story in her report. She leaned back in her chair, allowing herself to sink further into the sarlacc pit that was her seat. "So then, Alyse. What is your plan going forward from this... Debacle?" She said with an extravagant flourish of her hand, her face dead-set stone. "What mysteries have your fables uncovered?"

Slowly retreating back into the padding of the sofa cushions, her eyes lingering over Trinity for a moment as she responded and reacted to the chain of events that might have played a part in her being dispatched to Bakura. Slightly tilting her head off the side as the dark haired legionnaire posed that she was there to watch over her in case Locura's ghost came back, to 'haunt' her. A curious notion, though one that did make the blonde cultist wonder whether there was a double meaning behind those words, part of her suspected that said ghost was to be the repercussions of her actions that would come her way - directed from the faceless entity within the cultist circles known only by the Eternal, or even those who still hold their allegiances to the false prophet.

Pursing her lips in thought as Trinity questioned what her plans was moving forward, the blonde haired cultist turned her gaze onto the swirling crimson liquid, her eyes narrowing as she focused her thoughts. Meditating on the swirling wine, contemplating on her intentions. Like the state of her accommodation would give away, the young cultist's attention was split into so many different trains of thought, countless avenues of investigation, research and study - all ultimately lead to the penultimate goal of restoring the Sith back to their rightful place in the Galaxy, gathering the lost knowledge of the dark lords from years gone by. But to the best part, to the outside eye it was organised chaos.

Bringing the glass of wine up to her lips, as she concluded her thoughts, Alyse took a long sip of wine, before lowering the glass and letting it rest upon her lap. Her chestnut hued eyes locking with Trinity's "The First step is to correct the mistakes of Locura and his blinded followers" Alyse spoke out, as a wry smile crept at the side of her lips, that did little to hide the steely stern expression that was held over her features "For too long those in the thrall of the Sith on this planet had been lead astray, grown stagnant by the false self serving teachings of the false prophet. I will correct their foolish actions" she continued, pausing slightly to direct her gaze out of the partially shuttered window, focusing in on the distant lights of the towering structures within the capital city. "If we are to ever to see the return of the natural order to the Galaxy, then our focus should be on drawing upon the desire for change and self empowerment. I intend to first bring those who are still faithful back to the teachings of Empress Andraste, use their influence within this planet's governance to finally contribute to the greater goals of the Sith, rather than it be squandered on the self serving interests of the misguided" Alyse summised before taking a long sip from her wine, her attention slowly moving back to the dark haired assassin.

"As for the fables, there are many possible leads. There is a tale of some pirates that sought to exploit the charity of a stranger, intending to rob her blind after she fed and watered them" Alyse continued, addressing Trinity's second inquiry about her research and studies. "Whilst they were successful in stealing items of value, they found that both the possessions they had stolen from the woman, and others had disapearred" she elaborated, before pausing slightly, her brow furrowing in thought. "There was mention that the old woman's kind had been lost, which when coupled with the disappearance of the stolen items. I have suspicions that this old charitable stranger, was a Nightsister who had survived the attack on Dathomir" the blonde concluded, before taking another sip from her wine. "I just need to read a few different versions of the fable, to see if there is mention of a planet, the only locations that are given is a boggy forest world, but if can find where this is, then there is a chance that some of the lost Nightsister magiks can be recovered"

The way Alyse spoke with such determination and fierce loyalty to the Sith Eternal gave Trinity pause for thought. To her it seemed so strange that someone could remain so devoted to a cause that had almost sacrificed her, yet here she was preaching the teachings of Andraste, willing to kill to enforce them. While Trinity was obedient to the order, for her it was a means to further her own goal, to her the Sith Eternal offered a chance for her to find what was lost. Their teachings however, all those arduous lessons about hate, rage, despair... It all went straight over her head. Trin tapped the edge of wine glass with her index finger while she pondered silently as Alyse continued to talk. Perhaps this 'Alyse' truly was indoctrinated by the Sith Eternal and her intentions are true... Or perhaps she has an ulterior motive somewhere underneath, one more selfishly-inclined. Trinity would have to investigate further.

The blonde guardian began regaling Trin about the latest and greatest of her research findings. The tale was about a lone dathomirian witch that had somehow survived the culling of their people during the clone wars. Trinity had only heard faint ramblings of the event, many of the details had been lost to faulty memory. While at first the raven-haired assassin remained in a laid-back position in her chair, barely taking in any of the information spewing from Alyse's mouth, the mention of the last few sentences immediately pricked up her ears. Trinity sat forward in her chair, her amber eyes now narrowing onto Alyse's face. Nightsister magiks, she thought inquisitively, I wonder if those harbour the answers to my questions. "These Nightsister magiks you speak of." Trinity began, "Do you happen to know what their capabilities are?"

Whether or not the blonde guardian knew the answer to that question, this was a lead that Trinity was determined to follow up on. Perhaps this most... Unassuming of missions was not to be fruitless after all. Even though she had to 'remain under the care' this bookworm, the Sith Eternal never specified that she had to remain on Bakura.

A thoughtful expression crossed the blonde cultist's features as Trinity questioned her about what she knew of the Nightsister magiks, whilst the information that she had on their abilities was, sketchy at best. She had managed to piece together a loose understanding of the powers and gifts that the natives of Dathomir wield. Silently Alyse mulled over her collected knowledge, her gaze moving away from the dark haired female and onto her wine. Her lips pursing momentarily before she brought the glass up to her lips, and drawing another sip from her glass. "The Dathomiri Magiks are varied" Alyse commented, as she withdrew her glass rested the stem against her lap.

"From what I have been able to piece together from the texts I possess, the Dathomir regard their magiks as they are a spiritual power" Alyse continued, with a light thoughtful expression on her features. "But there are some of the scriptures that suggest that these spiritual powers they wield are infact derivations of the Darkside. Most even draw very close parrallels, however the Nightsisters appear to summon their abilities through incantation and rituals." Alyse added before taking another mouthful from her wine, her brow furrowing as she racked her mind further over the fragments of knowledge that she had committed to memory.

"But there are some abilities that the Dathomir appear to have mastered, whether there is any grounding or truth to them or not, I can't say for certain." the blonde cultist resumed, as she swirled the crimson fluid about in her glass. "But there was mention of spiritual artefacts, like totems or warding stones, that allows the user to pull upon abilities that cannot be readily achieved through the Force. Abilities that could render them invisible to the naked eye, undue the effects of time upon the flesh, allow one to change their physical form or even grant the ability to raise the dead" Alyse concluded, her words trailing off towards the end. The ability to raise and reanimate the dead, seemed to be one perhaps too far fetched to truly believe. The powers of the dark-side were vast and immeasurable for sure, but to bring long dead, rotting corpses back to life - seemed to be even beyond the dark abilities of the Force.

It was clear to the young assassin that Alyse had already delved deep into researching the nightsister witch and their culture and while her answer did not satisfy Trinity's inquisitive mind, she was still determined to find out more. To harness abilities beyond that of the force was something foreign to her as she could barely even comprehend the extent of the Force itself. Trin raised herself from her seat, glass in hand and crossed the room to where the opened wine bottle stood. She filled the glass generously, stopping only moments before it reached the brim. "Well count me intrigued." She replied..

Trin took a large sip from the glass and approached the blonde guardian, "I'd be more than willing to help you follow up on this little venture of yours." Trinity's amber eyes focused on the crimson liquid as it swirled in her glass. "You see, I myself am looking for something." She continued. Deciding to finally drop her guise, Trinity's features lost all semblances of emotion. "Well, more so I'm looking to fix something." In order to avoid sounding utterly vague she went on to explain as best she could. "As it so happens, I appear to be... Without. Without what some would consider an integral facet of what it means to be alive. Feelings, emotions, sensations, whatever you want to call it, I don't have it. Like an empty shell or like a defective droid." She gestured towards the rusted pile of scrap metal in the corner of the room. Her eyes locked back on Alyse, "But as you see, I am alive." She outstretched her arms and took a deep breath as if to prove her statement, "I live, I breathe, I eat, I think and yet I do not feel. Now I'm looking for answers as to why and I believe you can help me."

The raven-haired cultist sat herself back on the sofa and neatly crossed her legs, her face still hard as stone. "So now that we've both shared our deeply personal life stories, I think we can come to a mutually beneficial deal here." Trin lifted her glass as if to allow the blonde guardian to respond.

A light smile crept across the blonde haired cultist's features, as she nodded in acknowledgement of Trinity's acceptance of her proposal and pledging of her support in the cultist's venture to seek out whether there was truth to the legends of the galaxy. Though that was short lived as she observed Trinity rise from her seat and move around the living room, a curious expression crossed Alyse's features as her eyes narrowed whilst tracking the dark haired legionaire's movements. Listening intently as Trinity went on to confess that she appeared to be devoid of any emotions, it was a curious situation, but something that was not unheard of, many would define Trinity as suffering from Alexithymia - which was a curious situation for someone who was embedded within the darkside, being unable to tap into or channel the emotions that fuel their power through the Force

A pensive expression crossed Alyse's features as she watched Trinity sit back down on the sofa, before rounding off that the pair of them could come to a mutually beneficial arrangement with their venture. Before a long sigh escaped the blonde's lips as she raised to her feet, before stepping away from the sofa - pausing in her movements to cast her chestnut hued gaze over the Assassin. "Truth be told, my preference is to enter into partnerships, when the interests are mutually beneficial" Alyse spoke out with a light smile, before stepping away from the sofa and headed back towards the large ornate glass doored cabinet from where she retrieved the original bottle of wine.

The sound of glass clinking rang out from the cabinet as the blonde haired cultist, rumaged through the contents before retrieving a pair of small shot glasses and a small bottle of an luminescent yellow liquid and returning back to the fire side seating. Setting the two glasses down, Alyse turned her attention to opening the small bottle of liquid. "As for your emotions, there is possibly something that we can do about that to begin with" she spoke out before proceeding to pour out two small shots of the yellow liquid. "Bakura, has two key exports; repulsor technology and the fruit of the Namana tree" Alyse continued as she placed a shot glass on the table infront of Trinity. "When the nectar of the fruit is refined into either sweets or in this case liqueurs, it is known to stimulate the pleasure centers of ones brain. Creating the sensation of pleasure and happiness" the added, providing further explanation to nature of the liquid. "If you are unable to feel any form of emotion, then perhaps this may illicit a notable change in your emotions" Alyse concluded before raising her own shot glass and swiftly necking down the sweet liquid.
