A wave of relief washed over Luci once Maura's rainbow hair popped up on her smartpad. Most of her attention stayed on their call while she continued to watch and follow the ISC President from a distance.
"Yeah! He's even bigger in person!" She smiled back at the video feed of her friend, unable to resist feeling a bit of her own youthful side starting to break through again. She held back a bit on letting that shine through though. She was going to be a Knight any day now, and she felt she needed to start acting the way others had been expecting of her.
"No way -- you're here too?!" She tried to restrain some of her excitement, then waved at Layla and Basher even though she didn't seem to have their attention. Luci then stopped behind a tree and waited in the shade as she looked out at President Thorne and the gathering of other Jedi. "I'd love to help! Send me your location!" She then gave a friendly wave to Maura and lowered the device after their call ended.
Luci's pointy ears twitched and tilted forward ever so slightly as she returned her focus back to the ISC President, and to her surprise, Master Tarrell. Luci took a silent and flashless snapshot of the moment, a sneaky little smile on her face. 'Maybe I can get a selfie with him... But what would I say? Hi, my master was the guy that nearly died protecting you here?'
She huffed and looked down at her smartpad, gaze fixed to the man that Zak nearly gave his life to protect. Her smile shrunk, shifted to the side, and twisted. She still wasn't sure if President Thorne was worth the life of her master. It was something she found difficult to accept. Then her ear twitched at Fynn's mention of Zak's name. 'They're talking about him?' A flicker of the heart. The look of worry and suspicion she once had slowly faded to a soft smile.
Luci clutched the smartpad to her chest, her gaze stuck on the President and the other Jedi. The savory aroma of the Orcolan's sizzling meals tempting her to join the crowd. A smile crossed her lips, though she didn't really know why. She just watched for a moment, happy to see that Zak was at least being recognized for his heroic deed. A sense of peace gradually flowed over her.
Then after a couple moments of letting the relaxing feeling soothe her, Luci turned and began to walk away, the smile still on her face as she went to find her friend. She made sure to keep out of sight and take the long way around, trying not to distract the group and draw their attention away from one another.
