The aftermath of the Killik attack on Thyferra had been devastating. Not even taking into account the tremendous loss of life - which pained Hamza's heart very greatly - it had shown the galaxy that one of its most precious resources was vulnerable. The Force had been with the Thyferrians and their heroic defenders, thankfully. The bacta had remained unharmed - but there was still so, so much work to do.

Hamza's shuttle touched down in one of the worst effected areas. The Thyferrians had set up numerous aid stations and other places for people to try to find out if their friends or family hadn't managed to make it through the battle. Thousands of people died in the space battle above the planet and thousands more on the surface - the entire planet was reeling.

Coming down the ramp of the freighter he'd borrowed, Hamza carried a durasteel crate of medical supplies under each of his arms and headed for a nearby medical tent. There was a huge sack on his back that was filled near to the brim with all manner of food that the Jedi had grown himself. It was mostly fresh produce though there were some jogan fruit tarts on top that were only for the kids.

Hamza always had a soft spot for children, and in times like these, he knew especially would need something to lift their spirits. He'd meant to go to Build-An-Ewok to grab some stuffed animals for them too, though he ran out of time. Making a mental note to do that the next time he came back, Hamza continued to heading for the medical tent, leaning over so a few of the tarts would fall out of the sack and into the hands of a couple of forlorn looking kids as he passed by, flashing them a warm smile.

Maura was probably close to having a reputation for being a serial stowaway at this point, and she wasn't planning on stopping anytime soon. Adventure was always - or almost always - the first and foremost thought on her mind, and her personal life motto was "ask for forgiveness, not permission." This time the adventure was a freighter scheduled to go off to Thyferra, and Maura had shimmied her way onto the vessel and down under into the ventilation crawlways. She later learned that the pilot of this particular freighter was Knight Ozdemir, who was absolutely massive. That only tripled the girl's excitement. "It's the big dude!"

It was a couple of days down to Thyferra, so Maura had come prepared. She had ration bars and a bag, but the hard-tack snacks were only so filling. After all, who wanted to eat flavorless beige stuff all the time? So the padawan may have popped in and out to nab food from the knight's kitchen now and then. To eat, and also maybe to bribe the knight's exoboar, Meatball, into letting her pat him on his ugly-in-a-cute-way little head. "Aw, you're such a scrunkly, Meatball."

Days later, the ship landed on Thyferra and Maura made her exit. She followed after Hamza, now totally unconcerned whether or not he spotted her. Though she was absolutely dwarfed by the Orcolan, her rainbow hair got her a little bit of attention at least. She had no idea where they were headed to, but she figured the medical supplies meant this was some sort of relief effort or something.

"Sooo what's the mission? Deliver medical supplies? Save injured people?"

Over the years that the Mercy Ships had been operating, they had managed to grow in size if only a little. Rather than a single ship, there were now two converted frigates and a handful of smaller vessels that could provide medical relief to those in need. And ever since this war had begun, there were people in need.

The problem had only become more amplified by the invasion of the Killiks, and the death they left in their wake was matched only by the Imperial glassings.

While the rest of the ship's crew got set up triaging the wounded and starting to get the ORs started up and the bacta unloaded, Zathria took stock of whatever she could find. She'd heard there were Jedi at the defense and surely some of them had survived. She hoped to find them, and it didn't take her long.

She couldn't say that she'd ever actually met the massive Knight that loomed ahead, but she had seen him around before. It was quite impossible to miss him when he was that size and you'd been in the same room at some point.

I've seen you around the temples before but we've never met. Zathria, she said, extending a hand to the man and then turning her gaze to the smaller one who she had also seen around before but also didn't know. She extended a hand to her as well just because it was polite, though she wondered if the Paddie was really supposed to be here. Well, Zathria wasn't going to be taking the responsibility - or blame - for her.

Thyferra had been one of the few invaded planets courtesy of the Killik bug race. A vast majority of the population on Thyferra had suffered great losses, and Fynn's biggest regret was not being there to defend the people of Thyferra when it was happening. Nonetheless he had arrived to help in any fashion he could. To show that the Jedi are always here to help those in need. Dressed in his expeditionary outfit ready to get to business, Fynn made his way out of his light freighter and onto what was once a large battlefield.

Medical tents were set up in the distance with many refugees being brought to aid and being checked on to see if they were joined. Not much to go off of as far as knowing who is joined, but they were doing their best to find out what they could. Fynn then made his way over to see some familiar faces in Hamza @Logan , Maura @lizziie , and Zathria @Phoenix to make a slight gameplan.

After a double take he took notice to the rainbow colored hair. Fynn wasn't biggest fan of Padawan being here, but it seemed she had two Knights here to look after here so hopefully they had been doing so. He then would greet the group,

"Good morning. I see everyone made it alright. Knights Hamza and Zathria a pleasure as always. And Maura, I'm glad you have the desire to help those in need at such a young age."

This group of Jedi was promising. Hamza being around for a while was well known for being a caring Orc. Fynn was glad to have him here. Zathria a cunning warrior from tales as well as reliable in almost every means. Undoubtedly Fynn was glad to have her here. Then came Maura.. she was a little ball of energy that happened to find herself in sticky situations yet always coming out fine. She has a big heart and even bigger ears. Fynn believe it or not, was glad she was here. Gave the Knights and the Councilor a chance to teach her a thing or two.

"Have we set up a plan just yet?"

Looking to see if the Knights have began practicing their places as leaders. Even if they weren't labeled a Master, they could have the position one day and in order to receive the rank they needed the experience.

As Hamza walked, the sudden pipping up of a small voice caused him absolutely zero surprise. It had become quite evident he'd managed to acquire a stowaway when his food stores were dwindling even faster than they normally did. Not to mention, the little Jedi was starting to get a little bit of a reputation for hopping onto ships where she didn't belong.

Hamza didn't mind, though. It was good for padawans to get out in the field to see the realities of what was happening, but even more to the point, it was good to get them out there helping people. Plus, at least Hamza knew she was eating well. That was the most important thing, after all.

More or less, little one. Hamza said with a smile, peering down at the little rainbow haired Jedi. He jerked his shoulder up so that a tart would fall out of it and into @Maura Starwalk's hands. Also handing out food to people who look hungry, and just letting them know we are here to help them in whatever way we can.

Turning to @Zathria as she introduced herself, Hamza would one of the durasteel crates he was holding on the ground and returned her handshake; his mighty paw dwarfing her hand in an almost comical fashion.

Hamza, he said, returning her greeting with a friendly grin that showed off his tusks.

Before he could say much more, another person approached, and this one Hamza knew though he wasn't particularly familiar with.

I don't think so, Councilor, Hamza said to @Fynn Tarrell with a sheepish shrug of his shoulders. But I figured just being here with our boots on the ground was a good start. What do you think our focus should be?

"Score!" Maura eagerly snatched the tart as it fell from the bag and immediately shoved the entire thing into her mouth.

"Ohokay," she said through stuffed cheeks. The padawan swallowed hard, licked her lips, then quickened her pace. "I like helping!" And she did. As much as the teen was known for getting into and out of trouble, she liked helping people. It made her feel good.

They came to a stop when they were approached by another Jedi called Zathria who stuck her hand out for Hamza and her to shake. Maura grabbed her hand and shook it twice vigorously, probably leaving a few flakes of tart crumbs on the knight's hands after she pulled away. "Maura Starwalk!" she announced cheerfully.

One of the councilors, Master Tarrell, arrived next, so Maura gave him a friendly wave and beamed at his compliment. "Maybe since we can use the Force and they can't we can help them distribute medical supplies more quickly!" she offered from down below. The padawan had to crane her neck backwards to look up at the two giants. "Or maybe we could help set up a food distribution place! Or we could set up like a day care thing for all the kids!"

A long-forgotten memory from her childhood appeared at the forefront of Maura's mind. "When I was a baby I used to sneak out and go to this lady's house! She would feed me and the other kids and read us books and let us hangout in her house." She went there a lot when she was an orphan. That old lady was always better company than the orphanage sisters or the other kids. "Maybe since there's a lot of kids they would like it too?"

Peaking out from behind the crate and staring at all the big people talking, Layla tried to match names to the faces. She had heard of most of them, but barely knew any of them. She was content with staying where she was, she would tag along with one of the groups once they started assigning tasks and help out. Unfortunately the tooting at her side seemed to indicate that someone did not agree.

"What?!" She whispered urgently at the little ball droid besides her, glaring at it. "They seem busy, I don't wanna disturb them." She turned around and resumed staring at the group, but the droid persisted, repeatedly bumping against her feet. "Fine, fine. Stop hitting me, I said fine."

She took a deep breath and straightened up to her considerable height, and after another bump from the droid she began walking towards the group, till she spotted some eyes on her and picked up the pace. She ran up to the big Orcolan, and hid behind his left foot. Clutching onto the fabric of his pants with a hand, she stared for a moment at the others.

"I'm..I'm Layla."

Zathria tried not to let her face twist up too much at the crumbs left behind from the dirty hand she had just shaken. Must get back to the ships. Need hand sanitizer! her mind screamed, but to her credit she didn't say anything aloud though her face did look a little pained like maybe she had just stubbed her toe and was trying to hide it.

The Mercy Ships are setting up and could always use extra hands. Especially if those hands have any experience in the Healing Halls, she said, thrusting a thumb back in the direction she had just come from. The not-for-profit volunteer organization she had set up in conjunctions with some wealthy benefactors wasn't nearly as large as ISCRA, but she was proud of it nonetheless. They had provided free medical care on dozens of worlds and counting.

I think food and medical distribution would be a huge value, she agreed with Maura. The necessities were critical at this point in time, but she also knew the longer they stood talking, the less work they would get done.

She was about to break away to get to work when the group was approached by what could only be another Padawan a few moments later who identified herself as "Layla." Hi, Layla, nice to meet you. You here to help out as well? she asked.

Listening to where the support has been primarily and where it could be. it might help to have some of these ideas from the Jedi present come to fruition. Hamza could sit tight in the are and help with giving food to the hungry, while Maura could work on a form of leadership in leading the children in a daycare-esk regime. Zathria also had a wonderful point with the healers being of use in the medical area.

"Sounds like we have our plan then. I shall remain here to support the area, I'll inform incoming Jedi of the Mercy Ships and medical tents."

The Sephi took down a couple notes real quick before looking back over to see a new face come up. The sweet child introduced herself and Fynn could resist but think it was quite adorable. With a warm smile he'd greet her back,

"Master Fynn Tarrell, it's nice to meet you Layla. Say, could you actually help Padawan Maura set up a child care tent? I think you two would do a wonderful job of helping the other kids."

It was a risk to let Mayra of all Jedi run off to do something but she was being given tests. Let's see how well she fairs in making things work out. As far as here with the food, Fynn remembered he had brought some blankets from the donations center. It'd help to keep the sick warm in these hard times, as well as the those with little to nothing to keep themselves warm at night.

"I have some blankets I can have brought over. The droids can set of and we can begin handing them out with the food."

Master Tarrell seemed to like the idea of setting up a daycare. After all, he did just assign her and the other padawan to go do it! Maura turned to look at the togruta girl hiding behind Master Ozdemir's calf and promptly beamed in her direction. "C'mon!" She reached out to grab the younger padawan's hand so that she could pull the shy girl along with her. "I'm Maura by the way!"

Once the two of them were on the way, Maura would drop Layla's hand and just trot alongside the other girl. She hadn't ever spoken to her before, nor was she sure if she'd seen her around or not, which meant she had to break the ice! On the way to set up the daycare thingy, of course.

"So, who's your master?" she inquired as they were walking along. She spoke away from the girl, eyes darting all over the place as she kept a lookout for a good, free, and big open tent they could borrow for their mission. "Ooh! And who's your droid?"

Hamza didn't say much as the others talked about what they thought might be best - though he did make sure to shoot Maura an approving glance to show the padawan he agreed with her ideas. To be honest, he was actually a little impressed with how quickly she'd come up with them. Learning under the Grand Master seemed to be serving the rainbow haired kid quite well.

Feeling a tug on his pants, Hamza turned to see a Togruta standing there looking a little timid. Getting down to one knee to get on Layla's level as best he could - of course, even kneeling down Hamza was still like a foot or more taller than the padawan - Hamza flashed her a comforting grin.

Good to meet you, Layla. He said, his voice a deep rumbling baritone but still clearly lighthearted. Have you met Maura? I think you two will do great setting up a spot for the kids to hang out. Hamza would then usher her over to Maura who already looked raring to go.

Standing back up, Hamza looked around for a moment before deciding on exactly what he was going to do. At Zathria's suggestion, he figured focusing on food - his favorite thing in the galaxy - was definitely the way to go.

I'll be right back! Hamza said before jogging back to the ship to grab something.

He'd return a few minutes later with a whole ass grill - probably two or three times the size of a normal grill someone might have in their backyard - in his hands before plopping it down and lighting it with a bit of pyrokinesis. The flames burst to life and as the grill heated up, Hamza would start pulling all sorts of vegetables out of his sack of food.

First on the menu, grilled veggies! He said with a jovial laugh.

The smell of the grill would start wafting through the camp, hopefully lifting the spirits of anyone nearby who might have a rumble in their belly.

Zathria gave a nod as everyone seemed to get their tasks and she made her way quickly over to one of the medical tents. By the time that the massive Knight had arranged his grill, she was finishing up with the first of her many patients for the day.

After dousing her hands in a small ocean of hand sanitizer, she'd gone to work sewing up a particularly nasty laceration across someone's forehead. As she did, the real strength of her work was her connection to the Force. She let her mind flow into the Force until she could see everything around her. No, not just around her, she was a part of it. The Force flowed through everything and she was a piece of the Force. She was the cut on the young man's forehead. She could feel the skin binding back together.

She could feel the fear beneath the surface that he did his best to hide, and she soothed it, letting confidence and purpose suffuse first herself and then him. It was the power of conviction and the belief that a new day will come and when it comes it will shine out the clearer.

By the time she had finished, the boy - a young Rodian - not only had a repaired cut but a higher spirit. He ran over to the grill and held up two fingers to @Hamza Ozdemir to indicate he wanted two plates of grilled veggies.

Though she hadn’t been present on that fateful day, Sarella had nevertheless seen the footage that poured out of Thyferra. It was a miracle of the Force that the defenders had beaten the Kilik swarm back and protected the valuble supplies of Bacta - but it did not come without a cost for those who lived there. The casualties were extensive, and the injuries of survivors even moreso. It broke her heart, and the Consular didn’t hesitate to dive head-first into the relief efforts - regardless of how poor the situation on the ground.

As her shuttle touched down on the surface of Thyferra, Sarella strolled down the durasteel ramp - pale blue eyes sweeping across the congregation of survivors and relief-workers alike. She was adorned in a
fur-lined brown tunic and matching pants, the symbol of the Jedi Order subtly carved into the center of her chest. Her silver-blonde hair was tied back into a loose bun - kept away from her face as she went to work. Curiously, the Consular carried no saber on her belt, leaving the weapon safely stowed within her quarters where it seldom ever left.

It didn’t take her long to locate her fellow Jedi - a sight that immediately brought a small smile to her lips. She began to make her way in that direction, offering each of them a small wave of her hand as she approached. “Good to see everyone,” She said smoothly, her melodic voice filling the circle. “Councilor," She said towards Flynn, offering the Annfyn a dip of her head before moving next to Hazma. Her hand extended towards the Orcolan, smiling softly up at the Jedi who utterly dwarfed her in height. “It’s good to meet you. I’m Sarella,”

Her attention briefly flicked over to the pair of Padawans, offering each a smile and small tilt of her head. "And you both as well." Unlike some of her colleagues, Sarella was grateful to see some of the younger generation taking part in the effort. Too many of their students kept confined to the temples, and were wholly unprepared for the realities of the war and Galaxy as a whole. Not to mention, most of the danger had passed at this point.

As introductions passed, Sarella’s attention promptly flicked towards the medical tents that were being established nearby. It was exactly where she was going to be most helpful - and she politely excused herself from the group to move in that direction. Her cerulean gaze flicked over to Zathria, recognizing the woman from the impromptu meeting on Yavin, “Need a hand?” She asked whilst walking over. Regardless of the answer, it didn’t stop Sarella was taking up residence at one of the healing stations - her attention flicking onto a Zabrak girl with a multitude of cuts and acid burns on her arms.

Emryc wasn’t pleased to have the planet crawling with Jedi, but even he couldn’t deny they had been helpful. ISCRA was always spread thin with its refugee efforts and the Killik attack had been unprecedented and completely out of the blue. Corellia was still under attack and Emryc kept tabs on it at all times. It was useless for him to attempt traveling there now when it was so far away. He instead chose to check up on all the bacta factories to ensure production continued as usual. There were higher demands than ever in light of recent events and he had to ensure all the channels were boosted with all the supplies needed.

He had been told of Jedi setting up rebuilding efforts in the aftermath of the invasion and his aides had told him time and time again that it would be beneficial for him to at least make a brief appearance. The half Sephi made his way over with a large group service droids and several large vehicles filled to the brim with food, medical supplies and a speeder with a large water tank. The President disembarked from one of the speeders, dressed more casual than usual. A modest chrono hung on his wrist and his signature cologne permeated through the air as always.

As usual, there was chatter from the civilians gathered at his arrival. Emryc gave a nod in greeting, doing a typical politician wave before heading over towards where the Jedi congregated. He wasn’t entirely sure who was in charge, so he addressed them collectively. His baritone voice carried across them all easily enough, “The sports stadium one block over has been cleared and beds have been set up for those in need,” His icy gaze panned across the others, “You will find more food supplies and water here and these droids are at your disposal,” Emryc gestured to the droids and vehicles behind him, “Thank you for your support,” He said to them.

Though he had an intimidating demeanor, he was approachable for anyone brave enough. His aides told him to be ‘friendly’ and be receptive to any fan type behavior just this once. Emryc strode through the crowds, stopping by to chat with any recently homeless or injured civilians, taking any pictures with them they desired and listening to them gush about his appearance on the battlefield.

It wasn’t long before he sniffed the air and his ears noticeably twitched. Did he smell roasting vegetables? As a long time vegetarian, the heavenly smell immediately caught his attention. The half Sephi turned to spot one of the few instances where someone (@Logan) was larger than him. Emryc walked towards that direction, silently pondering if it was even appropriate for him to help himself to any of the grilled foods.

So this was where Zak had nearly given his life for the President of the ISC. The holo-clip played across her mind. Her master yeeted out of sight along with a powerful Sith. Thorne alone standing in the wake of the Kilik Queen's crippling Force attack. Even if her master had sacrificed himself to shield the man with a barrier instead of himself, something still bugged her about the President's uncanny ability to survive that deadly encounter. An attack that left Zak broken and defeated for weeks. And those shades... Why the shades?! Was it an ego thing?!

Lucifrey nervously twirled her right pointer around her Padawan braid, wrapping it up and down her finger while her left arm rested across her chest. The very man himself stood before her, far enough away that she could just make out the ISC President's features and voice while he addressed the group of people that had gathered for him. Her eyes sharply studied him. The way he carried himself. The way he spoke. The way he moved.

He carried himself almost like a Jedi. Perhaps even better than some she knew. Had he been one in the past? Was his connection to the Order severed long ago? Did Zak know, and was that why he had such a difficult time talking to her about the event? Was Mr. Thorne the real reason Zak had to decided to come here today? At least it was better than the idea she had that the Councilor position had been too much pressure for him and that he'd gone to hunt for vengeance against any stragglers that the Kiliks might've left behind.

Too many questions raced through Luci's mind. Too many implications and assumptions. Her deep red expression was somewhere between concern and confusion. At the very least, she knew someone who she thought she could talk to about it, even though she had no idea where in the Galaxy Maura Starwalk would even be right now. Luci's left arm unfolded, her smartpad dataphone in her hand. She took a long deep breath in an attempt to calm her anxious heart.

Luci then minimized the application she'd been using to practice writing algorithms for AI, not that she'd been making nearly as much progress on that as she wanted, then she swiped her thumb across the screen to connect her smartpad's holo-communicator to Maura's own device. She'd wait for a connection before she'd release her paddie braid and give a friendly wave.

"Hey~" She'd try to say in a slightly perky tone while she forced a little smile on, that was if her holo-call was even answered. Luci tried to hide the fact she was keeping an eye on Mr. Thorne as he walked towards an area she couldn't quite see from her vantage point. The more he disappeared from her line of sight, the more she'd move to follow from a distance like a trepid fangirl stalking her hero. An intentional deception on her part.

If her call was answered then she'd continue speaking in a low volume without looking to see whose holo-face she was even talking to. "You'll never believe who I'm looking at right now on Thyferra." She paused and lowered her voice even further to an emphasized whisper. "President Thorne!" (@Maura Starwalk)

The plan was falling into place, Zathria was leading the medical team, Maura and Layla leading the children. Who knows how terrifying that'll end up later. Hamza and Fynn were taking care of the people coming in by handing out food and blankets. Knight Sarella had shown up and greeted everyone, fynn would kindly return the greeting to the white haired lady,

"Sarella, good to see you've come."

Then back to work. The Sephi would eventually let the droids take over in helping hand out the blankets. His eyes looking over the long line as well as the others helping in the area. ISCRA doing a wonderful had been not too far away from where the Jedi were set up. Fynn felt a bit of warmth in him knowing he had been helping, but his heart felt for those who lost so much here. No one could ever know what these poor people had seen on that day. Nor did anyone want to.

"Hamza, that grill smells wondrous. You will have to come to the annual barbeque this year. So long as we can get these Killiks under control."

There's a slight playfulness to his voice but also some serious truth. These bug invaders were a pain in the ass. But at least it kept the Sith from doing anything too hasty to the galaxy. The ceasefire had brought a load of relief, but the Jedi have their guards up. Thyferra being ISC territory came no surprise individuals from the ISC would show up to help, but seeing President Thorne in the distance making his way here. It was a shock. Not many get to see him come by. A bit of an honor Fynn would say.

"President Thorne,"

Fynn stood at similar height if not the same, and greeted the President with a warm smile. His hand outward prepared to shake the President of the ISC's hand and make a good first impression.

"It's good to see you come out. It is our greatest pleasure to help anyone in need in the trying times. In all honesty we should be thanking you for your brave display of heroism on the battlefield."

The Sephi remember how Thorne had put the bugs to disposal with his mace. That workout routine really did wonders. Fynn would have to give that a go at some point. Taking a look at Emryc, he was slightly jealous of the muscular physique but it was hard work that earned it. Fynn soon will have a stronger figure than the one he has now.

"I'm sure you'll be relieved to hear Zak has recovered well from the blast. I know he was one of the people that saved you from that blast. In fact he should be arriving before too long, if ever want to speak with him. For now though, we have Knight Hamza on the grill if you'd like some grilled veggies. I think he has some spices over there to throw on em as well. Help yourself to what you want."

Fynn smiled at the President before turning away to traverse over to the medical tents. He needed to check on everyone and see how well Zathria and Sarella had been fairing with healing so many people. It was a tasking ability and only so many knew how to do it. It was quite the sight to see a young kid with cuts on their body heal in such a quick manner. To a normal person this ability would blow their mind, but for the Jedi it was more so just a mesmerizing sight. Almost like asmr in a way.

"How have we been doing over here?"

Layla stared up at Zathria, and nodded in response to her question. She wanted to say something, but the introduction was about as much as she was going to manage at the moment. Her eyes, darting from one figure to the next, visibly widened when the Sephi introduced himself as a Master, and she instinctively turned her attention to her feet when he addressed her, equal parts terrified and starstruck. Nodding without looking at him, she looked up a moment later to spot herself almost face to face with Hamza.

She was a little nervous, but his tone helped, and at his suggestion she turned to look at Maura, and after a moment turned back to Hamza and nodded. "O..okay." Not that she had much of a choice, as the next moment Maura had her by the hand and was off. Layla would have planted her face on the ground if not for the gentle push behind her as she felt a round mass push her forward, allowing her to keep pace with Maura.

"I.." She started to reply to Maura's question, but couldn't get the words out before Maura jumped onto her next question. Getting a little nervous, she looked back at the droid rolling along besides her, and his familiar presence calmed her a little, bringing a small smile to her lips. The droid began tooting, making demands of her to use the introduction they had practiced. Realizing how embarrassing it would be to actually do it in front of someone, she shook her head, immediately refusing the request. The droid persisted, and began bumping into her once more, and after the third bump she almost tripped, and snapped her head around to glare at him. "Cut it out!"

She shut her mouth at once, remembering Maura by her side, and turning to see if the girl had heard her little outburst. Of course she had, how could she now? She forced a small smile, and tried to only thing that she could, deflect. "He's Basher." The droid tooted assertively, as if assuring Maura that she was speaking the truth. Thankfully Maura's comm beeped at that moment, and took the attention away from her. She took that time multitasking, worrying and looking around for an appropriate tent. Once Maura seemed to be done with her call she pointed at a decent sized tent that seemed to be mostly unused.

"That one?"

The smell of food had drawn people to Hamza just as he'd hoped it would. The plates were moving just as fast as he was able to put new food onto the grill, but to be honest Hamza couldn't be happier. Finally managing to peer up from his work, Hamza was surprised to see someone he recognized.. although, pretty much everyone in the galaxy would recognize President Thorne.

Even over a short distance the Orcolan could tell the President was a little apprehensive to approach and get a plate of food for himself. Understandable, but Hazma would be having none of that. His food was for everyone and there was more than plenty to go around. There were about thirty more sacks of produce sitting on his freighter, after all. Hamza hadn't been so foolish as to only show up with what could fit on his back.

President Thorne! Hamza called out to him with a wave of his hand, motioning for the Sephi man to come over to the grill. Hamza had always heard Emryc was a large man, but he never really appreciated it until seeing it in person. Of course, Hamza was still a little bit bigger but that was true for.. pretty much everyone.

Don't be shy now, Hamza said with a smile as he flipped over some of the veggies sizzling away on the grill. With a flourish, Hamza would add dashes of several spices - his own secret blends, of course - that truly elevated his produce to the next level. Presidents need to eat too.

Hamza would hand Emryc a plate consisting of Bellassan peppers, grilled shuura fruit, brekka beet and sweetroot. Not to mention, you're still a growing boy. He said, giving Emryc a playful wink.

Maura was interrupted by the sound of an incoming call on her datapad. She pulled it out and squinted at it curiously, trying to decipher the dim image in the bright sunlight. Eventually, the screen auto-adjusted to the outdoor light, and she could see Lucifrey's name sprawled across the top of the screen.

"Oh, it's Luci!" Maura showed Layla the name on the screen, then swiped right to answer the call. "Hi Luci!" Her ears perked up when Lucifrey revealed she was looking at the Emyrc Thorne. "Oh cool! He's so super tall, almost as tall as Master Odzdemir!"

She then flipped to the back camera and pointed the device at Layla and her droid Basher, both of which were looking around and not at the datapad. "I'm with Layla and Basher on Thyferra! We're gonna start a daycare for some of the kids! You should come help us!"

Layla stole her attention for a moment as she pointed out a tent, to which Maura gave an enthusiastic thumbs-up of approval. She then looked back at Lucifrey on her datapad and said, "Sorry, gotta go now!' Doo-woop. She hung up.

"O-Kay!" The padawan clapped her hands together, then turned to look at Layla with a wide grin. "Let's go check it out!" All too happy to lead the way, Maura began marching toward the tent Layla had pointed out and stuck a hand in the flap to pull it inside. She peered past the fabric, looking carefully to make sure it wasn't occupied and saw just a couple of boxes and a man packing stuff into them. Was he vacating?

"Hello!" Maura grabbed Layla by the wrist and barged right in, dragging the younger padawan along with her. The man stopped packing to give the two a quizzical look, then put what he was holding down. "I'm Padawan Starwalk and this is Pada- Padawan Layla and we were wondering if we could maybe use this tent to set up a daycare for the kids here!" She didn't know Layla's surname, so she defaulted to the Togruta's first name.

Zathria was about ready to move on to the next patient when the Knight she had seen at Yavin appeared nearby.

Hey, good to see you again. Zathria, she said, stripping off the dirty gloves and wiping her hands down before sanitizing again and extending a hand to the other Knight. She had no idea what Sarella specialized in but she'd take any help she could get.

Ever do any healing? she asked, heading over to one of tents to grab more supplies.

We've been doing a lot of triage and...

She blanched for a moment, eyes going wide when she saw @Emryc Thorne himself across the way. She fought to keep her mouth from dropping open, but uh... well, he wasn't talking to her so she didn't have to look like an idiot. Look, you met Carrick and he was nice and you didn't put your foot in your mouth too much. The President probably won't even come over here.

Oh, uh... sorry, I was saying something, wasn't I? she said with several blinks to regain her thought process.

Then @Fynn Tarrell made his way over and she was distracted again. That sentence probably hadn't been important anyway.

Good Master Tarrell. Lots of wounded and lots of work to do. Not enough resources but we'll make it work, she said. They were dealing with mostly the walking wounded out here with the worst of the traumas inside in the surgical bays and bacta tanks. Unfortunately, they only had a handful of either in the ships.
