DESCRIPTION
The Bronzium Whip, or BW-137, is a high-powered repulsor-craft put together by Jedi Knight Hannibal Grayza, inspired by a rust burner party he had visited on Nar Shaddaa. Swoops differ from standard jumpspeeders by having extremely powerful engines and high service ceilings; in effect, they are one-being airspeeders, stripped down to an engine, a set of controls and a seat. They are fast, require skill to effectively control and are extremely dangerous, and the Whip is no exception to any of these criteria.

The Whip is 7.62 meters in length, with space for a pilot and up to 20 kilograms of cargo. The Whip does not possess any armament, but can break 1000 kph, and has a service ceiling of about 1,500 meters, relying on specialized inertial dampeners to prevent the pilot from leaving the seat while flying. Like most swoops, Skyblades do not possess any safety harnesses or mechanical limiters for maneuverability or engine power; it is possible to push the machine until it breaks, and it takes a skilled pilot to determine just where the limits are without crossing them catastrophically. The controls of this particular swoop are designed to Hannibal's personal preferences, resulting in a high sensitivity similar to that of a podracer, requiring abnormally quick reflexes to operate "safely".

It is quite loud, using twp pairs of maneuvering repulsor-plates on the bottom and and array in the rear spoiler to facilitate quick turns and braking, the large chassis containing powerful thrust and power systems. The seat and controls are designed for Hannibal's measurements and personal preferences, even including a head rest. The bronzium finish is light but durable, acid treated to get the shifting color scheme across its surface resembling a rising sun over the horizon. The control area also includes quality of life features, including cupholders and an ashtray with rechargeable lighter. The modest glove compartment is climate controlled, which the manual insists is for ensuring stored "fruit juice" remains at optimal drinking temperature. It requires a special electronic key to be inserted in order to start or properly access the maintenance panels, or else it loudly buzzes in the negative and yells insults in basic through the media system's speakers. Because of this, hotwiring it requires the additional steps of either slicing or removing the security circuitry from the main console while enduring increasingly foul language in Hannibal's own voice.

While the maneuvering systems are powerful, moving beyond 850kph functionally reduces maneuverability by one step, relying on the use of brake-sliding to drift corners instead of properly turning, getting increasingly difficult as speed goes up, trading maneuverability for sheer velocity. While one can certainly attempt to turn as sharply as before at that point, the pilot is likely to be launched from the seat at a speed not conducive to a safe landing.

All in all quite comfortable for a screaming metal death trap. Always remember to wear a helmet!

LEGALITY
Semi-legal, depending on jurisdiction. On some planets, it's speed capabilities break local ordinance regarding space incapable craft, and going at such speeds is bound to draw attention regardless.

INTENT
To represent Hannibal's personal, lovingly crafted swoop bike.

RESTRICTIONS
Beyond the fact only one exists, its engines, maneuvering, and power systems have been put together as high-end as they can go without setting the bike on fire. These cannot be further modified, nor can high power draw attachments like weapons be added in any way. The addition of any sort of military grade armor would throw off the delicate balance.

In short, by its very nature, this vehicle cannot be further modified.

Is this an entirely custom vehicle? If not, I'd prefer you make a profile for the stock version.

Primarily custom work with some parts derived from the Skyblade-330 and the company that made it was the idea.

So, as a rule, if the modifications to this thing are entirely cosmetic, but it behaves the same as a Skyblade-330, we like people to post their custom stuff in Generic Tech, not here. We really don't like to see stuff that is, functionally, entirely unique to a given character. That's sort of why we made reskins an option.

If you'd like to boost performance from stock, I do intend to make some mods for vehicles in the near future, just like we have with starships.

Fair enough, it's only real differences are top speed and it swears at people. Please archive it and I'll work within the bounds of generitech. Sorry for the trouble.
