Location: Lehon

Mila fiddled with the combat helmet she had bought from Balmorra, but no matter how much she played with the straps, it just felt off. Clearly whoever designed this thing wasn't a Twi'lek, because it was grating on her head tails. That aside, she looked to the rest of the men who were tagging along for this mission, after all, this was going to be a heck of an operation. On board The Jabberwocky, Mila had made the preparations to intercept their target whenever the group was ready. It pained her that her order were so mistrusted now, that brandishing a lightsaber was calls for their rights as sentient beings to be terminated. It was madness, but fear often had this effect on others. Of course, in private this was no issue at all, and indeed her lightsaber was on her person, though she wore a thin blast vest under the tunic. She only hoped her companions did not harbor ill will towards her, but that was all in the hands of the force.

Leon sat checking over his equipment one final time. It was habit more than anything, but it was better to find any issues now than in the heat of combat. He wore a newer jacket which was tan with white on the sleeves and the Sector Ranger emblem on either bicep instead of his old tattered leather duster. Under which he wore his Enforcement Armor instead of his normal blast vest its pouches holding a number of extra power packs for his blasters. Rising to his feet, he slings his Czerka-76 across his body and glances around the YT-1300 he and his compatriots flew in. The ship was owned by a Twi'lek Jedi that had conscripted him and some others to help put a dent on slave trade on Lehon.

"Alright. What's our plan again?" He asks, turning to the Twi'lek and running a hand through his short, well trimmed beard. While he hadn't met many Jedi he had no issue with them, though he was thankful Zad was here to watch his back. From the sounds of things they were going to be attacking a transport and the simple plan was take down the slavers and free the slaves. But nothing was ever that easy. Voxx, his droid was in a small case that hung off the side of his belt, ready to be deployed when needed.

Oren leaned back in his seat of Mila's ship, his boots kicked up and resting against the dash. It had been a good few months since he had last seen Mila, she still looked good, though he had certainly changed. He sat there flexing his robotic right hand, with a chuckle as he turned to watch the group. They needed to be proactive after everything that had happened.

Someone was framing them and they needed to prove to the galaxy that it wasn't them behind it. So here he was rubbing elbows with the dregs of society, bringing them to justice and making the galaxy better with one arrest at a time. He would peer back towards the Rangers, giving them both a wink. "It's a pleasure to finally work with your organization, I've heard many great things about you." He'd smirk.

Zad had a good nap in the lounge and woke up with his knuckles in his eyes, rubbing the sleep away with smacking lips. His mouth was dry, perhaps on account of the drool on the seat, so he wiped it away with a sleeve and rose with a stretch and a yawn. He might have been out for an hour, which wasn’t the power nap that he had planned, but he was well enough awake to pop into the galley for a sandwich and pop open a beer.

It looked like the gang was already in one room when he strolled up chewing on bread and lettuce and ham. He heard two men’s voices before he entered, receiving Leon, armed and armored, as he addressed Mila, while Oren’s boots addressed the dash. He looked comfortable enough, but Zad had laid down for long enough. Catching the man’s wink, Zad chewed on his thoughts as much as his sandwich. Affable fellow.

“We do what we can, us Rangers,” he brushed off modestly, but no less honestly. “Still, having power at your hands and in your hilt is certainly something else. Met a few Jedi before you two. Good memories. Here’s to many more.” With that, he lifted his beer to his lips and down his throat, and listened to Mila relay the plan.

Mila threw a glance to Oren, taking note of his new cybernetic hand, and recalled she hadn't inquired as to how that had happened; flashes of Mustafar flickered on in her head, and she found herself withdrawing from asking once more.

Banishing the thought from her mind, Mila sighed and looked back to the two rangers, and put on a small smile. "Well never the less, I'm glad we can come together and resolve the conflict here." Mila nodded, as she flipped on a switch, turning a small holoprojector up, the hologram of a train came on display, as it followed a path through a rock filled basin. "Now, as for the plan, we're hitting this train that is carrying a supply of slaves. According to the source, the slavers are planning to transport these peoples to a undocumented space port, and ship them off world for sale." Mila pressed another switch, as a display showing the Jabberwocky followed above the train, showing small figures descending via cables as they landed on the top of the vehicle. "So, I'm going to fly us over the train, and then we're going to liberate it of it's current owners. Now sadly, we can't redirect the train route, but..." Pressing another switch, she glanced over to Oren and smiled, as the rear two carts began to flash bright pink. "This is where most of the slaves will be located, so two of us will strike there first, the next group will take over the controls. After that, we'll capture the pirates, free the slaves, and hopefully walk away with no one winding up dead." Mila pressed another switch, and the hologram dissipated. The Twi'lek leaned back into her chair, knowing all to well how dangerous this was going to be, not to mention she was going to have to program the autopilot into following them; either that or she'd have to man the controls. Either way, she was sure to be assailed by questions. "So, any questions?" She asked, crossing her legs and folding her hands into her lap, expecting someone to hole punch right through this plan.

"I'm just happy to be working with like minded people with skills such as you alls. I can't abide slavery and this little team of ours is helping to put a dent in it." Leon says in response to the male Jedi, Oren. Chuckling at his friend as he enters the room with a sandwich in hand, Leon goes to say something to the Ranger but the Twi'lek Mila speaks up first. He listens to the plan the Jedi had laid out, nodding his head in understanding.

"Sounds like a good a plan as any. We hit the front and back, then meet in the middle." Leon's BG astromech rolls in from elsewhere on the ship, nearly running over Leon's foot as he rolls past. "And Bravo here can stay in the ship and follow us on the train so we have a means to evac if it goes south." Looking over at Mila. "That is, if you're okay with my droid flying your ship." It was a decent plan. As good as anything Leon himself could of come up with. While he would preferred to stay together he saw the reasoning behind splitting up. He was ready to get this show on the road.

Oren peered towards his Twi'lek friend a wide smile forming on his lips as he watched her work and lead the way, he hadn't taken the time to stop and realize how strong she had become, she was a capable leader, and was one of the best. The markings on the near human's face began to gently glow a vibrant red as he watched in awe, "Uh.." His voice would crack slightly as Mila turned to him, "I..like this plan," he'd say turning his eyes away from the Jedi and towards the rangers.

He would point towards Zad, "You look like pack serious muscle," he'd say with a gentle chuckle, "I'll work with you." He would turn to the others waiting to see if he got any objections.

Zad stepped closer from the doorway and into the cockpit to get a better look at the hologram, its train and the plan that rolled with it. He could think of a few questions to follow up with, but first he allowed his two testosterone contemporaries to speak up first. Neither man had questions, though Oren did have an observation and an offer. Zad agreed with both.

“Muscle and metal, partner,” he said while patting the pistol by his thigh. “I don’t always get to work with a Jedi. Should be interesting.” He took a swig of his beer to wash the last bite of sandwich down, licked his lips and looked at the only woman in the cockpit.

“Any plan that involves taking down the bad guys is a good plan, especially if we live to drink about it. Where's this train routed to stop at? I mean, what kind of a window are we looking at here? I’m all for fighting against the odds but knowing how much time we have is more important to me than knowing how many drukheads are gonna be shooting my way.”

He shrugged, valid concerns and all, but he wasn’t going to turn back either way. He had come this far already and there were slaves that needed freeing and slavers that needing cuffing. Against the head as much as the wrists.

Mila was a tad confused when Oren turned away from her rather suddenly, but perhaps he was more focused on the task at hand; which was commendable, because Mila herself was feeling more excitable than normal at current. Though he seemed to have no objections to the plan, which boded well for her. She made a mental note to practice keeping her composure, maybe after this she could ask Oren for some tips, he seemed rather well versed at it.

She felt a bit of relief as one of the rangers seemed to have a droid on hand, which was rather good fortune. That saved her alot of work, not to mention the risk of losing her beloved ship was cut to basically zero. "That's actually wonderful that you brought a droid. I'd be more than happy to give him control of the ship." She smiled, looking to Oren once more. "Well, that saves me the headache of mapping out the auto pilot." She left out the part about doubting the Jabberwocky even capable of managing such a maneuver, but decided it best to leave that out; after all, her ship was reliable, it just had some very minor flaws. Seeing that Oren already picked his partner for the assignment, Mila shrugged her shoulders, and looked to Leon. "Then gentle sir, I suppose I will accompany you." She smiled, feeling rather good about the partnership they were forming with the rangers here and now. She eyed up Zad, taking note that she wasn't sure of the numbers they were facing. "Well, given the route of the train, I'd say we have fifteen to thirty minutes to make this work. I'm not familiar with the location, like I said it's some independently operating space port, Sulu or something. " Her eyes wearily watched Zad's beer hand, as while she understood the necessity to eat and drink, she knew all to well one freak accident would cripple her beloved ship; not to mention he risked getting crumbs in the control panels. "I don't know of the numbers, but expect at least a dozen in total. Once we eliminate the slavers, we can apprehend the sellers at the spaceport, then arrange for transportation for the slaves." Mila clarified on the number of slavers they were to expect.

Seeing that they were about to get underway, Mila wanted to go ahead and spare everyone the misfortune of forgetting their partners names "Just to make sure we have the name game down, I suppose introductions would be proper." Mila started, knowing all too well how horrible people were about recalling names. "Mila Tesara." She commented, gesturing to herself, then nodding to Leon, hoping they could get a nice and friendly circle going.

Once they had gotten past the introductions, Mila would spin back around and take the controls, though she would wait for Leon's droid to plug itself in; Bravo was it? "If it's okay with your little friend, I'd like to get us into position first." Mila requested, as while she didn't mind the droid taking the controls while she was off the ship, she loved how her Jabberwocky flew. "Everyone get comfortable, I'm expecting some turbulence on today's flight." Mila warmed the engines up and began to lift off, as once the landing struts were withdraw, the old Yt-1300 was off.

All in all, the plan was set. Bravo would pilot the ship while the two Jedi and Two Rangers took the train and as luck would have it, he was partnered with the Twi'Lek.

"I wouldn't go as far as to call myself 'gentle', but I'll see to it that I'm good company nevertheless." He flashes a wolfish grin and walks over to Zad as she gives a rough estimate on numbers and a time frame they had to shut the train down. He clasps the man's forearm in a handshake. "Be safe down there. I'd hate to have to drink a beer in your honor instead of in your company, my friend." With that, Mila Introduces herself just to make sure everyone knew who each other was. "I'm Leon and my droid here is Bravo. You heard her, Let her get the ship into position and then take over from there. Stay with the train and keep coms open in case anyone needs an emergency exfil." The BG Droid beeps almost dryly in response and retracts its socket arm to wait until it was needed. Leon nods toward Oren and stands at the ready, waiting for the ship to move into position.

The plan sounded good, a bit brash, but it could work. Wasting no time he would slowly make his way towards the back of the ship, his eyes shifting back to Zad as they walked. "I hope you don't mind, but I'd prefer to take these guys out with as little deaths as possible.." He'd say with a smile, "Do you know if there is a way to call the authorities ahead of time, maybe some backup? They could round up all these poor blokes we knock out."

He would do his best to prevent too many deaths, they were criminals, but a criminal could be reformed if they truly repented for their crimes and served their time. He hoped the ranger didn't get the wrong impression, "I'm not a pacifist, just like to give people second chances if I can." He'd peer back towards the door, waiting for the operation to begin.

Fifteen to thirty minutes, huh? Zad let his eyebrows balance the weight of those odds. It seemed like ample time, but time was ultimately at the mercy of events, and events were often unforeseen. This undocumented port, on the other hand, wasn’t just off the books but was unknown even to the planner. That could change the dynamics a tad, particularly if these four heroes arrived at the station to be met by muzzles, for whatever reason. Eh, a risk is a risk. Said every Ranger ever.

Zad followed Mila’s gaze as it hovered over his beer, but the poor girl didn’t know that this was a man who held his drink like he held his gun: in an iron grip. Then again, maybe she just doesn’t like the fact that I drink. Some people were like that, but some people didn’t like blue milk and some people did. It was a shruggable musing and little more. The plan, on the other hand, was stacking up to be a deal that would earn ten beers and then some if all of them survived it. Who am I kidding? I like the odds. Always better when they’re against me.

“Fair enough,” he said simply to Mila’s rundown of the dozen slavers, not counting the slaves and the sellers. “Sounds like a cakewalk.” He received Leon’s approach just then, the two men grasping each other’s forearm with mutual strength. Zad returned his partner’s grin. “Whatever happens, happens. Just be sure it’s Snow Mountain IPA. Best way to honor my dead body.”

Morbid jesting aside, Zad had no intention of pulling out of this shindig without his life intact. He didn’t want to share those ten beers alone, after all. He turned back to Mila as she moved onto introductions. “Zad Ruzed. With two Z’s.” He held up two fingers and then his beer, downing what was left. The circle of names was complete and the ship and crew moved on.

Passing through the ship, Zad retrieved his gear, strapping on his Enforcement Armor, slinging his A280C rifle over his shoulder, and grabbing the pack of cigarettes from the couch.
"I hope you don't mind, but I'd prefer to take these guys out with as little deaths as possible.."
Oren’s request had been all too typical for a man who lived the life he lived, and to his credit Zad smiled reassuringly and gave the Jedi a pat on the back. “Not to worry, compadre. My gun only goes off if someone sets it off.” He winked at the ambiguity of those words.
"Do you know if there is a way to call the authorities ahead of time, maybe some backup? They could round up all these poor blokes we knock out."
“I’m a bit of a lone wolf when I range these sectors, but “Sector Rangers” are capital words for a reason. We call for company when we need it.” He held up a comlink to illustrate that capability.
"I'm not a pacifist, just like to give people second chances if I can."
“I believe in second chances too.” Zad stared ahead with a bit of humor drained from his face, whether his partner had caught it or not. Isn’t every decade a second chance? Every year? Every day? “That’s why I carry a stun baton and a gun. The right tool for the right occasion, such as whether that second chance can mutate into a third chance before my head mutates off my shoulders.” He spoke in some jest and in some certain sincerity.

It wouldn't take long to reach the location, though Mila did see Seeing as she already had an intercept course plotted, Mila pulled herself away from the controls and let the droid have the wheel. As she withdrew, she gave Bravo a small pat on the head. "Take good care of her Bravo, she's quite literally the only thing I have." She stated, motioning for Leon to follow as she made her way to the cargo ramp and began to pull out the towing cable they were going to use for their descent onto the train. "Alright Leon, I'll go first, okay?" Mila stated, as she took off her robes and set them on the booth seat in the cargo hold, and clipped herself to the cable, before dragging it to the loading ramp.

Pressing on the release, small droplets of water began to force their way inside, as it seemed to be pouring quite hard. The train was spotted not far below the ship, as it seemed that Bravo was doing his job, though as Mila began to lower the rope, one issue was quite clear; the addition of the rain was going to make descending a pain in the rear. Looking back to her group, Mila only smiled and began to inch on back, holding the rope in hand. "Leon and myself will take the front, Zed and Oren secure the back!" Mila shouted, before stepping off the ramp and lowering herself down to the train below. At least that had been the way she envisioned it, how it actually unfolded was far less pleasant. As she was being lowered, the wind began to batter her about, as the jedi knight struggled to keep herself on target. There were five rail cars in total, and where she had been aiming for cart number two, she had to settle for car three instead. She hit the train and rolled, though with the combination of the train being wet, it was hard to get a firm hold. If anyone fell over the side, a water death surely awaited them, as thirty to forty felt below, the ocean waves were rolling back and forth. Mila kept herself low and looked up for her teammates, ready to lend a hand if they ran into an difficulties. Thankfully with her being on the roof of the train, the line was somewhat more stable, least now it wasn't flopping about in the air.

Oren said something to Zad that made Leon sigh. He unbuckles his rifle and lays it on small couch in the lounge. If they wanted to try less than lethal force, there was no need to bring a blaster without a stun setting.

"Stun it is, unless it gets hairy. Then i'll put them down the other way." Zad responds to his comment about beer and Leon grins at his friend. "Corellian Whiskey if it should go the other way." He pauses as Mila pats Bravo on the head and gives him control of her ship. She motions him to follow and then opens the cargo door. After the cable descends she attaches herself to it and slides down out of his view. It was his turn and he steps toward the Cargo door, attaching himself to the cable. He turns to the other two left in the ship and winks. "See y'all on the other side" He says before stepping backwards off the ramp and plummiting downward. His jacket bellows out around him like a cape and thankfully Mila had ahold of the cable making his decent easier than hers probably was. He lands next to Mila, fairly ungracefully and is forced down to his knee to keep from completely losing his balance. "Alright! Sooner we get inside the sooner we can stop this train!" He has to speak with a raised voice due to the rushing of the train and the overall weather conditions. In a low crouch he begins to make his way toward the front of the car they landed on.

The Knight wasted no time jumping from the ship and onto the back ramp of the moving train, he would peer back, looking at Zad as he arrived. "Let's do this," he'd say with a gentle smile as he crept towards the door that lead into the cart. He would press up against the glass, peering through with a sigh. It seemed the window was fogged, making it near impossible to see through.

"Okay," he'd say as he took a step back, "I'm going to open this up, be prepared to follow me." His two hands would reach up, feeling through the force. With a gentle push he would cause the door to shoot open, revealing a group of armed slavers who turned their direction--shock painted across their faces.
