REPUBLIC SNOWTROOPER ARMOR

This armor set, originally based on the Sith Troopers Kit of the old Republica, is very much of a similar design. Sporting the exact same chest plate, helmet, and other general armor parts, this specific armor piece comes with a long insulated face mask and cloak that is designed to help the wearer in Sub-arctic conditions. The armor has an insulated suit modification that helps keep the wearer warmer while out in the elements. This armor kit, once grey for the Sith Troopers, is now painted purple to honor their new host, the Republic. Because the armor is supposed to provide uniformity across the republic, variation is minimal, although certain specialty troops and those stationed on environmentally hostile planets are given special equipment to deal with the elements (mag-boots, thermal or enviro-suits, life boxes, etc). This suit is one of those aforementioned examples. The Snowtrooper's kit is more aligned to fit a sub-zero environment. This gear is still standard issue for troopers visiting such a designated planet (such as Hoth or Rhen Var).The standard equipment array for this variation consists of a Scout HUD, voice scrambler, and integrated commlink.

LEGALITY

Possession and wear of Republic military uniforms is highly illegal- at least in Republic Space if not part of the military itself. Outside of that, you're unlikely to be taken kindly to wearing this armor when posed against a faction that holds the Republic in a negative light..

INTENT

To provide a sub arctic uniform for the republic troopers.

ADVANCED TECH
NO. (Reskin of this Armor Sith Trooper)

Type and Coverage

Type: Medium Armor

Coverage: (Coverage regions for Light armor is 1-3 regions, Medium is 4-5, Heavy is 6-7)

    • Head: A full coverage duraplast helmet with opaque transparisteel faceplate. Insulated face cover included for warmth over visor and faceplate.
    • Torso: An "over the head" style duraplast plate vest, covering from neck to mid-abdomen.
    • Back: An "over the head" style duraplast plate vest, covering from neck to low back
    • Upper Arms: Duraplast shoulder coverage.
    • Lower Arms: Duraplast braces, paired with insulated dueling gloves and a matching fist plate for the back of the hand.
Functions

Function 1: Voice Scrambler

    • For the unusually paranoid, this helmet function can scramble a person's voice to unintelligible garbage, while allowing commlink conversations to continue as normal. Alternatively, it can be used to "digitize" a voice into a deep bass tone.
Function 2: Scout HUD

    • Contains a 4x magnifier and Compass.
Function 3: Environmental Suit

    • While it is not rated for extended exposure to extreme hazards, this body suit (when combined with an enclosed helmet) can protect the wearers body from the effects of environmental and weaponized toxins and similar hazards for up to 5 posting rounds.
Function 4: Insulated UnderSuit

    • Protects 1-2 Rounds Against Extreme Cold or Cryoban Weapons

Hey @Tetsu welcome to the site. I haven't looked at this, so not going to judge any of the mechanics or anything. But, I did notice that you aren't using the proper template. Below you'll find that I provided the code to paste your work into--that way you won't get in trouble.

Code:
[fancybox3=http://www.socialgiri.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/about-thumbnail-placeholder.png]
[CENTER][GFONT=Raleway][SIZE=12][COLOR=#B0C4DE]ARMOR NAME[/COLOR][/SIZE][/GFONT][/CENTER]

[center][justify]DESCRIBE YOUR ARMOR. Here is where you write out the text description of your armor. Who makes it? What was it designed for? What groups or species use it? What materials is it made out of? How expensive is it? Is it good stuff? Is it mass produced junk? Give us a feel for it.[/justify][/center]

[Center][GFONT=Raleway][SIZE=6][COLOR=#B0C4DE]LEGALITY[/COLOR][/SIZE][/GFONT][/center]

[center][justify]A short sentence or two on how legal your armor is to possess and wear in different parts of the galaxy. Is it legal everywhere, restricted in some places, or illegal in most places? You can get away with a lot on Tatooine, but The Kingdom of Alderaan might frown on citizens walking around in heavily armed war suits.[/justify][/center]

[Center][GFONT=Raleway][SIZE=6][COLOR=#B0C4DE]INTENT[/COLOR][/SIZE][/GFONT][/center]

[center][justify]WHY DO WE NEED THIS? WHAT IMPORTANT NICHE DOES IT FILL? If this is a new tech submission, this section needs to be very detailed and compelling- at least a couple sentences. This is one of the first things we look at when reviewing submissions, and if the only intent you have is "lol i wanna win mor" then we're just going to archive it. For generic tech, this section can be eliminated if you choose.[/justify][/center]

[Center][GFONT=Raleway][SIZE=6][COLOR=#B0C4DE]ADVANCED TECH[/COLOR][/SIZE][/GFONT][/center]
YES/NO. Advanced tech requires an approved plot to build, steal, buy, or otherwise obtain. Most unusual or above average technologies should fit into this category. Also include any other special notes about acquisition, if applicable.
How might one obtain this tech? How many threads should it take and with how much risk?
