Right now we're determining the number of required threads needed in a bounty plot by the rank of the lowest ranked participant.

For example:
Two trackers and a freelancer start a plot to go after a bounty.

The freelancer would need to do 4 threads, but the trackers only need the minimum amount of 2 (due to BHG initiation and 1 increase in rank).

This plot under the current rules needs 4 threads, because only the freelancer is counted.

Which, imho, makes little sense IC. Are the trackers suddenly less skilled? It also encourages the two trackers to do the plot without the freelancer, because without them they can do it much faster.

Now, if you change it up so the highest ranked participant counts, not only can more people be included but you get the more ICly logical result that the freelancer benefits from his more experienced companions.

I also believe that ranking up in the BHG currently serves no purpose unless you have an exclusive partner. After all, what good is it to be a master hunter if you don't also have a master hunter to pair up with?

By changing it up you will also put more meaning behind ranking up in the guild.

I hope I've explained the problem of the current mechanic and my suggestion adequately.
