Guild History

The Bounty Hunters Guild was formed as a means to furnish the galaxy at large with an easier way of posting bounties. The guild was started by a bounty hunter named Kal Jericho, he believed that bounty hunters could truly affect the galaxy if they could put aside their squabbling and work together.
He sent personal messages to all of his peers, trusting that they would in turn spread the news. Using the funds from previous bounties and gun running he established a guild hall on his ship, the Jericho. Although still in its early stages, Kal has high hopes for the budding organazation....

After twenty years of accumliating funds and prestiege. The BHG moved its headquarters into a large asteriod inside a belt close to Tatooine. The Jericho as of now is non operational, and is now a semi-permanent part of the asteriod base. If the need were to arise, it might possibly be able to be pushed back into service. Seeing that the guild would need to protect itself from outside forces, "even though the BHG is a absolutly neutral faction." Ares as the temporary leader decided to start a R&D branch of the guild, run by none other than Shawn Mac'Neal. The newly added department was created to help the guild further enhance its effictivness in the field, allowing for smoother bounties and less collateral damage.

Through preserverance and hard work, the R&D department was able to produce marvels of technology in the bounty hunting world. Most if not all of it was kept exclusive to the guild, but some of the more generic models of weapons and armor were sold to both sides of the war that ravaged the galaxy. The bolstered income from said dealings allowed the guild to further improve its defenses, both at its hidden asteroid base and in all bounty offices spread across the galaxy. The guild had repeated itself in its history, once again it began gun running for those who needed the arms and armor. Mostly it was only done if the cause was just.

As of now the Guild is in a state where most of its members have left in order to find more work within the war or have simply given up the lucrative job that is being a bounty hunter. Leader of Guild, Kal Jericho has since then given up his position as leader of the guild and sought after a life of peace in retirement for the time being. Ares Varga then took up being the leader of Guild for quite some time. At first things were looking for the Guild. Bounties were being put up and hunters beginning to flow in. But in time the small measure of success ran dry. The Guild then fell back into its previous state. Hunters began to leave the once prominent office for better work. Ares Varga then did the same as Kal and took up retirement with his wife, noting that the Guild was at its end.

Brayden Evie, son of Ares Varga refused to see the Guild slip away and meet a silent end. Taking up the mantle of guildmaster, Brayden sought to reform the Guild and bring it out of its state of disrepair. Those still loyal and willing to work for the betterment of the Guild stayed on with Brayden as he slowly but surely reformed the Guild. Some disapproved of shutting down most of its halls and offices on other worlds but Brayden felt that there was not enough to be spread out over the galaxy.

He even stripped away some of the Guild's codes. In the end, Brayden moved their main office beyond the Republic borders and into the Hutt's setting themselves on Nar Shaddaa where most of their work done now.Brayden then reformed the Guild's hunters into ruthless, cold hearted killers who were out for the glory and fame of the hunt. Not to mention all the credits involved. Lastly Brayden shut down the R&D department considering it to be useless in their current status. The proud age of B.H.G. has come to and end only for Brayden to usher in a new chapter soon to be filled with competition between every hunter and more than enough violence than the Guild was used to.

Guild Beliefs

The BHG believes in profits. Making, sustaining, and making more profits. The guild also helps new bounty hunters at finding work, while helping more experienced hunters by giving them exclusive missions. The Guild now believes there is no such thing as a crooked bounty, only business. Most believe that Brayden did not receive the honor that his father had for the Guild. But rather he adopted a cold approach to get the Guild where it needed to be in the galaxy. Known for its cold, ruthless, and efficient approach when taking bounties, bounty hunters is now a title to be feared in the galaxy. Do whatever it takes to get your bounty while still adhering to the few guidelines set in place.

Funding

A fixed fee is taken by the Guild for all bounties that are placed with it. People don't mind paying this, because they know that once the Guild says it will be done, it will be. The Guild runs a few small companies that bring in money for the Guild. Other funding comes from deals with underworld contacts, and those that are willing to pay to have a bounty removed from their head. Or at least the assurance that the guild hunters won't come after them.

Guild Tenants

1. NO bounty is worth dying for.

This rule emphasizes that, no matter how great a reward, a hunter should never take any undue risks to his or her life in order to make a capture. They should also consider how much of a risk whichever bounty was going to be and to plan accordingly. (Of course, how much effort a hunter will put into pursuing a quarry, and how great the reward.) A reward, even if enormous, is unspendable if a hunter is dead.

2. People don't have bounties, only acquisitions have bounties.

This single, cardinal rule, more than any other, defines the way in which bounty hunters approach their chosen profession. It reflects the idea that sentient beings, to some degree, must be accorded respect. If, however, an individual has a bounty placed on them, he or she has ceased to be an individual with rights. No longer a member of the galactic community, the "acquisition" has become fair game. Tears should never be shed over the fate of someone that was, after all, only an "acquisition".

3. No hunter shall slay another hunter.

Simply put, whatever their origin, bounty hunters see themselves as a special breed. They take their lives (and those of others) into their hands each time they hunt. One may not agree with another hunter's motives or insult them for the manner in which they carried out their hunts, but no bounty hunter shall ever take up arms against a fellow hunter. This law applies only to hunters who follow the creed, not to those who have a bounty posted on their head, becoming merely acquisitions. In such cases, the ex-hunter is no longer seen as a member of the common fellowship and old scores can now be settled with impunity.

4. In the hunt one captures or kills, never both.

In cases where the acquisition had been taken alive, that "choice" can not be altered. To kill an acquisition in the course of the hunt is one thing, but to purposely kill an unarmed, helpless being already subdued and unable to resist will be seen as simple slaughter and wanton butchery. An acquisition "killed while attempting to escape" however, would be an entirely different matter altogether.

To do list:

Bounty listings/missions
Bounties are the number one sources of income for a bounty hunter obviously and getting them listed here be the number one priority. Whether these are npced or actual characters you can expect to see them very soon.

R&D Development:
After shutting down the R&D department, Brayden took hold of all blueprints that the department had come up with for starships to weapons and armor. It is one of his objectives to find a suitable buyer for all of these blue prints to rid himself of them.

That's all for now.

I think it's fair to say that Luminado would be fine being allied with the Bounty Hunter's Guild. We could share information and such.

To be honest no matter how many times I read over that faction, I'm still not sure what they are exactly.

Bounty listings: (Open to all Hunters)

Cevbis Gadva
8bf4b64a.jpg
Bounty: 10,000 Credits

Condition: Dead or alive

Reason for bounty posting: Cevbis has multiple counts of murder and destruction of property.

Last Known Location: Nar Shaddaa's Undercity.

Overview: A couple citizens of Nar Shaddaa living down in the Undercity have posted multiple bounties which have been reviewed by the Guild itself. Cevbis has aligned himself with a gang known as the "Red Hook" gang. These gentlemen are petty in levels of threat but the Guild has been called upon to handle one of their members. Cevbis is your regular lackey when it comes to doing the dirty work for the gang. Often snuffing out whoever gets in his way usually via explosives hence his charges on destruction of property. Finding this rodian should be easy but attempt on getting a jump on him. Once he knows you are coming, you might wind up walking into a trap laced with explosives.

Vorlua Rukgor
c5dee70c.jpg

Bounty: 20,000

Condition: (Dead)

Reason for Bounty Posting: Conspiring with slaver operations on Trandosha.

Last Known Location: Trandosha

Overview: Trandoshans have always been involved with illegal operations, especially slavery when it came down to their life long rivals "wookies". Although this is a widely known fact there are a select few "officials" who want Vorlua silenced due to his ties to the government. He has been widely advocating his operations with slavers in capturing wookies and other species before other planets take notice of Vorlua's involvement.

Gunken the Great

3a5ba825.jpg

Bounty: 15,000 (30,00 if captured alive)

Condition: Alive or Dead

Reason for Bounty Posting: A local gang here has requested the Guild to take care of Gunken.

Last Known Location: Nar Shaddaa's Undercity

Overview: Gunken is your regular piece of work when it comes down to playing hero. The thing is though here on Nar Shaddaa is that it might end up killing you or getting yourself mixed up in the wrong crowd. Gunken wears a suit of battle armor and lugs about an actual blaster rifle. The main reason this local gang has posted his bounty is the fact that Gunken has been interfering with their business. Whether it be from gunning down one of their thugs in a shakedown or completely derailing one of their drug shipments. They are willing to pay a hefty sum for bringing him in alive to have their own way with him. But if it comes down to it and Gunken must be put down the gang wont complain but will not be paying out as much.

Note: These bounties are open to more than just one hunter. If two hunters agree to take on the same bounty they may do so. Or they may complete on taking the bounty. Either way it is completely possible but on the occasion that hunters would like to compete they must pm me about this before doing so.

Am I able to be tag teamed into this bounty or do I need to hunt down my own target with Rynn?

Do you have approval to use this faction? Because if its still under debate you cant just keep using it.

I'm not so much pissed that you're taking over, its the way you went about doing it. If you had just asked I would have been fine and dandy with letting you take over and do whatever you wanted, but the fact that you practically stole it makes me think otherwise now.

Chill. The reason I told Horizon he didn't have to ask you is because, aside from 1 post in February, you were inactive since December before you found out Horizon took over the faction. The faction was abandoned.

The Empire would just LOVE it if you could get some of these fellows for us. We pay well, and most of all we don't care if they get roughed up a bit.

I'm up for it, Santoro. Does it have to be in the story rp or can it be a duel roleplay?
