DESCRIPTION​

The Booma Pistol is a very recent innovation in gungan technology. Thanks to a combined design effort between General Yolo Bog, and the science team of the Otoh Gunga Defense League, this weapon was made possible.

Historically, the gungans of Naboo would wield boomas in battle. They were powerful weapons when used by a large force, but in more recent years the gungans would begin realizing exactly how outclassed they were. Blaster weaponry fired faster and more accurately then nearly any gungan could throw a booma. Replicating such a thing with a slingshot would prove preposterous. Thankfully, due to General Yolo's expirence with blaster weapons, he would guide the engineers of the Otoh Gunga Defense League in the creation of a new powerful weapon.

The Booma Pistol had the appearance of a large pistol constructed from wood, chromium, and durasteel. The device was capable of firing miniature boomas, no larger than the size of a common slug-round. These minature boomas were propelled with the force of a blaster bolt, increasing the speed, accuracy, and even damage of the traditional booma. Due to the spherical shape of the boomas, the weapon had only a small ammunition capacity. The trade-off was well worth it however, as the Booma pistol could fire three accurate shots, before an average gungan could even throw one accurate booma. The weapon would also prove to be quiet handy, in the fact that it only took one hand to wield. This allowed the average gungan to wield a shield, while they fired these weapons with their free hand.

LEGALITY​

Illegal outside of the Gungan Grand Army. This is considered a cultural weapon and trade-secret by the Gungans of Naboo.

INTENT​

To create a Pistol for the Gungan Grand Army which represents their technological progress over time. This also helps them better contend with foes who employ blasters.
