http://www.inquisitr.com/1312499/bo...temuera-morrison-in-2016-star-wars-7-spinoff/

The Boba Fett movie may have cast Temuera Morrison as the fabled bounty hunter for the Star Wars spinoff.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, one of the rumor out there is that the writer for the Walking Dead video game series will also being writing the Boba Fett movie script. We also know that the Star Wars spinoff will be filmed at London’s Pinewood Studios in 2015 and that Disney is having a hard time transforming the feared bounty hunter into a good guy.

The Boba Fett movie release date was accidentally confirmed for 2016 when toy manufacturer Hasbro leaked out a list of the entire Star Wars release years:

2014: Rebels
2015: Episode VII
2016: Boba Fett
2017: Episode VIII
2018: Solo
2019: Episode IX
2020: Red Five
At this point all Disney is willing to confirm is that there will indeed be up to three Star Wars spinoff movies but no titles have been announced officially. That being the case, IMDB lists the 2016 spinoff as “Untitled Star Wars Project” and very little information is available at this point. For example, Gary Whitta is mentioned as screenplay writer as mentioned above (although some believe that Lawrence Kasdan will still be involved somehow) in addition to producer Kathleen Kennedy.

But really catches our attention is that Temuera Morrison is specifically listed as Boba Fett. Morrison portrayed Jango Fett and the clone troopers in Attack of the Clones. He also voiced Bobba Fett in the 2004 special edition of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. The other two cast members listed are Mason Brett and Mike Kasem, son of recently deceased Casey Kasem. Maybe one of them could be a droid buddy?

No one in the fandom media, myself included, thinks any of that is credible beyond the Boba Fett and Han Solo movies, which we've known about since the beginning.

You do

: )))))

But seriously, I can tell you what doesn't - IMDb, which is what the website the OP links to is using as proof that Temuera Morrison is playing Boba Fett. IMDb can be edited by anyone, and does not require verification.

I thought they would have cast whats his name, the guy who played lil Boba in attack of the Clones for a Boba spin off movie. But depending on the timeline it would make sense for Temura to be the older Boba since Boba IS a clone.

Yay Glee!!! XD

I liked the idea that was tossed around awhile ago, of some guy killing Jango's son, donning the armour and becoming the Boba Fett that we knew and recognized from the OT. It's a rumour from a while back, but it was a very western idea that I really liked.

I like the idea of Boba being played by Denzel Washington.

They definitely won't go with the idea of having young Boba die and be replaced by a mysterious stranger, not after a whole backstory was created and Morrison's voice was added to The Empire Strikes Back. It's a neat idea but it won't happen. Not unless George Lucas signs off on it and they remove Morrison's voice from Empire.

I'd either set it between Episodes III and IV, with Boba either as a Jedi hunter or someone who has run-ins with Han Solo (or both? since it'll likely be a trilogy). Or, I'd set it after Episode VI, establish that Boba got out of the sarlacc, he got a new face, and now looks like Manu Bennett (because that's who I'd cast).

I just want them to shake the foundations of an already established character, if they have to utilize an already established character, because that immediately makes them more interesting.

He's also not a very good actor. He's fine for the few appearances he made in Episode II and The Clone Wars, but as the leading actor in a feature film? No thanks.

My bestie and I got free drinks at the expense of him trying to talk us into sleeping with him. >_>

Calling him an actor is a stretch. How many things has he really acted in aside from Attack of the Clones and not counting his voice acting.

They should make a movie about something we haven't seen before, something unconventional in regards to this franchise.

Like a musician getting caught up in a space bank robbery, or a movie about space prisoners escaping aboard a circus vessel or even a horror story about a couple of Jedi stranded on a desolate planet, pursued by malfunctioning robots.

GIVE ME SOMETHING NEW.
