Yellow Scars Asteroid Base - Delphon System​

A space mission, the approach to the pirate asteroid base is well guarded. Not only does does the base have laser cannon turrets mounted on it, it also has a small, but still considerable to fleet guarding it at all times. One Maurader Class Frigate guards the Asteroid Pirate base at all times. The Frigate will be guarded by starfighters who accompany the frigate and some from the base' hanger bay. Neutralize the frigates, the turrets, and the fighters. If the frigate is captured instead of destroyed, then the apporch team will be granted a larger reward as a bonus.

2 Squadrons of Stinger fighters and 2 smaller squadrons of Quad Wing Bombers will be supporting the Blackbirds for this mission.

If boarding action against the frigate is to be taken, a veteran group of Blackbird Pirate Raiders will accompany the approach team.

Bonus Objective: Capture the frigate, if possible.[/fancybox4]

The Yellow Scars are a rival pirate group that has been making some gains here and there in the Greater Javin region. With the Blackbirds moving in on Bespin, forcing these guys out would give the Blackbirds greater influence in Greater Javin. The Yellow Scars Asteroid base and the people on it are going about it's tasks. Their leader is monitorning the outside from his command center. For when they aren't raiding, they are keeping a close eye on the perimeter, just in-case forces from other factions decide to knock at their door, whether it be the Sith, Jedi, or Mandalorians. A Maurader Class Frigate, the Dark Arrow stands close to the asteroid base, guarding it. A squadron of six Scimitar Class Interceptors is nested in the Dark Arrow's hanger bay, with it's pilots ready at a moment's notice. Two squadrons of five Scimitars are in the hanger bays, as a well as an elite Duros pirate fighter pilot of some repute named Corran Jorranum is stationed in the hanger with his personal Nova-Class Starfighter. There are also four turbolaser turrets on the construction of the asteroid base as well. If there are any attackers who would foolishly stumble into the bases' perimeter, then the alarm will be sounded, the turrets will fire on any in range, the fighters will be deployed, and the frigate will chase the enemies.

In the eyes of the Blackbirds, they will have their work cut out for them, as the frigate the Yellow Scars have is larger than the White Lady, the flagship of the Blackbirds. Ademaro Di Gino would like it captured, if possible. The Frigate should have a minimal crew considering the organization's size. But if the frigate has to be destroyed, then so be it. It's all in the hands of the apporch team. The Asteroid Base will have the banner of the Blackbirds standing tall though.

Zogg popped his stiff neck as the Quad-Wing Bomber exited hyperspace as close to the asteroid field as was safe, at least according to his pilot anyway. The Besalisk knew nothing about how hyperspace travel worked other than it got him where he wanted to go, it was the where that was always more interesting to him. And while the drifting hunks of rock and dust didn't look like much, this place was going to get very interesting very fast and possibly quite deadly. But was being crammed into the turret of the bomber's turret along side all of his gear really worth it, especially with the bomber's incredibly slow hyperdrive taking what seemed like forever to reach their target? Zogg had to admit that if it was simply for a space battle, then no. But when presented with the opportunity to board and capture a whole frigate, taking it the old fashioned way....... It was just an opportunity the pirate simply could not pass up.

He flipped the safety off of the dual laser cannon and rotated the turret into the ready position as the pilot started moving into the asteroid field. Zogg took this opportunity to study the gun's fairly impressive sensor display, taking in what he could of the bomber's escort. It seems that all of the Blackbird ships had arrived in formation just outside of the asteroid field, and now all of them were accelerating into it as quickly as caution allowed, stingers starting to pull ahead of the bombers. Things were going smoothly thus far, but how long would that really last? The plan as he knew it had them maneuvering through the asteroids to the base to avoid detection as long as possible, allowing the Blackbirds to hit the Yellow Scars's emplacements and fighters as they were being scrambled into action. But If they were detected too far out then the defenses would be ready. Fun as that may be, Zogg was itching to get out of this flying box and get into a real fight.

Turning in his seat he flashes a big grin at the two raider packed into the turret with him, hoping it would help put them at ease even if he didn't truly feel that joyous at the moment. It was standing room only behind the gunner's seat, and the three of them had been packed in there for hours. Needless to say neither of them were particularly happy to be there. "You to better strap in, things are about to get bumpy soon."

With grunts of effort they managed to untangle themselves from one another and press themselves against the hull and clipped themselves onto hard-points. Letting out a very genuine chuckle of amusement Zogg turned back to the transparasteel bubble of the turret and began scanning for any sigh of the Yellow Scars. A few minutes later he watched the fighters disappear around the curve of one large asteroid, and as the bomber followed them around the curve the base came into view, durasteel and lights gleaming in the darkness. Setting the turret to alternating fire and gripping the turret control tightly a much, much larger smile split his lips, exposing his broad teeth. "Here we go boys and girls."​
