DESCRIPTION

The Black King Hi-Power Pistol is a classic handgun produced by the Black King Arms Company, an arms manufacturer that is not as widely known throughout the galaxy as some others. With a limited catalogue and customer base, Black King was once a steady supplier throughout the years, though most of the company's items have dwindled in development, particularly as a result of Imperial and First Order activity and the aftermath. Nonetheless, the Black King Hi-Power Pistol, though no longer produced, remains as one of the most versatile weapons around, looking as clean as it can kill.

Offering a perfect balance of handling, size and firepower, the Hi-Power grants 50 shots per power pack with a maximum range of 50 meters. Additionally, it can be set to lethal or non-lethal with its stun-shot feature. Between the ammunition and stopping power, the pistol is a reliable choice for just about anyone, but even more so those who know how to shoot. Despite its inception and development over years past, to no longer be manufactured in the present time, the pistol has aged as gracefully as a Twi'lek's lekku.

The Black King Hi-Power appeals to a relatively niche percentage of the galaxy's population, namely those who are collectors or old school, or simply those who never really bothered to upgrade to a more recent handgun. Arguably, there is no real 'upgrade' from this weapon which already works quite well. It fits the hand and looks good while in it, with a durasteel frame and plastoid grip that can look like plastic or wood. A number of firearm enthusiasts appeal to this appealing piece for its symbolism as much as its specifications, marking it as a weapon to fall in love with and keep your loved ones safe, or simply shoot at those you love to shoot at.

LEGALITY
Legal. In times past, certain police and military organizations would carry this weapon as a sidearm, as much as civilians and criminals would. Today, and considering that it is no longer in production, the Black King Hi-Power pistol is more of a collector's item or the weapon of choice for those who never chose anything else.

INTENT
To create a weapon that more personally appeals to my character as a reskin of the DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol, and to offer other players a more down to earth pick.

RESTRICTIONS
None

There is a general precedent on the sight that it is preferable that blasters look more like blasters than real world guns where possible. Typically this is done by finding unusual looking or obscure guns and modifying them. This is a picture of a Browning Hi-power pistol, almost called a Hi-power pistol. Calling it a blaster doesn't feel very in the star wars theme to me. If you wanted a handgun that looks like a hand gun you could carry a slug thrower.

Not an important criticism.

I don't want a handgun that is a slugthrower. I want a blaster pistol.

Problem is not having a Browning image on hand that is more Star Wars-esque, as the DC-17 is basically a futuristic Mauser.
Any ideas?

The name is simply for the sake of ease. I don't have the imagination for a Star Wars-esque name. The gun is based off of the real world Hi-Power so it seemed to make sense.

How do I fix it?

The Mausers and other handguns used in SW have been altered in some way to make them fit stylistically with the Star Wars setting. This image is just a stock Browning Hi-Power; a fine weapon, but not something that fits this setting.
