I've just finished Thrawn. Very happy with it. lol I love Timothy Zhan. As the title states, I'm looking for personal opinions on your favorite Star Wars books. I want to dive into the new canon stuff, but I'm not sure where to start! Let me know what you think and thanks in advance!!

Actually haven't read that many Nu canon books yet.
I have read Battlefront: Twilight Company however, and I definitely second Outlander's favoritism for it. A very refreshing story that's down in the nitty gritty of an average soldiers life and gives an interesting take on the rebellion.

I havent read a whole lot of the new canon books. I will however echo Outlander and Narsi by saying that Battlefront: Twilight Company and Lost Stars are phenomenal, i cant really decide which one takes first however.

Man, really happy to see all this Twilight Company love. I never hear anyone talk about how good that book is. It seems to always get overshadowed when someone mentions Lost Stars (Which is also amazing, but still).

I haven't actually read the book, but I've listened to it; Ahsoka, it's a great book and it's also voiced by Ahsoka's voice actor from Rebels/Clone Wars, which makes it even better.

I love listening to books. lol I'm a huge fan of Audible. Currently, listening to the Force Awakens. I'll add that one to my wish list along with Twilight company and Aftermath. That's really cool that her voice actor is doing it. I won't lie though I really like Marc Thompson. Dude is a great voice actor.

Tarkin, Ahsoka, Lost Stars. I've heard decent things about the Aftermath trilogy and Thrawn.

I love the new Thrawn book! I read Lost Stars in personal record breaking time, so basically it is a fantastic book. The Tarkin book is also really good. A bit slow to read at times but it brings a ton of depth into the character and stays true to the way he was portrayed by Peter Cushing which makes it all the better. I am now reading Lords of the Sith which has not managed to grip me as much as the other books, yet. The Aftermath series are next on my list and judging from the comments above I will have to read Twilight Company, too :)

Really? I heard it was somewhat lackluster.

But you're probably right on the others. Haven't read Thrawn yet, so I'll have to see how that goes. And @Radiwalker Lords of the Sith is a bit disappointing IMO.

The first one is a bit lackluster. But the second one is good, and I think the third one is pretty great. It brings up a lot of really interesting stuff, has some satisfying conclusions for the characters we've followed, and segways nicely into the formation of the First Order and its clandestine nature.

That is just about what I have heard regarding the series too.

@The Living Daylights, if that is so I might keep it as a bathroom read and focus on something else XD

I forgot a preordered Tarkin and Aftermath and never downloaded them. I'll have to get on that.

I was so thoroughly unimpressed by Heir to the Jedi that I never even bothered finishing it.
