Force sensitive, trained but slightly behind most of those his age
Appearance: Ben is a tall slender young man, around 6’3”. He is Caucasian, with dark brown hair and green eyes, and will sometimes grow a goatee and mustache, but doesn’t like to grow his beard. His face is a soft square. With rounded instead of chiseled chin and jaw line. He wears loose fitting Jedi robes, when away from conflict. But will wear a republic armor chest piece and gauntlets when in conflict areas.
Attributes: Ben is incredibly intelligent, and enjoys tinkering with and repairing droids, starships, and other vehicles. From his time as a smuggler, he has gotten good at jerryrigging quick fixes for most vehicles. And has a basic understanding of starship engines and equipment. While he is not the best pilot, he has mastered all of the intermediate fighter drills in the simulator. He doesn’t often perform risky maneuvers, or fly outside of the drill list, but is a good pilot.
He is incredibly introverted, preferring to spend his time meditating, tinkering with droids, or starships, practicing his piloting in the simulator, or doing lightsaber drills on his own. He get incredibly uncomfortable when around other people, especially women. He has adjusted well to life in the temple, and is able to speak with those around the temple safely. But becomes uncomfortable when forced out of the temple when on missions, or other such reasons to leave. He becomes irrational, and will say or do things he does not mean, or want when he is forced to be with lots of people he doesn’t know for a long period of time. He also does not take criticism, and is unable to ignore insults or disrespect to him, or those he cares about, and can be pushed into a rage, where he will not think and simply attack. He is incredibly insecure, as before the temple, the smuggler that raised him would abuse him, causing mental damage that he fights to repair constantly.
Personality: Ben often prefers to keep a calm attitude. Seeking to emulate little emotion, but still remain comforting and kind. But if he is pushed to his limit, he can get rather offensive, attacking someone either physically or emotionally without thinking of what he is doing or saying.
Biography: Born to a poor family on a remote moon in the outer rim, one that he has long forgotten its name, Ben Kendor had initially gone unnoticed to the Jedi, as a force sensitive child. At the age of 4, his parents where murdered by a group of thugs for what little they owned, Ben escaped the encounter, but was homeless, and alone for a long period of time. Forced to steal, trick and fight to survive on the streets. When he was 5, he attempted to steal a valuable item from a smuggler by the name of Joan Kreg, who caught him, and decided to utilize the young man for smuggling and stealing. He began showing his force sensitivity at 7, and Jonas decided to have the boy use it to help them with their duties. Forcing him to learn force grapple, pull, mind tricks and choke. With the help of young Ben, Jonas amassed a small fortune.
But, while on an especially dangerous run for the Hutts, to steal weapons from the republic, their ship was damaged, and began tearing itself apart, despite abusing the boy, Jonas redeemed himself by putting Ben in the only escape pod, and died aboard the vessel as it’s engines detonated. There, with nothing but him and the pod, Ben floated in deep space for several days. Until a Jedi, who was aboard a republic ship at the time, felt his presence and forced the ship to go and save him. Ben never met the Jedi master who discovered him, as when he finally awoke the master had left to the front lines. Ben was sent to the Jedi temple when he was well enough, as the republic saw his ability to use the force, and decided to allow the Jedi to decide his fate. He was 12 when he arrived at the temple. And trained there for 8 years till this day.
Ben is a skilled mechanic, who enjoys learning how to fix new ships droids and vehicles. As a pilot, he can do the drills the simulator has incredibly well, but thinking outside the box is not something he can currently do, since he has no real combat experience. He is a trained force user, and prefers to use telekinetic and force sensing over all others. Not using any of his force powers on another person anymore since he fears what he might do to them. He is a skilled lightsaber combatant, able to use the 3rd lightsaber form, Soresu. Preferring its defensive nature.
Gear: currently Ben only carries his blue single bladed lightsaber, and a small belt toolkit with small versatile tools in case he needs to repair or work on something.
Role plays: Ben is currently uninvolved in any role plays.
Relationships: as a young Jedi, he does not currently have any relationships, but is not opposed to one.
Ship: Ben does not currently own a ship.
Droid: Ben does not currently own a droid, but is often tinkering with the droids around the Jedi temple.
Pets: Ben does not own any pets.
Kills: Ben has not killed anyone and hopes to never have to.
Combat: other than with lightsaber training droids, Ben has no combat or dueling experience.
