Phoeya II had been the Sith contact for the base for whenever things needed to have a public, Sullustian, face. Of course she had never been happy with it but neither of the twins had ever thought that it would matter. The Sith had subjugated the Sullustians, who gave a damn if one of them was salty about it? Boohoo, maybe try defending your planet better in their eyes. The Han'se twins, Grentan and Vermill'a, had long since gotten used to ignoring the native Sullustians unless it was time for them to work triple shifts and they were required to keep them in line in a more direct capacity.

Which was why Grentan was very annoyed that when they actually needed to get ahold of her, she was 'otherwise engaged' according to her PA.

"Listen here you little shrak, I want Phoeya on my com unit in the next five seconds or I'm going to personally see to it that she spends the rest of her life regretting having ever been born!"

Vermill'a looked at her twin before scowling and looking away. Neither of them were happy right now mainly because they'd gotten everything they ever wanted; they had been promoted! They had ascended higher than the snide little speck of a man who had held them under his control for the last year. Why were they unhappy with this? Because they had inherited his responsibilities and, right now, that included their base being utterly destroyed.

Hundreds dead, some of them Sith as opposed to the disposable cannon fodder that made up the rank and file. Even Lieutenant Sonhut wasn't answering, no matter what combination of channels either twin tried. They had been away from the base itself, working on some field tactics with some of the men, when everything started going to shrak. Vermill'a shook her head from her position within the passenger area of the TAM-6 she was in with her brother.

"We need to assume it's the FWA."

An idea that Grentan found laughable but, annoyingly, his sister was right. They had to assume it was the worst case scenario. Reaching for the integrated comlink, he spoke to the drivers and men within the trio of K79-S80 transports that were flying alongside them.

"Prepare for combat."
he barked over the comlink, "If anything moves in the wreckage of the base I want it dragged to me on its knees before it can blink. Lethal force is authorized against anyone who stands in our way or resists!"

Phoeya would regret not answering his summons when he gunned down her worthless drones of workers when they, inevitably, got in the way. The base was coming up so Grentan opened the side door of the anti-aerospace crawler to hang half out the door, holding onto a bar as he did so. There was something off about this whole thing but he couldn't put his finger on it and Vermill'a was already convinced this had to the be work of Rangers.

He remained unconvinced.

Sevrin charged through the facility to find the Sullustan floor managers that had rallied the workers. They were all outfitted with any weapons they could find - more demolition packs, blunt force weapons and blasters. The Sephi could see a mix of fear and hope in their eyes as they realized what was happening. As they realized what they had wanted for years was happening. It was happening today. It was happening now.

The tall Sephi wasted no time in guiding them up to surface, always in contact with the other Jedi. He was still dressed in the vest of the inspections officer. Sevrin could sense the tension all around him, but not a single person backed away from this. Hundreds of Sullastan workers made their way to the surface. Shrill alarms began to resound from deep in the tunnels and Drow and Isen had commed in that they had finished their part.

Sevrin came out of the facility doors with everyone filing out behind him as the explosions began to rock the base. He never stopped, making his way towards the base for the fight he knew was about to come. The hundreds of Sullustans filed out with him, along with any Jedi that joined.

The base began to sink into the ground and into the lava below, completely unsalvageable. He could feel rage and hatred as the Sith began to send groups of reinforcements. Any survivors from the base would also take up arms.

Sevrin came to a pause as he looked across to see the tanks and the troops coming their way. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before exhaling slowly, time slowing down all around him. He could sense the apprehension in those around him. He could sense hesitation as they saw the vehicles and they knew Sith approached them. He could sense the fear that was almost palpable.

And then he heard someone approaching him.

He glanced over to see Phoeya next to him, having tossed aside all avenues of plausible deniability. In her hand was a blaster that clearly once belonged to a Sith. She said nothing, her gaze hard and fire in her eyes. Sevrin looked back to see the workers looking to her, and they stood up straighter. They gripped their weapons tighter. They whispered and chanted among themselves. Sevrin looked back at Phoeya and she slowly nodded.

The Sephi tossed off the vest. He tossed off the keycards. He tossed off the armored layers he wore. Till he was clearly adorned in the robes of a Jedi.

A blue saber ignited in his right hand. It would shine like a beacon to anyone that looked from a great distance.

Sevrin turned to look over his left shoulder, “ARE YOU WITH ME?” He shouted, hearing a collective cheer from the workers. He looked over his right shoulder, “ARE YOU WITH ME?” An even louder cheer.

“Then we take back this planet today,” He said quietly as his icy gaze fixed ahead. He said nothing more as he charged forward with the group, calling the Force to himself. He channeled it to focus on the volatile ground in front of the Anti-Aerospace crawlers. Within moments, a great fissure formed there directly in their path. The abrupt division in the ground would potentially make the forward moving vehicles tumble over and collapse into lava.

One thing became abundantly clear that moment.

This was not FWA.

This was not Sector Rangers.

This was the Jedi.

And every last Sith would remember that.

The attack was fully underway as Zathria made her way back to the surface. Even from this distance, the ground shook like a planet quake as the detonation erupted. Pillars of smoke that had nothing to do with the planet's volcanic atmosphere rose in the distance.

She could make out the top of the base sinking below the ground. She knew that lava would begin flooding whatever was left of it and she felt a moment's pity for the people inside. But this was a battle, and now was not the time for sentiment.

She tightened the satchel closer to her body and pulled the lightsaber from her pocket. She gripped it tightly in hand, her eyes sweeping over all the workers that had come out to fight. Thrill and fear came like waves from those gathered. There was defiance in each of them and an inspiration from listening to Sevrin's cry of defiance. For the first time in years they could see light at the end of the tunnel and a way to be free of the oppression that the Sith had wielded over them.

And she smiled. She could feel fear and anxiety already beginning to tug at her mind in preface to a battle, but she also knew that this was something worth fighting and dying for. Her palms were sweaty and her heart was pounding, but she turned to look at the Sith forces coming out of the rubble.

She thumbed the activator on her saber, its purple blade casting a glow over the blackened ash of this world.

For Sullust!! she shouted as they began to charge, others taking up the cry as well.

Blaster shots traveled past and began to slam into the approaching Sith forces. Zathria ran wide to the right, hoping to get the flank on the enemy and a glance back showed that several people were following her. It was almost inevitable that genuine Sith would come out to face them eventually, but removing as many of the rank and file soldiers as possible before then was important.

The Toydarian seemed to know what he was doing, at least based on what he said regarding the repulsortank. It was an older RX-200 Falchion model. Hannibal was mildly familiar with it, although more in theory than practice. Even his mercenary mother wouldn't teach her kid how to fight in a tank.

Probably for the best Vako was the one doing the tank-ing today.

"Good question! Dunno yet, but somethin'" Hannibal answered as he approached the vehicle again, stripping the jacket from his shoulders with a grimace. Next followed the rest of the cover clothes, leaving him only in his distinctive, if abbreviated, brightly coloured tunic in yellow, blue, and purple. He re-adjusted his belt and took his own lightsaber off this time from a satchel, laying it in the palm of his cybernetic left hand.

Metal fingers closed around it and he leapt fully atop the tank, away from the guns.

"Head towards trouble!"

THEME

There was a very loud boom as the fortress was blown to absolute hell. It was far more effective than his slapdash improvised ship attack from the last time he was here. The ground shook and stone cracked beneath the structure as it fell into the crust of the occupied planet. Hannibal watched it fall from where he was behind the crowds of factory workers and civilians armed with what they could, watched as Sevrin sent up a cheer with a few words. Hannibal could appreciate that.

A great many were here to fight to take back their planet from the Sith. It gave the young Jedi a confused mess of feelings. Fear, anxiety, anticipation, hope, sorrow. But that was something to sort through another time.

All in all a good way to get things fired up, but Hannibal had a few choice words of his own as they approached the falling fortress. The green blade ignited and he put a leg up on a bit of hatch, tip facing the oncoming Sith forces and the biggest grin on the Jedi's face as he rode forward on the top of the tank.

"YO!!! I'm Hannibal, Jedi Master! We are with you!"

The fighting began in earnest with blaster fire toward the approaching Sith forces. Sevrin cracked the earth before the incoming vehicles and Zathria was going for some off-center flanking. Hannibal, though, might get to show his rank for once.

"Target enemy transports!" he told Vako, and then the Force began to flow through him like the icy and impartial winds of winter.

His right hand came up with fingers curling toward one of the troop transports, the Force grabbing hold of it's front to yank it to the side in the path of the others and cause a crash. Ideally such that Vako could light them up with the heavy cannon while they sorted that mess out.

In stories was all Vako had known about the Jedi before his encounter with them on Coruscant. He had written them off as complete and utter lies and nonsense about their inspiring prowess. He had managed to evade and survive his encounter with what was supposed to be an utterly unbeatable foe. It had not seemed to be anything really of note, and perhaps that was why the Sith were coming back at full steam ready to break apart the galaxy and assume the mantle of ruler in the chaos.

But Vako was left utterly in awe of the situation he found himself in now. He knew the laborers were running hot on the world, and that they were not taking well to the Sith occupation, it was apparent on every face that was getting battered and bruised by the autocratic for that was ruling them. This was the last thing he would have expected.

Just an hour ago he was sitting in a cell utterly hopeless... and now he was the armored spear of some kind of revolution!?

Maybe some of the stories about Jedi were true?

Whatever the case, Vako was in the thick of it now, and a battle line was drawn with him firmly on one side. If he wanted to live, he better do what he did well, which was kill people and break things.

The scanners brought the transports into view quickly. He could read them as well as other tanks coming to face off. That would be a problem, but only if Vako exposed the
RX-200 to their range of fire. He thought it best to not present a target, and primed the main cannon.

The "commander" of the
tank, his Jedi savior, directed him to fire on the transport.

He didn't have to tell Vako twice. They appeared to be having some sort of malfunction in their steering as they were crashing into one another.

"Transports in range!" Vako called out over the intercom. "Locked on!"

Vako took hold of the main cannon toggle stick with his right hand, and brought the targeting viewer far down to his eyes. He took aim on the transports and fired a rapid volley, one round per second.

"Torcha'da!" Vako yelled out "Heads down!" in Hutteese.

THWOOOOO THWOOOOOO THWOOOO

As the main cannon sounded, Vako decided to test the power cells on
RX-200 Falchion tank and with his left hand he started laying down covering fire streams of laser blasts towards where he assumed Sith troopers would be retreating from the transports.

BRAHBRAHBRAHBRAHBRAHBRAHBRAHBRAHBRAH

The rotary lasers rattled off brilliant red laser blasts. Vako was confident he had the jump on their adversary for this opening volley, what would remain was how well this horde of workers handled anything else.

Drow and Isen stayed in the ambulance and pushed it to its limits to get back in the action. The implosion under the surface created all sorts of collateral damage topside with new lava springs popping up in random places, unknown sinkholes that were suddenly collapsing in on themselves. Geysers of hot lava suddenly sprang out of the ground dozens of meters high. Drow expertly guided the vehicle through the factory and the new obstacle course created by the explosion set off by the two of them. One geyser of lava exploded upwards some 30 meters high in front of them, and Drow narrowly had time to miss it. A molten piece of rock landed on top of the ambulance, melted through the roof, and plopped down in the back seat just a foot or so behind Isen. The Kiffar lifted a brow at Drow before giving way to a grin and looking forward once more.

The fighting had started and Drow decided to drive toward the transports. They passed by Hannibal standing on top of a tank that was firing at the troop transports with about four or five dozen Sullustans charging them just in front of the tank. Who was inside the tank directing the blasters? Isen had no idea, but they seemed to be able to handle on things.

Drow stopped the ambulance right at the front lines with the charging Sullustans. Isen got out, ignited one of his cyan blades which appeared even brighter against the obsidian backdrop that was Sullust. Isen thought back to the last time he was here. It was a bittersweet victory, a hard fought win that left the Jedi battered and beaten and left Ajan Kloss even more open to the devastating attack that completely changed the outlook of the Jedi Order.

But today, on Sullust, this was the Return of the Jedi, and it was Jedi that would be striking back.

Sprinting with the front line of Sullustan soldiers,he pointed to a piece of shifted ground, such that the ground broke and lifted a long ridge before them. It would serve well as a bunker of sorts. Isen pointed to it with the glowing blade of his lightsaber. "Get to the ridge! Use it as cover and open fire!"

Isen sprinted to the ridge with them and watched as the Sullustans unleashed volley after volley on the Sith transports and the Sith soldiers if they were to come out of the transports. The Sullustan revolutionaries weren't particularly trained, but their superior numbers and the fact that they were shooting from cover should serve give them an advantage. Isen's tactical decision would force the Sith soldiers to decide: Either charge the Sullustans firing upon them, mostly with their own personal small arms fire in the open field, or try to take cover where they were and continue taking a barrage of heavy cannon fire from the tank. Isen's icy gaze stayed fixated on the Sith across the battlefield. His natural inclination was to charge, to attack. But more powerful than his impetuous nature to charge, was his unrelenting desire to win.

While Drow did indeed slow down to let Isen off, the Kiffar was mistaken in thinking that the Ishi Tib stopped completely. Indeed, Drow continued to floor the gas as soon as Isen was safely out of the vehicle. A vehicle itself could be a weapon in trying times and that's exactly how Drow intended to use this ambulance at their disposal. He angled it forward so that it would just pass to the left of the ridge that Isen and the Sullustans were going for if it kept going along its path in a straight line.

The ambulance gunned forward towards the charging Sith but Drow kept his foot pressed down until he was within spitting distance of the ridge. Sure that the ambulance's forward momentum was enough to crash into the approaching Sith lines without his assistance, Drow dove out of the vehicle. Turning his dive out into a controlled somersault, Drow got to his feet, ignited his saber, ready to block any incoming fire as he dove the last bit of distance for cover behind the ridge.

"Long time no see pal!" Drow would say, assuming he and Isen survived long enough for them both to make it to the ridge.

It wasn’t difficult for Vahn for to figure where he was needed. The aftershocks of the explosion of the main sith base still rattled the stones at his feet. Down below, the remaining Sith scrambled in disorder; he figured they wouldn’t be able to organize an effective resistance until long after the crucial moment had passed. He kicked his speeder into gear, and burned hard towards where he knew the fight would be waged.

The sounds of growing battle grew close; the high tension reports of blasters, the distant howling of men injured and enthralled to the pulse of battle. Vahn didn’t have much time to decide on a course of action. By all rights, he had planned solely on holding the emergency retreat point open. But now, well...he had a gut feeling another saber wouldn’t hurt.

Vahn opened a line through his comm. Before the operation, he had designated a frequency for the Jedi to contact him through in case they needed him to get ready for evac. Everyone has a plan before they get punched in the mouth, though.

“This is Vahn, Yea, I know, it got boring back at the landing zone, but I figured you could use some help. I’m cutting wide left around the Sith flank, let’s try and get them from as many angles as we can.”

Vahn’s speeder emerged through the long cooled remnants of an ancient lava flow that had carved a deep, sinuous furrow in the ground; long and deep enough for him to obscure his speeder until the last possible moment when it blazed fast onto the far left flank of the growing battle for Sullust.

The first warning that the Twins had that they were not facing the FWA was the way that people stood out to them, suddenly, in the Force. That said ‘introductions’ included breaking the ground beneath their Crawlers was noted with a snarl as Grentan threw himself out from the crawler he was in, landing on the edge of the newly created fissure, his red lightsaber igniting in his right hand. His sister managed to leap from the crawler as well, grabbing hold of the jagged rock for a moment before bringing herself up to the edge as well.

Men inside the crawler died but neither Twin cared.

“Jedi!”

Of course.

Of course the FWA and their Rangers would be too spineless to actually attack them, to try and retaliate for either their mind-rape of the Trys woman or their sacking of Denon. Only the Jedi existed within the Galaxy to give the Sith even the barest hint of a challenge. Reaching into the Dark Side, Grentan launched a large boulder at one of the primary Jedi (Sevrin) while his sister focused on watching his defence, allowing him to focus as he began to launch chunks of the terrain at the Jedi instigator.

Further to the other side, the transports managed to evade the same fissure that swallowed up both crawlers, their repulsor lifts assisting. However, the driver of one of them panicked slightly when, despite it’s forward momentum, the front of his truck started to move right, right into the side of one of the other transports. Panicking, he slammed on the emergency brakes, lessening the impact slightly by robbing Hannibal’s move of the advantage of using their own momentum against them.

It was, however, too late for the transport that had been targeted by the ramming move and, it seemed, the Ion Cannon of the tank.

Already tilting dangerously, the ion cannon shot impacted the side of the transport, sending it tipping onto its side where it came to rest “belly up” as it were. As the tank in question was firing a powerful ion weapon, the transport was entirely fried, forcing the troopers inside to activate the emergency exit functions to manually crawl out. Using the over-turned tank as cover, the troopers gathered themselves.

The remaining two transports course-corrected, avoiding the second shot from the ion cannon as the weapon of the tank began to overheat as the driver/gunner had not started using the secondary reactor for the primary weapon. With it activated, the tank would become a sitting duck though so it was to be expected that it wasn’t engaged immediately.

Deciding to present a solid front at the orders of their commander, the two remaining transports parked up, shutting down their engines to sit heavily on the volcanic ground right up against each other, their sides presented to the Sullustians and Jedi. The troopers dismounted, using the two parked transports as cover as they pulled out their secondary equipment, including a pair of launchers for each transport and an e-web turret each.

The gunners within the transports, however, stayed, one of the turrets opening fire on the troops advancing toward the ridge, blasting at Sullustians as they followed the Jedi to the cover of the ridge. The second gunner focused on the Ambulance, blasting it full of holes before it could finish crossing the distance until it was only a burning shell that impacted the transport.

And against a parked, armored, military transport said shell did little more than scratch the paintjob.

However, while the beginnings of the battle seemed to be going well for the Jedi and their allies, it was just that; the beginning. Not alerted to the Jedi presence due to their low-level use of the Force and subtly, the true commander of the Sith base on Sullust hadn’t immediately come down on the Jedi. But with the base partially exploding, imploding and sinking into the lava flow below, what had happened could no longer be ignored.

From behind the Sullustian and Jedi lines, part of the Sith base exploded outward, a plume of smoke and ash erupting from one of the highest rooms within the base. The streak of darkness arched downward in a controlled manner. Jedi across the battlefield would be able to feel the Dark Side in use as the ash was forcibly dispersed, revealing Darth Vyrassu and her two DT-Series Sentry Droid bodyguards.

The Darth rose from her kneeling position, energy crackling along her fingertips as she glared hatefully at the Sullustians but, most of all, the Jedi.

“Surrender and DIE, Jedi!”

Sevrin was pleased to see the tank sink into the fissure he had created. What he hadn’t been expecting, however, were two Force users to pop out of it. The Sephi saw the boulder coming his way and he applied his own use of the Force to crack it in half. The boulder never touched ground before the two halves were hurled directly back the way they came, with a little present for both siblings.

While they would be distracted by the boulder throw, Sevrin coiled the Force around their legs to yank them into the fissure they were directly next to. It would be a very quick tug and drop from just how on the edge they were already.

Regardless of how his maneuver turned out, Sevrin would feel the pulse in the Force of something truly dark and evil. He glanced over to see the arrival of the Sith Councilor Vyrassu, the villain that was responsible for multiple Jedi fatalities.

“Cover me,” He said icly to Phoeya II near him. She and a group of Sullustans began to rain fire on the siblings if they somehow avoided a casual toss into lava.

Sevrin called out towards anyone that had the capacity to do so, “TAKE OUT DT DROIDS!”

The Sephi paused to regard the woman, blank faced stare gazing back at her as he mused aloud, "Oh? Not even surrender or die? We must be doing something right."

He knew she was twisted and outright insane. However, one of the reasons she was on the council was likely her strict devotion and loyalty to the Eternal. It was perhaps the only thing that kept her in line this whole time. Sevrin gazed at her and began a kind of attack no Jedi had subjected her to before.

An assault on her mind.

Within moments she would hear whispers of doubt from the Eternal. She would see the Eternal meeting privately with the council and discussing her removal. She would hear whispers and discussions about how she was unhinged and unsuitable. And how new Sith Lords were going to take her place. While Sevrin wasn’t powerful enough to pierce through her mind, the very topic he focused on would hopefully set her curiosity and paranoia ablaze to where she would want to know more. And if she wanted to know more, she would keep going down the rabbit hole Sevrin created for her.

This would all be to allow another Jedi to strike her at the same time.

Zathria had swung wide, a small contingent of rebels along with her as they rained fire upon the enemy from the flank. The battlefield had developed quickly, with a transport being frozen and flipped and troops beginning to unload. Repeaters were preparing to open up on the Jedi and troops along the ridge, the twins were a real and present threat, and something... else was here.

The shift in the Force was unmistakable. And that was when she felt the shift in the Force. A truly dark presence that whispered of madness and sadism. Zathria had not been in the presence of a Sith Councilor before, but she knew them all by name and face. Darth Vyrassu had a reputation even among the Sith for her psychotic ways, and she was well known for having killed members of the Order in the past.

There were many targets to choose from and almost no time to think. Zathria's movement had managed to fly under the radar, and she took advantage of that. At the side of the tank now, she leapt up, landing atop it, saber swiping down to remove the barrels from the turret on top of it so it couldn't be used against her nor could it continue firing at the ridge.

She reached out with the Force, and pulled hard on the E-web repeater on the ground below, yanking it so it slammed into soldiers like a battering ram. Coordinating fire would be far more difficult with a Jedi all-but-within your ranks, and Zathria still had a fall back point when everyone inevitably started shooting at her.

This attack served a single purpose: disruption.

With the fire on the ridge decreased, Zathria was counting on them to capitalize on this. It would allow that force to open fire, pinning down the Councilor's bodyguards or the twins.

The red blades of the Sith glowed brightly against the black backdrop of Sullust. It would appear that at least initially Sevrin would work on the twins, but it became apparent as the dark presence that popped up behind them would get most of his attention. Isen had to fight good sense not to go after what was clearly a Dark Lord presence behind him. His job was to help the Sullustans destroy the rank and file, and besides, there were two Sith Isen could play with in their front lines...if they didn't get lavalized by Sev's Force pull.

Isen made his way to a Sullustan who clearly had military experience. He was outfitted with an A280C military grade blaster rifle and took enough time to throw on some of his old fatigues before he stormed out to join the revolt. The Jedi grabbed the Sullustan by the shoulder to get his attention while he was firing and pointed to a high spot that would flank the transport vehicles and the two tanks. "Take 20 men and head to that hill. The main force here will cover. Once there, advance as quickly as you can on their location. You're in charge of that squad, soldier. Advance hard and advance fast. They'll have to contend with the majority of the fire coming from this ridge. Go, and move fast."

The Sullustan gave Isen a salute and quickly rounded 20 Sullustans that were in good shape and could move quickly. Isen yelled to those remaining, "Cover those on the move, and stay your ground!"

The flanking force and the main force should provide a lot of eye candy for opposing forces, and keep them relatively pinned back unless they wanted to retreat. Isen's hope was that all of these main forces, one of them on the move would allow him to make his way toward the twins relatively unnoticed. If Sevrin's Force attack drug them into the lava, Isen could simply pivot and attack the troops from the opposite side of the flanking squad, a modified pincer to completely eliminate the Sith forces. But, deep down, Isen reaaaaaally hoped at least one of the twins was well enough to put up a fight.

Vako was smiling as he watched the transport get hit, but one the others moved out of the way he recognized the complicated nature of the situation. They were disembarking troops, returning fire with cannons, and they were in the midst of a full and very real battle. This was not what Vako thought his days were going to look like but it was the fact of where he was. And in either case it was still a bit safer then the situation in Hutt Space, which was a very liquid nighmare of virus and usurpers killing everything indiscriminately.

Certainly Vako was the farthest thing from some honorable and trained soldier. Vako was experienced, and Vako had other ideas on how to handle certain situations. While he realized the workers around him weren't exactly soldiers and needed as much cover as possible... Vako also recognized his own need for cover.

He pulled the tank back slightly, letting the workers that were advancing to be the easiest target. The last thing he needed was everyone opening fire on him and this precious piece of hardware he was sitting in.

He levied the anti air lasers on those Sith troopers taking cover before him and rained fire on them in a series of brilliant volleys of light that were designed to take down starfighters and airspeeders. All the while making the drifting trudge backward. Accuracy perhaps was less important then the sustained fire.

THWOOOO

Another Ion shot left his cannon, as he heard the second reactor spinning up behind him. The Falchion tank was still quite maneuverable and Vako drifted the tank side to side hoping to avoid direct fire and making himself a harder target.

"Can't you Jedi just melt their brains or something?" Vako called over the intercom to his 'Commander' on top. "Throw them into the sun maybe?" Vako was speculating at their powers, but he did not want to be stuck in a conventional fight like this for long.

More good news! Now only had a crash ensued, the Falchion tank was excellent at handling other vehicles as a result of the ion-based main cannon. Bad news, it was power hungry and was overheating without the second reactor active. Vako seemed to have that problem settled well enough. Let the tanker handle the tank, Hannibal had other things to deal with.

He hopped off as the tank moved back, sticking to the side and away from the guns as before. There was no way he missed the yelling red asshats screeching about Jedi after diving to escape the falling crawlers. But that wasn't even the most dramatic part.

Vyrassu had arrived on a cloud on ash and dust, landing behind the others with her droid escort. A hard-set and determined look settled on the young Councilor's face as he caught up with Sevrin. With the lightsaber in his left hand up in guard his right hand rose up again, pulling a globular sphere of glowing lava from a fissure to pool in the air with the Force. Where the Twilek had thrown a rock, Hannibal rather liked his idea better.

"Oh no, did we kick over your sand castle? Don't have a meltdown, lady!" Hannibal called out.

The sphere launched forward toward Vyrassu and the two droids and then suddenly burst into a cone of glowing, molten pebbles, threatening with both kinetic force and burning heat after Sevrin's mental attack was sent out. It was ballistakinesis as with stones, capable of punching into even the droids, but the real problem with a hit was them being, y'know, lava, and covering a wide area.

Drow approved of Isen's plan and pressed his E-11 blaster rifle into the hands of a Sullustan who only seemed to have a shovel as a weapon. He wished the soldier lucked and peered out to see where his presence might be best used. And then he felt it; a truly staggering Dark Side presence. Through the smoke and din of battle, Drow couldn't see if it actually was Vryassu but he knew someone radiating that kind of energy definitely wasn't good news.

He focused hard on the burning slag that now was the ambulance, still behind the cover with Isen. Using the Force, he ripped off one of the doors and sent it hurtling towards Vyrassu, a move with such velocity that it would bisect the Councilor if she didn't react in time.

The surge in Dark Side energy left an imprint on the ambient flow of The Force that Vahn could not ignore. His breath caught in his chest in that moment as he perceived the raw His hands tightened on the controls of his speeder, and he drew in a tight, focusing breath. There was something big, something scary that had just made its presence known on the field. Something with a far greater weight in the field of energy than he had. This made no difference. This new presence emerged at a crucial point; somewhere that could cause the entire line to collapse and potentially doom the rebellion. He had to do something.

The speeder he was in turned sharply, banking into a reverse turn that change direction towards this sudden presence in the force behind the lines of combat. He burned hard, the thrust of his speeder kicking up plumes of ash in his wake as he tore his way back across the battlefield. He angled his approach, curving around where large chunks of debris from the base had created makeshift cover, or using the subtle contours of the volcanic earth below his vehicle.

It wasn’t long until he caught sight of the origin of the feeling of dread pressing down on his senses. Billowing clouds of dark ash were still dissipating from Vyrassu’s position as the Sith Councilor came into view.

First, he had the thought to send the speeder careening past the Sith Councilor and the two droids so he could disembark and engage in combat immediately. But he knew how outmatched he would be against the Councilor alone. Then, he had the thought to stop the speeder a safe distance away However, here he would be slow to engage and exposed on his advance to the two angry looking droids in particular.

That’s when he had a third thought. More glorious and more brilliant than any he’d had on this day. As the councilor and the two droids rapidly grew closer he gunned his accelerator, driving the speeder as close to maximum speed as he could before unfastening himself from the seat, and jammed the accelerator as high as he could. He then charged himself with a touch of the Force to leap free and clear from the newly christened missile as it screamed towards its intended target. A moment later, Vahn landed on his feet close by to Hans and Sevrin.

Vahn knew that the Sith Councilor was unlikely to be struck directly by the speeder on its own. Any force user had a wide range of skills and tools available to get themselves out of the way of big, fast moving heavy objects. Those droids were a different story however. The combination of the moments of distraction from the other Jedi, and using a sneaky angle to target the two droids behind her, Vahn felt there was a good chance for the mass of durasteel to slam into one or both, and cause tremendous damage even if it didn’t ignite from the sudden collision into the nearby terrain.

He gave a thumbs up and a jaunty grin towards Sevrin as he tucked behind cover and ignited his lightsaber, his deep blue blade snapping into existence with a brief metallic song.

Grentan and Vermill'a both moved up and away from the edge of the lava pit once Grentan had launched the boulder at Sevrin. This proved to be a good idea, since Sevrin was quick to retaliate. While Grentan forced the two halves of the returned boulder to be Pushed further apart on their return voyage, Vermilla focused on the defense. The twins had moved further away from the lava's edge so that even with the initial surprise of the Pull, they only skidded a short distance before Vermilla countered, rooting her and her brother with the Force in response.

While Grentan kept up his current attack, closing distance between himself and Sevrin to launch a blast of lightning at the Jedi's back while he was focusing his mind on Vyrassu. Vermill'a had, by this point, turned her focus onto the other side of the battle and it was because of this that she was able to spot Drow's attack, which consisted of grabbing a door and flinging it clear across the length of a battlefield from the transport the ambulance had crashed into, past the distance between both lines, past the Jedi-controlled tank and past the further distance to attack Vyrassu. The sheer time the attack would take to connect gave Vermill'a time to wrestle control of the door from its momentum with the Force before launching it at the Jedi currently atop the transport making a mess of their troop's coordination (Zathria). Vermill'a would begin to head over to the transports as well, her lightsaber clearly highlighting her intentions.

Said troopers were, indeed, feeling a little bit less coordinated as five of them were barrelled over by, well, the barrel of an e-web turret. One of the officers even managed to take the battering-ram-like hit to his genitals - this was followed by a very high pitched scream. While the men of the two main transports floundered for a second or two, they would rally, opening fire at the Jedi stood atop the transport from the front and one side.

Zathria had destroyed one of the turrets attached to one of the transports, relieving the pressure on the ridge-based Sullustians for a moment. Unfortunately for the group of Sullustians asked to leave cover to move in an attempt to flank, the turret that had fired on the ambulance was unharmed and it rotated slightly before opening fire on the group. Without cover and mistakenly under the impression that the turrets could not bother them, they would be easy pickings for the dual light laser cannon that blasted repeatedly on their position.

Further down the line of barricaded transports, the one that had already been knocked onto its side was rocked by another hit from the ion cannon of the Jedi-controlled tank. The ten troopers who had been forced out of the downed tank had used the time to ready themselves and two of them leaned out from the cover of the overturned transport just long enough to fire their PLX smart rockets, one each, that flew unerringly true toward the Ion Tank. One of the men was hit by the auto blaster fire peppering the area however, dying before he could reload for a second shot.

With the Ion Tank's secondary reactor engaged, the tank would be very sluggish and the two smart rockets were programmed to lock onto the tank's repulsor lifts, a weak point on most vehicles of the same type. They also managed to set up an e-web turret behind the turret but they would hold fire, not firing on Zathria to avoid potentially hitting friendly, though if Isen did start attempting to flank around the side of the transport they would open fire with the heavy turret at the unsuspecting Jedi.

The Sith forces were not down and out yet after all.

Across on the other side of the battlefield, the DT Droids focused on their duties as bodyguards. Their motion sensors picked up the fast approaching speeder heading their way and they pivoted to face it. Moving away from each other with heavy, thunderous, steps, both droids opened fire. One of them poured the fire onto the airborne Jedi, aiming to blast him while he was unable to change his trajectory with a trio of shots from both of the weapons in his hands. The other droid focused on the speeder itself, standing in an intercept vector and blasting at the speeder car - unfortunately for the droid the speeder had enough momentum that it could not be stopped by its blasterfire. The speeder rammed into the second DT droid, carrying both itself and the droid a fair distance into the imploding base where both speeder and droid were destroyed. The DT droid still firing on Vahn would find itself peppered with lava pebbles, which bounced loudly off of its armored durasteel body, leaving some of the metal to discolor as it heated but otherwise only slightly weakening the armor rather than melting it.

Vyrassu herself avoided the speeder because she didn't stay in place long enough, charging forward the second she felt the probe into her mind - whispers in her mind that were not hers. They wormed their way in, telling her that The Eternal did not trust her, that he was going to replace her with the upstart Stolas or someone else. As a practitioner of the Dark Side deeper mysteries and a powerful Force User, she knew that the thoughts were not hers though she could not spare the time to force them out. It was enough for her to recognize that they were foreign, instead roaring bloody murder as she charged at the two Jedi. An almighty Push erupted from her left hand as the lava scattershot at her, sending the now uncontrolled splattering of lava back at Hannibal and Sevrin at speed. Her lightsaber ignited in her right hand, she began eating up the distance between herself and the Jedi duo, charging across the distance as lightning began to spark in her left hand.

"You will not take them from me, The Eternal is mine to serve! You and all traitors will Die! You're all going to BURN!"

Her anger would be palpable, but so would her paranoia. Already it would be clear that some of her hate was directed at the twins as well. Although she believed she could fight through the psychic impressions without issue, the truth was that she was already beginning to see the other Sith as enemies just the same as the Jedi.

PLX Rocket Launcher - used twice against the Ion Tank with smart rockets that seek the repulsor engines of the tank.
E-Web Turret - both as turret (if Isen flanks) and as battering ram (right in the crown jewels too).

The Sith certainly knew how to ruin a lot, including Drow's attempt on Vyrassu with the ambulance. Sighing exasperatedly as his Force maneuver with the ambulance door was countered by Vermill'a, it became clear to the Ishi Tib Jedi that he had to deal with this Twi'lek Sith. But then he saw the transport open fire on the group of Sullustans that Isen had ordered to flank the Sith and it was clear to Drow that the turret also had to be dealt with. Instead of trying to pick between the two, he opted to kill two birds with one stone.

Reaching out with the Force, Drow would forcibly turn the transport's dorsal turret away from the Sullustans and instead towards Vermill'a. With luck the K79 transport's turret would continue to keep blasting upon the Sith woman. However, if the turret gunner had the good sense not to fire upon his Twi'lek commanding officer or if Vermill'a managed to block all the laser blasts, Drow would continue applying pressure with the Force and rip the turret out of the transport itself, using it as a projectile to try and take of Vermilla's head with.

"I got you covered! Keep moving!" Drow shouted to the Sullustans who had been charging to flank, the squad of around 20 having stopped when pinned down by the transport's fire.

The lieutenant was having a very bad day. A full on E-web battering ram to the groin was enough to ruin anyone's day, and Zathria was quite satisifed with the outcome of her attack against the infantry. They'd been thrown into utter chaos by what she'd done.

But Zathria still recognized that perhaps the greatest threat on the battlefield apart from the Councilor was the pair of Sith. One of them must have decided the same about the Echani woman as a door came hurtling over the battlefield.

Zathria's saber came slicing down, the Force wrapping around the very blade of the weapon. As the plasma cleaved through the door, the Force forced the two sides to either side of the Jedi so that half passed each side of her in a rather dramatic fashion.

The Jedi paused, eyes scanning over the battlefield quickly to take in everything around her. With the infantry not firing on her yet, she raised her free hand and motioned to the Sith woman, challenging her to come find the Jedi.

And she didn't linger on the roof any longer, dropping back to the far side of the transport and out of sight, putting her out of the field of fire of the troops below so that their shots found nothing but air. She plunged her saber directly through the side and into the area that should have been the cockpit. If there was still anyone inside they were going to have a very bad day as the Knight waited for the Sith to come and hunt her down. @Nefieslab

Vahn’s saber snapped into existence with a metallic ring as he neared the apex of his leap from the screaming missile-speeder. Six blaster bolts were directed at him on his travel, and he snipped the first three out of the air with his saber. It wasn't strictly true that someone couldn't control the way in which they fell. Gravity was gravity, and gravity would always claim its due eventually, that was true. But a Jedi... Well, A Jedi can do many things to encourage nature to bend its rules. Vahn drew in a breath of The Force, a small amount, quick as a blink to wreathe himself in that familiar telekinetic grasp. For a moment, a brief moment Vahn appeared to be suspended in air, floating leaf-like in the air. It wasn't much, but it was enough, enough to disrupt the lead the droid had and the bolts seared through the air underneath him in that split second. He released his grip, and then fell, dropping down to the ground below with a roll to bring him back behind some overturned rubble. Overhead, more blaster bolts sizzled in the air.

He closed his eyes and pressed back against the slab of blasted duracrete as the droid pounded away at it, searing off great chunks from his narrow cover. He widened his stance, pulled his saber up near his right ear with the blade pointed forward. His left hand extended forward towards the tip of his blade. Form III: Soresu. His foundation.

Vahn waded directly into the droid’s blaster fire. Completely exposed, practically unarmored, advancing in slow, steady steps towards his assailant. His lightsaber formed an azure gate in front of him, whirling at a blinding speed that would scatter the DT’s steady blaster fire harmlessly around him. He made no attempt to redirect, no attempt to strike the droid back with its own bolts. Instead he maintained a constant, crushing advance step by step towards his target. His eyes locked the droid’s, and it was hard to tell which was more focused on its task.
