How long had it been since he fell behind these bars, Oren had frankly lost track of time or progression. Information on the outside world was scant, and everything was passed down from a third hand source. His trial for the assault and murder charges had progressed at a snails pace, and it was looking more and more likely that he would spend years in incarceration, he would probably lose any title he held, be removed from the Order, but he couldn't focus on that now.
Life in the system was difficult, it was a system where the tough ruled, and those who tried to go it lone would be stomped on. Life as a Jedi in prison was strange, he had no desire to fight, but that hadn't stopped a few rough necks from trying to prove themselves. It became quite clear right away that he needed to stick with some people, so he ended up grouping up with a few other outcasts--mostly non violent criminals. They called themselves the "The Social Club" and all had the initials inked onto their right shoulder, which would denote those who were looking to reform themselves once released, and were not seeking a life of crime or gang violence.
Oren and the small band of four or five members sat outside in the yard, looking up towards the probe droids and distant skylines. "How many days do you have left?" Oren would ask as his lone eye shifted towards a Phuii who was busy lifting on a set of free weights.
"Grr.." The alien would puff his chest up as he brought the barbell back to the rack. "Two more days and I'm out of here, " a hint of excitement filled his voice as he sat up on the bench, "Going home with family, my brother said he talked to his boss, and he's going to give me a shot as a mechanic."
Oren would simply smile, nodding a bit, as his eye shifted towards the ground, "I'm happy for you," he'd sigh as he looked back towards the sky.
"Any news on your case?"
"Nothing..."
