Baal was discovered in a slave mining camp on the planet of Kessel, twenty years before the fall of Imperial Hutta. By his would be Master, Ii’nara Tameris. During a mission to the spice world for the Imperial Republic.
The Twi’lek Sith discovered his sensitivity after killing the boy’s mother and sister while in the act of killing her target, a minor hutt lorda. Seeing his family dye, the boy lashed out with raw force, managing to flip the Sith Sorceress, nearly getting her killed by guards. After recovering, Tameris apparently killed everyone but Baal. Returning with the boy to Coruscant.
The zabrak would be named by his Master after arriving in the Core, and would be made Ii’nara’s apprentice after his trials. She would personally train him in the use of the force and in lightsaber combat, but leave all other aspects of his instruction to his personal companion droid.
Soon the Master and apprentice would transfer to Oderon. To assist the Moff of the planet in governing the planet as well as use the planet as a base of operations for missions into the Outer Rim and into Old Empire space. The two used the world as their own personal playground and slave pit until the arrival of the Mandalorians.
Baal master’s would abandon him, and flee the planet as the clans invaded Onderon space. Leaving him to fight, and find his own way off world. Managing to barely get off world with the assistance of his droid, after a brief battle with a team of marauders.
Betrayed by his Master, and with no loyalty to the crumbling leadership of both Empires. Baal retreated to the edge of known space in the western region of the galaxy. Soon finding a salvation. Or rather a rising religious sect of Sith, On Ilum

Extensively trained in the force and lightsaber combat by his former Master. Baal is also adept in hand to hand combat, small and heavy arms, as well as explosives. He also possesses minor skill in piloting, mechanics, and droid repair.

Motivated by revenge and power. Baal is deceptive and adaptive, willing to use and sacrifice others. Both for amusement and the reach his over all goals. He is also ambitious but pragmatic, the “rule of the strong” is as much about survival as it is gaining power, and that power can be gained in many ways.
