DESCRIPTION
The AZ-5 Disruptor rifle, known as the AZ-7 during its production phase but changed by Ceris after an article attempted to reveal insider information, was made to outshine the outdated T-7 developed by Sienar-Merr-Sonn. The AZ-5 was made with one thing in mind: obliteration of whatever stood in its way. It is a massive rifle, capable of destroying many vehicles and structures.

The AZ-5 is powered by a large power cell below the barrel of the weapon which makes up most of its weight and size. In fact the AZ-5 is so large that most humanoids are unable to fire it while standing up, requiring them to be kneeling, laying down, or having it propped up. While only capable of 5 shots, the large power cell produces an explosive beam of ionized energy up to 1200m which can disintegrate most materials.

The downside to the powerful blast is the wait time between shots. Each shot overheats the barrel significantly, requiring the user to wait a few minutes (3+ posts) before firing again. The weapon must be handled with care and maintained frequently. If the AZ-5 overheats too much or gets damaged, it may spontaneously combust upon firing thus killing the user. The power cell is limited to the 5 shots and may not be changed out, requiring the weapon to be plugged and recharged.

LEGALITY
The weapon is illegal for civilians.

INTENT
Another option for a disruptor rifle and also similar to the shatter rifle in destructive capability.

RESTRICTIONS
May not be used against player characters. Weapon is extremely expensive and specialized, you won't be seeing armies with these things. Weapon may not be modded either.

Sold directly to security forces.

Approved. But don't expect to sell many of these without a visit from the Space Cops.
