Roan stood before the isolated high security prison that Ender was being held in. She was not alone and more were arriving. Behind her were her three apprentices, all with backpacks filled with explosives. Today they would not just slaughter thousands, but level the entire prison. It was the wishes of The Eternal.

She was garbed top to bottom in traditional Sith robes. On her face a black mask with Sith writings across it deeply cut in red letters. Though she reigned within the Sith, she did not care for her face to be known throughout the galaxy should anything get out.

Her arrival and appearance caught the attention of prison guards right away, and so she was instantly approached by two. Roan did not blink, she simply raised her hands and a storm of lightning emerged from them. The manifestation of the Dark Side wracked throughout the two hapless guards, until their life was sapped from them and two burnt shells of humans fell to the dirty cement beneath.

OOC NOTE: This thread is death enabled (DE). Players who engage all three champions head on risk death, but there are other things that can be done such as evacuating the prison and not engaging them.

Calix followed shortly behind Roan, dressed practically in a black tunic and a concealing deep gray mask with short, forward-curving horns and a malicious grin. He was flanked by two students of his own, dressed similarly with hornless masks and lugging satchels of det charges. Each belt flashed with the glint of several vibroblades alongside their lightsiders in the sudden light of Roan's force assault, bringing the masks into sharp relief.

The three drew weapons and surged forward toward the entrance over the smoking corpses, red blades snapping into existence, their hum joining the ominous buzz of the long knives in their off hands. A burst of telekinetic power ripped open the door and Calix's blades flew and sang like murderous shrikes, darting left and right. He was a hurricane, a blur of motion that cut down the few guards inside the first room, dead before they could even draw weapons of their own.

Wordlessly his apprentices placed an explosive each on an interior wall and violently disassembled the front console with their lightsabers. There would be no witnesses, no recordings, no physical evidence of any kind beyond rubble, ruin, and the mountain of dead they would leave beyond. A warning and a message to those who meddled in affairs beyond their comprehension. It was the wishes of The Eternal.

Oren had been on the planet, investigating the capture of Rowa. He had spent several days going from prison to prison, sleeping along cots and looking into all the data points that he could. It seemed that the galaxy was in full spin and it was crucial that he be there to make sure things actually got done.

He had been resting, in his simple neutral colored tunics, when commotion began to break across the prison. Oren would pull himself up, seeing guard running and the sound of an alarm crying out along the halls. His hand would rest on his blade as he made his way into the hall, "They're assaulting the front of the prison!" One of the guards called out.

"Calm yourself and secure the detention center entrances and reinforce yourself, begin to transfer non violent criminals to the back of the prison." His saber would ignite with a purple hum, he'd stand alone in the DMZ that split the front end of the prison from the detainment center, who ever arrived would meet the Jedi. Death, yet the Force. Even if he died today, he would make sure most people escaped. This is the Jedi way.

Eighty percent of her job in the Rangers seemed like paper work, she was always writing something, reading something, messaging someone regarding a report and then come to find, she had to do the report herself. One of her recent assignments resulted in the arrests of several smugglers, they had be processed and now she was still working in the offices to complete the reports that were needed for their hearings in the morning. Her focus gradually began to dwindle, almost as though there were an insect buzzing in her ear, keeping her attention to what was happening around her than the work she needed to be done. Sighing, she paused, but it was in that pause did she develop the worst feeling she could comprehend. Much like when one takes a bite of rotten fruit, but it was something more, it was cold and heavy and Thalia's eyes glazed over as she internally tried decipher what it was exactly.

She heard her name and Thalia came quickly back to reality as she saw one of prison guards standing at the door, "Ma'am, there's a situation." he spoke calmly, but there was an uneasiness and the feeling that had overcome her senses earlier still lingered. Thalia left her reports behind, at least she could ask for more time because she was caught up in a prison situation and followed the guard as he briefed her quickly. He did not have any clear details, but from Thalia could gather, being locked inside a prison was no longer a safe option.

"We have begun lock down on each floor, no one will be able to get out, let alone get inside." he explained, "However, we need to get non-essential personnel out of here and get those in the infirmary out to transports, just until reinforcements arrive."

Thalia starred at him, puzzlement on her face as she tried to read for anything that he was not telling. "Alright, I'll start in the infirmary and get everyone out of here." she said as the guard handed her an extra comm for communication.

He nodded, "We'll give you updates, let us know if you need help." he said heading back to the front of the prison while Thalia took off in the opposite direction.

Nashyr Ris had been called down by Jedi Master Oren to aid in consultation of how to handle the Sith in custody on Coruscant. The Jedi's numbers were spread pretty thinly as it was, and Nashyr had been sitting beside Oren, waiting as he was in her simple blast vest beneath civilian clothes, synthleather jacket and lightsaber clipped to her belt.

She had been about to open her mouth to ask a question when alarms began to blare, and just as he reached for his own lightsaber so did she, following and standing beside him as he gave out orders.

She didn't have to say anything; those that were necessary prisoners would no doubt be escorted out with essential personnel, but she was in no place to give orders herself. She nodded wordlessly to Oren and her own hummed to life in a brilliant blue snap-hiss.

"Keep us updated if there are any other reports of attacks in other areas of the prison," she spoke out calmly.

They would not get further than where the two Jedi would be, if it came down to it. Death... yet the Force, she told to herself, taking in a long, deep breath.

I'm ready.

It was about time that Roland checked on some other leads. The next best thing he could come up with were was the red saber jockey recently imprisoned. At the start of the day he thought his biggest problem was maybe going to have to deal with the prison's security processing to see the criminal.

"Haar'chak" He breathed at hearing a loud explosion from the cabin of the airspeeder followed by just missing sight of the last darksider entering the buiding. He quickly tapped on the integrated commlink in the vehicle calling the Sector Ranger's headquarters. First things first, he was going to call it in.

"This is Ranger Rook, I'm at the Coruscant Prison and there are two guards down. I think there's a prison break going down. Red lightsaber wielding suspects have entered the building. I'm going in to secure the landing zone. Send back up right away!" He did not even wait for a response. The Mandalorian sped up to get to one of the opening landing zones. His helmet continuing to look for possible hostiles while also glancing at the two unmoving bodies laying near the entrance.

Riz'kacha, having been the apprentice of Nash, was present as well when poodoo began to hit the fan. Her eyes went wide as alerts began to fill the air, and all of a sudden everyone was bursting with action. Seeing the Jedi lightsabers buzz to life, Riz'kacha's yellow blade followed soon with a distinctive hiss. She looked to her master for orders, "...Nash, what do you want me to do?"

Her droid had been left on her ship, for safety. As far as Riz was concerned, she was here on her own with her Jedi friends to help out the rangers. No matter what task she was given, Riz'kacha was prepared to give it her all. Still, she had to admit, the sirens and the lightsabers were a bit anxiety inducing.

The attack on the prison was beginning. Waves of cultists followed the three masked leaders. The Eternal's most trusted members. Champions of cult. Balal Ren had just entered the atmosphere and made his approach toward the prison in his Tie Elder. The Knight of Ren had been dealing with other issues in the outer rim when the news on the holonet broke of Ender's capture. When message went out among the Sith Eternal of the assault on the prison, Balal Jumped at the opportunity.

As he made his approach on the facility, the sensors of his fighter showed enhanced images of dead guards and cultists entering the main gate. The ship also alerted him to the flight path of an unknown speeder (@Darasuum ) making an approach for the same landing pad that Balal was aiming for.

"BG, arm weapons and shields." The Echani commanded his astromech. Then adjusted his ship to take an attack vector on the unknown speeder.

Ender sat there patiently in his cell, on his knees with his hands covering them. His eyes were closed as he sat there and meditated. There were bruises and cuts littered all over his body underneath his prison garb and it was a gift from the Rangers and police when he was first arrested and a welcoming gift from the guards as well since they wanted their opinion shared as well. Since then, his eyes had been remained closed and he hadn't moved from his spot once he was thrown in the cell.

There were always a few guards that stood outside and watched over him, hurling insults or being a disruption so he wouldn't be allowed to sleep. There was no other prisoner in the section of the prison he was in, graciously renting it out just for him. One of the guards stood a few feet away and stared at Ender, laughing softly to most himself but to the others, "You ain't so big and bad after all you piece of shit." Ender continued to allow the insults to just pass him and exhaled patiently but then he felt it, off in the distance. It radiated the Dark side like he hadn't felt before, it called to him and he knew exactly what it meant. They were here.

The alarms suddenly blared and snapped all of the guard's attention to where the front of the prison would be as their radios had shouting come through them. The others left quickly to go help and that's when the explosions rocked through the prison and knocked the man forward into the cell door. Ender's eyes finally snapped open as he saw his opportunity, his eyes a bright and intense gold that burned like a Jackal's. The force kept the man pressed against the cell as his arms slipped through and Ender leaped forward, wrapping the chain between his hands around the guard's own hands. They had cuffs placed on him but they never restricted his use of the force, he just never used it till now.

The guard stared at Ender with wide eyes as his hands were in a hold he couldn't escape. "Wait, please..." Ender realized it was actually the guard that led him to the room for his welcoming gift. With that, he was gonna make sure the man could never use his arms again. He clicked his tongue as he shook his head before yanking his cuffed arms down, breaking both the guard's arms and keeping him to the door as he wouldn't be able to bend his arms to get out as the man let out a scream. Unwrapping the cuffs from him afterward, Ender used the force to slide the key from the man's pocket and undo the restraints.

Next was the cell door and when it was unlocked, he used the force to snap the man's neck as he opened the door with the guard being pushed with it. With him being a high target, the guards were offered better weaponry and he pulled the vibro-sword from the guard's belt and twirled it in his hand. Here, he reached out in the force to the champions, informing them of where he directly was in the prison so they could regroup. At first, Ender was believed to be trapped inside the prison but everyone was now trapped inside with him and the others.

Bast Emblai immediately dialed into the the call she got on her com, a light in the corner of her helmet indicating it as “urgent”. Taking a deep breath, she listened. She was a new Sector Ranger, but she was no inexperienced rookie. She had worked years in Corellia‘s planetary law enforcement, and she new better than to panic. The HQ command had just sent all nearby rangers to the Coruscant prison after a distress call. The message was loud, clear, and calm, as all operators made it sound, but Bast knew the fear the voice was holding back is it called, “Sector Rangers on Coruscant, Head to the Prison for a Class A emergency. Be armed and ready for heavy conflict. Evacuate the prison, keeping prisoners secure and guarded.“ The message repeated again as Bast carefully landed her Sapphire Crescent, shields up, and fluidly pulled her helmet on, grabbed a few detonators, and drew her blaster rifle.

She cradled her weapon against her left shoulder as she hastily packed her med kit. She doubted the fight was with stun weapons. Then, carefully sliding the door open, the muzzle of her rifle leaving the ship first, she began to clear the landing area. There was one other man running around, presumably a Ranger. Sounds of clear firefights echoed close by. New blaster burns had scorched a Durasteel pole nearby. The faint smell of charred flesh even permeated her mask. Bast just hope they were not the only ones. She spoke into her com, hoping with what little heart she had, someone would respond.
“This is Ranger Emblai,” she began to an open channel. “Who are the rangers on site and what are your locations? We have a grave problem.”

Hannibal had been in an evidence analysis room, going over footage, explaining psychometric notes and drawings, and analyzing navi-computer data. He wasn't one to try to figure out what to do with the prisoners, figuring that was more efficiently someone else's job. Direct investigation and problem solving were really more his thing. His general attitude had put off the officers for a bit, but he was surprisingly serious when it came to his work and was as quick with a compliment as a bad joke, so it evened out in the end.

They'd just worked through a particular set of coordinates when Hannibal's skin suddenly felt like it had frozen over, lightning shooting down his spine. He shot up out of his chair a second before the alarm went off, the sense of danger making his skin crawl. He waved down the surprised exclamations of the staff, smirk quickly morphing into a frown.
"You both need to leave. You're not combat personnel." he said simply, walking out of the room and turning left down the hallway, beginning to run. His hands shook slightly, but he calmed himself by allowing the Force to flow through him. He was acutely aware of and very sensitive to the rush of emotions in the building, but he had work to do.

Hannibal drew his comm, telling his astromech Lee to prep the Catspaw for rapid take off or recovery as needed. He drew his primary lightsaber into his left hand and his stun-set DE-10 into his right, the crossguard shoto remaining on his belt's right side locked on it's mag plate. He could feel the other two Jedi and hoped they would make it, but he wouldn't be able to fight there with them. He wasn't heading to the front, he was going to make sure darksiders' likely target wasn't here.

He was just in time to turn a corner and see the new arrival(@Orbit ) retrieving a weapon from a now rather dead guard. Hannibal's brilliantly green lightsaber immediately snap-hissed into existence a moment later, the Knight sinking into a ready position.

His combat stance was left foot forward, sword arm horizontal with a slightly bent elbow, lightsaber up in front of him in a forward tilted guard with the tip pointing towards the prisoner's chest, ready to parry, deflect, or engage as needed. His blaster was forward, enabling accurate fire but able to pull back and begin close quarters fire or be dropped if necessary. The Force flowed through him, ready to act in his defense should the dark man before him attempt an attack that way.

A big grin alighted on his face, eyes flashing with mischievous energy. "Drop the sword before you cut yourself on that edge, why don't ya?" he yelled mockingly as he fired his weapon, more than ready to engage the man responsible for killing all those people. Even if the entire prison collapsed, the invaders would not get their prize.

Failure was Unacceptable.

While certainly not as important as the champions spearheading the assault, tagging along and following closely was Jerex Dorn, called Tyrus Ren when wearing the mask, of course the rescue of their leader couldn't happen without at least some representation from the group, after all! Besides, Jerex couldn't resist participating in what was going to be a very chaotic battle, he lived for moments of mayhem like these.

Armed with only his lightsaber and a medkit and protected only by his mask and robes, the legionnaire thought he really didn't need much else, he already had the aid of the force, of the dark side, which combined with the others was stronger than ever, so strong it would leave its mark on the rubble that would still remain after they were done with the prison, rubble colored in the blood of the slaughter that was about to occur.

Kal was in the command center for the prison, his ship on one of the landing pads, poring over data and recordings to try to suss out any leads or evidence that he could as an Analyst. His tunnel vision made him react a bit late for the alarms and explosions, confused for a moment as to what was going on. He turned his head to look at the cameras, seeing the aggressors before the feeds were cut as the cameras were destroyed. The sizzling of the two front guards and the brutality of the ones in the front room of the prison, a fair distance from the command center's centralized location but still something that made a shiver run down the Ranger's spine. It didn't take much analysis to discern a possible motive for this act of aggression: Ender. Either they were going to break him out or put an end to him, though from what Kal had seen so far, the guards at the prison weren't going to be able to handle these brutal combat specialists. This must be the power of the Dark Side of the Force that Max had told him about. No, fighting these terrorists would be suicide, with any support capable of doing so quite far away.

The rest of the staff in the Command Center were stunned, not the best response to the situation. He'd have to kick them into gear. "Hey! Snap out of it, we're under attack! You two, get everyone on the same Comm channel to coordinate. Get as many people evacuated as you can, this kind of brutality is a bit much for a prison break. You two, do what you can to lock down doors in their way, slow them down. Every second could be a life saved. Move it!" He gestured to different technicians at different panels, which snapped them out of their frozen stares to start patching everyone in and start coordinating an evacuation. Floors were being locked down per protocol, yet still they should be able to do something to help. As for Kal himself, he plugged in his datapad to his own panel, working to use the cameras to advise what guards or allies he could see, let them know of any danger he could see on what cameras he could see. He'd also try to record what he could, as though this was a morbid event, first-hand combat data on these Red Sabers could be useful to look over later. At the very least he would have his own near eidetic memory to fall back on if the feed was corrupted somehow. That was all secondary, though. Saving lives would be the most important. If the aggressors got too close to the Command Center, then he'd have the personnel evacuate post haste, with himself being last. That was his duty as a Ranger.

After hearing of the capture of the Knight of Ren, Saul had beaded full speed to Coruscant to offer what assistance he could. After Corellia, perhaps it would be useful to have him in the same room as the ones he fought.

But after eventually getting clearance to be directed to the correct prison, his radio calls for landing clearance at the places rear were met with silence, comm static.

Something was afoot.

And exiting his x-wing after touching down, the sudden explosion that rocked ev e his landing pad and made him stumble was the final nail he needed. He had to get inside, something terrible was happening. Saul doubted he could stop it, but it was better more were around than few. If nothing else if something got out he’d perhaps be able to follow.

His bruises still fresh from Corellia, Saul’s wall turned into a run as he entered the rear of the prison facility, and into whatever darkness laid inside.

Sol Puara purposely made his move after the others, one to always rely on precision striking over theatrical entrances. He heard the explosions up front and all the commotion as everyone made their way towards the other Champions. He used the Force to sense the ripples of tension and chaos, going where it pulsated just a bit less. He had four apprentices with him, all waiting to follow him in.

It was there that he coiled the Force around the metal bars of the windows, bending and twisting them out of the way before shattering the glass. He sprang up through the air, easily popping in through the window and into the building, followed by the others. There was no one in his path yet, and he was somewhere midway inside the prison. The apprentices all scattered in different directions.

He was focused on the target itself - Ender. He wanted to get their prize out for the Eternal and that would be his focus. Sol slinked out of the room he was in, turning to pause as several guards skidded to a halt upon spotting him. He didn’t move a muscle as the Force coiled around their necks and continued till their tracheas were crushed and their eyes bulged out. They fell limp on the ground without Kel Dor casting a second glance.

He did not draw his saber, the Force always coiled around his fingers and coursing through him. It was a weapon at the ready, and he would eliminate anyone in his path. He could sense a dark presence deep within the prison and he allowed his senses to draw him in that direction and towards where the holding cells were. It would only be a matter of moments before he came across where Ender was.

And it had come to this. Years had passed and he'd turned a blind eye to it all, but there wasn't any looking away any more. He was sick of the Eternal's orders and he was sick of the pointless killing. He'd criticized the Jedi for complacency, the Sector Rangers for too much restraint, but this... this was so much worse. It wasn't what Talak believed in and he was tired of pretending otherwise.

His ship had torn through the atmosphere of this world and arrived at the prison in short order, already smoldering and burning in portions under the attack. He knew how these assaults worked. Every second was a life, which meant there was no time for landing.

Talak - not the Arcanist - had seized two lightsabers and strapped them to his belt. One was his own, true blade and the other the blue blade of a long ago fallen Jedi. He didn't need the Sector Rangers shooting him for having a red saber, but if and when he faced a real duel, he didn't need the sluggish blade of a Jedi.

He was hunting the most dangerous prey he'd ever faced.

He dropped from the ramp of his still hovering ship, the Force cushioning his fall as he hit the ground and moved into the prison. No blade showing. No markings. He wasn't a Jedi and he wasn't a Sith, and in the wake of Champions there wasn't much to stop him.

Kill or be killed. At least you'll die doing what you actually believe. Give as good as you get, he told himself, resigning himself to whatever fate today had for him. There was no more turning back.

Sol was the first target he came across, and by far the most terrifying. The sabers lit in Talak's hands and he knew he was in grave danger. He knew the Champion's reputation, and wasn't convinced he was outmatched.

He felt like he should have said something dramatic, but there wasn't much to say. This was war, he wasn't here for a chat. He began to close the distance immediately, hoping that perhaps the Champion would be caught off guard by such a betrayal.

Having landed he caught out of the corner of his eye an aggressivly approaching ship. He knew what TIE fighters looked like and the eyeball shape had been used extensivly by 'bad guys' in the past. It was not difficult for him to put two and two together. Another quick curse escaped Roland's mouth and he activated his jump boots to get away from the airspeeder. It was a far easier target than he was.

He needed to get to cover and made every attempt to first get out of danger. The Sector Ranger would not be of use if he was dead. Large collumns in the architecture would be enough to withstand laser cannons from a ship at least if whomever was behind the controls of the ship wanted to try and take a shot at a fast and small moving target. Of course if he ended up blowing up his airspeeder then the pilot behind the starfighter would probably damage his ship if he wanted to risk landing on top of the wreckage.

Many things around the prison were happening at once, people were trying to be evacuated, the champions were attacking the front doors and drawing everyone to it, it was all-around chaos. At least Ender thought everyone was drawn to the commotion he stepped out until a Jedi turned down the hall and faced him, activating his green lightsaber and making him stand out. When he turned to face the newcomer, he could only smirk at the warrior with the request to drop his weapon right there. Both of them knew he wasn't going to do that.

With him having meditated the entire time while he was in his cell, the force was ready to be wielded by him and he flicked his fingers for one of the cell doors behind Hannibal to swing out harshly and smack him right in the spine, hoping to dislodge him from his defensive position as he would stumble forward a few feet but not enough that the distance would be closed between them fully. Ender may have been the only one who was actually in a cell but there were still empty ones that lined the hallway and with the explosions and ruckus happening, they were becoming a bit loose.

Immediately after that, Ender would use his free hand to launch a burst of lightning directly at the Jedi as he would stumble forward. He wouldn't wait, starting to close the distance after with his force attack with the blade in his opposite hand ready for defense or offense as well, the force swirling around him again as well. Nothing was going to stand in his way from escaping, not even the precious Jedi.

Thankfully, it didn't take too much to get everyone's comms linked together, as well as the camera feeds focused on the combat locations. There were so many assailants, far more than what Kal had suspected for the Red Sabers, and the skill of some of them were unreal. Could the Jedi even stand up to them? With how the usual temperament of a Jedi was, going against a corrupted, inhibition-free version of their power made it seem that the Red Sabers would have the advantage in combat as they wouldn't hold anything back. They fought to kill, to destroy, and they seemed completely in their element with the carnage. The one that just stood as the guards choked and died, at least that's what Kal assumed from their movements and spasms before death, was just one such example of this. There seemed to be three highly skilled in their own areas of combat, unique to each other. This level of skill...This wasn't a ragtag band of people or terrorists, there had to be more to this all.

One of the panels of Kal's stationed lit up with a communication. Some of the personnel had reached the landing pads and were getting their ships ready to take off once full. Good, though according to what sensors were left there were some unknown fighters in the air around the prison. They probably belonged to the Red Sabers, and could be a threat to evacuations if they just took off. Kal pulled up maps of the surrounding area, finding an alternate route for the ships to take to fly low, with a greater chance to evade notice and survive. He also had one of the better pilots take his own TIE Hunter to act as protection for these ships. He'd find his own way out in another way. The safety of the evacuees was most important.

Calix could sense the lightsiders amongst the non-sensitives, standing defiantly against the incoming darkness. The Champion sneered derisively behind his mask, moving forward quickly through the building. His apprentices swiftly took out another two officers rushing to see what the alert was about so as to prevent Calix from being interrupted. The Champion drew another dagger into his off left hand, now containing two, held by the handles between his fingers, buzzing and active. Within a few seconds he'd made his way to the DMZ, he and his two apprentices facing three Jedi. (@TWD26 )

Each apprentice was armed with their red-bladed saber, the off hand containing an active vibroblade with a foot long blade. Snarling Calix quickly began walking into a more engagement-friendly distance and flicked out his left hand, the two active vibroblades rapidly spinning horizontally through the air from 20 meters, the foci of a high speed guided telekinetic attack. One was targeting the Twi'lek(@WiffWaffs ), the other flying at the tiger-striped Cathar(@Killa Ree ), both targeting the stomach. The spinning blades could prove troublesome to deflect with a lightsaber, potentially capable of deflecting around a guard.

He didn't stop moving forward, lightsaber up and at the ready at a 45 degree angle, off hand up and guiding his projectiles. Though he was a Champion and powerful in the force, Calix was specialized in close quarters combat and excelled at killing targets at those ranges. He and his apprentices intended to engage the three in duels and take them down as a message to their misguided cousins.
