Well well, it seemed like Jerex's plans were about to change, deciding at first to simply watch and protect Roan's cultists as they created a path for them because of the lack of targets, the old legionnaire didn't do much except watch and admire the battle that was currently going on. However, he was no spectator, he could join that battle whenever he wanted to, whenever he chose to, and he chose now that yet another jedi (@Nightfall) jumped into the battle, being in fact, one of the first to spot him thanks to the fact that he was a bit ahead with the demolitions team.

He didn't know where he was going or why he was ignoring the ones that were further in that way but Jerex Dorn wouldn't mind playing with the jedi even if taking him by surprise. Calling upon the dark side of the force the Knight of Ren created powerful lightning from his hand, aimed towards Saul's vulnerable back now that he was heading towards the center of the battle and before he even had the chance of acting against Roan "Now now, let them have their fun, you can play with me instead" He said with a deep, disturbing voice as a result of the voice modulator from his mask, smiling under his mask while even more lightning came from his free hand, he was now having fun, but he also was still alert for any other attacks, more people could come after that jedi, after all, so, he never let himself completely open, not even when shooting lightning at that jedi.

Kal was watching both sets of battles as he was working on coordinating the evacuation efforts, his abilities as an Analyst allowing him to multitask when needed as the business world back home demanded such things. Ender had escaped and was fighting a Jedi, while another man with a red saber was attacking one of the infiltrators. This latter fact nearly shocked the Ranger into inaction, though he forced himself to recover and keep working despite this. The battle in the courtyard was a display of just how outmatched he knew the rest of the current staff were, even with the request for reinforcements sent. No, this place was doomed from the first explosion, but at least they had bought enough time for evacuations. The first group, with his fighter as support, had made their way through his calculated path and should hopefully be to safety soon. It was time for them to leave.

"Okay, that's about all we can do here. All of you, get to the last of the shuttles, I'll be right behind you." The technicians looked at Kal, then at each other for a moment, their sense of duty wanting to make them stay to the last second. Kal pointed for the door, looking pointedly at them to kick them into gear. They had good hearts, but that could lead good men to die when they didn't need to. They left their stations quickly, soon leaving the Ranger alone in the command center. "To all remaining forces and allies on this channel, we are finishing evacuations shortly. If you can, disengage and get to safety. Thank you for buying us time." He locked down the doors between where the attackers were and where the landing pad was, to allow more time for them to get away.

Taking his datapad, sending the recordings he'd taken of the attack to the Ranger network for later, he keyed up the communication he'd heard from Roland ( @Darasuum ). "Ranger Roland, this is Ranger Kal. I sent a pilot in my fighter out to cover the shuttles evacuating, so they should be safe. I'll take a speeder and make my way to your location to back you up." He left the control room, his commlink chirping as the pilot in his TIE Hunter detected an unknown starfighter nearby. He was going to make an attack run on it as part of his orders to protect the shuttles. ( @Taz ) Good, hopefully one less problem to deal with. He got in a speeder to make his way over to Roland's last known location to help out.

Calix had nearly made contact with his blow before he Force had built up in the Jedi he was engaged with, seeking to push the Champion back and away. Calix exhaled and bent his torso in response to the blow, the burning power of the Dark Side joining his own skill and experience at fighting and killing to avoid being overly distracted by the Jedi's counter-attack. He was still pushed back, but as he it happened Calix continued with his left arm's forward motion, with a small adjustment.

While Oren's lightsaber and arm were still checked by the Champion's own and his left hand being used to push the Champion away, Calix unleashed the charged energy in his own left hand. At the same time as he was being pushed, Calix flung his active vibroblade at speed point first towards the Jedi's(@TWD26 ) unprotected lower sternum, joined by a cracking burst of lightning. The blow was intended to be lethal, penetrating through the heart if the blade hit home. The blast of lightning itself was highly charged and moved much faster than the blade, on its own a potentially devastating but less than lethal attack. The dual attack was unleashed from a foot away, likely proving difficult to avoid. Combined, the lightning passed through the vibroblade, overloading and detonating the weapon's power cell, ideally while buried in the Jedi's torso, but still exploding nearby should the knife miss entirely. Such a reaction had enough power to blow off a person's hand if they were holding the weapon, doing much worse if embedded in vital organs.

Calix landed back on his feet two meters away in front of the Jedi, back in his guard with his saber forward along with his right foot, and focused on his sheer hate and disdain for the stubborn, misguided man before him. Regardless of the success of his knife attack, his left hand would angle forward, the Dark Side rushing through him as he made his hate manifest.

Burning flame erupted from his fingertips a second after he launched his first attack, a massive bright yellow conflagration taking the shape of a rapidly expanding cone that would be three meters wide and high by the time it reached the Jedi two meters away, more than hot enough to ignite robes and inflict severe fourth degree burns, the wave of heat and pressure before it capable of burning before the flame made direct contact.

Off to Calix's left, his male apprentice tried and failed to deflect the vibroblade rocketing towards him from the cathar(@Killa Ree ). The active weapon impaled him through the chest and pinned him to the wall, his life quickly draining away to nothing, dead in service to the Eternal.

The female apprentice to his right was much more well off. The twi'lek Jedi's(@WiffWaffs ) push sent her off balance and she was forced to go into a spin to recover, her attempt to choke disrupted. Seeing the twi'lek was beginning to retreat, however, the apprentice decided on a new target. Another Jedi had shown up, who had been engaged by a Legionnaire. The female apprentice recovered her footing and sent a wave of telekinetic energy at the twi'lek Jedi to prevent reprisal, following up by charging in towards the Jedi(@Nightfall ), a burst of speed moving her to eight meters away, ready to engage along with the Legionnaire(@Versok ) as needed.

Thalia comm over the device that her section was clear and though she asked for further orders, none came, in fact, the comm was silent, all lines where silent and Thalia cursed under her breath as she followed Saul's trail. She could see him just ahead, herself taking an extra moment to ensure the halls she would pass were empty. She hoped the silence was a good sign, she hated to think of the worst. The cold feeling seemed to grow heavier, she expected to see her breath in the flashing emergency lights, the feeling of urgency twisted in her stomach as she continued, her hand reaching for her blaster, gripping it tightly as the sounds of a fight were occurring not too far off.

The silhouette of Saul (@Nightfall) was suddenly interrupted by another figure (@Versok), lightning extended from his fingertips to the Jedi Knight's back and Thalia aimed and fired several shots at the darksider who was preoccupied with obscuring the Jedi's attempt to help his brethren.

Keeping her weapon raised, she readied herself to continue firing if the Kel dor didn't surrender, however, with how the situation looked, she wished she had back up about now, even more so as a the apprentice approached Saul, ready to aid her own red saber wielding louts.

Chaos reigned within the prison and Bast stepped over a dozen lifeless bodies as she tried to sneak her way towards the control room. Her heart panged, but the dead needed no sympathy. She needed to know what her priority was. Finally, after agonizing minutes of static, she heard the call for retreat. She decided to respond back (@Insalius). “Ranger Dross, come in. This is Ranger Emblai. I’m at the landing pad. I am un injured and can fight. Would you like me to secure and guard the area until everyone is loaded or would you be better served if I did rounds within the prison?”

She looked at the platform and the stream of people running towards transport, ducking, their hand covering their heads. Running over, she spotted an injured guard and dragged him to cover inside a ship. The air was whistling with energy and tension. At loss for what an individual could do against an onslaught of so many, Bast ran into the prison again. This time, she planned to kill rather than save.

Roland heard the alert from Ranger Kal ( @Insalius ) along with his direct message. "Thanks" He replied simply despite the plentiful time the red sabered assailaint was giving him. A step back upside down as Roland pulled his blaster at the ready. He was already a meter away from the thick column. One saber slice at leg height which would have sliced his legs off if he had stayed up against the support pillar at floor level. He let his cloak drop and grabbed a concussion grenade from his belt.

The first was followed by a second and third. Each spaced out to cut into him should he have been up against the pillar. Having set the grenade to impact he threw, or rather tossed with an intended trajectory to only just get into view of the criminal as it impacted on the ground in front of the warrior in close proximity. The third strike had been his queue to toss so chances were that the man was still falling from his high elevation and was focusing on blowing the pillar. The armored Sin had a lightsaber so the best thing he could do for now was draw his vibroblade and steady his aim with his off hand's forearm

Roland was planning on following through with an assisted push off with his jump boots to rapidly get the saber jockey into his own view by moving sideways and back down to normal eye level. The force wielder would probably be dazed by his concussion grenade but if he still managed to release his own intended 'force claymore' it would be at a space the Mandalorian was no longer in. The Ranger would fire several blaster bolts at the man with a line of sight before he rolled into cover of another pillar, once again allowing him to keep from staying in the line of sight of the Knight of Ren.

Things were getting deadly very quickly. Seeing that the apprentice didn't appear to be worried about her anymore, Riz'kacha began to turn to leave before she felt an immense pang of danger radiating from the Eternal Champion (@Mr. Teatime) facing Oren (@TWD26). Without thinking, for there was no time, she reached out with the force to redirect the dangerous vibroblade away from its intended target, a strong but otherwise inaccurate push bringing it in the direction of the apprentice that was currently on the way to intercept Saul (@Nightfall). It likely wouldn't hit, but if it did it would be moving fast enough to penetrate the apprentice, not to mention the effects the lightning that had been coursing through the blade to cause a detonation would have.

After that, Riz'kacha was ready to leave. Sheathing her lightsaber with a zip, she turned head tails and started running towards the door that Thalia and Saul had come through. Should she be uninterrupted, it's likely that her retreat would be complete.

Talak's thrust was immediately swept aside, and in true Makashi style, he immediately started falling back and withdrawing his hand again. It was only this that saved his hand being shattered.

The Force energy slammed into the base of the blade rather than the handle and yanked Talak's arm to the side. He tried to hold on, but it was wrenched out of his hand a moment later and the now-extinguished hilt slid across the floor.

His opponent was already moving, and Talak went with the momentum of the blow. He dropped low to the ground so that any attacks would fly over his head and continued that momentum into a spin that turned to a sweeping kick that was aimed at the Champion's leg below the knee, looking to snap the ligaments of the knee like an overstretched rubber band.

Accompanying that, the blade in his left hand spun above his head, preventing himself from being chopped down on, and as he came out of the spin, his arm extended into a high swing from his own right to left as he came through the spin, looking to bisect the Champion at the torso. The goal wasn't actually to strike him, but to occupy him with blocking the more dangerous attack while his kick would hopefully strike. With the Champion's momentum carrying him toward the strikes, dodging aside would be difficult.

His intention was to then spring back away from the Champion, and put space between them.

The Kel Dor was already partially behind him, but his attempt to shatter the Sith’s fingers had failed. Nevertheless, he was mindful of where the hilt went flying, noting it in case there was an abrupt desire to call it back. He was preoccupied with the younger Sith abruptly adjusting to the situation, now sweeping in with his left leg.

Sol hadn’t launched any new attacks and could adapt as well, and he was quick on the uptake. As the sweeping kick whirled in, the Kel Dor shifted to plant his own left firmly and adjusting his stance to position so his shin to take the kick directly without making him buckle. Though this sent pain coursing through him, it was better than the original trajectory being hit. Furthermore, the sweeping kick was while Talak hadn’t planted his hands on the ground for momentum and he was launching a saber attack at the same time, and this would mean the kick would have less damaging power than intended.

At the same time, Sol launched a powerful, concentrated push with his left free hand towards Talak’s left shoulder to send his blade trajectory forward and away from Sol. As he was already disbalanced from kicking, this would also make him topple forth towards the ground with his left leg stretched behind him from the contact against the Kel Dor’s leg. Sol’s blade came whirling in counterclockwise then to slice directly through that leg at the calf. If by chance the blue saber still came towards him after the push, his own slice down would catch it.

It was clear the Champion had no desire to allow Talak to go anywhere.

Talak was starting to feel like a bit of a rag doll, slammed around place to place and spinning here and there under the Champion's attacks. But he didn't know when to quit, and at this point even if he'd wanted to he couldn't.

The felt his leg slam into the Champions but without the effect he'd desired. No shattered knee, no toppled Champion.

He felt the Force slam into his left shoulder and cut short the blow that had been intended for Sol's chest. He recognized the dangerous position he was in, but once again instead of resist, he went with the blow.

The hit was designed to knock him forward and his right leg was already flexed tightly below him. With a burst of speed from the Force, he leapt off the flexed leg and evaded the strike faster than an Olympian off the starting blocks. It shouldn't have been possible, but such was the power of the Force that by the time the blow had reached the point where it would have passed through his leg he was gone.

Unfortunately for Talak, his leg was still hurting, the move was somewhat haphazard, and he ended up half-slamming his right shoulder into the wall several meters away instead of coming to a graceful stop.

He was on the back foot, and he knew it. He was probably - definitely - outmatched, and it would take no small amount of luck to actually down this titan. Still, he didn't back down. His eyes locked onto the Champion, transitioning the saber to his right hand as his eyes scanned over the dark-robed figure. He already knew what he needed to do, but getting it done wouldn't be so easy.

He darted forward again, swinging the saber from his own left to right horizontally at sternum height. Just keep throwing yourself at the enemy, yes, this was a great plan. At least his death would buy time for others to evacuate... hopefully.

When the lightning struck, Nash had unfortunately caught one of the hits as she stepped and twisted around to face the new darkness behind her. She screamed savagely as the shock traveled down her arm, torso, legs, flesh burned where the strike had hit and burning away the fur. There would be a permanent scar there, radiating from her right shoulder down to her knees, and the smell of burned flesh and fur filled the room. She twisted and collapsed to her back, her blade arm moving to defend if the assault continued.

Using her left arm, she would attempt to redirect the blow, but her vision was going dark. At least she had the chance to tell him she loved him... there was some peace in that.

Hannibal's initial two shots went wide, impacting somewhere behind the targeted darksider. He felt the gathering of energy again, his opponent relentlessly trying to use the only reliable weapon he had against Hannibal's blaster. Just as planned. Instead of trying to prevent his blaster being yanked off course and tossed, he allowed his wrist to bend to the right and opened his hand, finger safely sliding from the trigger guard, the blaster telekinetically tossed off into the distance.

When the Knight let the weapon go his hand dropped down, grabbing hold of his crossguard shoto. He disengaged the mag plate with a thumb press and pulled the hilt off his belt in one motion, igniting it with a snap-hiss as his opponent closed the distance. The hilt was held at a 45 degree angle to the ground, tip up, secondary blades arranged vertically.

The darksider was moving forward rapidly, enhancing his speed with the Force in a straight line, while Hannibal was stationary and stable in his guarded stance. The prisoner had also exerted use of the Force four times in rapid succession within the last few seconds and Hannibal had yet to use it at all. The thrust was fully extended and targeting Hannibal's stomach, which meant it dropped below the point of the Jedi's dueling guard by at least a foot, opening the prisoner up to a riposte since the two fighters had similar melee reach. In trying to thrust into Hannibal's stomach the prisoner had placed the tip of Hannibal's lightsaber very close to himself.

The Force, ready to aid the Jedi since the fight began, allowed for a wickedly fast reaction time. Hannibal half stepped left and slightly back, moving off the dueling line to avoid the thrust with a bark of laughter. His right hand crossguard shoto also darted out in a short motion to bat aside the tip of the thrust off to Hannibal's right, the unstable end of the vibrosword targeted by the much more stable center of the shoto and the tips of the guard prongs to send it well off course. His left foot remained in front, toes pointed to face the darksider while his back foot rotated left to keep his stance properly in place, the tip of his lightsaber remaining aligned with the darksider's chest during the movement.

Hannibal would now be off-line and slightly to the darksider's right, well away from the incoming thrust while the Jedi's riposte took form. As he moved he simultaneously flicked the dual-phase button on his left-hand lightsaber with his thumb, the one meter blade shooting to a full two meters from mere centimeters away. Should it strike, Hannibal's counter-thrust would pierce through the center of the prisoner's right pectoral, through a lung, and out his back.

If the darksider was impaled successfully, continuing his forward momentum would result in the blade burning through his side and weapon arm as well, and Hannibal would be able to quickly flick his lightsaber in a variety of directions to inflict grievous injury or even death.

The shoto remained ready to deal with a counterblow as well, the Force running through him freely, still at nearly full strength and quite capable of defending himself.

Sol didn’t need to look down to know his saber cut through thin air. His jaw tightened as Talak darted forth, springing off his right leg to pummel himself forward and out of range. The Kel Dor didn’t move instead using that window to call Talak’s second blade to his own hand. As Talak scrambled back to his feet, Sol twirled the saber between his fingers.

“You are making a mistake,” He said curtly, “I can teach you. You have such potential,” Sol stashed the hilt away, not intending Talak to have access to it any time soon. He was prepared when the younger Sith was on the move again, though he was disappointed to see him still fighting.

As the saber swing came in, the Kel Dor burst forth with speed before it was even halfway through the arc. He rushed in with his own blade angled vertically. He met Talak’s blade with his own and would catch it perpendicularly, pushing Talak’s blade back towards himself.

At the same time, his left open palm came up to slam directly into Talak’s face. The blow would be sudden, abrupt and Force imbued to crack his nose almost instantly. With his blade arc incomplete, Talak’s left hand was out of range to do anything useful in that instant or see the physical attack coming. Despite that, the Champion was always prepared to readjust on a whim - he had seen certain people try and pull trakata during moments like these after all. His hand would retract from the nose the second it hit to maximize the force of the blow.

Oren was stuck in a dangerous spot, and he had underestimated the skills of this champion of the darkside, his force push had little to no impact against the man. The Jedi Master had never been the best fighter and his Master had always made it aware that he could have been better. I should have listened to him, and Byron.. His teeth clenched a bit as he saw the lightning blade come towards him, he didn't have much time to react at the moment, he'd bring his hand up as he tried to center his left hand, in an attempt to use Tutaminis, but lacked the concentration to channel it effectively--his already burnt hand sizzling as he felt a charge run up his arm--and then he expected death.

But, it seemed that the Jedi Padawan, Riz, had used the force in a rushed manner to save the Master's life, causing it to wibble a bit out of the direction of a kill shot, and would quickly explode sending Oren back a few meter as he slid on his feet. as he felt steaming shards of melting mettle pepper his lower abdomen, as he grunted in pain. His adreniline pumped through his body, and would allow him to stay standing for a bit longer--but, could prove fatal if he didn't escape. He had to leave, he could be dead very well soon if he didn't get first aide, but his mind urged him to stay; He couldn't worry about that now.

The Champion wasn't done though and would quickly begin to overpower the man, but due to the explosion his pyro would only begin to reach the man's severely wounded left arm, burning and sizzling the skin and the smell of charred flesh began to fill the room as his shirt slowly melted into his flesh. He'd stumble back, as his saber dropped to the ground. He had to stay, to keep fighting, but saw that Nash and the others begin to slowly retreat back. The alarms in the prison annoucned to evacuate, and it seemed they had accomplished part of their mission, and for that Oren knew that even if he died then, at least countless lives were saved. He had lost today, and could very well be dead within moments. But, he knew now how naive he had been, how laxxed he had been about training himself to fight, if he survived he wouldn't allow such a mistake to happen again.

His right mechanical hand would grab his stomach as his left hand dangled at his side, he'd quickly turn and begin to limp towards where the ranger had appeared from. If he was stopped he would try his best to hold out for the others before dying, if not, he would need treated right away. I love you too.. Was all he could really think about.

As Kal was running towards the landing pads, something hit him pretty hard in his conscience. The Jedi were helping to keep the Red Sabers at bay, yet from the footage he had seen and uploaded to HQ they were being beaten back pretty badly. There was a high chance that they would die, and it would be done fighting for people that had suspected them, one even having been imprisoned for years by the people he was trying to help. That...That didn't seem right, to him. He clenched his fist, torn by all the chaos going on and who to protect and help. He had to make a decision. He'd not trusted his gut before, and it had led to a man losing their life from his failure. He'd follow it this time, he wouldn't live with regrets this time.

"Roland, I'm not going to be able to make it there myself immediately, there's an issue I need to handle now or it will be too late. I'll have my fighter give you cover, though." ( @Darasuum ) Ranger Roland was a Mandalorian, someone he trusted to handle himself, but he did radio the pilot in his TIE Hunter to cover the other Ranger after dealing with the hovering starfighter. He took out his blaster rifle and heading for the doorway leading into the DMZ. He didn't now if any of the Jedi were still alive, he'd find that out soon enough, but if they were, he'd try to give them some covering fire. He'd just become so much red mist if he engaged in closer combat, so the only option for him was using the doorway as cover as he fired from range. From what he had learned from his investigations and from speaking with other Jedi, he would try to keep a strong hold on his rifle and stay as far from the aggressors as possible, to try to stay out of range of their lightning or other abilities. He knew he could die doing this. But could he live with not even trying? ( @TWD26 , @WiffWaffs , @Killa Ree , @Mr. Teatime , @Dread )

He took Talak's lightsaber! That was just, unbelievably rude. Now if he didn't manage to kill Sol, he'd never have it back. Or... he'd be dead, and then how many more people would be killed with his own blade?

Somehow, that made him all the angrier. But what really caught him off guard was the invitation to teach him. It actually gave him visible pause before the charge forward.

Teach me what? How to murder innocent people? To be a slave of the Eternal? he hissed as he charged forward. So far as he'd seen, all the Champions lacked the balls to stand up to their leader.

Sol was quick, but Talak's greatest strength had always been his own speed and agility. In this one area, Talak was nearly a match for the Champion.

As Sol darted forward, it was clear he wouldn't be able to finish his blow as their sabers collided, and rather than charge complacently, he pivoted on his right foot, swinging his left foot wide and toward Sol's right side, and therefore keeping his own blade between himself and his enemy's hand. The pivot would also place him outside of easy striking distance and send the strike for his face wide over Talak's right shoulder. Talak understood why Shae Vis had so heavily favored such a pivot. It was extraordinarily powerful.

Meanwhile, Talak's left hand fired a stream of lightning under their locked blades. He had no illusions that he was strong enough to outright debilitate the Kel Dor with the attack. All he hoped was that it would catch him off guard long enough to pass the current through his body for a few moments before he could stop it. The real target was the breath mask. Much like Darth Vader's life support system shorting out from a burst of lightning, Talak could only hope that the mechanical breath mask would likewise short out and the Kel Dor would be left to choke on the planet's oxygen. Hopefully quickly, but if not he would take slowly as well. Or... you know... something that helped Talak not die. Or the Champion would anticipate the attack and avoid it. That would be unfortunate.

Sol had his left hand already withdrawn, not having overextended himself for the nose strike that missed. However, as Talak pivoted, the Kel Dor quickly moved with him, just as rapid on his feet. At this close range, he couldn’t see the lightning coming. There was searing pain as it poured into him for just a brief moment. However, he had his blade positioned vertically against a horizontal saber. This meant all he had to do was slide his blade down to catch the stream and deflect it back at Talak at point blank range.

However, the brief impact of lightning definitely shook him up, and he felt the jolts course through his body and burn through his skin. The rage and pain in his body culminated into the Force which he harnessed. Using that, his left hand came in to slam directly into Talak’s right hand that gripped the saber and held it horizontally the same time his saber slid down. At this distance and with that much force behind it, Talak would find it very difficult to avoid having his fingers and hilt crushed.

The Kel Dor was furious now, and it was showing in the way the Force pulsated through him. He would show no mercy from here on out, and his body continued to rattle with pain. The thin sliver of lightning had traveled up to the breath mask, a hairline fracture cracking along it very slowly.

"We are the only way we know how to be!" He growled, drawing a rattling breath, "Have you tried changing it instead of turning your back on it? Abandoning it is the easy and cowardly path, maggot."

Ender may have expelled some force but not nearly as much as Hannibal thought with just a quick burst of lightning and a dash of force speed. The Jedi didn't even attempt to wrestle with his blaster and that made the effort of removing it from his hand and throwing it away cost practically nothing. The Jedi took a step back away to avoid the thrust but he wasn't going to let his blade just sit there when it didn't find its mark, pulling it back instantly afterward. The shoto would come out and strike his weapon but with it already moving back, only the very end would be struck and barely move his blade out of its path and prevent it from returning.

With his momentum still forward and not fighting it, he stepped even closer to the Jedi and closed the distance as he moved with the Jedi, his free and undisturbed left hand would strike out blindingly quick for a death grip on the Jedi's wrist of the hand that held the shoto a mere moment after it struck his blade and exchanged an attack for another. It wasn't a complicated move and with less than two meters between them, that lessened the time and reach required for the hold to potentially land and would be difficult to avoid.

At the same time, with the Jedi's lightsaber aimed toward his right pec, he got low as he pivoted to his left, the lightsaber extending past him and mostly in the air. It would graze the outside of his right shoulder with a quick burn since he wouldn't be able to dodge it all together but he would continue through the pain as with his blade free and in the same motion from pulling it, he would give a quick strike clockwise to push the lightsaber to Hannibal's left after and away from him.

Ender would squeeze tight enough that it would prevent Hannibal from flexing his wrist to twist the blade around and possibly cut off his hand the moment his wrist grab landed if it did. If the grip was successful, lightning would spew from his palm and immediately enter into lightsider's wrist to burn and melt the skin underneath and make him drop the shoto. If the grip remained around his wrist, he would continue the lightning so that it spread through the Jedi's entire arm and eventually his body as it would be severely burned from the inside and out. The vibrosword Ender had pulled back would be to the side of his torso, the blade between him and the Jedi's extended lightsaber for defense in case he countered or prepared for an offense if there was opening as he stood more in front of Hannibal's right shoulder. If the attempt to grasp the Jedi's wrist failed, then he would just quickly pull his hand back to his side and let the force build in it.

Still no reply. Bast was not one to panic, but her two calls for others had been met with an eerie silence. Silence was never a response that indicated a good outcome. Through her work as a detective, Bast had learned silence meant trouble. If a house was silent for too long, somebody was probably dead. If a person went radio silent on all coms, they were dead or in deep trouble. She doubted the situation inside the building was any better.

The dissonant sounds of blaster fire and screams echoed against the cold walls, but Bast ignored them. As any well trained enforcer would know, one should never trust their ears to lead them to or away from conflict in echoey areas. Therefore, she ran faithfully towards the smell of blood and charred flesh, her mechanical spine’s hydraulic fluid pumping rhythmically to her swift footsteps. Eventually, Emblai ran into her first living body. It was not a friendly one. He seemed to be engaged with a Jedi, and he was wearing some sort of voice modulator. Every snide comment of his was a low, foreboding rumble (@Versok). She quickly ran for cover behind a crate and aimed her blaster rifle at his right shoulder, firing two shots at the man roughly four meters away. She would rather not shoot to kill. Yet.

Wow, the lightning had actually hit. That was great! Except that it apparently didn't manage to totally bust up the mask like he had hoped. That was not so great.

It was only his own lightning that saved his life. The spasms and twitches in the Kel Dor's muscles slowed the attack against his hand enough to give him the split second he needed to evade it. His hand pulled back just in time to evade the strike, but he missed the lightning reflected back at him.

It bounced off the Champion's blade and back into Talak's legs, buckling his knees as agonizing pain shot through him. Were it not his own lightning, it likely would have been even worse, but upon being struck, his own energy stopped filling the circuit.

His saber was still held above him to defend against incoming raining blows, but his arms felt weak. His own muscles seemed to spasm under the pain, and he struggled to keep himself upright. But if he quit now, he'd die.

He could feel the rage and the fury in the Force, and Talak was afraid. It was the same fear that he'd forced upon Ana on Kashyyyk. Ana... Lilith... how many others had relied on him? Now he left the Sith. Would they face penalty for his actions? Did they even need his "teachings" anymore? He'd always been a terrible teacher.

The rage and anger poured out of him and pooled in his left hand, bursting low in a telekinetic blast directly to the Champion's knee that was now close to Talak who was on his own knees. Even if he didn't manage to break the man's right knee, the force against a barrier would likely be enough to nearly throw him across the room.
