DESCRIPTION​

Based off design specifications stolen from a number of governments by the famous Bothan Spynet, and named for an ancient Bothan deity, the Atlas was one of the main reasons for the failure of the Hutt Fleet invasion. In combination with spry bombers like the Starchief, the Atlas was able to quickly strike at the Mandalorian, and Chiss designs that made up the bulk of the Cartel Armada. Though lightly armed for a ship of her size, the Atlas is incredibly fast, with outstanding sensors, and targeting computers, allowing her to hold her own against designs with significantly more firepower.

Utilizing an upgraded take on the Proton-8 reactor, the Atlas has a lot of power her disposal to put into maneuvering. Thrust vectoring, and a number of secondary engine units allow the Atlas to twist and maneuver in a way that Galactic Alliance, and Imperium Star Destroyer drivers could only dream of. The production of such vessels has put a great strain on the Bothan economy, but with support coming in from the Rebellion now, the shipyards are free to start up production once more, and the lack of a Cartel threat on the borders allows the Rebels to make extensive use of the Atlas.

Intent: The other big display of the new Bothan presence, this ship serves a couple purposes. For one, it kinda explains how the BOTHANS managed to defeat the Cartel Navy besides Furry James Bond and Co. Secondly, the Atlas provides the Rebellion with a more hodgepodge look while giving it something to rival the Skiratas and Hyperions (though I understand that the second is being phased-out), @Clayton.
