DESCRIPTION​

The AT-PT, known formally as the All-Terrain Personal Transport, is an ultralight combat walker manufactured by Rothana Heavy Engineering, and originally developed for the Grand Army of the Republic. Unlike the AT-RT, which has similar dimensions but is light and open for maximum speed, agility and visibility, the AT-PT was meant as an infantry-level force multiplier, advancing with the troops and essentially acting as a mobile heavy weapons emplacement.

The AT-PT is a squat, well protected machine, 3 meters in height with a single crewbeing inside, plus a single passenger in an emergency. Unlike the AT-RT, the AT-PT is enclosed, its occupant protected by blast-proof transparisteel and moderate durasteel armor, sufficient to keep out most small arms fire. The AT-PT is well armed for its size as well, being equipped with not 1, but 2 repeating blaster cannons in a forward ball mount. Also present is an under-slung 15-shot grenade launcher. Able to run at up to 60 kph, the vehicle is not as maneuverable as other designs, but still a far cry from its larger, heavier cousins.

AT-PTs, though they served well during the Clone Wars, were largely relegated to rear echelon duty by the Empire after they came to power. Unlike the AT-RT, which found a second life as a sport vehicle, the AT-PT is very definitely a military vehicle, an image it could never shake. Most were scrapped during the Imperial era, although a few have survived the 3 recent Galactic wars to be used in the present day.

Restricted. The AT-PT is indisputably a military vehicle. Civilian ownership is heavily regulated on most worlds.

INTENT​

To bring a vehicle from Canon into our site's fanon, and to create a standard ultralight combat walker.

RESTRICTIONS​

AT-PTs are powerful military vehicles, with sturdy construction and enough firepower to decimate whole squads of infantry and even light vehicles. As such, they are restricted to being faction assets at this time.
