Experimentation in cloning had never ceased since the days of both the Galactic Republic and the Empire, Aska Ryun being evident of such. Thousands of years prior to the rise of Emperor Palpatine, during the height of the ancient Sith Empire, a warrior of the same name had made a name for herself in securing large swathes of territory in the name of her empire before facing execution at the hands of the Jedi Knights after the wars conclusion. This warrior was driven by a thirst for revenge for the death of her husband who had been slaughtered by his own Jedi Master for his betrayal to the Order. When her own demise finally came in the wilds of Onderon, she had given her children a task; ensure revenge is attained.
Years passed. Centuries. Millenia. The Ryun clan never forgot this promise nor they’re hatred for the Jedi Order. If there was one thing they could do, it was hold a grudge. One thing they couldn’t do unfortunately was give birth to another family member capable of harnessing the power of the Force to enact their revenge. Because of this, many of the clan sought ways to bring back the power that was once theirs. All failed in the endeavor but one scientist by the name of Tristan Ryun had found some minor successes. After securing the genetic material of the fallen Sith warrior from a bygone era, he obtained a secret underground lab on the world of Coruscant and began to work towards cloning the fallen warrior. Many of his subjects were inferior to what he wished to achieve but one clone managed to stand out from the rest, AC-004.
This clone, dubbed Aska Ryun after the host of her genetic donor, would be raised in the lab by scientists and droids alike. The first fifteen years of her life would be spent learning basic knowledge that any standard civilian of the galaxy would be expected to know, granting her an average level of education. The remainder of her time in the lab however would be spent in grueling combat simulations, obstacle courses and mental stress tests that would shape the young clone into a spectacular warrior by most standards.
Told she was created to serve a Hutt crime lord on the world of Teth, Aska instead decided that her fate was her own to shape and eventually managed to escape the lab, taking to the galaxy at large. Jumping from world to world for some time, she would eventually settle on Nar Shaddaa after finding work at one of the local docks. She was still unsatisfied with her life, she craved something more…
In the days since, she has made a name for herself as a capable mercenary and bounty hunter and has settled many of her issues that come from her past… Though not all.
Aska has been known to not be one to mince words. More often than not she can be expected to say what's on her mind with no fear of repercussion, instead facing said outcomes of her actions head on. Because of this demeanor, she struggles at establishing and maintaining any concrete relationships with others but those that do find themselves forming a bond with the young clone are viewed as family. These people see a rare side of the clone, a softness and compassion that even she wrestles to accept at times. Those that have found themselves in such graces, she will defend with everything she has.
Headstrong, egotistical and forever defiant of authority, the clone struggles with adapting into any sort of hierarchy construct. Aska typically feels the need to be the one in charge unless an authority figure has managed to earn her respect, which can be a monumental task though not impossible.
A little known fact to even those closest to her is that Aska has a soft spot for non-sentient creatures. Mental tests performed on the clone in her youth would allow the child to bond with such animals before having them taken away and eradicated. Because of this, she often keeps an arms distance from any sort of animal that tries to bond with her though deep down, she craves such a bond.
Finally, credits are king. Always.
