Vax groaned as he lifted another piece of wall, well what used to be a wall, off the ground. Others clad in their armor were doing the same all around him. He cursed as all that was revealed was another dead member of Clan Eldar. He knelt beside the burnt corpse and whispered a silent prayer to Kad Ha’rangir to help guide her soul to Manda. He stood and looked around as others found survivors and it seemed there were far more alive than dead. Still, this kind of retaliation was expected but karking hell this was overkill. Well not overkill after Medriaas he supposed.

He continued his work and thought on what he'd seen. He'd only been back on Concord Dawn for a few hours before they were hit and hit hard. Empire troops swarmed the village without warning in the night. Clan Eldar did their part of course and met the attackers as soon as they arrived. They had been out numbered at least 3 to 1, which was about an even fight in Vax's eyes. Still the elders and children hadn't had time to get to proper cover....karking empire. Sure the Mando's were now in full revolt but they, so far as Vax knew, had only gone after military targets. He kicked in the door to a still burning home and was met by a young girl who clung to his leg. Vax kneeled and brushed back her hair, she couldn't have been more than 7.

"Hey it's ok, you're ok evaar'la solus<young one>."

The girl just cried and Vax picked her up and carried her outside handing her off to a medic to make sure she was ok. At the moment it was the best he could do and would just have to hope her parents were still inside. They needed to find any and all survivors as fast as they could. They had managed to push back the Empire for now, but Vax didn't think the fight was quite over yet. Clan Eldar needed to move and he had no idea how long they had to do it.

It didn’t matter that the Eldar clan and Solus clans weren’t allied to begin with. She and her people began to put their old differences aside to come to help one another out. It was clear that they had one, big looming enemy to face together. The Sith war machine devastated entire swaths of the galaxy, subjugating entire worlds and bringing them to heel. The Mandalorians had become the punching bag for a long time, and they were finally fighting back.

Clan Solus originally had little support due to their staunch disagreements over ever working with Sith throughout their history. Medriaas proved to be the breaking point that finally kicked various smaller clans into gear. Among them was Clan Solus, small in nature but willing to set aside old rivalries and differences for the greater good of the people. Raz was among the first to gather up a number of people in her clan to take them to the city where Clan Eldar was under attack.

Clan Eldar was also small and largely left to fend for themselves while the bigger clans and houses duked it out amongst themselves. Clan Solus sought to step up to the plate to come to their aid when they needed it the most. Within moments, ships landed and healers and soldiers alike flooded out to help those in need.

Raz was clad in her beskar’gam, carrying her rifle in case any Imperials remained in the area. Initial reports suggested that the place had been cleared, but it was important to evacuate the survivors before a second strike came. She moved past people, ordering the healers that came with towards the medics’ tent. Once there, she spotted a man that had just handed a survivor girl off to someone, “Su’cuy” She said in greeting, “Clan Solus stands with you today. How many have you lost?” Her voice was grim as she looked around at the remnants of what looked like a genocide.

Vax heard the ships before he saw them, he'd nearly drawn his pistol, the thought of the Imperials return in his mind. He almost laughed once he realized the ships were of of Mandalorian make. He patted the little one the head and saw fellow Mando'a began to filter into the town and began to aid Clan Eldar in the rescue efforts. A woman approached him and Vax nodded as she introduced herself. From her voice he could tell she was sincere in her offer and care for Vax's people.

"Su cuy'gar. Yeah the hut'unns<cowards> hit us hard. We hit'em back harder though." Vax cued his comms to check in with his fellow Eldar warriors for an update before turning back to the woman. "From what I can tell we've got about 20 dead so far, mostly warriors....a few elderly and children. Sounds like at least 30 injured, most of which are ok to move. Anybody else who's able is helping with the search efforts." Vax held out his arm and if offered he'd clasp the woman's forearm in a more formal greeting. "Names Vax, and if you're here to help, Clan Eldar will gladly take it."

He looked around now and with the added ships of Clan Solus they could probably get any non-combants and injured safely away if they hurried. He looked back at Raz then, "So we raised enough of a rukus to wake the neighbors huh?" He'd give a half-hearted smile behind his T-visor. He knew the joke was in bad taste, especially then, but if he didn't make the joke then he'd probably have some kind of break down as he began to walk to the next carbon scorched home.
