DESCRIPTION
Angar Thorn's saberstaff is a Sith weapon that was originally constructed during Angar Thorn's tenure as a Sith Acolyte and Marauder. It originally housed a pair of red bled kyber crystals. However, after abandoning the Sith for a life of crime, Thorn modified his lightsaber aesthetically—including a new pair of kyber crystals. The modifications include a pair of spikes that resemble the crown of thorns on the Zabrak's head and encircle each of the weapon's emitters. When not in use, the weapon can be hung from his belt or extended to act as a walking stick.The new kyber crystals powering the weapon are a pair of Krayt dragon pearls which give the blade its signature orange blades. The pearls also give the blade other properties, such as the fiery, explosive way in which they ignite. The ignition sound is also far from the snap-hiss of a traditional lightsaber blade. Instead, the activation of the blades emit a high howling sound, akin to a Krayt dragon's roar. The decision to embrace new crystals was meant to signify Thorn's decision to leave behind his Sith life and embrace the life of a Dark Jedi bent on forging a criminal empire.
