Risk tugged the hood further down over her head and looked carefully at her hands. She had caught a ride here from an old acquaintance, but had failed to ensure she had work coming her way, but the nightmares of Sith and darkness kept her frozen. She hadn't left the safety of the town she was in for days even though the flow of work was slim to none. You need to get some money to catch a ride to the next planet. Travel to towards the larger cites to earn yourself some credits, she nagged herself though this only caused her to tug the sides of her robe closer to her body. Risk rested her left hand over her blaster and gently ran her finger tip up and down the trigger. It calmed her nerves but only slightly. She was a wreck and there was nothing that seemed to be changing that.
She moved herself over towards a nearby tree and proceeded to sit down. She glanced at the nearby pathway and silently watched the people who were walking past. You need money. Get up and leave... she tried reminded herself, but only succeeded in huddling deeper into the folds of the robe she had stolen from a nearby inn.

The dim light of a cigarra illuminated the edges of his scaled face.

'Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money, Doctor.'

Shifty eyes flicked back and forth beneath the extravagant top hat and black umbrella hanging from his wrist.

'They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with.'

A long drag, a glance to the rocket launcher, single shot, and shotgun with 8 reload clips sitting on the floor beside him.

'Some men just want to watch the world burn.'

Picking up the rocket, the rodian in the suit loaded it without trouble.

'But you already knew that, didn't you?'

A wide grin spread across his face, and he fired at a the base of a tree with a small woman sitting in it.

-Seven minutes before-

"Doctor, we simply cannot afford to have another malpractice suit! If I did not know better, I'd say you were performing these ghoulish actions on purpose for your own sick, twisted pleasure."

"Not pleasure, sir, science."

"Science? You call THIS science!? Tearing a man in half then augmenting, if you can even call it that, his torso with spider legs and his legs with a mechanical spider body? Its nightmarish! Not to mention bloody expensive and terrible PR if anyone were to find out!"

"No one would find out."

"I did! Now get out! Get our you maniac! Take your madness elsewhere!"

"... Alright, if you insist. I'll take my madness to where it can be appreciated. Just you wait, doctor, you'll see, YOU'LL ALL SEE!"

-two minutes before-

"Damn I hope that sounded convincing. Now, all I need do now is create a little pandemonium, then flee the planet. Change my name and no one will be any wiser for it. Foolproof."

Risk felt adrenaline course through her body as she launched herself away from the tree. She moved much faster than a normal person possibly could and it was the only thing that allowed her to still be breathing. She cursed lowly under her breath and had her blaster in hand the next instance. "Son of a blaster!" she shouted as she pulled her hood back enough to look around her. Risk fixed her gaze upon the origin of the rocket and felt her eye twitch. At least that got you moving, she joked with herself before casting her eyes towards the maniac that fired at her. Risk had her blaster in hand and aimed steadily at the man's scaly body.

Verity swore loudly after hearing the explosion. The Zabrak she had been...'talking to' managed to get out of her grip due to her surprise, and was already too far to bother recapturing. The intel he had wasn't important enough. The Rattataki looked around for the source of the noise, eventually spotting the remains of the tree.
She checked her saber, and picked up the small communicator on her belt. "Hold down the ship. If anyone undesirable tries anything, take off, leave for a while and come back. You got that Slip?" The astromech on the other end beeped, and she put the device back, and began storming over to the reason she lost the location of a dozen potentially force-sensitive children.

Risk cursed under her breath once more as adrenaline and survival instincts pulsed from her mind and throughout her bloodstream. She could sense the danger and anger moving towards her direction and only had seconds to act. She couldn't handle any close encounters with any force users, for she'd rather died than be brainwashed into any order. The force was nothing but a curse that people used manipulate the very universe itself, Risk growled to herself as she steadily stood up. And using her own guess work there were only a few things to assume. One, was that the person heading towards her general location was most likely Sith. Two, the fact that said person is most likely Sith means that a pissed off one will sooner kill her than give her time to escape. Three, that meant she had one choice and that was to run.

She regarded the lizard man that stood before her and shook her head. The man had made no move to shoot at her which means that she could simply slip away. Take the back streets out of the town and head towards the largest city. Priority location: sleaziest cantina a girl can find. She planned quietly in her mind and gently tucked her left hands into the long sleeve of the robe she was wearing. It allowed her blaster to remain hidden from those who weren't highly observant and moving through crowds easier. She would be hidden, yet prepared for the worst. Risk quickly darted across the frozen groups of people and towards the back alley, but she gravely miscalculated. She ran straight into the path of a highly angered female Rattataki. Nice going, laserbrain, she scoffed to herself as her body tensed and her connection to the force awoke with great ferocity at the sight of the Sith before her.

Verity looked down at the girl, something she couldn't do often, and picked her up by her collar. "I don't care what happens to you, but I do have an urge for violence. I will ask you a question. Who set off the rocket?"
Her saber flew into her other hand. "You don't have long to answer, so I suggest you hurry, child."
She wasn't on the look out for force-sensitivity, her mind clouded with petty vengeance, and didn't notice the untrained energy from within thebTwi'Lek

Jake had not seen every thing but he could figure most of it out with out straining his mind. And the short of it was the girl was in danger. He sliped through the crowed unnoticed with his long black and red cloak concealing his gear as he sliped in to the ally behind her. His force signature well hidden.

"My laddy is this thing bothering you" as he gave a elaborate bow comming up with his mercy stun pistol raised. The beuty of a stun pistol vs a light sabre was they could not deflect stun bolts. Good thing imperal storm troopers where stupid.

"Look, I'll keep this simple. There was an insane lizard man a little ways over that decides shooting someone with a rocket launcher was the way to makes friends," she pointed from the way she came from. Adrenaline and fear coursed through her veins and she was itching to do something or anything. She would've love to get into a good fight, but it was foolish to seek a thrill rush from a trained Sith. She kept bouncing from fear to excitement at every turn and she pushed hard to keep her calm and sarcastic front on the surface.

She glanced over at the man who had walked up with his blaster in hand "Kind, sir. The crazy Sith and I were merely having a little chat, but I must say she certainly is rude. She keeping a little girl from escaping an insane lizard man..." she trailed off with a small smirk though her eyes flickered with unease and panic.

Verity was so tempted to just use the girl as a shield, and kill them both. But they had a deal. "I've got what I wanted. You're both free to go." She dropped the girl none-too-softly, and began walking with purpose to where the Twi'Lek pointed. "I suggest you hurry before I change my mind. I don't spare people often." At the end of her sentence, her lightsaber flared to life, the purple blade humming quietly as she walked.

Risk slowed her breathing for a few moments and tried to bring her humming nerves back under control. It frustrated her that she allowed herself to get caught by that Sith and infuriated her even more that her life had been saved due to her connection to the force. She glanced over at the man who had appeared and tried to intervene and offered him a snide smile, "What foolish pride or chance at glory were you hoping to gain?" She glared at her own hands while caressing the trigger of her blaster.
