When he had told his Jedi Master that he needed a break from the Jedi he had expected more pushback. She had actually encouraged it. After a lecture of "You need to figure out what you want your path to be," she handed him some credits and a communicator. He wanted her to stop him, tell him he wasn't a failure, and that he needed a bit more time. That wasn't Lucia Ris. She touched his shoulder, smiled, and left the room.

That had been a month ago. He had quickly run out of credits. He was no fan of the plain Jedi diet, but at least it was free. He had made it as far as Coruscant before he had to get a job in a shop selling high-end droid parts. This wasn't how he pictured his soul searching would go. This sucked.

Kalen had drifted off into his thoughts before his boss, Agnus Grast threw something at him and gave him another task. She had a habit of chasing workers with her terrible temper. Kalen didn't have too much choice. It was a job, and he let him eat every day. She even let him stay in one of the one-bedroom places above the shop...for a fee.

"Alright, alright!" he said, picking up a broom and started sweeping.​
