BIOGRAPHY
Alhazred was 'born' in high orbit on the Givin home planet Yag’Dhul as part of an experiment to create a Nu-Vaal that was more oriented to the rigors of space. By depriving his water of nutrients, keeping his body in low orbit around the planet, and constantly exposing his flesh to the light of the star, Yag-Dhul developed a body that was more adept to fitting in the close confines of starships, more resilient to solar radiation, and more adaptable to lower forms of gravity.

However, after his birth, Alhazred received very little training from his ‘host’. While he was taught the basics of where his Vaal was located, and the importance of its secrecy, as well as his host’s personal views on the placement of cosmic objects and how they affected the galaxy, he was often left under the care of Givin scientists and mathematicians. As a result, Alhazred became very disconnected from his home species and never once visited the planet of his people. When his host left him, Alhazred stayed on Yag’Dhul, taking part in their scientific practices and learning their ways of calculating the universe.

However, Alhazred was always out of place with the Givin. His own mind could never fully match the mathematicians around him. While he was gifted compared to most humanoids, he was always a lesser. His life changed however when he discovered his connections with the Force after a visiting Jedi sensed his potential and helped him acquire a kyber crystal as a test of his force sensitivity. Intrigued by this discovery and the possibility that he could explore the connections between it and the placements of stellar objects, Alhazred left Yag’Dhul and joined the Jedi order. His highest hopes were to study the deepest secrets of the Force and take his discoveries to Vaal to enlighten his own kind.

Personality

Alhazred is insatiably curious but quiet, partially due to his species’ poorly developed vocal cords. He inherited his species’ love of language as well as their superstitions of celestial objects. Unlike most of his species, he has developed a compassionate side due to being poorly raised, and see’s Jedi as his only family in the universe.

However, Alhazred has shown a stubborn streak when it comes to learning and experimenting. While never crossing into the realm of immoral, Alhazred has shown a willingness to dive into more forbidden and esoteric pieces of lore concerning the Force, often willing to put his own safety aside. He has routinely requested for other Jedi to look into the secrets of unorthodox groups like the Nightsisters of Dathomir, to the annoyance of his more well-trained collogues. He has also requested numerous times to examine ancient artifacts collected by the Jedi Temple, but denied the chance due to his newness in the Force.
