Forms and study sounded like it would take some time to learn. But that would come later with more organized drills he imagined and with time. "Thanks. You have some nice moves yourself."

Deactivating the blade he looked at it while inert and thought about the options Indy gave. "The last thing I want is to be mistaken for a Sith. I've seen and heard about green and blue from you guys, red from them, white's gotta be better then red right?." The ranger clipped the lightsaber to his side for the time being.

"You made it sound difficult or even dangerous, purifying the crystal I mean. When it comes to that sort of thing I defer to your expertise." The Ranger felt he was ignorant of what he was asking. Roland imagined it might be more significant than he might realize and tried his best to convey that with his answer.

She smiled at his question of colors, nodding along. "Green, blue, sometimes purple even, or yellow for Jedi," she answered, arms crossing. "White is neutral. I've even heard of darksabers, but never seen one. But red... that is the domain of the Sith, true," came her musing reply.

She stared at the hilt of his blade a moment, frowning. Truthfully, she'd hate to make him wait after coming over to get answers... she had no idea how long their meeting was going to go, and she doubted making him wait would be the wisest course. She had no doubt he was patient, but even patience for something as important as this would not be long in holding.
"Purifying it... means that there is no dark side signature, and makes it easier to wield," she answered, but knew she was repeating herself, stalling in fact.

But then she smiled, and offered her hand.
"I'll do all that I can to help, however; you've come this far, I'd hate to make you wait."

"Darksaber?" He asked, tilting his head to the side out of curiosity. He remembered a tail of an ancient Mandalorian that crafted the weapon but thought it was a fantastical story. Then again, he was a Mandalorian among the Rangers. Maybe there was more truth to the original story.

"I'm in no rush. Do you know how long it might take?" He was curious to see what the purifying process entailed. If she would allow it, Roland wanted to observe it being done. Worst case scenario he imagined that he would get bored and go back to working on one of the other cases he was working.

Unclipping the weapon from his belt all the same he would hand it over to her. He waited a moment and looked at the weapon on Indy's hip. Pointing at it he would ask "May I see your's?" She mentioned the dark side made it harder to use Sin's lightsaber. But he had no basis to go off of for what was hard or easy.

Her eyes lit up when he asked about the darksaber; it was like someone asking her favorite moment in history. "Oh my stars, yes, they're so beautiful in historic text," she gushed, beaming. "Just the technology alone, the historical context, the appearance! Oh, to get my hands on something like tha---" she suddenly cut off, cheeks turning a pale violet.

"I mean... yes. Those." At his next question she hummed, frowning. "I'm not sure. Depending on the strength of its' former Master, it can either take hours, or mere minutes. I can try, however." When he asked to see hers, she hesitated. Not because she didn't trust him with it, but because the design was simplistic and basic. Many made their own with some sort of décor or beautiful touches with personal meaning, but the only thing she had her personal touch on it was a wrapping of linen fabric around the grip. Slowly, she handed it over, then gave a faint smile.

"Just try not to cut me down while I work,"
she grinned at him, then paced some distance away, dark sider's hilt in hand.

When she knelt to her knees, the hilt hovered up from her hands. She took several deep breaths in, grounding herself in the light side, feeling it answer and fill her, letting it wash her mind until there was simply the hilt. Then she began to take the emitter apart slowly, then the hilt, all pieces floating in their proper order.

The crystal floated alone, a ruddy light dim in the dojo.

She took one last deep, cleansing breath... and wrapped her hand around it, closing her eyes.

"Think I'd been told there was only one of 'em." He remarked and shrugged. The significance of the Darksaber at this time escaped the Mandalorian.

Indy handed over her lightsaber to the Ranger. "Thanks." He said with a smile and looked the item over, turning it between his fingers to see if his naked eye could ascertain differences aside from aesthetic. One hand gripped the weapon as if he were ready to activate it but moved it around to see how the unignited handle felt in terms of weight.

Looking up from the Pantoran's weapon he saw her already focusing her attention into a trance like state. His thumb moved away from the ignition switch, figuring the activation of a lightsaber might break her concentration. Roland's curiosity could wait as he stood and watched the black hilt lightsaber separated without her even touching it or using any physical tools. The blue skinned hand reached out and clasped the heart of the lightsaber. The Ranger blinked, not sure what to expect.

The moment she touched it, she could feel it. Like a punch to the gut, the wave of anger smacked her squarely, threatening to overwhelm her. Red light shone out from between her closed fingers, and a sound almost like a scream tingled up her arm, felt keenly to those sensitive enough. It soon died down, but she was forced to relive all of it.

The death, all the death. The anger, the pain, the hatred of all those living on Ajan Kloss. Its' Master was not an outwardly malicious being, it seemed, but not one she would have wanted to share life philosophies with. Her eyes opened, and she forced herself to look. To be calm, to soothe the pain, the twisted anger, the grief.

Sweat slid down her back, and her eyes stung as it showed flashes of all those friends she had lost. All of what she could have earned had she turned aside the Jedi, had she stayed on Pantoran. Had she chosen instead to stay with those she loved rather than all the risk, all the pain of choosing the light side.

The screams began to die down, the red began to dim as she focused deeply, gaze lost to the deep red heart of it. Slowly, she could feel it begin to turn, to lessen.

She did not know how long she focused on it. But the world around them dimmed in focus until at last it was finished. When it was reassembled, and fell back to the ground she fell forwards as well, elbows bracing on the ground as she shakily gasped for breath, trying to will her speeding heart, but inwardly she felt sick. The many things that man planned to do... the many darknesses that lurked there, leaving her feel shaken. She had never faced a dark sider before... the corruption within made her wish she never would.

Roland sat patiently, watching Indy as she focused on the crystal. He could see signs of exertion the longer it went on. The Sector Ranger's eyes went from the parts of the lightsaber to the slightly glowing hand of the Pantoran and then her face. Part of him made him wonder if he should stop her the longer it went on.

"Indy?" He said calmly. But there was no response from her and her eyes remained closed. Turning his head he looked to see if there was anybody else witnessing this. The Mandalorian shifted his weight and began to stand up when he saw her hand flatten, the kyber crystal rising from her hand and dropping back between an array of pieces, reassembling back into the black hilt it had been housed in before.

As soon as it was finished Roland saw her heaving from the amount of effort she had put into purifying the crystal. "You going to be ok?" He asked with some obvious concern in his voice. Whatever she had experienced, it seemed far from pleasant. "Did you...see something?" The Mandalorian's tone said he was unsure if it was logical to even ask that question. Some of these force abilities that the Jedi and Sith were known for seemed impossible.

She could almost hear Roland behind her, but couldn't focus on the words. The world was swimming in and out of focus, and when the nausea passed she blinked, then gave him a weak smile. "Hey, sorry about that," came the response, and then his words registered. Her vision focused, and she closed her eyes briefly, huffing a faint sigh. "Yeah, I'll be fine," she replied, grimacing at the sour taste still lingering in the back of her throat.

"It was..." she paused, trying to marshal the words together, but none of them felt adequate enough. Nothing she had ever felt before seemed so painful, and yet this man wasn't even that particularly gifted in the Force. He was simply another Sith, but it felt like a hole in the Force, and though it had been filled, it took so much out of her.

"Cold."

She closed her eyes, willing the world to stop spinning, then sighed again, trying to stumble up to standing. When she did, she gave him a thin, warm smile.
"I'd bow, but then I might fall over, and my credibility as some amazing Jedi may be compromised." The light joke was a little flat, but she held out the hilt to him.

"I hope it feels much lighter and more wieldy to you now, Roland."

Roland looked at the hilt of the lightsaber being returned to him. At first he didn't take it. Instead he looked back at Indy, making sure it was alright for him to take back again. "Well that looked tiring. Do you have a place you can rest?" The dojo didn't seem like the best place for the woman since it seemed like she could use a nap or something.

He waited a few moments but took the lightsaber. Holding it in his hands for a moment he would thumb the activation switch. The snap hiss it had given before repeated itself but this time the light was not red. Instead it seemed to be a soft wight glow. The cross-visored helm of the mandalorian stared at it and noticed the hum was slightly different as well. Time to admire the tool could come later. Stowing the lightsaber away he turned his attention back to Indy.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to continue training sometime." He extended a gloved hand for her to take if she wanted. The hour was late. Roland wondered if even he had dozed off while the Jedi had purified the crystal.

She nodded wordlessly to his question of a place to sleep. She felt tired down to her bones; her whole body ached as though she had been tossed down a rocky ravine, and she was sure she would sleep for days if uninterrupted. It was nice of him to be so concerned, though. She took his hand, then grinned again, this one a little more alert, full. "I'd like that, actually; can I get mine back?" she joked, and when he would hand it over clipped it back to her holster.

The world still felt off-kilter, but she wasn't going to faint in front of him, or she'd never live it down. Instead she forced herself to stand up tall, and try to make her way back to the doorway. Even though she felt tired enough, she wasn't sure if she could sleep after all of it. It seemed she still had much to learn.

"Oh right." He had promptly handed the woman's lightsaber back to her. After she took it he would wait and make sure she would stand steadily enough. Putting on her 'strong face' and posture made him smile. It was relatable considering how he sometimes pushed himself. Before he left Indy's company he would give her his own contact information.

Roland walked with Indy until she got situated. Their talk was minimal and the Mandalorian could tell she was beyond tired. "Let me know when you're feeling better."

After leaving he passed a familiar face though he wasn't sure if he knew the name. It started with an M as far as he remembered, he only heard Indy say his name once. The Ranger gave the young kid a glance before heading back out to his ship. The other padawan that had been near Mathias looked at Roland as well, the two no doubt talking to one another about the Knight and the Mandalorian that had sparred one another. The look in his eye was one of curiosity. Roland had felt that after seeing veteran warriors return from a job. The mixed amount of caution, respect and curiosity had been something he knew all too well.
