Ash nodded in agreement, and allowed himself to follow behind Oren. He rejected the idea that he was being led anywhere by anyone at anytime, but he acknowledged that the older knight did have a better idea of the layout of this cesspit than Ash did. He payed little mind to the general bumping and moaning from the various quarantined domicile's and businesses, but he kept fingering the little hook keeping his lightsaber on his belt as his only sign of anxiety.

"Money. They must think they are doing something worth the extreme cost of both buying enough spice to put a whole level of a city into a malaise and figure out how to make it dilute into water without loosing its properties, that is of course assuming we are correct in our assumptions of where all this is coming from. After that we need to..." Ash stopped talking as he realized that most likely, no one really cared for the intricate hows and why's of the numerous possibilities of what could be happening. Hell, he wasn't even listening to himself talk.

They reached their destination and noticed the motley crew of droids milling about as is their prerogative. Ash listened absentmindedly to the little chat they were continuing to have, before tuning back in just as Nashyr was presenting one of the stupidest ideas he had heard in the last twenty minutes. Which was entertainingly around the amount of time they had all been down here.

He clicked his teeth again to get her attention and shot the Cathar a reprimanding glare. "Right, we'll just let one of use run out there against a bunch of a droids, and into an unknown amount of spiced up limb thieves?" He asked sarcastically, directing his anger onto the older woman, anger that was unfortunately flaring again. "No. We will not be doing that. Best we stick together, as we already said. There will be other entrances we can find, side doors and the like. None of them would require us fighting those droids. We aren't in a rush, so lets take our time with it. Scout out the place a little and find the best place to enter." He finished, grinding his teeth.

For all his bluster, Ash's anxiety for the situation was just showing in different ways than his fellow Jedi. He was simply getting more and more frustrated and short with the people he was working with. He was beginning to come to the conclusion that they were both of below average intelligence and needed to be told what to do. And he was scared, though he would never admit it to anyone including himself.

Oren was about to respond to the man's assumptions about the root cause, but stopped when the man began a tirade against the padawan. While he didn't agree with her thought process as much as the Knight, he did think the man had crossed a line at that point. This whole trip he had his emotions swirling like a toxic storm, and he was now taking it out on a student.

"Ash," his voice would crack a serious tone, "There are better ways of getting a point across to a student. If you can't keep your emotions in check or focus on the mission at hand, I'm going to request that you stay outside and watch for any trouble," his words were pointed, but not filled with malice or content. He didn't need him freaking out, not now.

He would motion for Nash to follow him, and Ash if he chose to ignore the Knight, sneaking into the fence systems, he'd motion towards a small side door that was nestled along a stack of crates. They would have to be careful if they were going to get into the system, he'd sneak forward, his feet moving as gracefully as they could until he was moments away from the door. He peered towards it, finding that it was locked. It seemed the droids hadn't found them yet, but could at any moment. "Do you know slicing?" He'd ask at no particular person.

She knew she ought to be slightly irate at the Knight's tone with her; he was ten years her junior, and seemed to have enough anger issues to boil the water off Mon Cala. But the truth of the matter was...

She simply didn't care.

He was simply her senior, and even how he was her senior was a question she would have to ask later. But perhaps his feelings were based off a more primal emotion... and if he was anxious, she could understand. To a point. Maybe.

She glanced at Ash, then spoke.
"I know it was an awful plan, but it was the first thing that came to mind. But thank you for pointing that out, Master Ash." That was all she was going to say, as well. She had the feeling allowing herself to get frustrated was only going to add fuel to the fire anyhow.

She followed Oren by his example, but when he mentioned the lock... she gave a sly grin, sliding something from her sleeve.

"You mean... something like this?"

A computer spike was held in her palm, her voice low.
"Cover me, you two, and I'll try to pick my way through. Just don't get me shot." She shuffled closer slowly, eyeing the lock with a sigh.

This could take a while.

Ash stared at Oren, assuming that he didn't hear a word of what he had just said about splitting up. Then stared at Nashyr with an utterly befuddled expression. He muttered to himself, almost shocked somehow, "Why would you say something you didn't mean?" He spoke quietly but still audibly. It was perhaps hypocritical to ask considering his own actions, but he would rarely admit he was wrong, and he would never admit it when he was scared, angry and anxious. His pride was all he held onto in those situations.

Internally he raged at his companions but didn't vocalize any of it. Knowing somewhere in the back of his currently emotional mind that the tirade he was producing would genuinely ruin any chances of working together with them. As usual he was unconsciously grinding his teeth, making for an ugly sight for anyone on his right side, but finally he just put up his hands and took another deep breath.

It didn't really help, so he took another and began counting to ten. Maybe Oren was right? Maybe he should stay out and watch. No, he couldn't admit Oren was right, because that would mean Ash was in the wrong and he just couldn't have that. Ash knew what he was getting into when he agreed to work with someone he didn't like and he was going to see it through. He was actually kind of looking forward to the next couple of minutes actually, maybe he would die and wouldn't have to deal with the inevitable guilty self-reflection that comes after the mission as he contemplates his performance.

Wouldn't that just be a fine outcome?

Shaking off such dark thoughts, Ash took up a position a little away from the two other Jedi and leaned against a wall. He waited patiently for the cat woman to do her thing. He was forcing his uncouth emotions into the little bundle of other uncouth emotions that was quickly growing larger within his soul, replacing all thoughts with cold clinical thought. It was an effort, but they weren't in any danger and evidently his previous attitude was not welcome. All of this could of course be felt in the force.

It was clear that the man did not like him, nor did he respect anything that Oren had to say, which frustrated the Jedi to some extent. He never went out of his way to demean the man in anyway, but it seemed that any response that Oren gave, was never good enough for the man. He was simply happy that Nashyr was here, while he hadn't known her much, she seemed to be a strong and capable mind, and he had no doubt that if she wasn't here, things would have turned out to be much more different.

He would peer towards the Cathar and towards the open lot of the plant, anticipating a fight, but that never came. After a few minutes the door would slide open, revealing the facility inside. It was vacant, but something felt strange in the force, and no it wasn't the sulking piss poor attitude of one Ash.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw someone move off into the shadows, but any chasing would do them little good, for they had a much bigger problem on their hands. The piping system had diverted and all around the system, were crates of spice with a weird hazardous symbols, with pumping systems that seemed to push spice into the water system.. Why would the government allow this to happen, were they involved or are they just that inept.

"We need to remove the cabling system and take a few samples of this spice with us." He'd respond as he approached the large industrial crate system.

"Uh...sir...we have people at the origin site!" A B1 Battle droid would squeel. The Jedi Knight would turn to see the group of droids slowly approaching in, blasters drawn.

"Padawan, remove the spice connectors..Ash and I will handle this." He'd peer towards the man, as he ignited his blade, and shifting it to block a blaster bolt which was aimed their way. The two of them would have to work together, or the dozen battle droids would quickly take them down.

She gave a sideways glance to Ash as she worked, giving him a small raised brow. "I never say something I don't mean," she affirmed, but when the door opened, she pocketed the spike, mindful to withdraw her blaster once more when she did.

Unlike most of her brethren here, she was far more comfortable with a blaster than the lightweight elegance of a lightsaber. So far, anyways...

She gaped openly at the sheer... scale of it all. The boxes of spice, enough to make a rich man of any poor sod. The obvious source of contaminated water... then Oren barked orders. She blinked and wheeled about, blaster at the ready to knock down some of these droids... but as he seemed to be off playing the hero, she simply nodded and jogged over, a few blaster bolts singing past too close for comfort.

Remove the connectors, easier said than done... she thought to herself, scowling in focus. She began to reach for the first gauge... and felt it out. Twisting it to the left increased the release, to the right shut it off. She planted her feet into the floor, snarling as muscles bunched and she fought against squealing metal to get the valve to release...

However, if the two Jedi weren't careful, their prone Padawan could be in danger of a stray blaster bolt, or worse.

She was entirely to the mercy of their defense while she worked... and if she finally managed to shut it off, there were still three others.

Kark, couldn't things be easy for once?

It seemed that Ash had frozen in place, but Nashyr worked as well and as fast as she could, Oren would ignite hid blade as he took a deep breath. His saber would shift left and right as he deflected several shots from the battle droids. He would slowly walk towards the droids, deflecting several shots back into them as he felt the sweat build on his forehead. Things can never go so simple. He thought to himself, as he called out to the force and pushed a whole set of battle droids into the wall, crushing them.

He wasn't sure how hard he had fought or for how long, he had slipped into an inner peace that only snapped when he realized that the droids had been destroyed. He'd make his way towards Nash who had already begun to finish clearing out the water systems. The Jedi Knight would kneel down, examining the crates that were pumping clear. Kafrene Mining Co... He'd stand up peering towards the two Jedi, "It's time to head home..we've got some digging to do."
