The shorter human turned and switched the staff into his left hand to extend a right handshake, looking totally different and peaceful now that the duel was over.

"Name's Kemp Aeschylos!"

He spoke with a smile. He was a competitor, and he wouldn't forget how -he'd- be the one with a stab wound in his gut before he even had the chance to succeed in the duel. But it was in the past now, and Kemp would learn from this fight for sure.

"Whew! Good to meet you too! That was intense!"

Kemp spoke a bit over normal volume level, a little firecracker, and wasn't ever aware of it. He was just excited to meet someone in the sparring chambers. Most people stayed away from aggressive Padawans like himself.

Reflecting back on the duel, Kemp's enthusiasm led him to grab hold of his neck as he spoke.

"Man! I love how you entered and didn't even speak, and we just got down and fought!"

Realizing what he must have sounded like, Kemp looked around to make sure there were no Masters around to hear him.

Jarak took Kemp's hand and shook it, grinning, "When I fight I fight. Besides, I haven't been with the Jedi that long, but I sure have missed the bar fights, this more than makes up for it... now it was Jarak's turn to look around for a master, which he did before he continued,Anyway, I guess you must be one of the more advanced Padawan's here eh? Most that I've met so far are more interested in Telekinesis than dueling.

Kemp chuckled with a jutting lower jaw at the remark of prefering fighting over the Force. He was a bit embarrased of that truth, yet at the same time it was his strength as a young Jedi.

"Well I guess we have that in common! ..I mean, not the bar part. But I mostly grew up in the slums. Fighting was all there was ...pretty much."

Kemp thought of the muddy pit that he had fought in so many times as a kid. He took pride in his less than perfect life prior to the Jedi, having not been among the Jedi as a youngling like so many others here. Though, on his most recent trip to Coruscant, Kemp had learned he still had a waaaays to go.

Turning to the rack on which he replaced his wooden staff, Kemp turned back to Jarak and wondered if he'd still have some free time.

"Wanna head to the cafeteria and get somethin to eat?"

(OOC: Should we start a new rp thread for this? Also, I've just been assuming we're on Tython, is that where you had in mind?")

"Absolutely!" said Jarak, his thought's of food driving away his curiosity to ask about Kemp's past. He was also intrigued to meet what he felt might be something of a kindred spirit among the padawans. It wasn't that he, or probably Kemp either, discounted the role of the force in it's other aspects, it was simply that he felt most at home using it in combat, or through physical activities.

"Lead the way."
