"What a beautiful planet...so appropriate that I am here.." Elara thinks to herself, smirking as she casually strolls down a rather elegant look streets of Galactic City on Coruscant. As she walks past shops and restaurants and few important looking buildings, she looks up at the sky scrapers surrounding her. All the bustling and hustling of the people around her comforted her, for some reason. Maybe it reminded her of the nightlife back home. The closeness of people around her always charged her, made her happy. Of course, that almost always brought the attention of unsavoury characters, especially given how "friendly" she was, but it was something she learned to deal with. The right word, pronounced with the right tone, would soothe most people she met, or at least avoided major drama. So far anyway.

"Right. Time for a drink I think." She walks around a little more, enjoying the atmosphere. Before landing she decided that it was safe enough for her to leave her weapon in the rucksack on her back, rather than openly carrying. She thought she would drew less attention that way. After some walking around, she finds a bar within a neat looking marble building, with Blue and turquoise neon sign reading "Baz's Bar". As she walks in, she is greeted by a spacious bar, decorated in the same colours as the outside sign, with comfortable rounded sofas scattered through the room and small round table in front of each. There is a central round bar surrounded by classy looking bar stool with a turquoise top , where several bartenders were serving a few customers. The place didn't look very busy, but then again it was still early evening, Elara though. She was hoping it would get a bit more lively...But she supposed she had time. It was good to unwind before starting her career in the Sector Rangers for real.

She walks up the central bar and signals to the cutest bartender she saw. A tallish human, with red hair that parted in the middle, and rather brilliant looking blue eyes, that looked rather serious and quite handsome. She supposed being flirted with a lot might have had something to do with it, given that she most certainly wasn't the only one eyeing him up in that place. A group of rather giggly (and Elara suspected already tipsy) women dressed in local fancy clothes sat around one of the were whispering to each other and looking the barman's way. With a sigh, the bartender approaches Elara and with a monotone voice asks her "What can I get you?"

Elara looked over at the women, who were now raising an eyebrow at her. She ever so slightly smirks back at them, puts on her sweetest tone of voice she can muster, and speaks to the bartender

"Well, I would like something with a bit of a kick. You look like you know what you're doing. Surprise me!"

As she speaks, she sits on the bar stool in front of the bartender and smiles sweetly at him.

The bartender blinks a few time, seemingly surprised by the unusual request, but delighted at the same time.

"Hmm alright."

His lips go up in a slight smirk as he starts preparing her drink, as Elara takes a good look around the bar. The women she was smirking at earlier now seem to glare at her. She has to turn her head the other way to semi suppress a good chuckle. It took her a few moments to compose herself, although a soft giggle escapes her. When she turns again the bartender hands her a orange-yellow liquid in a cocktail glass. She smiles and pays for her drink then has a sip. Her face twists and her eyes widen for a brief second as the alcohol goes down her throat, before she chuckles.

"Oh yes, this is delicious and what a nice kick! Thank you!" She says excitedly to the bartender, who smiles back but otherwise says nothing and goes back to serve another customer. Elara sips her drink slowly, scanning her surroundings for anything interesting, her legs crossed over as she leans casually onto the bar.

Delnor had decided he did not like Coruscant all that much. The planet was just one giant city that went down for who knows how far. It was a city built on top of countless other cities. The planet below seemed dead. How did the Jedi of old decide that this was the world to base the order. Still calling the planet dead was wrong, you did not need to be Jedi to feel the life, you just had to look around you see all the life of countless souls moving about. Still Delnor was glad he was finished on the world. He come here to procure a very specific holo vid and Coruscant was place where one could buy all most any thing.

Walking down the streets Delnor looked up, it was all ways some what dark on Coruscant unless you where on the very top levels. The tall buildings casting long shadows and if you went deeper enough no sun light would ever reach you. Thankfully when Delnor looked up he could see the sky. The streets like all way where busy. The city never slept. Most people though ignored the young teen. He did not hide him self for that would attract attention more than simply walking down the street. Though Delnor did hide his lightsaber. It was close kept in a inside pocket of his black robes but out of sight. There was no need for any one to know who he was.

So when Delnor walked in to the bar he looked like any other young high school or college kid looking for a break. Though that was his look. Delnor could not hide from people how he walked and carried him self. Walking over to the central bar he waves a hand. "Pantooran spiced wine please." It was all ways nice to get a little taste of home. The Jedi order may be his new life but he was still a Pantooran and the Jedi order would not change that.

leaning back on to the bar he looked around. The bar was quiet so Delnor decided to stay at the main bar. Getting his drink he took a sip "Thanks" looking at the zeltron female next to him he gave her nod "Bar seems quiet for having good drinks."

Elara watched with a tilted head as a young man walks into the bar, sits next to her and orders a drink. She's never seen his species, and had no idea what he was.She smirks and raises an eyebrow at him when he speaks to her, getting another sip in as she turns to him. He was definitely looking too young for her to be interested, but having a good chat always beat drinking alone.

"Bar seems quiet for having good drinks."

Elara takes another sip, then lowers her drink still smirking.

"I always have good drinks...What's the point of drinking if you can't enjoy it?" She winks at the young man

"And aren't you a little young for a bar?" She says teasingly.

Delnor takes another sip of his spiced wine and smiles. "Don't trust looks that much. Some things that are appear old are actually young and some things that seem young are actually old." Taking another sip Delnor starts to laugh "Or maybe I am just a kid that grew up where the drinking age is lower. But any case I just wanted a taste from home. It been a few years since I have returned home"

Elara chuckles softly at the Pandoran's words. The bartender that served her glanced up before returning to his duties.

"Well true, and who am I to judge. Nothing wrong with wanting a taste from home."

She sips her drink again, truly enjoying the tingling sensation going down her throat.

"How come you have not returned home for that time, if you don't mind me asking? Something stopping you?"

While they were having a conversation, Elara hears hushed whispers in the group pf noble women's direction. They were still staring at the bartender. Something he definitely noticed, and definitely seemed to mind, given the half exasperated look he was giving. Elara had to repress a chuckle again, then turned her attention back to the Pandoran to listen to his answer.

Delnor chuckled at the sight of the gaggle of women fuaning over the waiter. He felt sorry for him since it was clear he did not want them. Delnor waved him down and he took the chance to escape the women "Can I get baked Cushnip" Looking over to the zeltron "You want all want one?" After she gave her response and the waiter left Delnor continued to speak.

"Mmmm I guess I just never really had the chance. I been training and in studies for some time and then just been busy with work. Pantoora is located pretty far in the outer rim so never been a world one can just pop over to for quick trip."

Elara is rather amused by the whole exchange with the group of noblewomen. She secretly decides that if the women were getting too much to handle, she was going to intervene. She was always confident in her ability to diffuse a situation without the use of a weapon. For the the moment, bartender was clearly grateful to both her and the young man for their orders.

"Oh yes sure! Always keen to try something new" She nodded to the bartender who started working on their drinks as Elara listened to the Pandora speak.

"Ye I get that. My father was not around a lot, he was always travelling too.." She keeps her voice as monotone as possible, but she knew it was a mistake mentioning her father. It pulled on her heartstrings, and she is not comfortable sharing so much with a stranger. So she changes the subject back to him quickly.

"What do you do anyway? Sounds like you've been all over already, despite your age. "

As she takes a final gulp of her drink, she puts the glass down, shaking the hit of the alcohol off "Uff that was a mistake"

She gives a quick chuckle, then the bartender comes over and sets the two plates down with what the Pandoran ordered. She nods to him with a quick smirk, then turns back to the Pandoran to listen to what he will say next. She still finds it strange that he seems so young and seems to know a lot.

(Should probably linked it in the first post. So my fault but changing glass to plat is all it needs Star wars bar food)

Delnor had to think for the answer to give and for the answer was for him self as while as the zeltron. Yes he was a Jedi but what did being a Jedi really even mean. Yes he was a protector of peace and justice but what that meant was harder to say.

"Guess you could say I am a protector and guide for those that need protection and guidance. Though a lot of travel was done during my training and though I miss home it is not the same way you missed your farther. I can at any time go home I have just not.....felt the need to return home"

Delnor nodded when the waiter returned as he took a sip from his wine. He looked the zeltron over and felt that she was not telling him every thing but neither was he so it was fare. They where strangers after all.

Elara looks over at the dish while the Pandoran speaks. Perfect timing actually, she thought, she was getting peckish. By the looks of it, there wasn't much to the dish..Still. She was keen to counterbalance the slightly strong drink she just had. She carefully breaks off a piece of the cushnip and has a taste. It didn't taste particularly flavorful, but it was pleasant enough.

Elara listens to the Pandoran and tilts her head as she eats some more . He was keeping it awfully vague. But then again, one cannot blame the man for not trusting a stranger. Elara didn't really give much info herself either. However she couldn't figure out what he was really? Maybe a ranger like her? In her head she made the quick decision the kid didn't look the wrong type, as she so often saw in nightclubs back home. A little strange perhaps, but not a bad person, for sure. In her experience, when you share a little, you get a little back. Once he finishes, Elara speaks again.

"Fair enough. I only have left home not long ago, so I suppose I also haven't felt the need to get back yet..But..a protector..what does that mean? Are you a Sector ranger? I have just joined them as well, though haven't been assigned yet. Hence why I am just biding my time at the moment. "

Elara smiles, as she takes another bite off her plate. She doesn't keep her tone ushed, she doesn't feel the need to. She wasn't yelling either but if anyone was to pass by they would have probably heard parts of the conversation.

"This stuff is not so bad by the way, good choice! "

Then it occurred to her.

"Oh and I think I've been rather rude. "

She stops eating, wipes her hands on the napkin that came with the plate, and extends her right one to the young man.

"My name is Elara. Or you can call me Elli if you like, most of my friends call me that." She gives him a warm smile, hoping it would encourage him to open a little. Not that she wanted to pry, but it's always good to make friends in her mind.

Delnor took a bite from the cushnip and followed it with a sip from his spiced wine. So the zelton was a sector ranger. Delnor knew about them and how they did there best to protect the galaxy and in fact with there being no central galactic force they where one of the only real groups out there. Delnor all so knew that the Sector rangers where the type that the Jedi could trust.

Delnor shook his head as smiled. "No no I am not a sector ranger. My organization is far older. I am a Jedi and yes we are protectors much like the sector rangers though I guess we answer to different ideals and codes both the Jedi and Sector rangers want the same thing. Peace and harmony."

Delnor took another bite from the cushnip and nodded "Yes i have found that it never a good idea to drink empty else one ends up like them" nodding his head towards the gaggle of drunk nobles one of who had just spilt a glass all over her self."

Delnor looked down and blushed. He had been rather rude to this lady by not giving a name. "You have not been rude. My name is Delnor Riek you may call me Del or Delnor it is nice to meet you Elli"

Elara was so startled by his revelation of being a Jedi she almost chokes on her food. She coughs a few time, patting her chest with her closed hand, then raising the other one to indicate she was ok. This was exciting, she'd never met a Jedi before! Of course she heard a few things about them and the order, but other than that she didn't know much!

"All good! " She regains her composure, and gives a quick nod to the handsome bartender that got close to check if she was ok.

"Yes i have found that it never a good idea to drink empty else one ends up like them" Elara looks over where Delnor nodded, turns back to him quickly with a smirk, followed by a chuckle

"Can't say I've never been in that situation...I am not the most careful person..In fact that last drink I had may already be having an effect.."

She gives a short chuckle, remembering several times, when she was younger, where she may have had a drink too many. She speaks after they shake hands. She also quickly orders a glass of water. It was way too early to get tipsy, especially since things seem to have gotten more interesting. She smiles at the young Jedi when he introduces himself.

"Del, nice to meet you as well! A Jedi!! No way! That's exciting! I heard that you can wave your hand and levitate things or something! But what brings you to Coruscant? It seems like a pretty safe place. " She tried to keep her tone to a level that wouldn't attract too much attention, just to be safe, but she couldn't help her excitement.

The bartender comes over to give her a glass of water, smiling, and as she smiled back Elara glanced over at the group of noble ladies, who were now glaring harder at her, if that was possible. If Elara had a credit every time a lady gave her that look for flirting with their object of interest, she'd be rich by now. But she was also used to it and it amused her to no end. And in any case, she thinks to herself, if they really wanted to do something about it, they should have , by now.

Delnor leaned back as he sipped his wine "I learned the art of drinking by observation when I was still a kid. I grew up in a rather well off family where parties and social drinking was part of the way of life. I picked up the do and do nots. All so would be wrong of me to get drunk as a Jedi"

Delnor stuck to his glass of spiced wine. It was a much lighter drink with more flavor than kick. With proper pacing and some food he knew he would not get drunk. Being a Jedi probably helped to

Delnor laughed, it was true that the Jedi where mostly not understood and that's been the case for all of history. Still the fact that Jedi where known for simply magic tricks was funny in a sad way.

"Yes we tap in to the force to move things but it more than just that. As for why I am here, I came here for research. Coruscant is still a world where one can find all most any thing. Though maybe I am here because the force wants me to be here"

Elara nodded as Delnor explained his upbringing.

"I can relate, my father was..is. a diplomat, and my mum runs a really popular shop, the clientele being mostly the richer people. We've had parties and gatherings since I was a kid as well. Though now I most decidedly prefer more relaxed settings... I can deal with elite social events , but I'd rather have fun drinking with friends, in a more relaxed setting."

She smiles at the Jedi and then munches on the last few bites of her dish, then has a gulp of water before quietly ordering another drink.

"Easy on the alcohol this time, handsome." She winks at the bartender, who smirks and raises his eyes at her as he goes to prepare her order. She then returns her attention back to the Jedi as he was explaining the force, blatantly ignoring more angry stares from the noblewomen.

"Of course, I am sorry, I didn't really mean to diminish your training or talents. And it is true you can find almost anything on Coruscant. I intend to do a fair bit of shopping in the next few days. Not just clothes but if I am going to start my career as a Ranger, I might need some more equipment..they don't exactly provide you with things."

She points at the rucksack that was still hanging on her shoulder

"I barely have a blaster." She chuckles as the bartender returns with her drink, nods and leaves again .

"But I have a ship. if you need a lift anywhere after this, let me know. Always willing to help out" She smiles and takes a sip of her new drink

Delnor chuckled when she said she needed supplies. Though the order did not provided there members with tons of supplies it did provided there members with some thing no Credits could buy. The Force was the greatest ally and more faith full than any blaster.

Sipping slowly on his spiced wine Delnor indicated he still had most of his wine. He nodded when the Elli eased down on the drink.

"I did not take offense, just pointing out that Jedi do more than use the force like a tool. We are how ever dependent on our connection far more than your blaster. So what where you even plaining on getting, you should weigh your self down with to much gear"

Delnor takes another drink from his spiced wine and gives a slight chuckle "Don't worry I do own a ship but if I need a pilot I will give you a call. Owning a ship and being a ace pilot is not the same thing"

Elara chuckled herself as she drinks her new drink slower, enjoying the taste better this time.

"Indeed, owning a ship and piloting are in fact two things. Also fixing it..I can do basic repairs and maintenance but having a mechanic around would really help. As for what I've planned..." She continues, sipping her drink once more.

"Well honestly not sure. I am not really planning on engaging in combat..that's..not what I do..I am a pilot, and I'm generally very diplomatic and good at talking things out, and not trained in anything else...so really maybe I don't need much. Can't hurt to get some light armour though i suppose."

She shrugs her shoulders. As always, she was always so keen on starting anything she didn't really plan for much. It had worked in her favour in the past, but if she was seriously going to tackle crime...Well she might just need to think twice before jumping the gun. Not only that..if she was serious about finding her father, she was sure she might end up bumping with..less savoury characters. Actually she was sure of it

These thoughts made her temporarily pensive as she slowly sips her drink again, her face slightly furrowed now. She wondered where he really was, if he was safe. Sometimes she feared the worst. Some times she was optimistic. Right at this moment, she was suddenly just anxious. She sips her drink and remains silent for a few moments.

Delnor gave a grunting laughter and waved his had. "AAA I have a droid to keep my ship operational. Actually maybe you can look in getting your self a droid. A good astromech is worth it's weight in credits and can help in all sorts ways. Though as a Sector Ranger I would think you should be ready for a fight. You will never know who you will meet out there or what task you will need to do. I would at the very least make sure you have some form of armour for those just in case moments. But I suspect you want some thing more. You know deep down you know you not going to spend all your time in a ship in space"

Elara shakes herself away from the train of thoughts she was having, and ponders on the Jedi's words.

"It's true, actually that might be a good idea to get a astromech. "

She nods as Delnor speaks further

"Yes I agree. I will most likely need armour and maybe a few other things. Thanks, that's solid advice. I normally am not very good at planning!"

She raises her drink to the young man, smirking.

"Cheers for an awesome suggestion. But I am most certainly not planning to spend all my time on my ship, even if I do enjoy flying. I enjoy winding down almost as much" She gives a short chuckle before having another sip.

She glances around the room again, and notices that people have been slowly trickling in and the bar is filling up. It 's not quite full yet, but the buzzing of chatter is slowly rising. The group of noblewomen that were ogling the bartender now get up from their table, pay their dues and with one last longing look make for their exit, not before the last of the group bats her eyes at the bartender and casually drops a datapad on the bar. The bartender pretends not to have seen it and goes on with their work, serving another man asking for a drink on the other side of the bar. As the women leave, Elara smirks at them and waves them

"Better luck next time ladies!"

A barly audible gasp is heard followed by "How dare she" as the women glare at her once more before finally leaving

"Well they seemed fun..." she comments, sarcastically.

Elara chuckles as she turns back to the Jedi "Honestly, I don't think those ladies had better things to do than stare and judge. I prefer an open discussion, frankly...as long as it doesn't turn nasty..." She takes another sip of her drink, still smirking.

It was the Jedi way to provided guidance and Delnor was sure that the masters would be happy with the advice ha had given. "Yes if you going to be off the ship on new worlds one should all ways be ready and even a planet like Coruscant is not as safe as people think it is."

The bar was getting a influx of people and it seemed the drunken gagel was not will to fighting for the waiters attention with more people. Delnore ignored the ladies as they left and finished his cushnip. Though he did let his mind flow out from him to sense the room. Just to make sure that they would not be in any danger.

Delnor chuckled as he sipped his wine. "heehaa, those ladies where actually harmless. But I agree it is better to frank and open but I will remind you you in a new line of work. Being discreet and will to work with those you don't like is a must. Though if I may ask. Why did you join the sector rangers?"

Delnor's question caught Elara slightly off guard. But he was right, she wasn't being very discreet.

"Oh I can be discreet when it matters. As for why I joined? Well that's a good question..."

Elara picks up her glass to look at it, thinking of what to say as she swirls it slightly. She takes the last sip of her drink and puts the glass down again, looking pensive.

"I've been lucky so far. I've had a good upbringing. No trouble. Almost.. Had what I wanted, had fun, never knew too much hardship..." Her tone softens slightly, and she was careful not to mention anything further. Not that she didn't think the Jedi was trustworthy, she certainly did, but just not to burden him further.

"But I am aware it's not like that for everyone. A lot of people struggle, suffer and try hard just to survive. "

Elara sighs softly. This isn't something she's used to think often, but perhaps she really should.

"It would be better if everyone wouldn't need to struggle to survive. There are a lot of people that take advantage of those that cannot fight back. I hate that. I want to do my part to reduce it. I don't think we'll ever eradicate greed. But at least we can try"

Elara looks back at the Jedi with a bittersweet smile as the soft buzzing of people chatter filled the room. It wasn't often she spoke of such serious matters. But as much as she enjoys a good time, she isn't entirely insensitive to what her life would have been had she not had such a privileged background.

Delnor shared a lot of Ellis views and it was probably why they met up. The force clearly wanted this meeting. "You are right, we can never remove suffering and greed from life. Even the force has a dark side to it and there is no way to remove the dark side. There are actually stories of ancient Jedi trying to suppress there darkness and every night in there sleep it would over take them and they would go in to low levels of Coruscant and kill innocent people. Course this was just a myth told to us in our training so we would under stand that you cant ignore the darkness and you must seek balance"

Delnor took another sip and sighed "In short dont let your desire to rid the world of greed and suffering drive you to darkness. But yes we can and we must strive to help."
