The Western Dune sea seemed to stretch for all the eye could see, an ocean of golden white sand that was often quite devoid of life--or so one would be lead to believe. Oren could feel through the shifting sands, sensing all the life that existed under his feet. Even in a harsh world like Tatooine life and the force existed. He had never been to this planet before, yet he found intrigue in it none the less, a feeling in the force that he was needed here. It was nice to be away from his various students and from the temple and his friends, to be alone in the galaxy with his thoughts and to help bring small actions of kindness to those who truly needed it.

He had forgone any of his traditional robes while venturing out, instead he wore a pair of pilot's slacks and a synth-hide vest with a white short sleeve button-down. His lightsaber had been hidden away within his jacket and he did his best to not try and stick out too much. He wasn't sure why he was here or where he was going, simply letting the force be his guide. He had traveled with a small band of merchants along the sea and towards the edge of the Judland Wastes. A small settlement was hidden along these two points.

His brown eyes would shift over the various aliens, many of them rugged and tired. Jawas moved about attempting to trade stolen goods as bounty hunters tracked down several smugglers. He sensed uneasiness and pain, mostly ignorance and fear. I wonder what's causing them so much pain.. He thought to himself as his eyes scanned over the signs on each building. The Lonesome Dewback, he chuckled at the thought of the name. Without much thought he would slide into the cantina, finding that it was mostly beat down and filled with quite the unsavory cast of characters. Several of them turned to appear to them, while what appeared to be a Swokes Swokes approached him.

"You're new around here," the large blob of a creature would grunt. "I wonder why....should I find out?" The alien's teeth would gleam before falling into a boisterous laugh.

Oren could sense the ignorance pouring from his body as well as the alien's fear of the unknown. The Jedi didn't feel threatened nor did he hate the man, with a gentle raise and subtle wave he would call out a suggestion to the Swoke Swoke, "You want to reconsider your job and your life."

The alien would tilt his head, "You know what...why am I doing this?"

A soft smile would form on his face as he suggested one last thing before moving away, "You want to help those in need."

"I..want to go help out the Syndar Kids and their elderly parents." The Thug would shake his head before quickly departing.

Oren hated doing that, suggesting things through the force. Good intentions could often hold terrible consequences in the ripples and fabrics of the force. He'd take a deep breath as he slid towards a corner booth, where he kicked back--simply waiting for the force to give him a sign.

The twin suns felt like an unbearable heat compared to the undercity of Nar Shaddaa. When Vara Dramm was given a chance to get off the Smuggler's Moon for her employer to secure new droids and electronics, she jumped at the opportunity. The holonet broadcasts of the pod races painted a radically different image of Tatooine than what she encountered upon arrival. What she expected in festivities and adventure, was instead sand and criminals.

The first hiccup in this so-called adventure was the trip. Every person she talked to prior to this trip told her she may get sick the first time she experienced a hyperspace jump, but she didn't realize just truly how fast hyperspace was. The public transit followed the Triellus trade route, which basically felt like they were stopping at every planet it passed.

A few days had passed since Vara had arrived on Tatooine, but most of them were spent traveling to the village closet to the Jawa clan she was set to meet. Quickly after meeting the Jawas, she learned just how much of a hindrance it was of her being unfamiliar with the Jawa Trade Language. Most negotiations were done through a protocol droid that translated between Huttese and the Jawa language.

Vara quickly learned just how mentally exhausting this trip would be, and that it may take a few days longer than she expected or hoped to come to any deals. Thankfully in the settlement she'd taken refuge in had a small bunkhouse that she was able to reside in, in the mean time.

This settlement had one particular aspect that reminded Vara of home though, and that was the cantina, The Lonesome Dewback. Drinks, while questionable, were surprisingly cheap and that was excuse enough for her to spend her time away from the Jawas here. She made her way over to the cantina bar, flagging for the bartender to pour her a drink. A Devaronian man immediately pulled up beside her. Having dealt with miscommunications through the protocol droid's translations with the Jawas all day, she only acknowledged the Devaronian's advances with, "Kark Off."

There are people who have money, and there are people who are rich. People who only have money tend to gamble, and Syrin was no different. Unlike most other people, Syrin also had the force; gambling was as easy as stealing candy from a baby. After receiving her payment of fifty-thousand credits for a recently completed job, Syrin went into a cantina called the The Lonesome Dewback.

Upon walking in, Syrin immediately noticed the number of shady characters inside; it was perfect. Most thugs had a fair amount of money on them, and she wouldn't feel bad for cheating in a game of Sabacc. She made her way into one of the backrooms where there was a good bit of commotion, and she watched as a Klatooinian left the table in anger. Syrin asked if she could take his spot, but she was told hastily that she had to play the Klatooinian's hand and bet. She figured she might as well play the hand, which she would soon regret. Syrin had a hand of 20, and she couldn't trade a card since a Sabacc Shift occurred when the Klatooinian was playing. The round ended and like that, Syrin lost ten-thousand credits. She was furious, "No wonder that bastard left the table." she thought to herself. Syrin would play the next few rounds legitly, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Twenty-five thousand credits was the bet the Kubaz sitting across from Syrin made. He seemed quite confident that he was going to win, and it couldn't have been a bluff; no one in their right mind would bluff that big in a game like Sabacc. Syrin was sure that the Kubaz had a Pure Sabacc, but she only needed one more card for the perfect hand. At the moment, Syrin had an Idiot and a three-card, and she only needed a two-card of any suit. There was a good chance she would get one when drawing a card, but it seems the force wasn't on her side; another three was drawn. However, she had a solution to her predicament. When it was time to show her hand, Syrin used the force to create an illusion of a two-card; this meant she had an Idiot's Array, otherwise known as the unbeatable hand. Twenty-five thousand credits were now added to her pile.

Furious was the Kubaz, and he immediately labeled Syrin as a cheater even though he didn't have any proof of her cheating. To his eyes and the people in the room, the cards placed were indeed an Idiot's Array. "Sorry pal, better luck next time," Syrin said mockingly. The Kubaz pulled a blaster out on Syrin and attempted to fire, but she quickly force pushed him into the wall knocking him out. The cantina now turned quiet, and when she turned around it seems as if everybody in the vicinity had their weapon drawn with ill-intent towards her.

Oren hadn't been to many places during his life, but this cantina seemed to be one of the more scummy establishments he had ever seen this side of the Hydian Way. His brown eyes would shift by various patrons, his brow raising a few times. He probably looked like an outsider, but he did his best to try and fit into the situation. A few people passed by, making a few side comments towards him. "I'm a pilot, Captain of the Centennial Convor, the fastest ship this side of the Judland." He'd rais his hands with a sly smirk. The words sounded good in his mind, but more likely than not they came across as forced and rather unnatural. Totally not cool, he'd think to himself.

It seemed things were going somewhat standard almost boring really. Possibly I read the force wrong, he'd think to himself. He caught the glimpse of a woman attempting to push away a Devoranian who seemed to get a bit too close, but that seemed usual for a place like this. He was close to leaving when he felt a disturbance in the force. His eyes would scan across the cantina, falling on a gambling table.

He caught the glimpse of a white haired woman and the subtle movement of her hand. She was using the force to play a trick, no different from what he had done previously. Yet, there was something different about the action, the reason behind its use. He felt slightly cold and watched the event play out with interest.

Things seemed to turn violent quickly and the Kubaz pulled a blaster from his side and aimed it at the girl. Yet, her actions next was something he didn't predict. She'd push the man against the wall, knocking him out instantly. The music that filled the cantina would quickly cut out and several of the patrons would pull her blaster on her. He'd bring his hands towards his chin, watching the situation with some interest. Well, what's she going to do?" He peered down towards the blaster at his side, he had no skill with such a crude weapon.

This cantina was just like every other she'd been in on Tatooine and Nar Shaddaa, Vara had come to realize. a mix of travelers and scoundrels, all trying to make a quick credit or forget about their day. When she initially entered, she noticed that there was a table of card players in the back, sabacc most like. An activity that Vara didn't have the money or interest to take up.

Vara's attention was fixated between her datapad's intermittent signal and that holonet projector broadcasting some local sport when the commotion began. Without even needing to look, she recognized it came from the direction of where the gamblers were. Surely someone lost a little more than they expected at the table, not an uncommon sight, especially in the more 'frontier-esque' cantinas.

She turned in her chair to see the Kubaz that was at the table was now standing, blaster drawn. Vara couldn't hear the alien from here, but was certain that he was accusing someone a cheater, and if she was a gambler herself, Vara would bet the silver haired teenager at the table.

Being no stranger to this type of situation, Vara slid her hand into her coat, gripping her own blaster, in the event things did get out of hand. Just as quickly as Vara's hand met the grip of her blaster, she witnessed the Force in use.

Based off her previous encounter with a Jedi in the Nar Shaddaa undercity, she felt like she had an idea what may come next. Vara let go of her blaster, leaving it in the concealed pocket of her jacket and stood up, subtly making her way to the door, in the event things got a little too hot in the cantina.

Hoping to get out of the situation without having to kill everyone in the cantina, Syrin attempted to persuade her unfriendly accomplices to put their weapons away: "Relax guys, it was self-defense. Things happen from time to time." There was a bit of sarcasm and playfulness in her voice. None of them seemed to be buying it, and even the bartender seemed to hold ill-intent "We don't take too kindly to force-users 'round here. I'll let you go if you hand over yer winnings." Syrin was obviously against the idea and she nodded her head no. She was rather experienced in getting in these predicaments, but she was more so experienced in getting out of them.

Force pulling the two other players during her game, a Gran and a Devaronian, Syrin held them in front of her and used them as human shields as she was fired at. A few stray blaster bolts would slip past and barely rub against her leg and shoulder, causing some light pain; it wasn't enough to stop her. When the firing stopped, Syrin immediately force pushed the two fresh corpses into a group of people, knocking them down. She already felt lightly fatigued from having to hold the two up for a good minute or so with the force, so she knew she'd have to finish this early. Syrin's first move was to cover her ears and let out a loud screech with the assistance of the force; otherwise known as a force bellow. It was strong enough to startle the people inside, and Syrin would then make her next move. Utilizing Aerokinesis to knock her foes away, Syrin flipped and weaved through the cantina. Her moves were elegant, but her strikes were fierce. There was intent to cause harm in her strikes, but no intent to kill. With each strike which seemed as if she was just punching the air, a concentrated and powerful gale of wind would launch her foes away. The few enemies that weren't unconscious immediately ran out of the cantina.

Syrin was fairly exhausted as she never had to use so many complex force abilities in one day like that. Surprisingly, using the force to create the illusion was the most tiresome as it required more concentration, and it was a new ability in Syrin's repertoire. She did a quick examination of the cantina by spinning around, and she noticed a rather old man with robes still inside. "You want your ass-kicked too?"

It seemed the situation in the Cantina grew from bad to terrible. The Jedi's teeth clenched as he sat back in the corner, most likely hidden away from the carnage. To see the force used in such a manner, so raw and with little care and thought. A cold sensation ran through the air and emotion and pain stung through the air. It oozed sensations of the dark side, yet the girl seemed unaware of the conflict and path she was bringing herself into. He'd need to put a stop to this.

He'd slide out of the booth, blaster in hand. He motioned towards the old man who quickly took off for the door. His brown eyes would peer down towards the cool steel, feeling the clumsiness in hand. Such a crude weapon, uncivilized honestly. The Jedi would lower the blaster as he slid it to his side. His right hand quickly reaching into his jacket and onto his saber. "Where did you learn to use the force?" He'd ask in a cold neutral tone. "Regardless, you're going to help clean up the bodies and the damages you've done here."

He could hear the sounds of men regrouping outside of the cantina. Knowing how justice operated, she'd surely be taken out. "I'll show you a better way, you just need to work with me." He'd say as he passed by her and out the door.

He'd find a group of rangers making their way towards the cantina, guns drawn. Oren would quickly raise his hand, "I'm the deputy in this town," he'd lie towards the group. "I got her coming out, she killed a few good men in there...I'm going to take care of this one."

Those who could deny the claim had already fled away from the location. The rangers looked suspicious, many of them not convinced. His eyes would shift on the woman who had been hit on earlier. His brow would raise slightly as he peered towards her. Well, what's she going to say? Possibly they could be talked out of this situation and after he could address the darkness that had broken out.

Outside the front door, she heard the commotion intensify. Blaster shots. Not an unexpected development. A lot of scoundrels take both sabacc and threats very seriously. It wasn't uncommon in this part of the galaxy for a sabacc game to end this way.

Vara took this opportunity take the deathstick she had tucked away behind her ear and light it. She had a hunch things may get worse before they get better, and the stims in deathsticks always helped calm her nerves.

As she took a drag of the deathstick, she saw a man run out, calling for a few people, likely locals or perhaps part of the same smuggling outfit. They looked like they were rearing up for a fight, not dissimilar to how a group of bounty hunters would go after a high-value target.

Her attention turned to the man exiting the building, dressed in plain pilot's slacks. As he spoke out, declaring himself the deputy in town, a familiar tingle poked at the back of her mind. A familiar feeling, that she didn't quite have a name or explanation for. She had felt it when she had met that Jedi, Ember, back on Nar Shaddaa. And she felt it again here. Was it a sign to help?

Vara watched as the group listened, having a hunch they weren't fully convinced by this man's declaration. She took the deathstick, smoldering it out on the bottom of her bantha-hide boot before pushing herself slowly off the wall and walking to the 'Deputy's side. "Alright. You all heard the deputy. Him and I are gonna take care of this criminal, no need for a posse." Vara gestured for them to shoo with one hand as she tucked the deathstick behind her ear. She looked at the deputy before gesturing with a subtle head motion to head back in.

She spoke with enough confidence that it appeared to help de-escalate the situation. Regardless of whatever was going on, Vara felt an obligation to help out who she assumed was a Jedi inside. Someone using that mysterious 'pushing' power had saved her, and now it was time to return the favor.

Startled at the man coming out the booth with a blaster, Syrin was ready to charge him until he lowered the blaster. She was still on her guard as the stranger seemed to pull a strange device out of his jacket; it appeared to be a similar device to her guard shotos and the saber of an acquaintance. Syrin was not pleased with the tone in which the stranger spoke, and she especially did not like to be commanded. "I'm not cleaning up this mess." she said sternly. She also heard the sounds of more men coming out and she was prepared to begin fighting again until the stranger began heading out. Syrin decided to let him and she took a seat on one of the few, remaining, and intact barstools.

Adjusting her bra, Syrin listening to the commotion outside. It seems the stranger, with the help of another, we're able to get rid of the group of people wanting to enter. However, she was unsure whether the stranger was helping, or if he really was a deputy. While waiting, Syrin wondered how the stranger knew of the power she uses if he was just a mere deputy. She has only known two people to possess the same power; "Is it really that common?" she thought to herself. No matter the case, Syrin was still prepared for a fight. She got up from a chair and began to crack her knuckles, waiting to see what will occur after the stranger comes back in

Oren watched as the rangers began to step down, peering towards each other and shrugging before turning off. They wouldn't have much time, but the two of them, this woman and himself would need to get the girl out of there. A soft smile would form on his face before he gave a stern nod, "The name's Oren," he'd say before motioning towards the door.

He'd enter back into the room, his hand removing a lightsaber from his jacket almost prepared for a fight. Yet, when he entered he'd find the white haired girl sitting alone at a table, the bodies still strung out on the floor. His eyes would glare as he motioned towards the girl, "My name is Oren Zapan, a Knight of the Jedi Order," he'd say in a neutral tone. "Those abilities you used, the way you used them..it's a path towards the darkside, let me teach you the way, show you the path towards enlightenment."

He'd peer towards the two bodies and then back towards the girl, he was unsure of the slicer's intentions behind him, would she try to shoot him in the back or maybe she was one of the few good ones out there? Regardless, the situation needed taken care of. "Your credits," he'd point towards the bar, "Leave them here for the repairs," he'd quickly move towards one of the bodies, his hands pulling the body up and over his shoulder. "We will bury the dead and we will visit with their loved ones." He'd say in a somber tone, "Or...I'll take you into the authorities, your call."

Vara nodded to the man, responding with her own name, "Vara," she responded as she followed him into the cantina. she looked back at the rangers, some of them had left and others were standing around to discuss what had happened. She had to keep up the rouse and at least head back into the now near-abandoned cantina. She contemplated what her next move was, truthfully, she hadn't thought that far ahead. Surely this makeshift possee wasn't going to give up that easily.

She followed behind Oren back into the cantina, and watched as he made his way back over to the girl. Vara knew that if something were to go down, she was in no position to intervene and made her way instead over to the now abandoned bar. Instead, she opted to sit back and watch curiously what may unfold between the two. Vara made sure she was in plain sight when she slid her blaster out of her jacket and rested it on the bar, hoping it would be a sign of good faith.

It came as a bit of a surprise that Oren was a Jedi too. A third Jedi that Vara had met in a short time? The way he spoke to the girl piqued her curiosity. Maybe only the second Jedi she'd encountered? The conversation implied that the sabacc player wasn't exactly a Jedi. Vara had at least a dozen questions, but knowing that time wasn't on their side opted to remain silent, so that they could address the current issue at hand.

In the back of Vara's mind, she knew this wasn't something she was likely going to be compensated for. She waited for an opportunity of when she thought the Jedi's attention was diverted and reached over the counter. She felt around blindly for the liquor rail and grabbed the first bottle that she could get. It was a bottle of Vaschean rye. Nice. She decided to leave it sealed on the counter for now, last thing she needed right now was a buzz before a potential fight.

Surprised, but not impressed; that was the best way to describe Syrin at the moment. She had known of the Jedi for some time, but she never knew if they were real or not. As a first time meeting one, she felt rather disappointed. Jedis were supposed to be legendary figures, and there was an average looking man claiming himself to be one. Oren's talk of the Darkside piqued her interest, as she heard the term used a lot during her time on Dromund Kaas. Though she was only curious as to what the Darkside was, not how to obtain it. The talk of enlightenment seemed rather drab, so she hoped she could weasel her way out of that.

With her nerves easing, Syrin sat back down on the barstool from before. She could tell Oren had no intent to fight, but she wasn't sure about the girl; though Syrin wasn't particularly worried about having to fight someone who needs to use a blaster. Syrin glanced back towards Oren once he spoke again, and she wasn't pleased. Once again, he was attempting to command Syrin, and she was not going to put up with it. She stood up from the barstool with some aggression, and she stared Oren directly into his eyes. "I'm unsure who you think you are exactly, but let me get some things straight with you," her tone was assertive, "first, I'm not going to leave my credits behind; especially the credits I had before the game. Secondly, I have no obligation to the dead and looking for their loved ones could take years." Syrin's tone was getting more aggressive, with her yelling the second point. Taking a few moments to catch her breath, Syrin sat back down on the barstool and gave a snarky look towards Oren. "If my memory is correct, I believe that the Zubas had pulled a blaster on me and I protected myself. I also recall the other thugs attempting to shoot me, and technically, they are the ones who killed those two poor souls." The tone of Syrin's voice was very disrespectful, and as she continued she leaned forward placing her chin on her hand. "Now tell me, oh wise Jedi, is self-defense against the law? Would you have taken the Zubas or thugs to jail if I were killed? Better yet, how would you plan to take me to jail? Would it be with force, or maybe the force?"

Leaning back against the bar table, Syrin couldn't help but chuckle after her rant. She found it funny how ethical she could get when agitated even though she was never really cared for ethics. To her, survival is everything. Syrin was curious to see how a Jedi, and this specific Jedi, would answer these questions.

Oren's eyes lowered at the white haired girl's defense. She claimed to have been acting out of self protection, but it was clear that she had started the situation. His hand would snap the lightsaber back to his belt as he shifted a bit with the body that hung over his shoulder. Force he's heavy...His teeth clenched as he looked towards the door. His patience was wearing thin and the markings on his face began to glow.

"You can't fool me, you put yourself in this situation, manipulating your hand with the force..It wasn't as subtle as you believed it to be." He'd grunt, "And when he raised his blaster you could have pushed over the money you stole, but you chose not to." The knight would point towards the body that was on the ground, "Instead, you chose to cause a ripple through the force with your actions. You use the force like a thug on the street uses a blaster--with little thought into what could happen, the ripple and changing of events."

He'd peer over towards the slicer, giving her a soft smile as he took a deep breath, "I'm sorry for dragging you into this, but don't you agree...the path she's leading down? She's going to get herself killed."

Vara looked over, surprised that Oren asked for her input on the situation. She glanced over at the door, it was still closed but she was uncertain for how long. She sighed, not fully aware of the situation, knowing darn well that there were elements that she wasn't aware of.

The young slicer decided to press her luck, and putting herself in danger among these two strangers and approaching them, she grinned to Oren. "I owe your kind a favor anyways," she remarked. Vara wasn't sure how tight-knit these Jedi were, or if Oren even knew Ember Blaze, the Jedi that had previously saved her.

Vara walked over to a position between the two, to form a triangled conversation. She glanced at both of them, sizing them up. Oren was definitely taller and had a natural maturity in his tone and stature, and while the silver-haired girl was shorter than Vara, her previous actions intimidated Vara.

"Look, I've seen people get killed for less in other parts of the galaxy," she said, as if there were not multiple corpses in the room. She tried to speak in an authoritative tone to conceal any fear in her voice. "Thought you Jedi were peacekeepers, yeah?" She specifically directed this towards the girl, while gesturing towards the deceased Devaronian on the ground. "Won't long in the Outer Rim with stunts like this."

Disappointed Syrin was; the Jedi seemed rather ignorant in her eyes. She let out a deep sigh and responded to the man's blind statements: "If I waited for just a second longer, he would have shot a blaster bolt between my eyes. If you paid close attention, his grimy little fingers were just millimeters away from pulling the trigger all the way down." Syrin's tone was more neutral but there was still assertiveness gleaming in her eyes. "I also believe your analogy is quite false. That blaster or any of the other blasters would have killed me if I was hit directly. If you look around, no one I used the force on is dead but merely unconscious. Unless however, you count the two I used as shields, but even in that case, it was the blaster bolts that killed them." Syrin flashed a smile towards the Jedi, but it was obvious she was doing it to mock him. She then glared over to his companion as she walked over.

The stranger didn't seem to care as much about the situation as the Jedi; it seemed as if she didn't want to be here at all. Syrin didn't like the tone the lady spoke in either, and she was quick to respond: "I'm not a Jedi, I'm also unsure what your vision of a peacekeeper is, but I did keep the peace. The Zubaz attempted to fire his gun, and I prevented him from doing so. The others WERE firing their guns, and I stopped them; without killing them I should add as well." Syrin leaned back against the bar counter again and stretched her arms out, "As far as I'm concerned, there is nothing to concern about the Outer Rim."

Enough discussion dealing with ethics was said, Syrin grew bored of it already. She could tell the two strangers, more specifically the Jedi, were not going to let up. They bored her, but she supposed it wouldn't hurt to please a few simple-minded people. She turned her hips around to face the gambling room and used the force to bring over the bag of credits she won, then she placed the bag on the bar counter. She looked back up towards the Jedi, glared at him, and with a sarcastic tone she said: "Since you have your panties in a bunch, I'll go ahead and leave some of the credits here." Syrin's face shifted into a more serious and assertive look; "However, I'm taking five-thousand since the Zubaz was going to shoot me without even attempting to consult first." Syrin believed it was a fair deal, for if anything, she had the right to keep the twenty-five thousand credits. However, she would accept nothing less of the deal; she wouldn't give all the money, she wouldn't pick up the unconscious bodies, and she wouldn't visit the loved ones of the Devaronian and the Gran.

Oren was growing tired of the excuses, it seemed everything she said was in defense of what happened. The men had pulled blasters, but as far as he was concerned she had created the situation, she tried to trick them and this was how the mess started. It was reckless and irresponsible, he would have trained her, but she seemed disinterested in accepting some wrong doing. His testing was simple, and as far as he was concerned she had failed every test this day.

He looked to Vara, tilting his head, as a small smile formed on his face, "Not your first run in?" He'd chuckle as he tried to think who it could have been. It seemed positive, which was reassuring to the man. "Well if you want to help, can you help me bury this body." He'd grunt as he shifted the own body he was carrying, his free hand pointing out towards the other body. "A storm is coming and I don't want to get caught into it."

He'd turn back towards the white haired girl, his brown eyes narrowing, "Good luck kid, remember what I said," he'd say with a sigh before carrying the dead body out from the room. He couldn't make someone become a Jedi, it was something they had to want--fully.

Vara was a bit surprised by what she heard the silver haired girl say. Used them as shields. She was already out the door when the the blasterfire started initially, not seeing the bulk of the deadly altercation. Her whole interaction with the two had turned into a bad bluff, and her sabacc face wasn't exactly up to snuff.

She sighed as she walked over to the other body, not understanding the full context of the two standing in the cantina, or what they truly were. She glared momentarily to the girl before kneeling down and inspecting the body of the freshly deceased Gran. She could tell immediately that whatever blaster hit him was overcharged. A lethal blow to most, and no exception here.

Vara glanced over the body once more, trying her best to not let her scoundrel nature overtake the situation. She knelt slid the blaster out of the deceased Gran's holster and set it on the table, before pulling a wallet out of his pocket. Vara opted to not even check the credit count and instead inspected the ID. "Brunsif Coesk," Vara murmured. No other pertinent information was listed. "A smuggler if I had to guess," she spoke out loud, uncertain if the girl was listening.

Still knelt on the ground, looking over the body, taking a moment to collect herself before trying to lift it. Vara glanced up to the girl, who she saw was the only other living, conscious person in the room. "Thieves honor. Did you actually use a shifter?" She knew it was a dumb idea to ask this, but the tingling in the back of her mind had to know.

Waving to the Jedi goodbye, Syrin could tell he hadn't accepted her reasonings. Though she bet that the man simply could not come up with a response against her. Syrin let out a yawn and rested her eyes for a moment, but continued to listen as to what the stranger was doing. She couldn't help it, the cantina was so quiet that there was nothing else to hear. Syrin was aware of the man being a smuggler, she knew the Devaronian was a smuggler as well. She had seen their faces on a bounty board weeks prior; they apparently stole a shipment of Sansanna spice. There was no use of collecting the bounty anymore though, the poster wanted them alive. It didn't really matter to her since she didn't come to the cantina to collect the bounty; it was just a coincidence to run into them.

A loud sigh exited Syrin's mouth as she opened her eyes and turned to the stranger. She wasn't entirely aware of the term shifter, but she had a good idea of what the girl was referring to. "I did," her tone was neutral "but the Zubaz was hiding cards under the table." Syrin held up four cards with her left hand, all of them were positive three's. She tossed the cards on the ground towards the stranger and continued on "Didn't cheat till I noticed his grimy hands moving underneath the table. He wanted that pure Sabacc desperately; no one bets twenty-five thousand credits out of nowhere."

Getting up from the barstool, Syrin walked over to the girl. "I was going to tell that old man, but people like him are easily blinded by belief. I don't blame him; the world kinda sucks." Syrin levitated the body up from the ground using the force. She looked down at the stranger and flashed a smile, but it seemed more genuine than previous moments. "You're quite the beauty, so I'll excuse you from picking up this filthy corpse." Syrin turned around and walked towards the entrance door with the body levitating and following her. She stopped right before leaving the cantina, "The name's Syrin. Syrin Voss." She then headed outside with the body.

A gust of sand whipped across the open plans of the settlement, striking Oren in the face. A sandstorm seemed to be on the horizon, and he was starting to question why the force would cause this to happen. The Force willed it to be, he'd tell himself with a reluctant groan escaping his lips as he began to carry the body towards the edge of town. What could this test possibly be, should I have stepped in and stopped that attack from happening?

His mind raced with possible solutions and ideas, but they seemed to contradict each other. As far as he was concerned all of them played a part in this tragic demise. Am I peacekeeper or should I allow others to make the opportunity for themselves, like Rey gave the chance to Ben? Sadly, the Knight didn't have the answers, instead he knew that a storm was coming and he had nearly forty minutes to start digging before it would be upon them.

Placing the body down, he'd slowly begin to dust down the body with a sigh. "To become one with the force, this is our fate." He'd slowly begin to raise his hands, the body slowly sinking down the sand, as if the dunes had begun to swallow and eat the corpse alive. He'd lower his hands as the body slowly vanished and there was nothing but sand. "Fear not, for the force guides us all." He'd say quietly before stepping away and back towards the town.

Vara jumped back, startled by the brief moment that she believed the corpse was reincarnating, before realizing that this was Syrin's doing. She slowly picked herself up from her kneel and watched as the body effortlessly floated at the command of the silver haired girl. Her mouth opened again, and then fell shut as she watched the girl walk out the door.

She hustled over to the bar where she set down her blaster and the bottle of rye whiskey she yanked from the bar's rail. She hastily stuffed the bottle into her messenger bag and walked out the door with her blaster idly gripped.

Syrin was not far out of the door when Vara followed behind her, she kept the blaster lazily pointed in her general direction. She spoke lowly enough to fall within earshot of anyone other than the girl, "Heads up. Blaster on your back," she said nervously, hoping for the girl to let Vara let out the next sentence, "Got to keep up looks. I'll holster once we're on the outskirt."

Vara glanced over, noticing some of the posse was still outside. She needed to make it look like law was being handled. Vara noticed a shovel that rested on the side of the cantina and picked it up. Surely if they were burying the body, they'd need a way to move dirt.

A moment of silence passed before Vara asked what she was thinking. "How is he floating?" she gestured towards the lifeless body. "I know there's some fancy tech in the core worlds, but I've never seen anything like that." Vara was oblivious to the Force. Her previous encounter with another force user left her with the knowledge that it was done through some sort of technology that hadn't made it's way to the Outer Rim yet.
