It didn't take Cal long to reach the Jedi temple on Lothel. After hearing of his assignment he started for the planet almost immediately; albeit reluctantly. He was tasked with taking on two Initiates and guiding them through their own personal journeys to Knighthood. Some would say that they're to young to begin, Calvyn Eltros was one of those people. He knew what fighting the Sith looked like and it was no place for kids. The Army of Light was no place for them. That was both the reason why he didn't want to take them on, and why he did. For if they were going to learn anything it was Cal's responsibility to teach them.

His ship set down near the Jedi temple and he walked out into the early morning sun. His black robes waved and flicked in the steady wind. He was greeted by a service droid who he only assumed knew why he was there. "Ben Kendor and Arghan Rho," Cal said simply "Lead me to them." The droid acknowledged him in the all to familiar metallic voice of droids, then he was guided within the temple. It seemed the two initiates were in class and Calvyn would pick them up there. He walked onward as children from all age groups eyed him curiously. he'd admit his black robes made him stand out except they also intimidated most from speaking with him. It was a trade off Calvyn would make again and again.

As he approached the classroom he waved off the droid who left hastily. He then looked in on the lesson, a plump, female teacher was inside. Long blonde hair glittered down her shoulders. She was in the middle of a lecture about the history of the Jedi when she saw Calvyn standing in the doorway. "May I help you?" she asked him politely. Almost instantly twenty heads reeled back to eye the imposter of their lesson. Whether relieved or aggravated Cal couldn't tell, it depended on the student. Personally Cal hated history when he was taught in the Jedi temples. He knew two of these students were the people tasked to apprentice to Calvyn. However he did not know who the two were, or even what they looked like. Calvyn only knew their names and he spoke them aloud to the teacher.

"Yes, I'm looking for two Initiates by the name of Ben Kendor and Arghan Rho. They're to assist me with some work I have to do in the outer rim." He then looked all around the class of students, expecting the two he was after to make themselves known. Then the three of them would begin their journey.

Arghan Rho was busily taking notes, that's not to say, however that he was enjoying the lesson. History is actually his least favorite subject, as, from his perspective, nothing really seemed to change from then to now. An all too-familiar series of events leading from the past to the present, taking the galaxy in a massive loop, never exactly going anywhere new. However, today was different. He'd felt it as soon as he woke up this morning, a stirring of something new. As his instructor Ms. Talmyn, continued on about the history of the Jedi from the early days of the Old Republic to now, he knew an interruption was coming.

He turned his head towards the doorway in time to see a tall, surly man with short black hair approaching, catching the eye of his instructor. The man mentioned that he was here for two students, including himself! Arghan wished his people's premonition abilities could help him figure out what this 'work' in the outer rim would entail, but he figured he'd find out soon enough. Gathering what little belongings he had brought with him to class, he stood up, nodding his head towards the man in black robes in acknowledgement. "Greetings, sir. I am Arghan Rho."

Ben wasn’t really paying attention. He sat there motionless a pen against the paper, staring blankly forward. In meditation, they always spoke of finding a spot where your mind is blank. And everything around you seems to fade away. Sometimes after class he would think to himself, they should just start discussing history in meditation, I’d be able to actually do that then. He jumped a little when his neighbor tapped him on the shoulder.

“Hey, a Jedi just called your name.” The young man told him. He turned to see Cal at the door. “Umm, present?” He said raising his hand. “What does he want?” Ben whispered to the man sitting next to him.
“He says he needs your help with some mission in the outer rim.” The man told Ben. Looking back at cal he stood up and pointed at him self. “You need me sir?”

Calvyn watched the students with narrow eyes, scanning them all in turn. It didn't take long for the students he was after to make themselves known. The first was an Iktotchi, young, perhaps late teens but Calvyn couldn't tell for certain. He remembered seeing this kid keeping himself busy with notes. Which would normally be a good impression for most people. However Cal cared little for notes about Jedi history, that wouldn't help you out in the field. The second kid had a very stark contrast to the first. Instead of listening to the teacher teach, this one seemed to be fading away into his own thoughts. Which made Cal hold back a sigh, what exactly did command think he could do for these two? The Iktotchi approached him first and spoke to him directly.

"I know your name," Calvyn replied to Arghan. He never has been one for introductions. The second kid came later after a fellow student ushered him to look at the door where Calvyn stood. Again, Cal was not impressed as the kid seemed completely oblivious as to what was going on.

"You need me Sir?" He said to Cal, who only replied with a firm nod of his head.

"Thank you for your time teacher." Calvyn said to the short blonde woman with a tone of finality. "Now you two, follow me, we have much to discuss within a short walk to my ship." Then Cal turned around and began walking to the exit of the Jedi temple. Not once did he look back to the students during the brief walk. However he did speak clearly and was aware they followed him.

"My name is Calvyn Eltros, Jedi Knight within the Army of Light. Jedi command has seen fit for me to train, mentor and guide two Initiates in the coming days. I'm supposed to oversee the both of you because, for some reason above my understanding, command has chose you two to accompany me for a task." At this point Calvyn had walked outside into the morning air of Lothel. Once out of the doors he continued on to his ship, which had the ramp down leading inside. However he did not walk on board, instead he turned on his heel and for the first time looked at the Initiates. "Now before we go further I want to make two things perfectly clear. One, during this time you are both under my authority. Meaning my word is final, no matter what. Second, this is a voluntary assignment, meaning if you so choose you can turn around and go right back to history class. The choice is yours." He would let that sink in for only a moment.

"What do you say?"

Ben listened intently on the briefing Cal was giving. Walking quickly to keep up. As Cal finished and asked “what do you say” Ben thought about it. “I’m with you sir.” He said. Bowing respectfully. “I look forward to any wisdom you may offer me.” He followed cal as the continued to walk towards the ship. “Shall we go get our things from our room?” Ben asked.

Arghan, too, quickly followed after Cal, taking only a brief look back at the classroom before leaving it behind. He'd grown accustomed to sitting in lecture halls and taking notes of events of little import, but perhaps it was time for a change. As the Jedi before him 'asked' if he'd follow him or choose to stay, Arghan immediately nodded an affirmation that he was with him, readjusting his small bag on his right shoulder.

Sure, the human Jedi didn't seem to be all that friendly, nor very happy to be bringing him and his classmate along on his assignment, but Arghan got the feeling that despite his personal feelings, the man would do his best to mentor them. After all, Arghan sensed he wasn't one to accept failure. Personally, Arghan wouldn't accept any of his own failure either. "Where in the Outer Rim are we going, sir?"

As they got to the ship, Ben noticed that a majority of their personal things had already been retrieved by a security droid. Calvyn assigned each one of the two to a room, and there he sat. Setting up. He had a small flag from the colony he was born on hanging on the wall, as well as an old blaster from his smuggling days sitting on the table. He kept his lightsaber by his side. He packed his clothes neatly into their drawers, then sat in his room looking around. It was small, much smaller than his previous room on Lothel in the temple. But it was still bigger than his room back on the smuggling ship.
He had brought with him a practice lightsaber. Something safer than his real weapon that he could use to practice his forms. He spent a good amount of time focusing on form 3, making large slow circles with the blade, keeping a defensive barrier in front of him. While he swung at nothing he went through the drills and motions he had been taught when he first arrived at the temple, and continued to flow through the motions like water. He was unsure of what their mission would be, and he tried to keep the worry of being deployed to the front lines to fight sith out of his mind. Continuing with his forms. Getting ever so faster as he did, till he felt he had practiced enough for the day, switching the practice blade off, and resting it near his bed, he sat on the floor in an effort to meditate and to focus himself on the present and not worry about the future.
