(Open to all Sith)
Theme
The moonlight glittered through the stained glass windows behind the raised Dias of Castle Wessex, covering Artorigas in an array of vibrant reds, blues, purples and yellows. The Sith Lord looked up through the glass an elaborate image of The Mortis Gods, something he had 'Recovered' from a fallen building out on Namadii. Behind it the moon was at its Perigee, its closest point to Serenno during its orbit making the bright white object appear oversized and ominous to all who looked up that night. Fitting considering the party that was slowly begging behind the Sith Noble. All Hal'low's Eve, an event originally from the Core Worlds but had slowly filtered its way down the Trade routes to the Outer Rim and beyond, the holiday only fully settling into the conscious of the Serennian nobility a little over a decade ago.

Artorigas stood alone upon the Dais as the music began to play, his back to the rest of the room, he had one hand on the back of the Castle Wessex throne, the other was nursing a sweet red wine from Adumar. He wore a
black and gold outfit with a matching gold mask, as was the general idea with these parties a theme was needed and to help those within The Order who wished to hide themselves from prying eyes Artorigas had chosen to host this evening a Masquerade party. He smiled to himself as the memories of his younger sister getting overly excited for the party, buying a dozen different masks before finally deciding on her outfit for the evening.

Her like some of the other Sith who now held their loyalty to Artorigas had begun the early festivities, music played, drinks were being served, dancing began and conversation and laughter could be heard throughout the room behind him. Above them the skies had been cleared not a single starship or speeder to disturb the view out across the valley around them, the Warehouse district in the distance had been shut down and only the lights of the Castle could be seen for miles around. A crisp chill air blew through an open door as one of the servants came in from the outside announcing another prominent guest to the Sith Lord. Artorigas nodded his thanks and took another sip of his drink.

He could only wonder if the party would be as interesting as the last, would we see aggressive grinding against the wall, a Sith thrown through a doorway and out into the cold evening wilderness, more spice than a back alley cantina. When the Sith were invited you could never be sure what was to happen, Artorigas could only prepare for the worse, more staff were around to serve food and drinks, more cleaners were around to wipe down the surfaces and a structural engineer had been their earlier in the week to make sure the walls were sturdy. The times for plans and worry had long passed it was now time for the party to begin.

Tonight would be an interesting night...

Senin was elated by the opportunity to participate in Lord Caelestis' Hallowe'en party. With him being Xeno's apprentice, the Acolyte never thought that he would be invited to the event. After all, his master seemed to have the ability to make the other Sith hate him. The young man just hoped that his Master's reputation would not tarnish his own.

When he received the invitation, Senin was unsure how he should dress for it. He had heard of Hallowe'en before, but had never been to a party. This celebration hardly took place on his homeworld, G’wenee, being more common in the Core Worlds. So he decided to use black and dark blue outfit, which was full of sequins. His mask was black and white, with some golden details.

It had been some time since he had arrived at Castle Wessex, but instead of entering the Acolyte had stopped to admire the place. It was an impressive construction, far larger than any property the Ravelo owned. It was like the castles from the stories that his biological mother used to tell him. After some minutes staring at it, Senin realized that he probably looked like an idiot, so he started to walk towards the door.

After his arrival was announced by a servant, Senin would enter the castle. Before doing anything else, he walked up to the host and introduced himself to him. “Lord Caelestis, I’m Acolyte Senin Ravelo. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” the young man bowed in respect. He would make an effort to not use words of the Sil-Cale language, he didn't know how the other man would react to it. However, his accent was always present.

Emryc didn’t attend these things every time because he had a limited tolerance of people. However, it had been many months since the last time, and he had particularly enjoyed Wessex’s castle. The halls had memories that were now precious to him, memories that didn’t matter much at the time.

For the first time ever, others among the Sith would see more of his face. He was adorned in an all black attire embroidered with different accents. His mask was, perhaps, a surprise to others as it covered half his face. His stubbled jawline and defined cheekbone were revealed for the first time, along with the piercing silver eyes. Under his attire, he wore the borrowed amulet of disguise from Renfry. The effects were subtle, forming his ears to look human and remove any hints of him being confused for the ISC President.

He strode into the hall and spotted Wessex right away, grabbing a flute of champagne as he walked. Emryc gave the man a curt nod before his gaze flicked over to the acolyte that approached Art. He recognized that acolyte from a museum visit some time back. Emryc took a sip from his glass, keeping to himself for now and taking in sight of the decor and drink options. He knew the host would get crowded soon enough and he reminded himself to go greet the man later.

Renfry had received an invitation to the party, which seemed like it put her a step ahead of the Eternal, who typically received no invitations to parties. Either that or it simply had decided not to show up. With how much of her time was spoken for these days she was starting to understand why, but she'd decided to come anyway. The last party had been exciting and in the same location. With fortune, this one would be more of the same.

She arrived in a masquerade outfit the same as the others, though it did little to conceal who exactly she was. The entire outfit was black, matching the tattoos that covered her body and standing in stark contrast to her pale Dathomirian skin. Her pin was in her hair between the roses, as was tradition.

Artorigas was at the head of the room as she expected in his home and he was speaking to another Sith she didn't recognize. She gave a small wave in his direction and a small smile as well as her eyes scanned over the room. Servants milled about and then her eyes settled on Emryc. Or Lord Raze as he was to be called in the present company.

He was always the center of attention at these events, and in actuality, the pair had hardly ever interacted at one of these parties. Her early arrival afforded her the opportunity to slide in and greet him before the others arrived and started sucking up his attention.

Good evening, she said, sliding up next to him with a smile. She plucked a glass of wine off the tray of a passing servant and resisted the urge to do something a little "too friendly" with Emryc like slap his rear as she approached.

Her eyes glided over his outfit and mask, seeing why he wanted the amulet to cover up his ears. Understandable, but a shame. They were quite cute under normal circumstances. That mask is quite nice indeed, she said with a little smirk. Hmmmmm, she hummed, knowing full well he would know what that meant.

Jaikus received the invitation to the party, and he didn’t have to think for very long before he accepted the offer. The Axxilan had a soft spot for this holiday in particular and was forward to getting into the spirit of the season. Not to mention, Jaikus had especially enjoyed the last gathering in Artorigas’ home. That first party on Serenno held special meaning to him now. Being back at the castle was an opportunity he couldn’t pass up.

The air was alight with music as the Axxilan stepped into the spacious ballroom, clearly having gone all out to dress for the occasion. His dark hair was straightened and styled in its usual manner, while the faint scent of cologne clung to the air around him. In a subtle nod to his attire at the last party, the Axxilan wore a pair of tight-fitting dress pants and a salmon-colored corset vest, hugging his torso and tapering down to his narrow waist. He accessorized his ensemble with a golden chain bracelet on his wrist, and keeping with the theme of the party, wore a masquerade mask over his features. The intricate, winged mask rested comfortably on the bridge of his nose, though the design did little to hide his identity.

Swiping a glass of wine from a tray as it passed, Jaikus immediately began to make his way through the room - citrine eyes briefly flicking between the few others who had arrived already. Naturally, he spotted Artorigas at the head of the room, alongside another man he didn't quite recognize, greeting the two of them with a subtle nod of his head. His eyes continued to wander between the crowds of servants before next picking out Andruil amongst the fray, noting the dark tattoo's that contrasted her pale skin.

Finally, citrine eyes settled Emryc - a grin very subtly tugging at the corners of his lips. He was unquestionably pleased to see the man in attendance, though Jaikus couldn't help deny being a tad bit surprised by the half-Sephi's choice of mask - taking a moment to take in the sight of the sharp jawline and cheekbones. He immediately noticed the subtle changes to the half-Sephi's ears, disappointed only because it killed any possibility of Gundark-related jokes for the night.

The Axxilan stared in Emryc's direction for a moment, long enough to make eye-contact with those yellow-tinted silvers. Instead of moving in that direction, however, Jaikus promptly spun on his heel. Purposefully keeping his back turned to the Empress and Sith Lord, Jaikus chose to saunter his way over the the head of the room - deciding to first greet their gracious host.

"Lord Caelestis," He spoke, a polite smile brushing against his features. "It is a pleasure to see you again, and to be back in your lovely home. You really do know how to throw a party." The Axxilan then turned to face Senin, citrine eyes flicking over to regard the man who he'd never met.

"I don't believe I've had the pleasure. I am Jaikus."

The sounds of the early festivities were dampened by the closed door to the room, within which she stood facing the floor-length mirror before her. Cornelia had already left to join the party, so Malou was alone in the chambers. She studied herself in the mirror, her golden mask pulled up so that she could see with her own two eyes. The acolyte was completely ready--Cornelia had helped her into her dress, and she, vice versa--but Malou could not help but to take a few more minutes just look at herself. The dress she had chosen was black, whimsical and made of tulle, which she thought was a nice contrast to the jewelry she wore on her chest. The golden piece imitated a ribcage and was decorated with smaller, golden flowers and charms of varying designs. The contradiction between the flowing, playful black dress and the hard, golden color of the piece was pulled together by the mask. Though it was certainly out of the box for the teenage girl, she felt nothing but wonderful in it.

After she pulled the mask back down over her features, Malou turned sharply, left the room, and began to head down to join the party. It had been over a year since the last party hosted here in Castle Wessex. A lot had changed since then, not only for her, but in general.

When she arrived, the acolyte first surveyed the room. Her master, along with who she recognized as Senin and who she believed was Jaikus, were near the throne. There was no one else she could immediately discern the identity of, though she was not slow to suspect the towering man in the room to be Raze. He was approached by a shorter woman not long after Malou spotted him.

'Of course he's here,' was Malou's first thought as her attention shifted back towards the room as a whole. After making a mental not to avoid being targeted by any servants experiencing a burrito crisis, she made her way over to a banquet table lined with various finger foods. She plucked a cracker from a plate and stuck it in her mouth, crunching down on it before she returned to deciding who to talk with.

'I might as well go stand by him.' If anything, someone would talk to her if she stuck nearby. Malou made her way towards her master, joining him, Senin, and Jaikus by the throne. She said nothing yet, but gave Senin a slight smile when or if his eyes flicked her way.

Ashla had spent a long and tiring day looking at dresses, trying to find one that she liked. By the end of the day she had realized that while she liked how they looked, and was rather taken with a few of them, the reason she had been rejecting all of them was the simple fact that she didn't feel safe in them. She had spent twelve years fighting for her life, and deep down she was terrified of putting on something that restricted her movement as much as most of the dresses would. So she had switched course, looking for something else to wear, and surprisingly it had only taken her an hour to find something once she had realized why she was rejecting dresses.

On the day of the event, gathering, party, she wasn't really sure if there was any difference, she walked in feeling both comfortable in what she was wearing, and comfortable in her ability to deal with anything that might happen. Her outfit, which was apparently all the rage in the Core among girls her age, didn't feel as flamboyant as some of the outfits she saw on many of the attendees she walked past after stepping out of the speeder that had brought her to the Castle. But she didn't out of place, and she couldn't help but smile at the slow crawl at which they had to walk to avoid tripping on their own tails, while she walked past in a brisk and comfortable pace.

Once inside, she walked around at a more casual pace as she tried to find faces she might recognize. It was hard with the masks many were wearing, so she she let her eyes wander, observing those present, and what they were wearing. Luckily the heels she was wearing, a first for her, gave her a height advantage she had never known, making it much easier to reconnoiter. She could used to this being tall business.

Ultimately she spotted a familiar face, and started wandering towards the Miralukan acolyte. Passing by a serving holding a tray full of drinks, she casually picked two up and sauntered towards Malou as she started sipping from one glass.

"Drink?" She offered the second drink to Malou, using that as an excuse to lean in and gesture towards some of the rather tight pants she saw on some of the men around them. "Wouldn't those be really uncomfortable? Everything wrapped up like that?" Her eyes twinkled as a thought occurred to her, and she realized with delight that she was about to make a joke. "Unless there isn't really much to get wrapped up."

Very pleased with herself, she looked at Malou with a wide grin on her face. She had just made a joke, a naughty one! She had never done that before!

Another party on Serenno hosted by the lord of Castle Wessex. Morgan certainly hadn't been in the mood to let loose or socialize extensively with anyone he knew for months on end. To his own surprise he felt a desire to go on receiving Artorigas' invitation despite how things went with parts of the last time. Who knew what would happen on this new occasion, but he still felt like going.

Stolas entered through the grand doors dressed in a modernized take on red and black
traditional attire, expertly tailored to show his figure. Subtly embroidered dress boots carried him across the threshold, a fanciful owl's head cane preceding every other step for accessory. His mask contrasted nicely with the sharp golden eyes looking out from behind it across the room and ever-present electrum ear studs.

Dark brows raised slightly, taking in the change in decoration, keen ears listening to music expertly played over the sounds of laughter and busied servants with drink trays in hands. There was the host as last time on the dais overlooking things being spoken by someone wearing latex pants that Morgan didn't recognize. Then there was Renfry, excellently dressed for the occasion- standing right next to a tall, broad figure that could only be Emryc.

Morgan plucked up and sipped a glass of red wine, requested a bottle of fortified Serenno variety from the servant, and carried on into the grand hall. Brows rose further as he realized the half-Sephi's mask only partly covered his face, revealing much of his striking and handsome features. What the Firrerreo's gaze got stuck on however were the ears that looked completely human. It was such an odd shift in detail that Morgan was distracted, making a bemused face at it before moving right along.

Given his position on the Council, he stopped for a few seconds by Andruil and Raze on the way to Caelestis.
"Good evening," he greeted, looking between the two of them. "Your mask and necklace are excellent," he informed Renfry before looking over Emryc's neck, settling on yellow flecked silvers. Morgan's head tilted ever so slightly to the left. "Much better than a helmet. It suits you." Another nod before he walked off, good-naturedly humming a few notes from the waltz painted across the half-Sephi's mask.

He spotted Jaikus easily enough by the corset vest he was wearing, off by a gathering of others around the host. Malou had shown up in something impressively elaborate, to his surprise. Morgan stepped up to the crowd.
"Good evening," he repeated, brows raising a third time at the Axxilan's attire from up close. "You're looking festive, Malou," he commented, especially appreciating that rib piece. "Caelestis. Thank you for hosting these, they're always fun one way or another." A small grin found dhis face. He simply nodded to the man in latex pants- what could be seen of his face seemed vaguely familiar now he was closer- then on to Jaikus.

"Jaikus." Morgan paused a moment, fingers idly tapping against his glass. "That tailor does good work." The Firrerreo was glad he hadn't worn the vest ordered for himself, for more reasons than one. He smirked in spite of whatever mixed feelings he might have, unsure if this was going to be some level of awkward. Morgan would rather it wasn't. "Like paint to canvas."

In the middle of wondering if he should bring up an owed dance or not golden eyes were drawn like moths to flame to- Ashla. Morgan stared at her. "Your pants have holes in them."

And so it had begun, the growing concoction of laughter and conversation began to rise over the music as more and more people began to funnel in through the great double doors of the hall. Taking a deep breath to help let all preconceived notions of his guests pass from his mind he turned to face the gathering masses. A steward stood near the Dais making sure that Artorigas was aware of all that entered the castle that night, calling each out in turn including a brief description of the mask allowing him to easily spot them out in a crowd.

The first to approach and bow was the Acolyte Ravelo, Artorigas tipped his head in thanks. "Well met Mr Ravelo." The man had a strong accent, though the Sith Lord could not put a finger on the map of where it came from, perhaps a question for further down the line. "I believe you are Xeno's Apprentice, am I correct? I advise you not to follow in his footsteps within my Castle, less you end up itchy and cold." He replied with a smirk, wondering if Xeno had told Senin about his experience last time at Castle Wessex. There was no ill intent towards the young Acolyte or his Master this evening, all preconceptions had to be removed for him to be the most gracious of hosts that night.

Artorigas turned his head to see the imposing Darth Raze enter the room, returning the man's curt nod with a more dignified one. Empress Andruil followed, the women giving Artorigas a small wave and smile, something that brought a smile to his own lips. Raising his glass towards the Imperial Ruler he gave her a slight bow before turning to the approaching Jaikus.

The man had made a name for himself at the last gathering the Sith Noble had held, introducing himself to the upper echelons of Sith society with his bravado and balls to the walls attitude. "Thank you Jaikus, you will be happy to know that we have no apple bobbing tonight, so you wont have to struggle to hold your breath in your outfit." He replied in a slightly sarcastic tone as he pointed his now empty glass towards the Champion's well toned but constructed torso.

Without needing to see her, Artorigas felt the presence of his Apprentice approach the three of them. He hoped that Malou would be more open at this gathering than the last, the young women had grown a lot in the past year, confidence seemed to be flowing from her pours. And it seemed like he needn't be worried as she was soon approached by what seemed to be an acquaintance, dressed in what seemed to be a Noble's attempt to dress up like a hobo.

Holding his hand out to one side, the empty glass was quickly removed and replaced by a new full glass of the same sweet red wine. Before the server could leave Artorigas leaned closer and whispered a few short words, before pointing in the direction of the Togruta. The young man nodded before retreating backwards and away from the group passing the message along to those who could action their masters request.

Turning his head back to the group his eyes were met by the bright golden globes of Darth Stolas. A man that had been almost as integral to his rise as the Empress herself. Bowing his head towards the senior Sith, "Thank you Lord Stolas, it is an honour as always to have you as a guest. I am sure we can all have some fun tonight." He paused for a moment as the remaining introductions were said amongst them before addressing Stolas again. "How has the East been treating you? I am afraid to say I do not get much chance to return out these ways anymore, so no little of its comings and goings."

*************************************

Leforic one of Artorigas' lead Stewards, stepped out from the side doors behind the Dais, his hands grasped tightly behind his back. He had lost the coin toss to Godric as to who would carry out their master's request so now approached the pair of Sith with a flurry of butterflies in his stomach. He had only been in the Sith Lord's service a few weeks coming highly recommended from another Noble House and this was his first time serving both his Master and the larger Sith Order. His hand was steadied by the presences of Lady D'Amaris, who he had met before and only had pleasant dealings with.

Approaching Malou and the unknown women dressed with her, he coughed slightly and bowed once he caught their eye. "Apologies Mi'Ladies, but I have a request from Lord Wessex." With that he straightened and from behind his back he produced a
red mask, offering it towards the Togruta. "Lord Wessex requires all to attend to wear a mask this All Hal'lows Eve and He asks you to wear this one as a gift for this evening."

Emryc could feel Renfry’s presence even before he saw her, turning his head to take in sight of her attire. Her hair was done up intricately, but he didn’t miss the lethal pin that still adorned it. She carried herself with dignified elegance and it was a testament to how far she had come. Though that pin was always a reminder of that wild streak to her. The sight brought a faint grin to his face as he sipped his champagne.

As she greeted him, the grin grew wider as Renfry used his trademark nonverbal means of expressing when he was pleased with something. Emryc neatly folded an arm behind his back and stepped back, taking her hand to lean down to kiss her knuckles. Silver gaze flicked up at her as he slanted his head a little, “My lady,” He greeted before finally releasing the hand and rising up to his full height again.

“You would be the envy of Andraste herself,” He remarked on her appearance with a smile.

Emryc’s gaze flicked up as others began to enter the hall, fixing on Jaikus for a moment. The half Sephi’s eyes lingered on Jaikus’, though there was no real smile or expression on his face. This was because Jaikus was wearing clothing that caught his attention entirely, just as it had the very first time in this very castle. Without a helmet, his comically frozen state was now on display. His gaze followed the other man as he purposely made sure his back was facing Emryc, reminding the half Sephi just how much Jaikus liked to torment him. The Axxilan had a penchant for wearing entirely impractical clothing, but damn if it didn’t look good. Emryc lifted his glass to drink and promptly missed his mouth, colliding the rim with his jaw before he finally broke out of his daze. It wasn't unlike when he dropped his cigarra the first time seeing Jaikus in a vest.

He wasn’t entirely concerned with being impolite as even Renfry could appreciate a man with an exquisite rear. The half Sephi turned back to the Empress moments before they were joined by… Emryc had to pause and do a double take, far more used to seeing the Firrerreo in elegant robes than attire like this. Though externally he stared blankly, Morgan knew him well enough to know the half Sephi was eying him with much curiosity.

“Good evening, Councilor Stolas,” Emryc said politely, leaving it at that. It was clear the discomfort he felt with Morgan in his presence was entirely gone. He actually felt perfectly fine being around the other man and he silently contemplated this while taking a sip. Emryc’s gaze flicked back to Renfry when they were left alone again.

“Do you actually like these things now?” He asked, his face breaking into a sly grin, “Or perhaps you only come for the host?” She was exceptionally nosy, so it was his turn.

Renfry couldn't stop the wide smile on her lips as he leaned down to kiss her hand, but as he complimented her, she quite nearly swooned. On her pale cheeks even the faintest hints of red were quite obvious, and there was no hiding it right now.

Her eyes flashed up, locking momentarily with his and getting lost. You certainly know how to give a lady a compliment, she said quietly, once more practically glowing.

As the moment broke, she took a sip of her wine, and Emryc's eyes flitted over to Jaikus and Renfry's followed. Despite their denial, Renfry was still not convinced of the platonic nature of their relationship, and in that vest and those pants, Renfry could see why. She didn't mind letting her own gaze linger for a moment, contemplating commenting, but ultimately holding her tongue. They'd both seen.

Morgan approached shortly thereafter, and Renfry wasn't sure what was going to happen, but everything seemed... calm. No storms of conflict or problems of any sort, which was good and while maybe it shouldn't have been unexpected, there was always uncertainty.

Why, thank you, Stolas, she said with a smile as he complimented her outfit. You're looking nice this evening as well, she said. He continued on to make his rounds to the rest of those who were trickling in, most of whom she recognized at least in passing.

Well, someone told me I shouldn't be a wallflower, she said as Emryc asked if she was starting to enjoy these things. She still had many, many wallflower tendencies, but each time she came she became slightly more comfortable.

His next comment, however, caught her off guard and her mouth dropped open slightly. Wha... I see I'm rubbing off on you! she said, starting flustered and then almost turning into laughter toward the end. Are you over here trying to play matchmaker for me? she asked, knowing full-well how he had repeatedly brought up her having an heir, which she still currently lacked.

Lord Caelestis comment about his Master made Senin a bit unsure of how to answer. "Yes, I'm. However, you don’t need to worry. I don't plan to imitate Xeno that way, actually I'm trying to teach him how to behave in public." the Sith Lord would probably think that it was a joke, but the Acolyte was really trying to do that. He was even trying to convince the Zabrak to go to the mall with him, to buy some decent clothes. "It's been a difficult and long journey, with my attempts not always being successful." his master was so stubborn sometimes.

Senin stopped talking when he noticed that the Darth had turned to look at two other people. One was a woman, who he couldn't identify due to distance, and the other was a very huge man. The guy probably was huge like Darth Raze! Then something clicked in his mind. Could it be him? This was impossible, Raze was probably the kind of people that hated parties. Still thinking that the Sith Lord was some kind of Palpatine 2.0, the young man concluded that he would prefer to stay in some dark cave, doing rituals to keep his decaying body working.

Then he turned his attention to an approaching man. The man, who introduced himself as Jaikus, was wearing a fantastic corset vest. The Acolyte was in love with this outfit. “My name is Senin. Pleasure to meet you.” he answered the man. His eyes ran over the other's body, admiring the clothes. “I loved your clothes! Elas são tão maneiras!” then the young man grimaced when he noticed that he spoke using his homeworld language. “I mean, they are very cool. Where did you buy this corset vest?” the G’weneen started to imagine himself wearing one of those, perhaps with one of his leather or latex pants. He wondered how a certain Brentaalan would react if he saw him dressed this way.

His musings about fashion were interrupted by Malou’s arrival. “Malou, it’s so good to see you!’ he avoided hugging and calling the Miralukan by the nickname that he gave her, after all this was an event of the nobility. Who knows how Artorigas would react to that. “I love your dress and your mask. Also, I want to have a dance with you later, ok?” he was going to say more when Ashla arrived. Senin was impressed by her outfit, but wasn’t in a positive way. What she was wearing wasn’t bad, but this shouldn't be used in an event like this. The lack of mask was also disturbing. The girl needed some fashion help as fast as possible. “Hello, Ashla. How are you?

Ashla’s outfit also didn't seem to have pleased her master, the famous Darth Stolas. The Sith Lord was admired by the Sith supporters from G’wenee, after all it was his initiative in conquering Taris that brought Senin’s homeworld to the Sith Empire. They considered him clever and powerful. However, the Acolyte had heard rumors about this Darth, about how spoiled and arrogant he was. Or how the poor of G’wenee say, a leite com pera. He wasn't much of a believer in rumors, but after meeting Aadya, the boy thought that only someone like the girl could be her master. Interestingly, the G’weneen felt that he had seen this man somewhere before. He hated needing to deal with leites com pera, but the man was his superior so he just nodded his head in respect “Lord Stolas.

He turned back to Malou “We need to go to the mall again, it was so fun!” he said, remembering their last time together. Then he looked at the Togruta “We could invite Ashla too. I think that would be good for the three of us.” probably would be even better for the Togruta, she really needs some help with her clothes. Even more if she wanted to survive with a master who was possibly a leite com pera. Was at this moment that Senin decided that he would teach the other girl how to dress properly.

Citrine eyes lingered for a long time on Emryc, a smile tugging at the corners of Jaikus’ lips and threatening to spread wider. Due to the half-mask that the half-Sephi wore, the Axxilan had a full view of the frozen expression on the man’s face. For a moment, he considered walking up to the man right then and there, but promptly decided to socialize a tad bit beforehand. There would be plenty of time to interact with the half-Sephi over the course of the night.

Of course, He knew exactly what he was doing when he turned his back to Emryc and Andruil, even putting a bit more into each step as he made his way towards Artorigas and all the rest. This meant that he completely missed Emryc’s fumbled attempt at taking a drink.

Jaikus turned his attention then to their gracious host, regarding the Serennian warmly. In many ways, the man was indirectly responsible for the recent changes in his life. How different things might’ve been if Artorigas hadn’t hosted that party all those months ago. He didn’t miss the Sith Lord’s sarcastic tone and quip, smirking a bit wider in response, though otherwise saying nothing. “If tonight is anything like the last party, I am sure it will be one to remember."

Citrine eyes then flicked over to the G’weneen acolyte. “Delighted to make your acquaintance, Senin.” He arched a brow slightly when the Acolyte slipped into a foreign language, clearly not one that he recognized. He blinked in response, though otherwise maintained his polite expression until the man reiterated the question in Basic. “You are too kind. I had the vest custom tailored back on Axxila.” It was, funnily enough, the exact same answer that he had given Stolas months ago, when the Firrerreo asked about the last vest he wore. Clearly it was a style that was starting to catch on among his peers.

With that, Jaikus turned to address two new arrivals to the scene – one he recognized, and one he didn’t. “Malou,” He spoke smoothly, tipping his glass towards her. Though he did not have many interactions with the woman, they had run into one another more than once since their first meeting in this very same castle. “What a lovely mask.”

The Axxilan then turned to address the Togruta beside her. “You also look quite nice.” He nodded towards her. “I am Jaikus, by the way.” His gaze lingered on the cluster of acolytes for a moment or two more, flicking over his shoulder when he recognized a familiar Sith Lord making his way over.

“Lord Stolas,” Jaikus turned towards the Councilor and dipped his head respectfully towards the man, warm smile brushing against his lips. “Always a pleasure to see you.” Whatever changes might’ve occurred since their last encounter, Jaikus saw quite literally no reasons to make their interactions awkward. He was still just as comfortable around the Firrerreo as he’d been in the past.

He silently took a moment to admire the Firrerreo’s attire, his head tilting ever-so-slightly. It was quite the change from the way the Sith Lord dressed during the last party on Serenno, elegant tunics traded for a well-tailored suit. “It seems you’ve found a new tailor of your own, since the last party.” He quipped, pointing a glass to the red and black attire. “The cane is quite the touch.”

Out of his robes for once, and still riding the high of a promotion, Darth Veles approached the large doors of the estate. He was in a high-quality suit chosen by his new stylist, as well as a mask that was perhaps a bit overkill. Not a problem, however, because he was sure he would see much edgier faces today. Besides, one could still recognize him through the mask regardless. Those he'd met before would even feel him approaching, though they would be surprised by the sheer intensity of his presence compared to before. It had been months since he'd last seen everyone else, and his time on Dathomir had made him more powerful than ever.

Which had branded him a Sith Lord. He was not surprised by his new position--it only felt like he was getting something that was rightfully his. He'd discarded his old name and risen up to take his Darth name, and now he was known to the majority of the people he would meet as Darth Veles. The name held power, certainly.

No one knew about this besides the Council and the Empress, so it would be interesting if he ran into any familiar faces. If he didn't see them, they would feel the hurricane coming regardless. He entered the building and shuffled through the crowd until he was in an open area. And he felt the hundreds of people in here tonight, so Veles headed toward a group that he knew.

Approaching the Empress first, he bowed. "My Lady," he greeted, then turned to the next person.

A man. He vaguely recognized the man's presence but not his face, and he really had to think for a moment where he knew this stranger from. And then he remembered the stint on that dusty backwater planet where he'd had to swim through an underwater cavern to escape all sorts of smugglers and criminals, and he choked on his spit as he opened his mouth.

"My--ahem--Lord." He moved past quickly before the guy--who was clearly Darth Raze, how had he not known who Darth Raze was?--recognized him, though he doubted he would. His entire person had been reinvented in the past few months, both physically and spiritually. Besides, he had long white hair now and his face covered by bruises and tattoos.

He greeted the others there, though he could not see Darth Caelestis among the group, the man likely having stepped away for a bit. He had been the first person that Veles had gone on a mission with over a year ago, and it would be interesting to see his reaction.

Ah, here he went again, with the train of thought not stopping. Living in a swamp does not do good things for one's sanity.

Ashla, still enjoying the afterglow of her joke, was less than careful when Stolas himself showed up and commented on her clothes. She looked down at the what she wore, and the grin only widened. She raised a leg and bent it at the knee a few times, drawing even more attention to the naked skin there. "Apparently it's all the rage in the Core. I really love how comfortable they are!"

That was when Senin arrived, and Ashla started looking around wondering if Aadya would suddenly show up as well. The number of people she knew at the gathering had jumped from one to three in almost the blink of an eye, and she totally expected the other acolyte to be here. "Hello Senin." She replied in greeting to the acolyte's arrival, and was about to say more as a champion who introduced himself as Jaikus commented on her clothes. "Thank you." She replied a moment or two later, grin returning to her face, calling out after him as he moved to greet Stolas.

As the other mingled, and Senin started speaking with Malou, Ashla let her eyes wander, and noticed two figures that had such a presence that she could not look beyond them. She recognized the Empress at once, who wouldn't? But the man, the man took a moment to place. Darth Raze, in the flesh, in a rather nice outfit, very practical in case of a fight, that mask would barely restrict his vision...Mask? She could see his face?! She wracked her brain, thinking back to all the research she had done on the various Sith Lords, trying to recall if there was any record of him attending something like this without his iconic armor. As she drew a blank, the significance of this opportunity dawned on her.

She started to move, but just then someone walked up to her and presented her with a mask. She gave it a distracted glance and let it stay in his hand. "Could you be a dear and find one in black?" With that she walked away, and made her way to the two Sith Lords. She had always wondered how Darth Raze would look under his mask, and though she had heard a few acolytes gossip about the real reason he was only seen in armor was because he wasn't great to look at, she had always assumed that wasn't the case. For whatever reason she had assumed that he was a looker, but as she got close she wasn't prepared for how much of a looker he was.

Coming to a stop before the duo, almost shaking with anticipation, she bowed respectfully. "Your highness, my Lord." As she straightened she remembered another bit of information, he was tall. Her shoes had made her feel tall, seeing the world from a new light. But as she looked up at him that feeling washed right away. "I am acolyte Ashla Ti, I.." She hadn't really thought this through, what exactly had she planned to say beyond greet them? As she stood there with her mouth hanging open, she started to panic, and so bowed once more as she blurted out the first words she could remember from the etiquette class she had taken to prepare for this gathering.

"If I can be of service, I am yours."

Emryc scoffed a bit at Renfry’s question, taking a sip from his champagne glass to empty it as his gaze returned towards the front, “No, merely curious why Wessex was grinning like a little child on Life Day when you looked over at him,” Emryc glanced back at Renfry, a grin back on his face. He wasn’t normally the type to pry, but after almost a decade of knowing her, he was certainly going to probe here and there. The half Sephi snatched wine off a tray this time, deciding to try a variety of drinks.

He briefly looked over at the new arrival (@vamp) that came by to greet them. Emryc’s eyes narrowed the slightest bit as he attempted to place the man. The other man suddenly looked as if he had upset stomach and shuffled off to greet others before Emryc could work out how he knew him. The half Sephi stared after him, slightly puzzled as he drank from his glass.

“No, you’re never going to convince me to get on the Council,” He abruptly announced to Renfry. Sith Lords were popping up quite frequently with the Empire’s great success. This meant that the logical course was to move some up to Council. He knew Renfry would try to broach the topic with him again and he would flip it right back with the annoying heir conversation. It had become his greatest deflection technique.

At long last, a young acolyte wandered over out of the blue. Emryc eyed her with curiosity as he sipped from his glass. Her fumbled words brought him quite a bit of amusement, but naturally his face remained largely stoic.

“Acolyte Ashla Ti,” He greeted her politely, extending a hand to shake hers, “Lord Raze, at your service,” He said in return, a faint grin gracing his face. He looked above her head towards the others, “Not fun over there?” His demeanor was very much relaxed and casual. A lot of that had to do with not wearing his trademark armor. It was imbued with the memories and echoes of atrocities committed and it gave him a presence where Raze was far more dominant. Right now, he was a perfect blend of both.

She watched Emryc as he gave one of those grins to her, knowing full-well what he was doing and her cheeks became ever so slightly pink.

And how are things between you and Mr. @Altaris? she asked, turning the topic around on him. There was absolutely no question Jaikus been tactically strutting around when he entered, and she knew it wasn't for her benefit that he was doing it.

A few moments later, Cinere (@vamp) - or rather Darth Veles - came up to the pair. It had been some time since she had seen him, and he looked as if he had still been delving into the mystic arts. His skin was changed even more than when she'd visited him in the swamps, and she could tell that his aura in the Force had greater depth than before.

Congratulations on your new title, Lord Veles, she said as he greeted her. She had high hopes for him and was glad to see he was already putting himself on track for a rapid rise through the ranks. Whatever was going on between he and Emryc was a mystery to her and one she barely even noticed as he moved on to the next greeter.

How about Dark Lord then? she asked with a smirk as the pair was left alone again. No one is quite as terrifying as you. I mean, look at you, she said, looking him up and down. Even without his grasp of the Force he was an intimidating sight and could crush most people in a physical contest alone. She didn't have high hopes for the answer, but she would just keep planting those seeds.

As they were approached by a Togruta she didn't recognize, the girl at least had the wherewithal to introduce herself, though she seemed rather flustered. Renfry tried not to smile too much to save the young woman from any embarrassment.

A pleasure to meet you, Miss Ti, she said (@Wit), immediately deciding in her mind that if she ever had business with this Acolyte that required a codename, her codename would be something involving Misty. Perhaps Misty Mountains like the Misty Mountain Clan on Dathomir.

Raze inquired about the other group, and Renfry withheld from bombarding the woman with any further questions for the moment, awaiting her input on the other group and the party so far.

Oh, are you from Axxila? I’m from G’wenee, the planets are pretty close to each other.” he said to Jaikus. Senin was still interested in the other man's clothes. “If you don’t mind me asking, is this tailor exclusive or can I have their contact info to ask for a commission?” His mind was already working in several models of corset vests, maybe he could even ask for one made of leather.

He stopped thinking about corsets when he finally noticed the stained glass behind the Dias of Lord Caelestis. It showed the Mortis Gods, a recurring name in his research on Arandu mythology. Some historians believed that these deities were somehow connected to the Three Great Gods. He wondered if Artorigas would be interested in talking to him about it.

Then he saw a man with white hair approach the group. If the Acolyte was remembering correctly, he was the newly named Darth Veles. Senin heard rumors that Veles is well versed in the history of Dathomir. Since he guided Raze in the Museum of Lay Pa-Sidian and saw the painting about the Three Great Gods, the young man had increased his research about them. Several of the articles he read related these deities to those worshiped in Dathomiri shamanic rituals. He wondered if the other man would be interested in talking with him about that. Senin’s master was a Zabrak born in Dathomir, but he wanted more than one source of information.

Determined, he walked to Veles “Excuse me, Lord Veles. I’m Acolyte Senin Ravelo.” he said bowing in respect. “I’m researching the Force related mythology from my homeworld, G’wenee. Most of the articles that I found relate it with the Dathomiri shamanic culture. I heard that you have knowledge about this planet, so I thought that perhaps you could help me.” he paused, watching the other man's reaction. “Of course, if you accept, we wouldn't talk today. I was going to invite you to visit my homeworld, to show you some of the artifacts that are considered proves of this relation.

Getting a polite response from the Empress or Darth Raze was not something she had assumed this night would involve, and yet here she was getting both, and too after making what was probably not the best first impression. She had to bite down on her tongue, and hard, to force the pain to help clear her head as she extended her hand hand to shake the Sith Lord's hand.

"No," she began in response to the question, glancing back at the group she had just walked over from, "not at all." She could feel herself calming, till she realized her response might imply that the Sith she had walked away from very not at all fun. Eyes widening at the realization, she whipped her head around to correct herself. "I mean that they are fun, not that they aren't. They were just talking about clothes and shopping and it's not really my thing. Not that there's anything wrong with that, you know it's perfectly fine." She gulped visibly, and remembering that she still held the drink in her hand, she downed it in single swig.

"I am sorry, it's just I admire you both greatly and it's kind of surreal to be here speaking with you while I'm wearing pants that might have too many too many holes." Looked from one to the other for a moment, and the realization that she might have well and truly messed this up helped clear her head a little. "Sorry, I'm rambling. Yes must get this quite often, right?"

Emryc was unfazed by her question, “They’re fantastic, actually,” He said as he looked back towards Jaikus, taking a sip from his glass.

As she got on the topic of Dark Lord, Emryc shook his head, practically rolling his eyes, “If that’s all it takes, you may as well pick a random moody Feeorin off the street and slap the title on them,” Thankfully, they couldn’t keep going back and forth on the topic. Emryc focused on the acolyte, gaze briefly flicking down to the pants in question. He had no response to it, but he didn’t display anything to suggest he minded the clothing or had any opinions.

“Not often at all,” He stated after a moment, “Usually acolytes aren’t brave enough to do it. You never know when a Sith Lord might toss you off a balcony,” The mask allowed him to give her a casual wink. The stories of what he did at the last party here had made the rounds and everyone knew about it now. Most of the acolytes were too terrified to approach him, which suited him just fine. Very few acolytes caught his attention despite how much Emryc truly enjoyed teaching.

“You command the room with who you are and being true to it. What you choose to wear becomes secondary or irrelevant,” He said after taking a sip from his wine, “Have you figured out who you are?” He asked as he swirled the drink in his hand.
